For their upcoming single, the 8 members of ‘Hachifukujin’, which include Akimoto, Ikuta Erika, Ikoma Rina, Sakurai Reika, Shiraishi Mai, Hashimoto Nanami, Hoshino Minami, and Matsumura Sayuri, will remain in the senbatsu.

In addition, Ito Nene, Inoue Sayuri, Takayama Kazumi, Nakada Kana, Nagashima Seira, Nishino Nanase, Fukagawa Mai, and Wakatsuki Yumi has been chosen to make up the back row.

Nakada was a senbatsu member for Nogizaka46’s 3rd single, “Hashire! Bicycle“. This will be Ito and Nagashima’s first time in the senbatsu.

If I may share my 2 cents: I think this method of announcing the senbatsu is really very cruel and Nogizaka46's management should really reconsider.   :smhid

^I concur. It is much wore considering the fact that senbatsu announcement don't seem to be based on anything equitable (popularity, talent, etc.) So it seems like management is inflicting unnecessary pain with their favoritism. :(

It is said the Director Yamashita is known two producing a couple of successful movies. Additionally, it seems that there will be an untitled movie being auditioned (restricted to only the 16 senbatsu members or all is unknown, as the two news clips contain contrary info). The audition process will become the PV than it seems. The result of the audition (the movie) will be contained in the single's DVD as a result. If there's any wrong info here please correct me!

Edit: It seems like only the senbatsu members will participate in the audition process. I'm quite disappointed at that really, as there are talented & popular members not in senbatsu, & they should at least have the chance to shine in this process.

The director said he will either choose one members or six. Words are he also directed the PV. So maybe screen time are indicative of who shall get the role? If so, Ikoma & Myumyu have a lot of screen time it seems.

The outfit Nogizaka wore when performing Kimi no Na wa Kibou in their 1st debut Anniversary.

Also, there's new information regarding the bonus videos now.
The videos will be directed by established professionals, not as rumoured by the members themselves. There are exceptions however; Wakatsuki Yumi had written her own novel, & will be directing & acting in her own video based upon her novel (there will be professional producers to help). Matsumura Sayuri's video will be the responsibility of a journalist instead too. Yukina's will have her own solo version of Seifuku no Mannequin, directer by Mannequin's directer & taken in the same location (to made up for not participating in it). Nanase's video was taken while filming the PV for Kimi no Na wa Kibou, named Kimi no Na wa Nishino.

The preview of these PV will be available on February the 25th on Youtube.

Personal thoughts:
Wasn't a fan of Mannequin's PV, so I actually would prefer that Yukina not have a solo version of it. :sweatdrop:
Well at least she's back & actively participating in the group again! Really look forward to Myumyu's self-directed, self-acted video; she have displayed great artistic talent many times before already so I'm sure the video won't disappoint!

Personal thoughts: I really like this song! :twothumbs
Its cheerful, the dance is less weird (altho still a little bit weird) & the PV is more original than Kimi no Na wa Kibou imo.
Funny title tho, one would expect a horror song/PV based on the name lol (Friday the 13th for literal translation.)

Some of the previews are nice, some not so much, like always I guess. I really like how Marika's bonus video always have an original song to it. Her songs have a really unique taste to it with very original lyric (likely written by herself lol). Nanamin's acting skill is impressive! I make the rumour that she's currently filming a drama very believable for me! Hinatan have a horror story in the making it seems & Misamisa is braving the cold for her video! Kudos to both! & of course Myumyu's video being based on her own story is going to be really worth watching too!

A reversal of fortune it seems! While previously, the established pattern was selling more & more regular edition, & inversely less & less (relatively) DVD editions. Does this reversal of trend indicate greater growth among casual fan-base, & a stagnation in the wota population as recent HS results might be suggesting? All in all tho, I guess this is certainly a silver lining considering the growth of sale isn't much.
