At today's handshake event (November 18, 2012), the release date for SKE48's 11th Single was revealed: January 30, 2013.

Total ~ 7 types if you count regular and limited separately plus theater edition.

It’s been revealed that SKE48 will be releasing a new single (currently untitled) on January 30th.

This was announced on November 18th during the group’s handshake event for ‘Kiss Datte Hidarikiki‘ at Pacifico Yokohama. As Matsui Rena called out, “I have an important announcement for everyone!“, a message saying, “The second chapter of SKE48 will start“, was projected onto the monitor. The opening of SKE48’s official theater on December 9th was announced once again.

Since the members weren’t informed of the new single release, they were surprised by the sudden announcement. The title and senbatsu members will be announced sometime later.

Additionally, the music video for SKE48’s new song, “Tsuyogari Tokei“, was revealed during the event. This song is the coupling track to the Type A edition of AKB48’s upcoming single, “Eien Pressure“, which will be released on December 5th. In the music video, Kitahara Rie, who belongs in both AKB48 and SKE48 will make an appearance.

So what do you folks think of this lineup?

Personally, I would prefer that Nao & more Team E members should be featured. I like NanNan & Anna, but for Anna, her popularity really isn't up there. Nannan already got featured in the last single's lineup, featuring Nao will allow us to see what she can do, & is better for the long term development of SKE imo. Lack of Team E is a pity, & I'm sure there are push-worthy members other than Non. Madoka seems to do really well in handshake, so she should be given a chance in senbatsu.

That is just my personal opinion of course. I would love to hear what you folks have in mind about this.

Let's see:

- I agree about the lack of Team E. The Kinchan push stopped and nobody really took over. Personally I'd go for Shibaya, Kyoka and Takeuchi Mai, but from what I've been hearing Nao is quite popular too so why not her too.
- Suga Nanako is pretty much guaranteed senbatsu for life. They've been pimping her like crazy and I don't think that will stop any time soon. They're betting on her for future generation ace.
- Ishida Anna making it back in is no surprise either. Like I said earlier somewhere, the girls who are in two groups need pimping.
- If I had to remove girls to make room for more Team E girls it would be Ogiso Shiori, Yakata Miki and maybe even Hata.

SKE48 11th Single 「Choco no Dorei」(release January 30th)

SKE48 11th single’s title and senbatsu have been revealed during today’s KKS stage.

Title is Choco no Dorei (Chocolate’s Slave) and senbatsu members are as follow:

Team S : Rena, Jurina, Yuria, Masana, Nanako, Akarin, Kumin

Team KII : Anna, Ogiso, Shawako, Airin, Manatsu, Miki, Churi

Team E : Kanon

Unknown : Kitarie

According to Aki-P it’s a Valentine song and Rena added the lyrics are about a boy anxious at the thought of receiving choco or not from the girl he likes…

From someone who was in the theater today: “Song is quite similar to Jealousy no Alibi, and refrain is close from Shijin’s one”.

Fans are a bit skeptic about the single title given how 「奴隷」 is a “rude” word or at least very strong (often implying sexual submission too)… Though I find it quite interesting myself.

Senbatsu now… I will refrain from commenting because I might use rude words >_>’. Anyway, still only Kanon from E sounds like a joke. Nao, Madoka, where?! >_>’.

Actually I was wondering about why Team E don't have more members in the coupling songs since I thought the point of it is to showcase the "under girls" unless the songs are going to be used in some sort of ad campaign maybe

I guess it is sort of a slightly upbeat version but I'm not too sure what they mean by that now 
Still I like it, it's not a simple cute song and I can't quite catch the words but I think it's the typical unrequited love theme that we're used to from SKE

LOL, agreed, it sounds nothing like JnA at all. Neither does the refrain resemble Shijin    No electric guitars anywhere!

First thoughts:
- Maybe it's because I got my hopes up for a ballsy rock song, but it sounds a bit bland...
- Parts of it remind me of old Team A songs
- It's a toned down/less energetic version of their 1234/banzai type songs

Idk, hearing this and the Darkness preview... Not my cup of tea. Bit disappointed tbh.
