The new girl group from TNX: Canary Club (http://www.tnx.cc/gg/canary.htm), consist of 9 members and split into 2 groups CAN'S (4 members) and A~ries (5 members). The members were selected from 1000 model wannabes from Spacecraft.

If you see her blog pictures those are a lot cuter than her bikini pics IMO :).

One thing I'm not sure is the group A~ries. The official site writes it as あ～りぃず, which reads as A~riizu, is it really A~ries? O_O

And they are going to release a single on 3 May 2007, cover of Tokito Ami's Sweet & Toughness. B side is Yume wo Shinjite.

I didn' t focused on the choreography, so about the PV I can just barely say I' m a bit disappointed by that all white set. I haven't thought about who caught my eyes yet but I'm definately looking forward to more things from this group.

The video was probably quite cheap because he's just testing things out with these girls, I don't think the single is even on a major label. and there's not been any promotion before this so it's kinda like this isn't really a first single but PR for people to see who they are etc. I dunno, just an idea.

Still I definately already like them ^^ I hope we get more random idol groups from Tsunku! lol.

And the PV, however cheap it is, really works with the song, for some reason. edit: ok turns out I know 2 songs but can't name them. Second one I don't know at all but I'm pretty sure it's an Ami song since both the other two are..the other are both songs the POSSIBLE have sung with Ami before. the 3rd song is something like 21seiki and the 4th is something melon related I think..like I said no clue about the 2nd though.

Can I just say, these girls sing very well!! I'm really surprised cuz this sounds really live what with some sounding way too quiet at times(either mic failures or tiredness) Anyway, they're definately a very promising group and can't wait to see mroe from them ^_^

The name of the people were "Minami Aoyama Shoujo Kagekidan". I posted this on another forum (jpopmusic to be exact :P).

The Canary Club's cover best, but I haven't heard Ami's cover of it either. I just like the way the Canary Club sings it, and how the music is arranged a bit differently.

And Yume wo Shinjite is also a cover. The original was song by the same people who originally sang SWEET&TOUGHNESS

The solo lines I'm definitely sure on, but the groups got a little tricky. Erina likes to sing the words all the time, even when she's not singing, for example. XD The toughest was getting who does the melody/harmony on the split parts; I'm fairly certain that Matsui Yurie and Sugiura Riho do most of the harmonies where they sing [but~ there's always a chance I'm totally off XD], the others I'm not so positive on, but anyway! I just watched Sweet and Toughness. It's pretty good and very cute, but I have to agree with the above. I have mixed feelings about new groups while Kanon is still basically a backup dancer. :(

The thing with the DVD is that it IS a "documentary." Many of the songs are cut short and the ones with the Cherry, Peach, and GTT Club are omitted. Ogamana's solo kicked ass the most IMO. She just eats up the crowd.

I just finished watching this, and just... WOW. They are all AMAZING! I loved this group already, and I was STILL impressed by this concert! Amazing singers, great dancers, SO MUCH energy. I was so happy to finally hear Rippon sing (I've been DYING to know what her voice sounds like), and I think I was surprised the most by Erina in this DVD. That girl can DANCE.
My only complaint is the songs getting cut short for documentary footage. :cry:

Mana and 2 other child actresses played the young versions of 3 characters in the drama who are also idols. I think the video actually comes from the drama but I'm not sure.

They're AKB48 with less girls and better music. Every track has a distinct classic J-idol-pop sound, and catchy as hell. Age range from extremely young, to nice and legal :P And there are some cuties in there. I demand all you people to like them!

And that Ogawa Mana is a great singer, and super cute. She's a star in the making.

I've watched the Nice Girl Project concert and their Hitomi ga Kirakirara perf is the highlight of it for me. That song is just too fucken awesome. And I love it that their main vocalists don't have chipmunk voices (don't get me wrong, I love me some chipmunk, but sometimes it's nice to have a bit of change)! Ogamana, Ayubee and Macchan all have really good voices. But Ogamana is just fucking awesome. And Ayubee's a dancing powerhouse :lol:

It really shows that they know how good she is, but doesn't push her in a song that would sound better with a different voice.
Also I have to say they all seem very...polished dance and singing wise. They're all so good at it! :o

Was it just me or were canary club really being...pushed/promoted in the NGP concert? I thought they had more stage time than THE posibble, which is interesting since when they were all introduced they introduced THE possible as thought they were the top dogs.(at least that's how it felt to me)

OMG!! graduation? no way T__T not in my canary club T___T How did I miss that post?
Watching their 'unopening' movie really showed them as a team...well I wish her the best in her studies and hope they lead her where she wants to go in life.

Canary (or Canaria) Club is a TNX unit and a part of Nice Girl Project. TNX is Tsunku's company and Nice Girl Project is TNX's equivalent to Hello! Project.

Canary Club started with 9 members, but one of them left completely (Riho Sugiura) and another quit the group to continue other activities in NGP (little Eriina).

What sets Canary Club apart from other idol groups? They have some members with cute voices, but the main vocals go for the members with lower, more mature and strong voices. Because of this their vocals sound refreshing if one is used to the high-pitched H!P stuff. They even have vibrato!

Hm well even if they were hired from the space craft group, they were still hired for TNX and NGP right? ...So they ARE TNX, even if they were hired from somewhere else... Saying they're not TNX at all would be wrong, too, since they're on TNX website, do NGP concerts (and NGP is TNX) and even that blogger calls them TNX girls in another post (this one (http://okurimono.wordpress.com/2009/07/10/no-shit-mecha-motte-summer-is-freakin-awesome/)).
