The above 15 are the ones who moved on from the initial audition, so it's still unclear on the number of finalists.
Tough to pick any favorites based on what we have so far, but #3, #6 and #9 have my current attention. :lol:

I think Idoling!!! needs more weird personalities than cute girls, though. Give me a whacked out plain-looking girl over an adorable super-idol anyday.
I wonder when we'll get the results. Were these girls posted on the site or something? How were these found?

The results should be announced at their 7th live, I think. Haven't seen much info on it, though.
The audition stuff was featured in the latest number of BOMB.
It's now confirmed that the candidates will be at the 7th live 1/24. According to Young Gangan which also has some information on the audition, 8 out of the current 15 will move on to the next round which is at Shinagawa Yoshimoto Princess Theater 3/6.

Can't really say that I like what I see. I really miss the 1st gen-only days where Eto-chan was the only kiddie around. And I also don't want the group to grow much larger than it already is but oh well, show must go on.

I know exactly what you mean. With the new generation joining, someone will have to graduate soon. And I will dread the day when either Endou or Yazawa graduate!!!
As for 4th Gen, I like 2, 3, 13, 14 so far...

Based on these videos, here are my picks:
#6 Noriko Kadota - Honestly, she seems kind of retarded, but it makes her interesting. She's like a weirder, less energetic Umeko.
#12 Kaoru Gotou - She seems really comfortable in front of a crowd, and her spazzy, hyper personality is interesting. It may need to be toned down a bit, though.
#14 Manami Nomoto - I busted out laughing when she was just standing for a few seconds with that goofy looking smile. That alone is enough for me to vote her in. :lol:

I approve. I didn't really follow the auditions because they were confusing (And I assume mostly covered only on Idoling!!! Nikki,), but I re-watched the self-introductions and I get good vibes from all of the girls they picked, especially Manami and Chika.
Kind of upset Marina didn't get in, though. Her self-introduction was boring and kind of fake, but it wasn't over-the-top and stupid like Momoko.
And Noriko.... :( She would've been so funny on the show.
When do they debut on the show?

Aww... I was hoping to go a perfect 3/3 on my picks, but 2/3 isn't bad... even though they cut my favorite out of the three picks. I hope we get to see the TV broadcast of the final round that airs on the 19th. I'm kind of curious to see why they cut Noriko. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the 4th generation members. There were some of those girls that I'm glad they cut... Some of them were kind of annoying right off the bat.

I'm not quite sure how they picked those numbers, but that's what's on the Idoling!!! Web site. According to the Fuji TV On Demand Web site, the last episode of Idoling!!! in March is on the 18th. The show will be on break until April 1, which is probably when the 4th generation members will make their first appearances. I'm hoping that the show gets a presentation overhaul as well. They used Bang! Ready to Go (and a variation of it) from 2006 to 2008, and Uchuu Elevator has been in use for roughly the same amount of time. I mean, I like Uchuu Elevator, but I think it's time for the show to get a "new coat of paint" with a new set, new graphics, and new music.
