Hello I have a question about this Mecha Ike corner with the MC guy with glasses. Is this show always like that ??? I watched the one AKB was promoting UZA last year and some gifts for the new one. I think they guy is so rude with girls, AKB really needs to go to this kind of show to promote its song???

The show used to be like this. It used to do a lot more crazy stuff akin to AKBINGO. If you watched Mecha-Ike regularly now a days you might criticize it for not doing enough. The Bakuretsu Father corner is always like this though. Bakuretsu means like, explosive so the father is naturally getting angry and thrashing the AKB girls around.

And AKB has always promoted itself through Mecha-Ike. I’m sure Aki-P and Fuji TV have some sort of partnership. They had the test and Paruru’s SP and whatnot. They’re in a good working relationship. They’ve done stuff with other idols too, like Arashi and whatnot. But you’ve just happened to catch the most recent ones, and Kato Koji has just had a field day thrashing these girls around.

I don’t think he’s rude at all, it’s the nature of variety and how it works. I’m usually okay with all of it, except kicking Mayuyu in the head. That was a bit too much I think. The cobra twisting, the water, that’s all been done before on programs other than Mecha-Ike with the girls. But Kato Koji is known for being of brash and whatnot. The girls know this and they deal with it. Idols of today aren’t the idols of the 80’s, and you have to do a lot more to survive, that’s for sure.

I personally thought Mayuyu however shined in the Mecha-Ike SP. It’s not everyday she appears on a live variety show, so I think she performed magnificently for not being the best with variety. She’s really grown as a person and idol.

Watanabe Mayu is to be a voice actor in the Japanese dub of "Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters".

She will voice the lead female role of "Annabeth", who is acted by Alexandra Daddario.

This is Mayu's first role dubbing over a foreign part in a movie... though she has done the full voice-over for the anime film "Nerawareta Gakuen" and AKB0048 before...

Err, yes, the movie is originally being released in American, but is being dubbed into Japanese for release there, as mentioned in my post above...

And Mayuyu has a good quality in the dubbing, as in the film Nerawareta Gakuen.
And maybe it's a job that suits her than singing.

AKB48 member Watanabe Mayu will be voice acting for the Japanese dubbed version of the American film, 'Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters' (directed by Thor Freudenthal), which will open in theaters in Japan on November 1st.



The film is the sequel to 2010's fantasy adventure film, 'Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief'. The protagonist Percy (Logan Lerman) will be voiced by voice actor/singer Miyano Mamoru and Watanabe will be in charge of the voice of the heroine Annabeth (Alexandria Daddario).



Watanabe commented, "I will play my role to the best of my ability so that I won't bring shame onto its name."
