If it was truly the parents decision, then that is quite strange on their part. I'm assuming they would have known about contract terms way back when she auditioned for 9th gen and joined the Trainees. Guess we'll see if she pops up at another agency somewhere, though I doubt she'd be able to get a much better deal elsewhere.
From what we've seen UFP actually takes quite good care of their idols. They emphasize that their idols get an education. Yurina, Momoko, Kanon, Airi are all able to go to college while still remaining idols. They stuck by Aika for a long time while they could have let her go much earlier and are still giving her meaningful work,...
