Aaron Eckhart Prepares For Battle: Los Angeleshttp://www.firstshowing.net/2008/11/17/aaron-eckhart-prepares-for-battle-los-angeles/
Aaron Eckhart has officially joined Battle: Los Angeles as the lead. The project is being directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) and was written by Chris Bertolini (The General's Daughter). The story in Battle: Los Angeles follows a Marine platoon's encounter in the battle on the streets of Los Angeles against an alien invasion. This marks the first big lead role in an action movie for Eckhart, who as we all know did a phenomenal job as Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight earlier this summer. The project sounds interesting but apparently has an awful script. Will Eckhart be able to save it?
Battle: Los Angeles is being developed at Columbia Pictures / Sony Pictures with Neal H. Moritz (I Am Legend) producing, but doesn't officially have a start date yet. I hope they're hiring some talented screenwriters to come in and clean up Bertolini's script, because I've heard some very bad things from multiple sources. I really like Eckhart and don't want this project to be the one that brings him down, so I hope he can save it from certain death. Liebesman seems passionate about the project, which is a good start, I just hope it pays off with a great finished product.
Towelhead was interesting, to say the least. It's something Sexhart fans should look into, though :yep:
