Canon Pixus (Pixma for you guys outside Japan) iP3600

Bought it today, and it's pissing me off!!
Chose this model because I'm pushed for room, and not needing to feed the paper through the top, means it can just go in a shelf.

Problem is, the fuckin' paper comes out slightly crooked, and therefore prints crooked..
Tried everything, but can't get it to go straight..

Prints fine if I feed it through the top though.

Went from having 2x 500GB HDs for storage to 2x 1TB drives. Space was really getting tight, so it helps a lot.
Also replaced my 80GB OS hard drive with one of the 500GB I replaced.

Came out to just under $1500 with the combo deals NewEgg was doing with some of them, and even more savings to come once I do the mail in rebates. I also got a free copy of Call of Duty: World at War with that video card. Not bad for putting me up towards the top end again coming from parts in my current computer that range from 3-5 years old. A lot of the newer games my computer just can't handle, and a bit further back I still need to turn all the settings down to their lower end which makes them look like a Playstation 1 game. This should be a breath of fresh air e_e

The ear bud fits nice and securely/snugly in my ear, so the lack of an "over the ear" hook doesn't look like it's going to be an issue. It was on sale, so even after I bought the optional 3-year warranty I only spent about $60.

Long story short, a few months ago this one took a surprise/unintentional bath. I've been planning on getting a new one, however for multiple reasons I just haven't gotten to it.

Well, today school was let out an hour early, and for once I was actually able to finish up my shit and leave at a decently early time. So with the provincial government here set to pass a law banning the use of cell phones while driving, I grabbed one of these:

But as it was the last one they had, they had to pack it up, even after 10 minutes searching it turns out they used the wrong box!

I hate it when the shop packs a device in the wrong box resulting in you installing the wrong drivers and you think its because its warning about Windows7 its the problem

You install Vista and it still fails

then you see you have have drivers for the a-m version of the device, but you actually have the n-z version

Windows7 detected that it was a n-z version but as it could not find drivers in windows update I had to use the setup disk.

Re-installed Windows 7 used the correct drivers downloaded from the site and everything is working now

(yes I was doing this on a spare machine I need to scan a lot of pages in a short while)

Nice compact new desktop Acer X5810:

Its the Vista version: C2Q 8300 @ 2.5GHz, 6GB RAM 750GB HD and nVidea G210.
Meaing: It was cheaper at 500 euro then the W7 version (which is 600 euro with 4GB RAM), but you need to order the W7 upgrade.

I was going for the W7 but this is what they had in stock, no problem: I have enough W7 licences anyway because of the beta testing I participated in.

I built this Mini-ITX machine for using as a leech box but now I just use it as my main pc all the time hehe it's really snappy and quiet and uses a lot less power than the other machine with big videocard :3
