Lance Armstrong potentially losing all his victories since 1998 is f'ing bullshit.
If they go through with that they ruin the sport forever and throw away years of cycling history

Judoka Uchishiba sentenced to prison

TOKYO (AP)

Two-time Olympic judo champion Masato Uchishiba was sentenced Friday to five years in prison for raping a female member of a university judo club in 2011.

In handing down his ruling, judge Tomonao Onizawa said the court ''cannot trust at all'' claims by Uchishiba that he had consensual sex with the student, Kyodo news agency reported.

Uchishiba, 34, who gold in the 66-kilogram class at the Athens and Beijing Olympics, is expected to appeal.

The judge said the woman's accusation of sexual assault while she was asleep was credible given that she could not stand up on her own after drinking too much alcohol at a restaurant. Prosecutors accused Uchishiba of intoxicating the student in order to take advantage of her inability to resist.

Uchishiba was arrested in December 2011 over the rape allegation and barred from all judo activities by the All Japan Judo Federation in January 2012.

The ruling is the latest in a series of embarrassing incidents to hit judo.

On Thursday, Japan's women's judo coach Ryuji Sonoda resigned over accusations he physically abused female judoka at a training camp before the London Olympics.

Japan failed to win a gold medal in men's judo at London. The only gold for the nation that invented the sport was won by Kaori Matsumoto in the women's 57-kilogram division.

Lucky for Eberle they're paying him to play hockey and not to be an actor. :P

As for Jay and Dan...well, Canadians who've watched them on SportsCentre know that this is actually pretty normal for them. After all, it's Jay and Dan.

Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole are leaving TSN for Fox Sports
Sean Fitz-Gerald | 13/05/03 | Last Updated: 13/05/03 8:35 PM ET

Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole are leaving Canadian television.

A year after the Wall Street Journal praised their efforts to “reinvigorate the genre” of sports highlight shows, the popular TSN anchors on Friday announced they are leaving for work in the United States. It has been reported they are leaving for Fox Sports.

Interview requests to TSN, as well as to the anchors, were not immediately answered.

“The moment I was paired with Dan on SportsCentre, I knew we had the chance to do something Canadians would really love,” Onrait said in a release distributed by TSN on Friday afternoon. “For the last decade we have received more love from our viewers than we could have ever imagined – and for this, we are eternally grateful.”

Onrait and O’Toole have inspired a legion of tributes on YouTube.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... :(

So what's TSN going to do to fill the inevitable "funny" void when Jay and Dan leave? Shit like this?
