I have a friend who wants to buy wireless/cordless microphones. The two brands he's looking at are Shure and AKG.

What brand does the Hello! Project concerts use?

I think I'm going to be mildly disturbed if someone actually knows the answer to this.

Hmmmm the only thing I know is that Tsunku buys the cheaper ones. It is just that he's saving money.

im not surprised, for songs like all for one and one for all, he would need like 50 or something lol.

yeah, and that explains why songs sound so badly sometimes.

Why?  Shure tends to be the standard microphone for performers, so it wouldn't surprise me if they were using SM58s when they're performing.

I can't imagine them using any other handheld microphones, but I haven't seen an MM concert in awhile.

Looking at this pic of Rika in concert, I'm fairly certain that the mics used (atleast at that show) are any of the ones we've mentioned.  Even though that's not a Shure, it looks like a SM-87A, which is ALOT of money, unless you're in the music business and/or you're touring with a nice budget.

I personally recommend the SM-58 anyway, because of it's cost and quality, but as far as I can tell, H!P is using a completely different brand.  Sorry I don't know which one...

Thanks all!

Of course, everybody knows that each microphone is color coded for each H!P girl for a concert.

Imagine having to be the roadie who has to check and label each set (mic and reciever).....

Well, from what I gathered here today.....

Sennheiser seems to be the closest. Looks similar and it even has that pointy end piece.

Dang, they're not cheap. The lower model is $1,715. I guess Shure will be the more affordable pick. Go figure, my friend bought well over $600 worth of Monster and Mogami cables for his power amp alone (QSC RMX5050 Power Amplifier).

Yep...that's the one... :yep:

Whether it's producing music, or performing, it's a REAL investment if you want to use the professional equipment.  I'm able to use some of this stuff because it's in my major and the college practically gives it to us while we're here, but I'd need to take out a(nother) loan if I wanted my own personal equipment.

These are the mics they used to use:

Then again, sometimes they use headset mics.
