Shouldn't cost as much either since it's not as far for me and might find small-city hotels.

Edit: Damn, just checked the Doubletree the convention center is connected to, and you can possibly get good rooms for $75/night O_O Feels like spoiling after experiences in reserving hotel rooms in downtown Tokyo, LA and Seattle.

But hell, that's two straight years!! Go Berryz!!! They'll be the international face of H!P

I guess that high average age is good for somethin'.

Even Risako will be 18 by then!!! Maybe she'll talk more.

I'm starting to sway more to this than the Buono event even though this one is a lot further for me to travel. But the plus is that this is several days and hopefully there will be more than just a concert. I'm hopeful for handshake events.

I know I've got enough money for this anyway (actually, flights for me are cheaper than I expected they would be so thats a plus). I've just got to see if I can get the time free. But luckily there's still plenty of time to go

Ahh Berryz again.

I'd loved to go but with it being across the country from me it's not as easy as going to Seattle that was 2 states away from me.

Though, I gotta admit this doesn't sound as exciting as Sakura Con was.

Seeing the group I already saw and flying across the country to a subburbs city in New Jersey.

Still seeing a hello!project group(even if it was one I already saw) and doing all the events and being among so many hello!project fans still sounds greatly fun so I'll just see what will happen over the next few months.

^Yeah, the vibe I'm getting from reading about this is that the convention it's self is kinda quite small. I didn't go to Sakura-con but I think that was quite a big convention wasn't it? But the upside is that if it's small, it might have a more 'personal' feel too it. I remember AX being difficult at times just because there were so many people around that it was a battle to get to one event from another because they were always a long way apart and there were constant crowds of people everywhere. At least if this is a smaller venue everything will be closer.

I'll reserve judgement until more information comes up though. Which I guess probably wont happen for a few months.

For now I'm just going to work on getting this in place so that I can go.

I mean, not that we didn't at times at least at Sakuracon

but we can truly make this a Berryz convention!

Also, after doing a check at the NJ Transit site from Penn Station in NYC to New Brunswick (which is close to the con), it's about an hour long, $13 train ride if you'd want to go into the city. Not terribly quick and cheap, but we'll be spending hundreds of dollars at the con already, right?

Wouldn't be something to do all the time, but nice for sight-seeing, especially for someone like me who hasn't been to NYC before! That might make it feel a little less like the middle of nowhere.

I went to Sakura-Con (for hANGRY & ANGRYf) and I remember the registration line took approximately 180 minutes to get through. So, a smaller con would have some advantages.

However, last year, at the same location, animeNEXT drew 8,100+ people, so don't expect it to be a small convention. It's smaller than SakuraCon (18,000+) but still pretty big.

I'm gonna say I'm in. By the end of the weekend, should be done with plane, hotel and con reg.
Where are people looking to stay? It seems a lot of the H-O people are taking over the holiday inn?
I was thinking double tree myself, but depends on where you all are going.

I am containing my excitement until I find out if other cons will screw me over with other acts I have yet to see live.

But I am committed to going to this since I've never been out east ever.

Very excited to see Berryz again...its just that the way the moneys going, wasnt sure I could afford to go back east.
But seeing Berryz and fellow H!psters that make it out will make the indebtidness worth it.

Sweet! More folks joining in on the party. I still haven't booked my plane ticket or vacation time at work. Hope to get that done soon.
