Word, G.E.M. Tang and Chrissie Chau is gonna be here in Toronto on Dec 28, 2009!   Presented by WowTV.

Its a dinner at the Richmond Hill Community Centre or something.  Tickets are like +$100 tho... i'm gonna pass.  Unless they like,  feed you or something =D That would be so awesome

But it is Gem AND Super Hottie HK Bikini babe Chrissie Chau.  I don't know what Chrissie gonna do there, but i guess shes a big attraction for guys  :fap  i'd post pics, but this is Gem's thread, and i'm at work =P it'll look bad on me. Google her tho!

But, i heard Gem's gonna do an autograph signing at Pacific Mall on the 29/30.  Just thru the grapevine, its not confirmed. However, and i think i'm gonna go to that one if its true.  Its gonna be so crowded.  

Gem is pretty good though, she's cute, and only 18

I went! :D ...Though unable to get her autograph...=(

I got to the mall at 3:30PM whereas the signing was to start at 5 but the line was just so damn long, I ended up waiting around the corner behind some shop where I couldn't see what was going on the stage.

I've got some complaints about the planning about this event though. It was advertised that the signing would take place from 5-7; GEM ended up getting onto the stage at around 5:30, talked with the MCs and answered fan questions for another 15 minutes or so and ended up having to get off the stage at 6:30 or so (she probably got out of the building at like 6:50 with all the people crowding around taking pictures of her afterwards) because she was in a rush (apparently her flight back to HK was later on in the night).


There was actually a concert too yesterday night! :D

This is how her singing that night sounded: take any of her songs and imagine that exact voice being heard in a concert setting. I'm not saying she lip-synced; rather she sounds exactly the same as how she does in her recorded songs, including all the high notes. She hit every note that night. It was an AMAZING night. I rather liked how they planned this one out compared to the autograph event: after every two songs, the MC would come out and have a little chat with GEM. This allowed her to at least get a chance to settle down in between songs, connect a bit with the audience and just show who she is as a person. Of course, with guests from out-of-town, you've got to give them some sort of gift that represents here and so, GEM gets.....a cup of Starbucks. With warm water instead of coffee. XD Was good for laughs.

^ Just to clarify, $100 was for the dinner event with Chrissie. For the concert, tickets were VIP, $88 or $44 for seats (I got VIP :D) and the autograph session was free ('cept if you bought some raffle ticket thing for $20, you'd become VIP = 2 items signed + picture with GEM, something that wasn't originally publicly known and when it was...they started selling these tickets from the FRONT of the line  :thumbdown: ).

G.E.M Tang is constantly working, busy shooting for magazine cover and advertisements. On her website, she uploaded photos of her before she put on make-up, which is a huge difference from the after photos! Turns out that her forehead is full of pimples, but after make-up it becomes smooth, making her feel that cosmetics are amazing. Besides using cosmetics, she also wore a wig for the photo shoot, completely wiping out her pimples!

Oh, I didn't know there was a thread for G.E.M. I was tempted to make one myself, but it looks like I don't have to. :3

I'm a fairly new fan; I got into her music a few weeks ago. My favorite song of hers is probably Seung Gong Nei Ji. The video for it's really cute/funny, too. XD

G.E.M youngest female singer to step into Hong Kong Coliseum

18 year old G.E.M Tang held a press conference in Bejing for her first Mandarin album. She also announced that she'll be holding a concert in Hong Kong Coliseum by the end of the year, breaking the record of being the youngest female singer to hold a concert in Hong Kong Coliseum.

The day before, GEM arrived in Beijing for her new album "18" press conference, gaining the support from the executive in her record company. GEM performed her new song on the keyboard while she sang it. Then she performed a challenging musical song "Think of Me", she won warm applause from the audience with her high notes. GEM said modestly: "This song is one of the songs I just imitate to sing for fun, please bear with me!"

She expressed that she has paid attention to JW (Janice Wong), a female music newcomer heavily promoted by Leon Lai, she said: "JW is a high school friend who I met from the school's singing contest. We have always kept in touched, but she hid her entry into the industry." GEM expresses that earlier when she was listening to music, she pointed out JW's voice, but JW refused to admit it: "Perhaps it's her company's way of promoting."

GEM expressed that JW is a Spanish, Philipino and Chinese mix, asked if JW is taller than her? GEM said: "She's taller than me? I met her when I was 14, we were about the same height."

Though speaking of a new album, there's been leaks of new GEM songs lately; so I wouldn't be surprised if there'll be a new album released in the coming months! :thumbsup

Yesterday G.E.M Tang received an interview at an event. Regarding news of the split of Isabella Leong and Richard Li, G.E.M answered: “I haven’t got much to comment. With relationship issues, it is difficult for outsiders to understand and give comments.” Asked if she wants to marry a wealthy partner, she answered: “I have not considered it. I downloaded G.E.M. and 18... but I justjumped from song to song to see what kind of style she had. I think it's kind of cool that she is influenced by Christina Aguillera, though :)

G.E.M.'s official Facebook page linked this image that says her Concert DVD was the most sold musical in Hong Kong during the period 20-26th November. (Unless I understood something wrong, the pre-orders) started on the 26th). I think this is really cool, but we still shouldn't forget that a newly released DVD probably sells better than a new one.

He doesn't have to say "I Love You", but his actions must show that he cares about me and really does love me. If I gave him 100% of my love, and he gives me back only 20%, I would feel it's unfair and he's definitely a bad man. I would feel discouraged and won't love him again. So, that's why I always argued with my ex-boyfriend over some small matters!

Last September, I was baptized. When I officially got to know Jesus' altruistic love, I understood what love really was. It is not about what you get in return or the contributions; not about receiving gifts from boyfriend and so I have to give one back. It is, you give the gift to him purely because you love him. In the past two years, GEM Tang did not release any new albums, recently she has been preparing for her latest album and flew to the United States to shoot the MVs and the album cover. GEM expressed her new song Subconscious Cruelty (潛意式的殘酷) is about her personal emotional issues: "The most harm given to a person is not the physical pain, but is the subconscious mind! When there are a lot of things suppressing you, and so many people criticizing you, if not handled well, you can really get depression!"

GEM frankly said she has different views when facing different problems. In the recent year, she has been facing issues with her relationship, family and religion. Asked if she has turned into a problematic youth? She said: "I am a normal person too, we all have different problems. (How do you resolve them?) My greatest way out of problems is God! I personally face a lot of problems, but I found a way to release it all. I want everyone to know how I fell and how I got back up, so I have even more hope in life and love life even more. If can't find a way out, then it be very difficult!"

GEM expressed: "I am impatient myself, but I don't want my new songs to have no meaning, so that's why its taking so long! Although the problems I faced weren't death or any disaster, but I still have to face them. So, this album is very energetic because we will find a way out of everything!"

GEM also reveals that she found a Finland director to help her shoot her MVs and tailored several costumes for the shoot. There are 9 outfits for just one MV, seriously exaggerated! Asked if any of the outfits are sexy? She said: "Not too sexy, the primary purpose is to make the feeling of the song stand out!"

G.E.M Slaps CRHK's Chik Chak in the Face, Video Clip Bashing Faking Fairness

Earlier G.E.M voiced her dissatisfaction, "the mechanism is unfair, [they're] clearly helping their own people". Apparently this was advance notice that she's not attending tonight's CRHK Chik Chak Music Awards 2012. A few nights ago, she uploaded a 4 minute clip, bashing that an awards ceremony lacks fairness. Although she didn't give a name, but because she added Chik Chak's old videos in her clip, it is clear who she is talking about. Yesterday Wong Cho Lam praised "Amazing GEM, you're brave." Paul Wong supported her: "Faking fairness does not mean their truly overbearing. I'm reposting this!" In the past, Denise Ho left the Chik Chak awards empty-handed, she supported GEM in a neutral manner: "I've been upset before because my song didn't advance to the top 10; I later realized, its nothing more than a game by a single business." She also added what her mentor Anita Mui taught her, "do your own thing with modesty and seriousness is the most important" to encourage GEM.

He said earnestly: "And is there is a need for you get so many people involved on something you think its meaningless and shoot such a good quality clip? You say you don't care, but in your heart you actually do care?" Former CRHK DJ (Sin Lei Mui) added: "Hong Kong really isn't right for you."  Earlier GEM's manager (Cheung Dan) bashed CRHK because of issues with her concert's promotions. Yesterday he expressed he does not regret the 'provoking' video clip uploaded online. The Chik Chak footage only appeared for two seconds, which shouldn't be a copyright infringement. He continued: "Actually we don't mind the awards, just dissatisfied with the fake voting system and they're saying their being fair. In fact, it's just voted by a small circle of people. I spoke up because I want everyone to recognize this issue and hope the music industry improves." He said GEM should have won an award, "If we are willing to attend, I believe she'll get the award. I contacted the responsible department before, but they were too busy to follow up!"

 CRHK's spokesperson expressed: "The clip didn't say which radio station's music awards she was referring to. I don't know what I'm responding to. Why not just ask GEM to get a better understanding first."
