Happy Anniversary to all the Muscats family :twothumbs

They released two DVDs

OMG Bought the damn DVDs. These girls are going to leave me poor! The compilation DVDs cover from the first beginning of the show to the episode where Mirei joined. There are some uncensored bits like Mai's Antonio Inoki's impersonation. Some of the dialogue is still censored, though. It is a nice compilation but for anyone who downloaded the episodes from Youtube there's little to see here :smhid The Live Concert DVDs are quite good.

Airi Nagasaku performed live at a shopping mall located in the city of Niigata. Fortunately, photos were allowed this time so I got some snapshots of her :inlove:

She recently launched her own Youtube channel. She uploaded a full version of her song サヨナラ雨/Sayonara Ame. It is an awesome ballad and she wrote the lyrics herself! :twothumbs

I read that too. Can't say I'm surprised since lately she wasn't seen with the other members but the group won't be the same without her  I guess Nanami will take her spot as the leader now?

Awww... Mai & Kirara. Love to see my favorite girls together  :inlove:

Time for some eyecandy now with lovely OG member Saemi. She's getting better and better! :w00t::shocked::bow:

I'm very new on this thread, which has helped me a lot to understand what has become in the last year an entertainment I look forward to more than any other - the Fabulous Muscats.
Though I don't understand the Japanese language at all, I love the show, and I don't expect to ever be able to explain why I love a program in a language foreign to me. But that's just a testament to how good it is, if you want my opinion.
Thank you to all who have posted here over the years. You've made it possible to become even more obsessed with the Muscats. They all seem to be such talented comic performers.
If I were a Japanese TV producer, I'd commission writers to work up at least one sitcom for some of the most talented of them, like Hanami Natsume, Marina Shiraishi, Kana Yume, and the Lucille Ball of Japan - Yuria Satome.
Looking forward to YouTube vids of last night's sports competition.
THANKS AGAIN!

And now, a serious news:

Rika Kawamura, stated in her blog, found out that she has cervical adenocarcinoma (cervical cancer - stage 1), and she had surgery last April 27th to remove it. She is on her road to recovery.

Haven't watched the show yet but I'm pretty sure that's 青山めぐ/Megu Aoyama from the プラチナム軍団/Platinum Army Corps. She participated on some episodes of Muscat Night Fever (the Table Tennis Contests).

I hope Rika is OK

Nice selfie from the show with Masami, Mai and Akino :inlove:

I like the Yua IV at heart line, but is more "IV at heart, AV in body and mind"

I’m taking a bit of an interest in what Japanese AV actresses earn because recent and kind-of recent news articles create confusion on the issue. Check this out, and I’ll explain my concerns:

According to an article in the Tokyo Reporter ( https://www.tokyoreporter.com/2016/10/31/porn-starlet-exposed-by-the-tokyo-tax-office/ , Yuria Satomi received an average of $58,000 per year for her work as an AV actress.

In an article in the Daily Mail two weeks ago ( http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-5704439/Ex-Japanese-porn-star-reveals-earned-168k-MONTH-star-28-adult-films.html ), Emiri Okazaki was quoted saying:
“There are two main types of contracts for female porn stars, Emiri explained. The first option is an annual contract of one film a month, earning the actress between $10,000 (£7,400) and $100,000 (£78,000) per title. The second is a 'pay-per-shoot' contract in which the actress is paid depending on the work required on a given film. This would be $2,000 (£1,500) to $6,000 (£4,400) per shoot.”

•   Was it possible that during the height of her career, Yuria was getting low-scale earnings – according to what Emiri reported?
•   Is it really possible that the most sought-after actresses can make as much as ¥11 million for one title (maybe three or four scenes, at most)?
•   There have been a number of articles reporting that the revenues for the Japanese porn industry are down in the last few years. If true, how are the huge pay packets Emiri reports possible?

My concern is that either the actresses’ managers are getting way more than the actresses or that rookie actresses are getting lured into the business with false expectations, or both.
They deserve retirement money for providing what I consider to be a valuable service to society. Seriously, I think they’re one reason why the birth rate is declining: they have sex and we’re satisfied with just watching.

Yuira, no idea
Yes some girls can make astronomical amounts for a few movies but not forever
Yeah the AV industry as a whole is not in a good place

In general the "type 1" actresses are not getting ripped off by their management as far as I can tell - contract AV actresses in Japan are probably the best protected porn stars in the world. The "type 2" girls are the ones that do as many movies in a short time as possible without being tied to a label, I assume they need money fast for some reason, they usually don't stick around for that long.

Girls get tricked into doing AV all the time thinking they would just be modeling, but the vast majority do it of their own free will.

They don't deserve retirement money, they can save up themselves from what they earn.
