Keyakizaka46 to release their debut single on April 6

It's been announced that Keyakizaka46 will release their debut single (currently untitled) on April 6.

This announcement was made on February 6 via a video on the group's official website. Details on their debut single have not been revealed at this time.

Keyakizaka46 will also hold handshake events to commemorate the release of this single. They are scheduled to make several stops throughout Japan starting on April 17 at Makuhari Messe. The single's limited edition will enclose a "participation ticket to the handshake event or entry ticket for a special present" and one photo of a member at random.

The title of Keyakizaka46's debut single has been revealed to be "Silent Majority".

This was announced on March 7 during a press conference for "mechakari" for which Keyakizaka46 will serve as its CM character. The center will be the group's youngest member Hirate Yurina (14).

Keyakizaka46 will serve as CM characters even before their debut. "mechakari" is an app where you can rent fashion items from popular brands at a fixed amount. There are 21 different versions of the CM; one for each of the members.

"Silent Majority" will be released on April 6 in four different types: Type A-C and Regular Edition.

From what I've heard so far, it sounds very good for a first single. Great that they skipped the "Guru Guru Curtain/Oide Shampoo" eras for Keyakizaka

So I've watched almost all their shows; girls are almost all endearing but the hosts are kind of off putting.

I've learnt to tolerate the bald one but the other one who looks like an Akihabara AV scout I'll never be able to put up with.
