I'm making this a freestyle ranking instead, but I'm leaving the poll open. :cow:

Freestyle basically means that you pick the ranking subject and you pick the available ranking spots. Anything goes, unless you're bordering the red line which I'm sure most of you should be familiar with. :tama-mad:

My picks for the poll, by the way:

#02 Zumi
#03 Maipuru
#11 Suu-chan

Since I only know Idoling chicks via a couple of IV's, I can only pick two right now.

#7 Yazawa Erika
#11 Morita Suzuka

But hopefully I can revise this soon enough.  XD

Wow still no votes for Yokoyama huh? I expected Yokoyama, Koizumi and Morita to lead the ranking, but Yokoyama didn't make the cut at all. Morita is awesome, so its understandable  :thumbup

I guess Yokoyama is only famous among the Japanese fan?

Rurika gets a vote from me

Current top 3 for me would be Yokoyama, Endo and Tonooka. Just don't ask me to choose between them, since it almost changes daily

1. Michelle
2. Sakacchi
3. Suuchan

I do love them all, though. (edit: Except Maia.)

It's weird how Suuchan is the only popular girl that's one of my favorites. :X My other 2 favorites are Amimi and Kaede.

1. Tonooka

*massive gap*

2. Asahi, my birthday twin!
3.  #1 and #2 look good, but I don't really know them that well. Guess I'll go with Koizumi.

looking at the voting result for now, it really says that Idoling is made up of numorous members and not just one girl.  :twothumbs

aaaw darn BarrieV to have a birthday twin  :thumbup

when I just started out with Idoling it was really a problem in deciding my favorites though, this is the only idol group that I like just about everyone. Normally they'd be a girl or two in an Idol group that makes you go  but this group was a real toughie cause everyone is just

We need some more random rankings!

My favorite members in terms of character and personality. It's not much different than if I were to do an overall ranking, though...

My top three:
#1 Saya-nee (the self-proclaimed leader. What not to like!)
#2 Zumi (Just love her princess status within the group)
#3 Maipuru (Seeing her play base in the latest live concert really make me appreciate her more)

In that order as well (nice 1-2-3 in more way than 1:))

Rumi's legend just will never die  :thumbup

Coming out ranking
Asahi Nao
Ookawa Ai
Miyake Hitomi
[/list]

Nao in the earlier episodes and in the current episodes are just so much of a difference. Can't say that I hate them cause right now Nao is a real pleasure to have in the show.

Got a little bored so decided to do some analysis based on the 6 ranked results posted on this thread.

Rank   Name                Points                Average rank   Standard deviation
1   Endou Mai                28                4.7                   3.7
2   Koizumi Rumi             32                5.3                   4.2
3   Yazawa Erika            42                7.0                   1.9
4   Ookawa Ai                43                7.2                   5.4
6   Asahi Nao                48                8.0                   4.6
6   Morita Suzuka           48                8.0                   3.8
7   Tonooka Erica           49                8.2                   5.0
9   Katou Sayaka           53                8.8                   7.5
9   Yokoyama Rurika       53                8.8                   4.4
10   Miyake Hitomi          62                10.3                   7.2
12   Kikuchi Ami             70                11.7                   5.1
12   Fonchi                   70                11.7                   6.0
13   Sakai Hitomi           71                11.8                   5.6
15   Hashimoto Kaede     74                12.3                   6.1
15   Tachibana Yurika     74                12.3                   4.9
16   Michelle Miki           75                12.5                   8.5
17   Kawamura Yui         83                13.8                   4.3
18   Eto Maria               85                14.2                   3.9
19   Nagano Serina         88                14.7                   5.6
20   Takiguchi Mira         92                15.3                   3.7
21   Kobayashi Maia      119                 19.8                   2.4

Some interesting observations from this:
- Endou and Koizumi own this lists (for good reason:) )
- Ookawa is surprisingly popular, ranking 4th, much higher than her 3rd gen peers. On the other hand, Takiguchi is surprisingly high in the ranking across the board (ranking 2nd last overall)
- Katou and Michelle seem to be the most 'controversial' idols, i.e. they got both very high and very low rankings (Katou got two 1's and one 21; Michelle got two top3 and two 20's).
- Yazawa on the other hand is the most consistent, ranking 5 to 10 on the 6 lists.
- Seems like 'cuteness' does not sell as Hashimoto and Nagano both come in quite lowly
- Generation-wise, 1st Gen comes out on top (9.3 avg. ranking) followed by 3rd Gen (10.6) and 2nd (12.3). Go 1st Gen!

Will add update the results if there are more lists posted...

Time to rank the 4th generation!

1 Kurata Ruka
- Has a lot of potential as a second Kaede, even though I think she's a bit brighter. Her best line so far has to be when she commented on Koopa being an enemy on #628. Also, give her a few more months of practice and she'll take Idoling!!!'s choreography to another level.

2 Itou Yuuna
- I've been strangely attracted to that weird aura of her's even from the audition pictures. Hopefully we'll get to see some more ventriloquism from her, though it's too bad there's already been a Mania-Idol about it.

3 Ojima Chika
- First of all, damn she's loud. :P I'm not sure what to think if her right now, but the rivalry with Ookawa is working out great for her.

4 Nomoto Manami
- She has a real Tonooka vibe going around her with her talking without a real punchline thing. She also seems to have personal concerns regarding her weight which could be a problem if it gets put to use on the show too much.

5 Gotou Kaoru
- Out of all five so far I'd say she has the weakest personality from what we've seen so far, so there's not much to do except wait.

Since I haven't done the vote earlier. I'll just select a fave from each gen to make a top 3 (otherwise I could go crazy balancing 3 1st gens).
1. Saya-nee (Endo I love. But Saya-nee = Idoling!!! for me)
2. Asahi Nao (She's cute, cool, funny, fashionable, and a guy?! that's the whole package right there!)
3. Ookawa Ai (she's crazy. mmm... yup)

back to 4th gen. I meant it when I said I liked the 2 crybabies. :)
1. Itou Yuuna (i like the weird aura too!)
2. Nomoto Manami (she does have a summer feel like Toonoka too... And a really nice smile)
3. Ojima Chika (she took on Ookawa in the ring TWICE in #625, and lived. Making her crazy x2. yup)
4. Gotou Kaoru (because Ruka just looks too young. And I think Kaoru is actually rather pretty in her own way)
5. Kurata Ruka (she's mostly been off my radar. which may be because I don't understand japanese, so I miss out on most of what they say)

My 4th gen ranking:

1. Itou Yuuna : I like the way she speaks, and her tsukkomi are real fast and sharp that its really fun. Plus she reminds me of Rumi with her sharp tongue and Ojamajo Doremi.

2. Ojima Chika : She's absolutely fun and quite weird too. She's always laughing/smiling and she looks good with that

3. Nomoto Manami : Her gorilla impersonation totally reminds me of Mira, could be a gem waiting to be polished. Looking forward to her real character soon

4. Kurata Ruka : Her dance during the 8th live was simply off the hook and something never seen before in any Idoling!!! concert. Her accent is really cute and she make such a cute pair with Kaede.

5. Gotou Kaoru : Still being very careful with the show, need to let go a bit. Only time will tell.

Doing the sorter again after a long time.

1   Kawamura Yui
2   Fonchi
3   Kikuchi Ami
4   Nagano Serina
5      Hashimoto Kaede
6   Ojima Chika
7   Morita Suzuka
8   Eto Maria
9   Kato Sayaka
10   Yazawa Erika
11   Takiguchi Mira
12   Tachibana Yurika
13   Koizumi Rumi
14   Ookawa Ai
15   Asahi Nao
16   Miyake Hitomi
17   Itou Yuuna
18   Michelle Miki
19   Kurata Ruka
20   Sakai Hitomi
21   Endou Mai
22   Tonooka Erika
23   Yokoyama Rurika
24   Nomoto Manami
25   Gotou Kaoru
26   Kobayashi Maia

I've realized that I could start to let go of ex 1st gen slowly, looking at how their ranking is slowly going down. Ojima is really growing on me, and all these hoollapalazoo between her and Ookawa lately has been nothing short from super fun. Amimi is slowly paving her way up my list, and darn yesterday's 1ami9 was great. What a natural MC.

lets do something new this time around, can it be time to rank your favorite Idoling!!! concert and your favorite idoling!!! song?

Concert ranking
1. 5th Live Arata-naru tabidachi-ng!!!
2. 7th Live Jinsei Shuugonari-ng!!!
3. 6th Live Ya! O!! Ng!!!
4. 3rd Live Kimeru nara kono natsusu-ng!!!
5. 4th Live Nanika okoru yoka-ng!!!
6. 8th Live Souda! Are da! Koi nan desyou-ng!!!
7. 2nd Live Daiji na Mono
8. 1st Motto Ganbare Otome

I find that the 5th live have a real great amount of energy overall. The medleys are fun and is not that taxing towards the girls. Plus the extra scenes in the DVD is just touching to watch. I'm not really feeling the 8th live though, a few songs were great (la la la, 3dome etc) but MC wise and the medley weren't up to Idoling!!! usual stuff.

Song Ranking

1. Omoi no Uta
2. Mujouken Koufuku
3. Daiji na mono
4. U
5. Kishuuhen Ecstasy
6. Shousoku Kei Carnival
7. Ganbare Otome (warai)
8. Hyakkaryoran Idoling!!!
9. La la la no song
10.Poolside Daisakusen

Sudden change after watching all uRa Idoling!!! from the beginning and episodes 648, 650, and 653.
1. Rising all 1st generation members after watching uRa Idoling!!!
2. Sudden drop of Ruka-chan after #653. She has a long way to go.
3. Sudden rise of Amimi after watching uRa Idoling!!! and listening to her radio show 1ami9. She is unstoppable.
4. Dropping all 4th gen members except Ojima and Yuuna.
5. No... The drop of Kaoru is NOT because of her shoes XD.
6. And finally Rurika has been replaced by Maipuru, but that makes me afraid of loosing her.

Edited the thread to an all-purpose ranking thread instead.

This changes a lot, but after listening to the new single the current list would look like this:

- Snow Celebration and Omoi no Uta never disappear from the list.
- The new b-sides GO EAST!!! GO WEST!!! and Dokidoki ga Tomaranai are pretty addicting at the moment.
- I no Standard gets a special mention, but the studio version is just messed up.

Only just joined here, so I'm posting my member ranking, using sorter

1   Yazawa   75 (she's crazy, cute, beautiful and lovable at the same time)
2   Saya-nee   72 (only seen about 50 eps, but way up there!)
3   Sakacchi   69 (mature, beautiful, cute, I like her accent)
4   Maipuru   66 (just outright cool, and does cool things, like playing bass and special kind of humor)
5   Zumi   63 (the princess, too bad she totally disappeared)
6   Umeko   60 (cute but a weird personality in a positive sense)
7   Ton-chan   57 (very mature and beautiful)
8   Ruri   54
9   Fonchi   51 (i like her airheadedness)
10   Serina   48 (otaku, but has potential when she gets older)
11   Gotou   45 (still very shy but cute, has potential)
12   Amimi   42 (very strong, but sometimes too loud, and I don't always like her eyes)
13   Okawa   39
14   Ruka   36
15   Suu-chan   33
16   Hii-chan   30
17   Ojima   27
18   Asahi     24
19   Mira   21
20   Kaede   18
21   Yurika   15
22   Itou Yuuna   12
23   Nomoto Manami   9
24   Kobayashi   6 (although I haven't seen anything, I just went for looks)
25   Eto   3
26   Michelle   0 (she's got this kind of air about her that I don't like)

I started watching Idoling from ep 580 or so, and only recently started catching up by watching season 1 and 3 and more 500 eps.
I mostly like the older (in terms of age) members with exception of Serina and Gotou, but this top list is quite accurate :)
I haven't watched anything of Kobayashi yet (should do that).

- Gambare Otome
- NAGARA
- Mujouken Koufuku
- Kishuhen Ecstacy
- Meniwaaoba Yamahototogisu Hatsukoi

Great idea! I'm going to try to restrict my song list to just 10 (Pretty hard to do I have to say!):

1. Lemon Drop (My favourite song, Idoling!!! and beyong, at the moment. It's fun to see the girls messing around in the PV and it was just beyond cool to see a live band performance of this song by the girls themselves!)
2. I no Standard (live version of course. Still love the one-solo-line-per-girl gimmick)
3. Omoi no Uta (its live version with Koizumi, Endou and Etou singing and Kikuchi playing piano will always be the one that stick with me with regards to this song. That was one of the first Idoling!!! song I listene to also so extra special place in my heart!)
4. Shokugyou: Idol (Love the chorus. Really makes me want to jump along as well)
5. Kimi ga Suki
6. Kokuhaku
7. Sayonara Mata ne Daisuki
8. Hyakkaryouran Idoling!!! (used to be my favourite song. Still like it but it has fallen down th pecking order a little)
9. Bokura no Niwa (I love a good ballad and this one really gives me chill listening. The harmony is so great!!
10. Kishuhen Ecstasy (I just love this in the 6th live concert. Lots of energy, lots of fun)

Some comments:
- Really fun to read these comments on the song. Will be interesting to see what songs are the most beloved in this forum:)
- So far, Mujouken Koufuku and Kishuhen Ecstasy are the most mentioned (at 4 out of 5 users so far), followed by Sandome no Kinenbi, Poolside Daisakusen, Love Magic Fever and Omoi no Uta, all at 3. (I'm only including the songs on the list an excluding any 'special mention' ones). Energetic songs seem to dominate the top for now. Would really like to see if this holds after a few more posts...
- Still to listen to the two B-sides of Poolside Daisakusen. Good to see them making the list already and really looking forward to hearing them when my single arrives!

Also, another question I have recently been wondering. If you want to show someone a clip of an Idoling!!! perfomance or play them the music, which one would you go for? Which clip(s) really capture the essence of what Idoling!!! is all about? For me, it woul be, in this order:
1. Shokugyou Idol PV - Very energetic and I think it captures Idoling!!! very well. Besides, the lyrics are so funny (wish there is a subtitled version of this!)
2. Omoi no Uta 3rd live (same one I mentioned above) - show people they can sing. Besides, it's just a beautiful song:)
3. La La La La no Song 8th live - show the range of song the group is capable of pulling off

6. And finally Rurika has been replaced by Maipuru, but that makes me afraid of loosing her.
My feeling exactly. Hope the day does not come any time soon!

I'm thinking the same.
1. Shokugyou: Idol. PV
2. Omoi no Uta 3rd live
3. La La La La no Song 8th live

plus:
4. Lemon Drop 6th live, the one with all members singing.
5. San dome no Kinenbi 8th live.

I would have to agree to your list but with the addition of
1. Daiba koi no monogatari - if its not for the crazy choreography (if it even qualify to be called as one) then it'll be for Masuno's voice and the girls personality in the lyric.
2. Daiji na mono - song written by the girls themselves, I think this pretty much really shows the freedom that the girls have in Idoling!!!
3. any Idoling encores (special mention for the 5th, 6th live and Ooiso Beach SP) - for all the whacked out "screw the choreography and just have fun" songs. I think that for most H!P and AKB fans who are used to perfect and precision choreography this will be something really new. I had a shock of my life when I started with Idoling when I was watching this.

I forgot to mention my list wasn't in a particular order. There's no way I can rank 10 Idoling!!! songs.

As for recommendations:

1. Shokugyou: Idol PV  - It's like an introduction to the group in 5 minutes.
2. Omoi no Uta @ 3rd live - I still remember seeing this live and how it gave me a chill down my spine when I realized Amimi was playing the piano. Oh, and it's one of few songs that are subbed (http://acchimuitepie.blogspot.com/2009/01/of-idoling-2-3-4-16-omoi-no-uta.html). :P
3. Ganbare Otome (Warai) Encore @ 5th live - This is how Idoling!!! see off their graduate members, by going out with a blast.

2. Yokoyama Rurika , desy ratnasari maybe

PV
1.tenohira yuuki
i think this is one of the best PV from this group...i like this PV so much coz the stop motion that they used is quietly nice and rare use to idol PV at present...
the every single scene on the video visualize a happiness.
and the expression every member face at the camera's zoom is clearly...

2.Beta na Shitsuren ~Shibuya ni Furu Yuki~
the using of highspeed camera is a point of this PV...altough the speed not fast as we expect, but this movement camera very suitable in this tempo...
silouthee in this video is the exiting one...
and tone of this video is very showed expression of this song...

MOST FAV.SONG

how much time i played this song, i never feel bored
2. 3 Dome No Kinenbi
techique vocal in this song is easy easy harder for this group
3. Tokimeki Dreaming
i like when the guitar is taking part. is surely amazing
4.Meniwaaoba Yamahototogisu Hatsukoi
du du du du du du du du du du at the opening is the best part of this song....and other is simply ordinary and very bored..just du du du du du du..hahaha...
5. Poolside Daisakusen
it's makes me wondering thats i live in heaven with the angel surrounds mw...(wow...WTF!)

Doki Doki ga Tomaranai
wow......thanks for RUTTU's bass player for make this song...
at least this song has to be the first song in this single..not poolside bla bla bla...

CONCERT

the best part of this concert is when the kaede and sherina sing together...

I managed to catch up with a lot of Idoling!!! stuff this weekend, so time for some rankings, minus the graduates this time. :sweatdrop:

1. Endou Mai - This hasn't changed at all since I became a fan, and Maipuru just keeps getting more awesome as time goes.
2. Asahi Nao - There was a period where I couldn't decide on whether I like Asahi or Suu-chan more, but Asahi has proven herself countless times this last year.
3. Morita Suzuka - Man, it's so great to have her back in the group regularly!
4. Hashimoto Kaede - I'm starting to think that she's probably not as airheaded as people might think. I'm hoping for some model rivarly between her and Asahi.
5. Kikuchi Ami - She's been brilliant as usual lately, not to mention she suddenly got cuter when she cut her hair.
6. Ookawa Ai - I'm actually liking her new crybaby character.
7. Yazawa Erika - She's slowly becoming more like a comedian... which I personally don't have anything against.
8. Itou Yuuna - There's just something about her weird aura that I like.
9. Kawamura Yui - Without realizing it she's actually climbed my ranking quite a lot. The new hair is also pretty nice.
10. Sakai Hitomi - I'm liking the subtle character development she has going on now that she's able to drink alcohol. :P
11. Tachibana Yurika - Skyrocketed now that she's out of her shell.
12. Kurata Ruka - I can't help but see the resemblances she has with Osaka from Azumanga Daioh, which is awesome.
13. Fonchi - Hasn't left that much of an impression lately, except for her DVD maybe...
14. Miyake Hitomi - A lot more fun backstage.
15. Gotou Kaoru - Still has a lot to show overall, but her blog posts and imatsubu have been fun to read.
16. Yokoyama Rurika - Hasn't been on the show that much, but on stage is where she really shines.
17. Tonooka Erica - Same as Rurika. Also, I personally prefer the black hair.
18. Nomoto Manami - Pretty weird, in a good way of course.
19. Ojima Chika - I get the impression that she's more fun behind the scenes.
20. Nagano Serina - I still don't know what personality she's really going with.

That was the 2nd try. The 1st one Maipuru was on the top, but Amimi and Fonchi have taken out Rurika's position.
1. Maipuru
2. Amimi
2. Fonchi
4. Rurika
Was like that. Amimi and Fonchi was on the same position. Then my firefox crashed, so I have to do it again.

=============

I'm surprised Kaoru is in the top 10 (even top 5) by average, and she is the only 4th generation member in there.

These are the new sets of rankings that I have been meaning to do for a while

Favourite PVs:
1). Shokugyou Idol! - It's just a blast seeing the girls acting out lots of situations. I really like the pink costumes at the end too
2). Me ni wa Aoba Yamahototogisu Hatsukoi - What a fun PV, with the split screen and all. It has  great rewatchability value as well. Took me a few watches to realize whenever a members appear in the centre screen, they do not also appear around the edge, which I thought was pretty neat.
3). Gambare Otome [Warai] - Old classic. What's not to love. Does anyone happen to have the clip of the girls playing on the beach at the end?
4). Snow Celebration - Nice wintery costumes. Funny how they managed to incorporate curling into the PV!
5). Nice and relaxing PV to a great song
Hononary mention: Lemon Drop - I first watched this when I had no idea who is who. It really grew on me though and I just love seeing the girls fooling around when i got to know them better:)

Songs I really wish they have made a PV for:
1). I no Standard - I would so love to see how the girls would act out their 'standards'!
2). La La La La no Song - Just for the sheer insanity they would have to make the PV to fit the song
3). Hyakkaryouran Idoling!!! It would make such an energetic PV, with all the original girls in there
4). Kimi ga Suki - Just because I love the song so much
5). Daijina Mono / Sayonara Matane Daisuki - PVs for these two songs would bring tears to my eyes:)

Songs with the most playcounts on my ipod:
1). Te no Hira no Yuuki
2). Soushokukei Carnival
3). Love Magic Fever
4). Sandome no Kinenbi
5). La La La no Song
It must have been my random playing features because none of my favourites are in this top five!

Least favourite songs (extension of the question Blade Hunter asked in profile thread, in no particular order):
1). Rainy Girl
2). Sunadokei
3). SUNRISE
4). Prologue / Petit-Petit
5). baby blue
Hmm. Lots of new songs in Sunrise album. I have not reall been that impressed with the new songs in the last two albums (Sayonara Matane Daisuki excepted). Thank god then that their B-sides were so good and I did not really listen to them prior to buying the albums

Well, Tonooka and Yokoyama are always in the same position but Tonooka's character wins by one point. It's just Tonooka's real character never shown except she is bullied by Masuno which is rare. Examples: #606, #613, #654, #672.

(I'm not sure if non-Admin members are allowed to start Topics. If not, please delete this and take this as a suggestion for a new Topic.)

Who are Idoling!!!'s Vocal Elite?

We've all seen the girls live, and let's be honest, some of those performances made us praise the studio pitch-corrector. Though many of the girls have improved vastly since their debut, some still need work and others are still new to the game.

In this thread, please post your ranking of the Idoling!!! members' vocal skills from Best to Worst. Please include graduated members and feel free to provide any comments on each member as you rank them.

I don't really understand about technical so pardon with my comments. And since I rarely watching shinahachi and live of 1st/2nd gen era, I can't include 4th gen and graduates this time. Waiting for 9th live to appear and see how far 4th gen have improved.

This rank mostly based on 8th live, TIF2010, 4th anniversary SP.

1. Yokoyama Rurika
2. Endo Mai
Maipuru has medium voice and technically great. Her voice can go anywhere she wants. Ruri has strong high voice which makes me shivering everytime I listen to her solo parts. Both are good singer, but Ruri has more impact for me.
3. Kawamura Yui
4. Fonchi
5. Tonooka Erica
Umeko singing skill can be compared Maipuru and Ruri. Fonchi has high voice, but technically limited. Ton-chan is not really good at lower key.
6. Okawa Ai
7. Asahi Nao
The two were doing great on eve (4th anniversary SP), but Okawa can reach higher key.
8. Nagano Serina
9. Kikuchi Ami
Ami actually good (listen to her cover of KARA's Mr.), it's just her voice is... you know... ガラガラ XD
10. Sakai Hitomi
11. Tachibana Yurika
12. Hashimoto Kaede
They are good. Just their voice are not my type. :P
13. Yazawa Erika
14. Miyake Hitomi
Lack of control. Probably they can't focus on singing while dancing.
15. Morita Suzuka
I don't know, I just feel something wrong with her voice. Probably just me, I feels like she is randomly singing off-key.

For graduates, all I know is Rumi and Michelle are the best of the respective generation.
For 4th gen, Kaoru were good singing NAGARA at Gasshuukoku. Probably the best of 4th generation.

And btw female singer I considered to have a perfect voice is Sakamoto Maaya

Post by: paperbed on January 10, 2011, 07:14:22 PM
I tried to avoid picking on the timbre of their voice and went strictly with control, projection and other techniques. A lot of these are the similar, but with 25 girls (I've never heard Kobayashi sing) you're bound to see that sort of thing.

01. Koizumi Rumi - Good projection, range is broad, occasionally misses notes, experiments with vocal styles more than others. Has some trouble singing while dancing too energetically. Sings well through crying!
02. Kawamura Yui - Good projection, has never missed a note, range is broad, very consistent. Sings with tons of confidence.
03. Tonooka Erika - Solid, always hits notes, projects well. Has a little of the "Tsunku throat" that separates her syllables, but that's subjective. Low registers and softer songs are a bit shaky. Sings with confidence.
04. Yokoyama Rurika - Another solid vocalist, occasionally misses notes, but projects very well. Her style is a tad limited. Sings with confidence.
05. Fonchi - Right from the beginning she was able to hold her own as a vocalist. Projects well, anunciates clearly. Her voice cuts through mixes.
06. Endo Mai - Very good in the studio, but tends to sing very softly live; doesn't project well. Falsettos are a bit weak and occur at times when it'd probably be more appropriate to flatout sing the line. Vibrato is a bit too sudden. She has the potential to be #1.
07. Michelle Miki - Good projection, but occasionally has trouble with control. Sings with confidence.
08. Sakai Hitomi - Decent projection, a bit hesitant, but hits notes quite well.
09. Tachibana Yurika - Decent projection, but control needs some work. A lot of hesitance.
10. Asahi Nao - Hits notes very well, but has the worst projection of any of the members. It always sounds like she's singing in a half whisper and is very hard to hear live.
11. Gotou Kaoru - Too new to judge fairly, but from what I've heard so far she has her own vocal style, projects well and stays on key quite well.
12. Kaede Hashimoto - Hits notes well enough, but sings with a very blasé tone. Almost as if she's singing the way she speaks. A little more confidence and projection and she'll be excellent.
13. Kikuchi Ami - Consistent when providing backups, but her solos are a bit pitchy. Needs more control.
14. Miyake Hitomi - Very clear, loud voice, but lack of control. Notes go all over the place sometimes. Able to pull of various vocal styles.
15. Katou Sayaka - Hesitant, lacks a lot of confidence. When she does cut loose, the result is very good.
16. Kurata Ruka - Too new to judge fairly, but it seems like her main issue is hitting notes.
17. Ohkawa Ai - I suppose "Love Machine" wouldn't be a fair assessment since she's improved, but she still lacks control. Able to pull of various vocal styles.
18. Morita Suzuka - Another person who sings very softly. Improved greatly, but needs more projection.
19. Ojima Chika - "Moteki wa MIRAKURU yo!" Haha! Too new to judge fairly, but shows promise. Control is the issue here.
20. Takiguchi Mira - When singing loud, her projection was awesome with decent control. However, when she went quiet she lost a lot of that control and her notes went all over the place.
21. Eto Maria - Same issue as Asahi, very whispery and hard to hear. Also had trouble hitting notes.
22. Nomoto Manami - Too new to judge fairly, but there is a clear lack of confidence and control.
23. Itou Yuuna - Same as Nomoto. I noticed on the studio version of "I no Standard" it sounds like they did a pitch-correction on her solo.
24. Yazawa Erika - Yazawa used to be a decent vocalist but has slipped in the recent years. She needs to sing with more confidence to regain her former level. When she practically whispered Koizumi's part in "Like a Shooting Star" I was very disappointed; I KNOW she can sing better.
25. Nagano Serina - Sings very clearly and with confidence, but I think I've only heard her sing on key once.

not that good with the specifics, but these are about right for my ears in top 10 XD

1. Koizumi Rumi
2. Endou Mai
3. Kawamura Yui
4. Tonooka Erika
5. Sakai Hitomi
6. Tachibana Yurika
7. Morita Suzuka
8. Hashimoto Kaede
9. Asahi Nao
10. Katou Sayaka

I'm still amazed at how much Rurika has improved, I still remember cringing at her singing SPEED song in their 1st live. Asahi has improved reallly well too, now the song Beta No Shitsuren is sounding better and better/.

Gonna rank the current 20 members from my experiences with the 9th live, CDL and various Shinahachi.

1 Yokoyama Rurika - Hearing her sing solo during the Shinatsubu request really shows what an amazing singer she is
2 Endou Mai - Consistent singer. Rarely off key during lives
3 Tonooka Erica - Can hit very deep notes and high ones as well
4 Kawamura Yui - Versatile singer. Can do different style of songs. Would love to hear her sing solo someday
5 Fonchi - A nice singing tone. Not seen her too much live
6 Tachibana Yurika - I was suprised when I heard her sing Shinatsubu request together with Maipuru. She sounded very good "live"
7 Asahi Nao - Really love it when she sings ballads but on high tempo songs it's hard to hear what she's singing
8 Ookawa Ai - Her singing voice is loud and clear
9 Sakai Hitomi - Covers Maipuru's lines well but not on the same level
10 Hashimoto Kaede - Have the potential to be a better singer, just needs to be more consistent
11 Morita Suzuka - I don't know why but I like her singing style
12 Itou Yuuna - The only 4th gen who can sing well
13 Yazawa Erika - It's a shame Yazawa is the only 1st gen who can't sing
14 Ojima Chika - Can't comment really, haven't paid enough attention to her live. I don't think she have any solo lines either except for the I no Standard
15 Kurata Ruka - Singing lacks control, but she makes it up with her dancing
16 Gotou Kaoru - Voice is too deep. Need a song that is suited to her style. I'm looking forward to チーム学ラン
17 Nagano Serina - I liked the studio version of Caramel latte but the live version is not as good
18 Kikuchi Ami - Her voice is too deep to be singing upbeat songs and control is too bad to be singing ballads
19 Miyake Hitomi - I love Hii-chan but her pitching and notes are all over the place
20 Nomoto Manami - She sings using 裏声 which makes my ear cringe

For my vocal elite ranking, it'll be 50% skill and 50% style/preference, so it may not necessarily reflect reality that is based purely on singing skill.

1. Endou Mai - Technically her vocal is like 85 out of 100, but her intangible quality is 120 out of 100. Her singing voice is so naturally soothing and smooth that asking for anything more is insanity, she can execute ballads like as naturally as sun is the center of the solar system, however her singing style does not suit uptempo songs as well but that's a microscopic nitpicking. I'd put her in top 3 vocalists as far as female idol world is concerned.

2. Koizumi Rumi - I've had countless sleepless nights trying to sort out who is #2, and even though my encounter with Rumi is quite limited, her vocal impact leaves quite a big impression nonetheless, and while Yokoyama and Tonooka may have longer tenures as aces, I still would pick Rumi over them in terms of singing prowess. Rumi just has "it" power, when she sings on stage, it's electric, she may even top Endou in that respect, Endou still is the overall best singer, but Rumi makes up for it with powerful singing and presence. Rumi is a complete package not just as a singer, but also as an idol.

3. Yokoyama Rurika - There's really no shame in being #3 as far as Rurika is concerned, she has great range and skill to be the top vocalist in any other idol groups currently existing with ease. And since Rumi is no longer a member, technically Rurika is #2 right now. However, I'd say that the gap between Endou and Rurika is such that it would be more fitting to say Rurika is #3. Rurika is just as stable as Endou vocally and even may have better high-pitch range than Endou, but what I really don't like about Rurika's singing is that she over-sings quite a bit. Maybe the excitement of the moment gets to her too much, but she over-sings the notes by being too crafty with the lyrics in a way that it sounds odd at times. While I like Rurika's vocal tone, it's not exactly the sweet spot for my taste, so her #3 ranking is more of a reflection on my personal preference more than anything, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if she is #1 in many other people's ranking.

4. Tonooka Erika - I really like her singing voice, it has the similar soothing feel that Endou has, but her biggest flaw is that she has no power in her vocal, and that's why she ranks below Yokoyama even though I prefer Tonooka's vocal tone much better. I'm a bit concerned that Tonooka has not improved much over time though, in fact I would say her singing has degraded recently, I wonder if she's having some kind of personal issues? Anyhow hopefully she gets rid of her inner demons and get back into form soon.

5. Tachibana Yurika - She's the undisputed ace vocal of the 3rd generation hands down, she has progressed so much so that she subs in for the center position at Shinahachi live rather frequently, and executes with great effort. I'd say her vocal range is very good, and she still has quite a bit to go before her vocal talent is fully realized. She has shown great interest in singing and also wants to learn to play guitar so her potential at this point is mostly untapped, and her vocal possibilities seem very promising. She is not as polished yet compared to 1st gen. aces, but when all is said and done, she may overtake Tonooka and rise up as the new ace because I think Yurika has more raw talent as a singer.

6. Asahi Nao - She suffers from the same thing that Tonooka does, which is lack of vocal power, plus Asahi is not as good a singer that Tonooka is, but she is just adorable on stage and her idol power makes up for it to be ranked at #6. She has improved over time as well in her singing although it's very small, but hopefully she can continue to improve and become a decent singer instead of being labeled as an idol who can't sing at all.

7. Kawamura Yui - If I go only by pure singing skill Umeko would rank in top 3 easily, but I really really do not see her as an "idol" due to her everything else aspects. I think Umeko still has untapped range that she hasn't revealed yet in an Idoling song, technically speaking she may be as good as Endou.

8. Fonchi - She is a very good singer in basis, but quite inconsistent in execution, on her good days she's as good as Tonooka, but on her bad days she's off-pitch and all over the place. She just doesn't have the technical skills to go up against the likes of Umeko. Fonchi may be a better singer than Asahi, but I consider Asahi far superior as an idol so Fonchi is ranked below.

9. Ookawa Ai - To be honest, I don't really know how good her singing is as I have rarely seen her sing solo, but at this point she seems like a decent singer who can hold down a note or two so I hope she keeps getting vocal lessons and improve gradually, especially considering that she is being pushed hard by the producer to become the next center ace.

10. Ito Yuna - I don't necessarily think she's a better singer than Gotou Kaoru, but I prefer her singing voice much better than Gotou, and she's quite raw so should have a great amount of room for improvement down the road, and quite excited about the possibilities then as a finished product.

I think I'll cut off the rankings here, because the rest are like too similar to make a clear separation in rankings really, plus there's not much nice things left to say beyond this point.

I know that things have been going great lately with how Idoling!!! is getting the better spotlight and all, but lets list down our top 3 most dissapointing things about Idoling!!! last year

#3 : Shinahachi live broadcast
- I've personally no real problem with shinahachi lives since it gives chance for the people who are in Japan to meet them every now and then but the fact that it is taking up the normal Idoling!!! broadcast is tiring. Prior to shinahachi we only get special lives with only songs like once a month like that but now it just fills up the schedule and with only 5 episodes for 2 weeks, taking up a few episode is sick

#2 : Idoling!!! Kiss mark which was sold at the 9th live
- This is purely copying AKB48..... I had no idea about this at all, since I was pretty much cut off from the internet during this time and when I was at the concert hall and I saw this I swear I really feel bad. Before this, I did complaint about Shinahachi being a copy of AKB48's theater and now this kissmarks which conveniently appear after the AKB 1/48 thing. Haven't felt this upset for a very long time.

#1 : still no Onegai fan sama.
I don't think this requires explanation.

---
honorable mention would be

#4 - FujiTV On demand is still Japan exclusive..

4. Tonooka Erika -

I would say her singing has degraded recently, I wonder if she's having some kind of personal issues? Anyhow hopefully she gets rid of her inner demons and get back into form soon.

The broken rib may have something to do with this?

25   伊藤祐奈   3
26   野元愛   0

It's been a while since I did this one, so there's been some shifting around. I had a few where I couldn't decide. Because the previous one I did in august last year also included graduated members, I've done that one as well. But I'm already seeing differences between both lists  In one list Serina is at no.4 and in the other at no.11. Other than that, the two lists are pretty consistent.
Now as for that comparison with the old list from august last year:
- Places 2 to 5 seem have shifted around a bit, with now Zumi above Sayanee, and Sakacchi now at no.2 (Places 3 to 5 will likely keep shifting around, difficult to decide)
- Most important climbers: Ruka from no. 14 to no. 6, and Amimi from 12 to 7, and Kaorun from 11 to 8, Okawa from 13 to 9.
- Most important droppers: Umeko from No. 6 to No. 13, Ton-chan from 7 to 14, Rurika from 8 to 12.
- The bottom 6 are all equal actually.

I feel the need to update the rankings so here it is, but this time I have left out the former members because I really don't see the point of it.

1. 遠藤舞 - I did like her before but now I truly appreciate her presence and what she brings to the group, she also pretty much has it all.
2. 外岡えりか - She has significantly raised her value as a member with her role in the hit drama series, and has distanced herself way past Rurika as the true ace at this point.
3. 大川藍 - Aichan made a huge leap in my rankings, I don't know why I ranked her so low before, but she has been one of the most visible members who has contributed quite a bit this past year and I guess I have come to appreciate her.
4. 橋本楓 - I would rank her higher but she's still so young that I want to leave room for her to prove herself more. But at this point, she has already put herself as one of the vital members especially in terms of variety aspect, her talk & humor sense is truly genius, all she has to do is keep it going.
5. 朝日奈央 - I consider Asahi to be a very crucial member who is a mood-maker, and someone who can bridge the gap between the older members and the younger members with her all-around socializing nature. She's also one of a kind contributor on the show, I can't imagine Idoling without her.
6. 菊地亜美 - I really like how she is always willing to speak out and one of the very few to get into Masuno's face, but I'm also a bit getting tired of her act as well, but since very few members are as talkative as she is, that quality can't be overlooked.
7. 三宅ひとみ - I think she's putting in an effort to overhaul her character as well as her attitude toward the show especially, and she has been more visible as a result, if she keeps going at it she should keep improving herself quite a bit.
8. 森田涼花 - I like her variety element where she can be very funny, but I'm afraid that she has hit the ceiling already as an idol.
9. 横山ルリカ - She definitely has a big role as a performer in concerts, but apart from that, she doesn't really seem very engaging to me, she just seems content with her current position within the group, I don't see any improvement from her this past year.
10. 橘ゆりか - I thought this year would be a big year for Yurippe, but she has been under-whelming to say the least, I thought she would stand out more with her talk element, but it really hasn't been the case, maybe she isn't really as funny as I had thought. Her singing is still just ok.
11. 谷澤恵里香 - I do think she has a very good sense of humor, but it rarely materializes in a way to be useful in a presentable format. I think she's too talented for her own good, she just doesn't know how to execute her talent. Being a goofball menace just isn't enough.
12. 伊藤祐奈 - I think Yuna is the only one within the 4th gen. that has any sort of chance for her to make something out of herself, she does have the looks, and she seems to have a good attitude, but I still don't find her that interesting or entertaining.
13. 酒井瞳 - I don't see any upside from her, she's already old, her countryside girl character is more than getting tiresome, and her new aggressive-nature toward the members doesn't seem appealing to me, she's giving off way too much negative vibe toward the group that it's hurting group's image.
14. フォンチー - I just don't see her worth as a member, she hardly engages herself in the show, only speaks when talked upon, and her looks have deteriorated quite a bit. She doesn't seem to be close with any other members either.
15. 尾島知佳 - Other than getting a few laughs in some of the athletic games in the show, I just don't find her to be an asset to the group, her lack of manners is a big turn-off as well, I just don't feel that her character make-up is suitable to be an idol, she can't dance or sing either so.
16. 野元愛 - This girl has weight issues she seems to struggle with, but more than that, she's just not much of a talent as an idol, I think it takes some intelligence for an idol to grow and improve but I don't feel that she has that intelligence nor the will to improve.
17. 長野せりな - I don't know what happened to her, but she just seems to have no confident with herself, and very timid. She's yet to be a burden to the group at this point, but she's not doing anything for the group either. But if she remains the way she is, they might as well let her go.
18. 河村唯 - I just don't see her as an idol, but it's not just her looks that turn me off, her character is also too weird, and the way she engages in the show just feels cheap and pretentious. I've also realized that her singing isn't that great either. I just don't think she's a top idol material in any way.
19. 倉田瑠夏 - I think picking her in the audition was a huge mistake. Yeah she can dance, but Idoling is not a dance-featuring group. Her downside is just too immense to overtake her one single talent of dancing ability. And just like Nomoto, she's not very bright, I had hoped that it was just an act, but it apparently isn't. It is really disconcerting that the younger the members are the dumber they are, and not many have the intelligence that most 1st gen. members have, and that doesn't bode well for the future of the group.
20. 後藤郁 - Obviously her ranking doesn't reflect the overall aspect, but due to her situation of being absent.

Well, since there's been a huge change in my roster I decided to do a sorter again. It seems a little weird having Kaede as #1 after being a Maipuru fan for 3 years. The first 6 members are pretty much reflecting my taste as of lately, while the lower half is constantly changing.

Wow, I have not done one of these rankings in about a ear and a half! Things have certainly changed a bit!
1. Hashimoto Kaede
2. Endou Mai
3. Tonooka Erika
4. Ookawa Ai
5. Itou Yuuna
6. Sakai Hitomi
7. Yokoyama Rurika
8. Miyake Hitomi
9. Gotou Kaoru
10. Kikuchi Ami
11. Morita Suzuka
12. Yazawa Erika
13. Asaki Nao
14. Tachibana Yurika
15. Fonchi
16. Kawamura Yui
17. Kurata Ruka
18. Nomoto Manami
19. Ojima Serina
20. Nagano Serina

Biggest winner: Hashimoto Kaede - She jumps from 14th in my previous ranking to 1st. Talk about an idol growing on you:)
Biggest loser: Asahi Nao - I used to have her as my favourite second gen member. Now she actually ranks 5th in that category

Other comments:
- Endou and Tonooka still remains strong at the top. I shiver at the thought of them leaving Idoling!!!
- As much as I don't want to see Yazawa and Fonchi go, they are my bottom two first gen members so I guess if anyone have to leave, I'm semi-glad it's them...
- I still am indifferent to Ojima, Nagano, Kurata and Nomoto. They are the same ones in the bottom of my old rankings, but just in different order. I love Kurata's dancing and Nomoto's dodgeball prowess but over and above those skills, they really have not done anything else to stand out.

14.   Ruka
15.   Ru-ri
16.   Kaorun
17.   Ton-chan
18.   Manami

I did the sorter again just to see how much has changed.

1.   Kawamura
2.   Amimi
3.   Sakacchi
4.   Ruka
5.   Suu-chan
6.   Tachibana
7.   Ai-chan

14.   Yuuna
15.   Ru-ri
16.   Ton-chan
17.   Ojima
18.   Manami
---

•   Kawamura : Eversince the majide futarikiring she just keeps on getting better and better. Now she absolutely knows how to interact during a show and most importantly she is probably the member with the best chemistry with Masuno now.
•   Amimi : Just like Kawamura, she is powering herself up very well. Right now, I don't think it is too much to say that she is carrying the group name all over the TV channel now
•   Sakacchi : Sakacchi has growned more composed now. She knows exactly how much to talk and how much to push her accent. Plus she does her job pretty well, during any segment with her as an MC you can clearly see she has done her homework really well
•   Ruka : Before this, Ruka hardly leaves any impression on me besides her dancing. But now, obviously the girl is a natural. Kaede is smart, Ruka is natural. She has great tsukkomi and expression too. I really enjoy her on the screen lately.
•   Suu-chan : Suu-chan has changed somewhat. I guess getting told that she's not smart all the time has taken its toll. However, even with her more quiet composure she still manages to handle MCs well. It does go along very well with the Kyoto-ben too. She went up in ranking simply because she appears on the show more often now
•   Kaede : I haven't been following Kaede a lot lately. She doesn't stand out in the show lately too. The girl knows how to be mean sometimes now though XD
•   Serina : Serina is looking really fine now, but that's about it. Everyone has been talking about her being too quiet for ages and she still can't get the problem out.
•   Kaorun : She has really grown on me. During lives or events, her MC is fun and entertaining.
•   Ojima : I feel like Ojima is kind of lost now. Especially with heavy talk segments lately, she just do not know how to engage the situation yet.

1. 遠藤舞
20. 後藤郁 (Ranking reflecting due to leave of absence)

I want to update the rankings for the 18-member roster before the 5th gen. join because by the time I get to know 5th gen. enough to do one I might not even care anymore.

1. 遠藤舞 - Basically Maipuru is the sole reason why Idoilng is even relevant as far as music goes, and her being the leader is keeping the juvenile delinquent that is 4th gen. from turning the group into a zoo thereby ruining it because they clearly do not respect any other members.

2. 大川藍 - Now that she's a JJ model, her stock rises considerably to a point where she's the undisputed future ace now if she wasn't pushed already by the producer into that position. The only downside is her mediocre singing ability, therefore I will never consider her as a true ace in that regard.

3. 橋本楓 - Just like Aichan she is great at everything except for singing ability, otherwise I would even consider Kaepyon to be the ace of the group, even ahead of Aichan because Kaepyon has a far superior sense of humor. While Aichan may have the sex appeal, Kaepyon is the ideal image of an idol in my book. As long as Kaepyon is a part of Idoling, Idoling will be a group worthy of paying attention to.

4. 菊地亜美 - Her contribution as a solo act is undeniably significant for the group's benefit, it's rather surprising that out of all the members Kikuchi was the one who was able to break into the mainstream limelight. Her presence within the group has now become extra-pivotal, I think she has put herself in a position of even bargaining her way around Idoling, possibly vying for the future-leader role.

5. 橘ゆりか - Yurikaru is the only member besides the 1st gen. that could carry a decent tune, when I heard her singing "Bakkyu-n", I have come to realize that she's the future main vocal of Idoling. When she gets out of some odd identity crisis of imitating the looks of a fashion model and finds herself again, she'll shine the brightest as she does have everything to be great.

6. 三宅ひとみ - It's as if a switch has been turned on and she suddenly has transformed herself into a brand new Hiichan, she has a renewed energy and vibe about her since the new year, she may not have the best assets and talent, but she makes up for it with her god-given rich girl sassy and cool-ness, and now that she has taken up kick-boxing, nobody will get in her way, she's the truth.

7.  横山ルリカ - She does look the part of an ace in every sense of the word, but for some reason she's not being accepted by the mainstream audience, maybe her looks are too exotic for the tiny baby-face loving Japanese society in general, hopefully she can broaden her solo work more and get more exposure.

8. 外岡えりか - Tonchan is in the same boat as Rurika more or less, in fact it's a little more devastating that she has gotten so little exposure even after being a part of one of the biggest TV drama hits last year. Because she does not have the exquisite looks Rurika has, her future prospects seem very limited and grim, I have somewhat come to accept that Tonchan's peak years are with Idoling.

9. 森田涼花 - Morita had such promise, such talent, such appeal, but realizing now that she is not exactly clear up there, I don't see how she'll even cope with mainstream limelight if it does come to fruition to be honest, it's a pity and a shame, but her place in entertainment industry shines the brightest only within the anonymous confines of Idoling only.

10. 朝日奈央 - Asahi is basically the hamster that runs inside the stationary wheel that is Idoling. When her modeling career ends with the dissolving of LB, her identity resides solely with Idoling with no future prospects as a solo in sight. Basically she's in the same boat that Morita is in, a folklore legend within Idoling fan base, but an unknown outside that realm.

11. 伊藤祐奈 -  As invalid as her ways of garnering popularity may be, I begrudgingly still got to give her kudos at least for her efforts, but I still dislike her personality which is not very professional and presentable, hopefully she improves on that as she matures and becomes more aware of her surroundings, and when she does she has enough promise to make something out of herself.

12. 長野せりな - Serina has been in a funk for too long to really fully recover herself at this point, but I applaud her for at least trying and what she may need is just a new opportunity such as 5th gen. members, so that she can explore and expand on her character to find something new.

13. 酒井瞳 - She reminds me of Fonchi in a way, in that she's there as an adult member but she's not really very into it. It seems that the longer she's been a member, the more ordinary she has become, I just have to echo the sentiments of Yazawa that there's something missing with Sakacchi.

14. 河村唯 - In an odd mysterious unexplainable way I appreciate what Umeko brings to Idoling, but also knowing that her quality is something that will never be recognized and accepted in mainstream society such as Japan, her worth as an idol and who she is and what she does as a member is a wasted effort. Unlike Sakai, Umeko may have a future in showbiz but not in the context of an idol, but more in the field of stage acting who does a lot of eccentric and crazy roles.

15. 倉田瑠夏 - Frankly her dance skill is not something a 3-months worth of lessons wouldn't beat, her saving grace truly is being the side-kick of Kaepyon and imitating her craft of the trade like a parasite. However she's still a long ways away from establishing her own identity by herself, but having not much else in her arsenal to turn to, Ruka may have to find a new avenue in her character to be more independent from Kaepyon, and 5th gen. members may be the ticket.

16. 尾島知佳 - Oji has made a fatal mistake of revealing too much of her real personality that is not very flattering. Oji had too much attitude, too rebellious, and her disrespect towards the older members as HERSELF has permanently damaged her image as an idol. I do sense that she has realized her mistakes and trying to reform her image, but I don't think I'll ever like her.

17. 後藤郁 - While her maniacal fans hail her blog entries on par with Ernest Hemingway in its profoundness, the truth is she's a worthless member if her blogging prowess is her strongest asset as an idol. It's like saying her job is a singer, but what she's really great at is writing novels. That doesn't really help Idoling the group and seems like an excuse to make up for her glaringly obvious shortcomings as an idol. It should say a lot that even Oji is ahead of Kaoru in rankings, Oji at least has her moments that has humor in an ironical fashion, but Kaoru literally has nothing memorable to offer.

18. 野元愛 - The weight issue is really just a tip of the iceberg of just now inept and unsuitable Nomoto really is as a member of Idoling. It's so shocking just how dumb she really is, I didn't quite realize it at first but she totally exposed herself as such by how she reacts and deals with being over-weight. She gets ANGRY when jokes are made about her weight, I MEAN WHAT? ANGRY? Who's fault is that? Then she proceeds to announce that she can't help but eat when she wants to. I MEAN WHAT? She can't control herself? She has no business being in showbiz with such an immature and ignorant mindset. I simply do not want someone like Nomoto to represent Idoling in public, I really wouldn't miss her at all if she quits tomorrow.

I feel that it's still a bit too early for me to re-do the rankings since I don't think 5th gen. members are fully explored within the TV show at all, but I have some major re-shuffling with the other members so here it is.

1. Endo Mai - She's the rock of the group, she brings immediate credence within the idol industry with her exquisite talents, not only her peers respect her for it, the younger Idoling members when joining often cite Maipuru as their source of admiration and inspiration as a role-model.

2. Tachibana Yurika - She's the undeniable vocal successor when 1st gen. members graduate, her all-rounder abilities should become much more pivotal as her role within the group expands. Her nature of playing the third-wheel within the group so members like Miyake and Goto can co-exist is a quality that is tailor-made for a leadership role. Being one of the most liked members within the group by the other members and even exhibiting to be a willing caretaker of the younger members are signs that Yurippe is constantly evolving into a bright star. As a fan I truly appreciate a member like Yurippe who behind the scenes is one of the hardest workers in honing her craft so that she can execute it effortlessly when it counts as if it's her second nature.

3. Asahi Nao - I have never seen an idol who is as genuine and un-filtered like her, and her outgoing and charming personality perfectly match with the ideal image of what Idoling would like to be known as. She's the most liked member by other members, and as the undisputed mood-maker of the group as well as her unique comical qualities, her presence within the group is probably the most crucial position. If Maipuru is the taskmaster of the group, Asahi is the field general.

4. Hashimoto Kaede - I get goosebumps when pondering about Kaepyon's prospects as it almost seems like she has no limitations in displaying her potential. While she still has the youthful looks, she's also growing into a very hot lady, the term sky is the limit perfectly describes her. With her talk skill that is light-years ahead of the members around her age, and the innocent youth character with a twist of sharp-tongue, it's really only a matter of time before she's being recognized by the mainstream crowd. Kaepyon is also similar to Yurippe in that she's a complete professional at her craft, but never gives off a hint on the stage, Idoling is very fortunate to have her as a member.

5. Kikuchi Ami - I have always found her to be rather sexy with good looks, but somehow the common opinion by the fan base is that they don't find her attractive, although that opinion now has changed a little bit as she got pushed into the limelight, I guess it's all really a matter of perception for some people. Ironically, I've never found her to be that funny, she's good at giving off one-liners, but that's as far as I can give credit for. She was never one of the most popular members by the fan base either, but considering that she has been successful as a solo act, I must say that the common taste of the fan base is not the same that of the mainstream crowd. I think she deserves more credit as a moderator of the group than the fan base ever gave credit for. While it may be within her good intentions to maker other members talk more in Ami-talk, the execution is simply too raw and disorganized in structure to yield the results that are deemed to be of entertainment quality. Simply engaging the other members in a small-talk is not that entertaining nor memorable. If she wants to play the producer, let her do it only with Baby Raids, and leave Idoling alone because Idoling does not need her totally amateurish producer role-play intervention.

6. Yokoyama Rurika - While her qualities as an ace is unquestionable, she's showing signs that the variety aspect no longer interests her. She wants to be treated as an adult I suppose, but in a group like Idoling, it just leaves something to be desired, especially for someone like Rurika who clearly has what it takes and has shown in the past, but no longer as into it as much. My first impression of her was that she was conceited, and while she has admitted to being big-headed when she was younger, I still think she is a very proud person to a degree, and her standoff-ish nature is probably intimidating to the other members to approach her casually. As she has also admitted that she can be herself more in a smaller group than a big group, it may be for the best that Rurika starts a solo career and stick to it.

7.  Tonooka Erika - As she has now failed to get the attention of the mainstream with the drama hit Marumo, she's almost damaged goods, her expiration date has passed, while she still would be treated respectfully as a senior member withing Idoling, it's clear that she doesn't have what it takes to make it in the mainstream. She also isn't aging very well, she looks overly older now, all it's left at this point for her in Idoling is graduation.

8. Okawa Ai - Modeling thing is ruining her as we speak. She seems more unstable and unsettling ever sing she got the JJ gig, I don't know why she's trying so hard, it's back-firing on her image big time. She's incredibly hot though, and as an idol that's really what counts so the rest is just much ado about nothing. I'd like to see more of her in the mainstream though, but in dramas and not in variety shows, I don't think she has a strong enough character to distinguish herself.

9. Takahashi Kurumi - While she may not be the ideal mold for Idoling's concept, she's as good as it comes as a mold of an ideal idol, very feminine, adorable, cute, good-natured, modest, warm, soft-spoken, gentle, likable, and surprisingly playful, but most importantly she has guts. I get a sense that she'll eventually become a very important member and someone I would find very proud to have in Idoling down the road. I see a lot of Kaepyon in Kurumin, but where they differ is that Kaepyon's character is very sophisticated while Kurumin is yet to establish one.

10. Kawamura Yui - She's not sexy and she looks over 30 years old, and she sometimes act like a crazy person who has schizo, but I think she's the most misunderstood member even by the fan base. She can sing, she can dance, she has a sense of humor, she gets along with anybody, she's like by the staff, she's a hard worker, and she really cares about her job. It's simply impossible to not like Umeko as a fan. She's the ultimate underdog reaching for the stars story.

11. Ishida Karen - Although my first impression of her was not very encouraging, I have found out that the more I see her, the more I like her. She's rather very grounded than I had imagined, and very nice personality, a little similar to Kurumin. Her deep singing voice is rather unique as well, and I think I like it. The fact that she seems to have some intellect is comforting as a fan as there are just way too many baka members in Idoling.

12. Ito Yuna - While she has the looks and has good enough ability to have her moments in the show, I just don't think she translates well in the mainstream setting with her quirky personality, but more than anything she still lacks a lot in talking skill. I think she's better off just doing acting. Not that I don't like odd-ball quality of Yuna, it's just that her material is not suitable for anyone who is not her peer group of females. Mainstream audience gets Kikuchi's material by comparison because her material is more adult-oriented and more common-sense based. How Yuna expresses herself will only get through to Ruka and Kaede and completely goes over everybody's else's head due to a totally different frequency in which Yuna functions. There's a common term that describes someone like Yuna in Japan, and that is DENPA. She's clearly a denpa girl. It's not a flattering term so that's basically my point of why I would not choose her as a spokesperson of Idoling.

13. Miyake Hitomi - I probably ranked her lower than I should but the thing is while I see center-stage type of potential in the members above, Miyake simply is not such a type. I still like her for what she brings to the group, which is toughness, and it's not a bad thing to have a strict senior member to have the young members in check.

14. Kurata Ruka - She has clearly found her niche right beside's Kaepyon as her side-kick, and that's about it. Her dancing actually is a minus, I find the dance segments in lives highly unnecessary.

15. Tamagawa Ramu - This ranking more or less reflects exclusively on her looks, I just don't find her very appealing. She may have some grasp on the variety side of things but the sampling is just too small to really comment much on it.

16. Sakai Hitomi - Hmm, well, she's there, and plays the side-kick role, but she's not really doing much.

17. Nagano Serina - Same thing, she's there as an extra, she's almost invisible now.

18. Ojima Chika - I'm pondering whether she is a plus or a minus to the group. I'm just not too sure about her. Still don't trust her.

19. Kiyoku Reia - I find her nagging nature incredibly annoying. I totally do not like her looks either.

20. Goto Kaoru - Awkward at almost everything, I expect very little from her.

21. Nomoto Manami - She's still fat, and now becoming obnoxious in her character. When will she get the message that nobody likes a fat girl with an attitude? I was so glad to see the studio audience totally diss her by no one clapping when they asked to vote for the best original curry-dish presentation.

My ranking is in a constant state of flux. There are a few members who are subject to very little turbulence and can easily carry themselves in the upper layers (Asahi, Tonooka) and there are some who have little chance of bubbling up very far (Nagano, Yokoyama). The ranking of the new members and of those in the middle layer is the most unstable.

The characteristics that carry the most weight in my ranking are looks and personality. Singing or dancing talent is of secondary importance to me.

I have shifted my stance on some members in the past few months especially after how TIF 2012 went about as well as reflecting in context with the latest single. And instead of using a ranking system, I'm going to use a numerical grading system to further illustrate as to which members are not making the necessary grade to be a contributing asset for the group going forward in my mind. I'm going to keep the comment short for the failing members as it's not my intention to bash them in detail, but just pointing out that they are not on par with my standard should suffice as I don't want to upset the moderators again for my unfiltered criticism.
Perfect score = 100 pts
Failing score = Below 60 pts

85 pts Endo Mai - Oh! How could Maipuru not get over 90 pts you ask? Well, as much as I consider Maipuru to be a very important and crucial member, I have to concede that she's past her prime due to her age within the context of idol industry. I'm wondering how the management is going to promote her going forward besides being the leader and a key vocalist. I somewhat foresee that her presence within the group becoming less prominent especially if the management thinks she's nearing the point of graduating. I really hope they do something special with Maipuru for a future single CD as I feel that they are not even close to fully utilizing her vocal talents.

82 pts Tachibana Yurika - As a whole package Yurikaru is in her prime right now and it's best that she is put to good use as much as possible. The downside however is that there's not much room for an upside, unless she proves me wrong by becoming an even better singer, which I don't see happening. Granted, she could still polish up on her character and such, but she already has a very distinctive Kansai character, and if need be she can transform into other characters on the fly so utilizing her versatility should be just as effective.

80 pts Asahi Nao - It was very close between Asahi and Yurika but the difference to me was that Yurika has better looks than Asahi. I feel that Asahi is past her prime a bit, she doesn't look as cute as she did 2 years ago, and at this point in her Idoling career there's very little upside. Maybe there's a leader role for her down the road which may change the dynamics of her presence within the group drastically, but she remains to be one of the core members regardless.

78 pts Ishida Karen - Her stock really shoot up for me lately, she looks absolutely gorgeous these days, hard to believe that she's still only 16, and it's not that she looks older, she just looks fully mature without compromising her youth. Her calm, intellectual demeanor is just a breath of fresh air among a group full of baka members, Idoling finally has a member who is rather normal, for the lack of a better word. I also like her deep singing voice, with some practice she could be a force in the performance department.

76 pts Ito Yuna - In terms of character, she has made a significant stride, before I knew she has become one of the funny members, and her talk is not as incoherent as it used to be, and just like Yurika, she's in her prime days with a possibility of a greater upside than Yurika, it all depends on how smoothly she transitions from a teenager into an adult.

75 pts Okawa Ai - Her prime was last year before getting the JJ gig. She just puts on too much make-up now, behaves way too goofy, and overall seems to be trying too hard. But my god she has an amazing figure for sure.

72 pts Hashimoto Kaede - While her brilliance remains the same, I'm beginning to sense that her youth character is becoming stale. Even though she can keep it going, I'm hoping that she gradually transforms her character into something brand new down the road. Because of her abundance of talent it's hard to pinpoint her prime days, but even if she's had her prime days as a younger member, she'll likely to have another prime days as an older member as well. I've regarded Kaepyon as having the cutest face, but shockingly I've come to prefer Karen's gorgeous face even more.

70 pts Yokoyama Rurika - Like Maipuru, her vocal talent alone gives her a passing grade, and her tall figure also gives her extra points. I'd just wish that she would show more enthusiasm in the CS show that she does in the one with Umeko. Oddly enough, even though she's clearly a very attractive gal, I never seem to get aroused seeing her like I do with Aichan.

70 pts Miyake Hitomi - Although not as distinguished as Yurika, Miyake has become somewhat of a versatile member in my eyes, she's not the best at anything, but she does everything very nicely. Although she's now considered one of the senior members, I feel that her prime days are yet to come, her character is such that it becomes even better with age.

70 pts Takahashi Kurumi - She's just very raw in many ways that I can't really analyze her in specifics, but the potential and ability is clearly there, and just like Karen, I like her persona. Her prime days are coming and hopefully sooner than later because I don't know if Idoling will be around for too long.

68 pts Tonooka Erica - She can sing, that's pretty much it. I hate it that she has become this actress diva who doesn't want to get her hands dirty in the variety department any more. In turn she has become very passive, and non-distinct. I have totally over-valued her before being that she's been there from the beginning, but it's hard to deny that she has become less entertaining as time went by.

66 pts Kurata Ruka - I don't know why but I suddenly find Ruka quite adorable. Although she relies heavily being a tag team with Kaepyon for the most part, Ruka has slowly won me over in having a worthy sharp-tongue. Yes, the weight issue, but I'm not too concerned about it, it just seems more like a growth phase more than anything.

63 pts Tamagawa Ramu - The grade score is more of a reflection on her potential that is yet to be presented, she could very well shoot herself up a lot by proving her worth going forward. One thing that's holding her down is her looks, it just screams that her looks are not going to last as she has one of those looks that favors being youthful rather than looking adult.

60 pts Nagano Serina - Being scored so low as a 2nd gen. member really says it all, but it's also a shame at the same time because Serina could've been salvaged. Initial impression is that Serina lost her direction after losing the youngest member character, but the fundamental problem laid even deeper, in that she doesn't understand the concept of Idoling still in that her cutesy character is simply out of place. She probably should get a failing grade, but the saving grace is that she's not really an annoyance, just irrelevant.

60 pts Ojima Chika - If it was any other member, she'd gotten a much higher score, but knowing what I know and her past incidents, I simply can't entrust my faith on her. But overall, she is improving, so she gets a passing score.

59 pts Kawamura Yui - As much as it pains me to do this, I have to put my personal feelings aside and give her a failing score on the basis of her looks. She's old but she looks even older, and that's not helping the group. When I saw that she got to do a lot of things at TIF 2012, it almost seemed like a last hurrah as if to say "Alright Umeko, this is your last shot to showcase yourself before we cut you loose, have a go at it kid." by the management. At any case, her years of service is greatly appreciated, and it's time to part ways.

59 pts Sakai Hitomi - She just doesn't seem to be involved anymore, she was absent from the last two Summer Vacation DVDs, she's the only one missing in the upcoming Oiso live. She got drunk on TV during TIF 2012. The only time she got attention lately was crying on top 10 Most Liked Idoling episode. I detect a pattern. Her countryside looks never got me hooked, and it doesn't look better with age. She's a nice comic relief but that's just not enough for someone who's been a member for so long.

59 pts Goto Kaoru - She has looks and still is young, but I'm not seeing any improvement, won't say she's hopeless, but I wouldn't bet on her either.

59 pts Kiyoku Reia - She's just way too young that she sticks out in an unflattering way. Even if she has great potential, it's highly unlikely that I'll ever get to witness it as it's going to be a few years away at the least and god knows what kind of world we'll be living in then. This is really nothing against her, she's just not the right fit for the group.

52 pts Kikuchi Ami - I really should blame the staff as much as Kikuchi herself, but the point is there's simply too much of Kikuch. Her over-enthusiasm and over-activity is disturbing the harmony that is Idoling to the core. Kikuchi is over-doing EVERYTHING, she want to run the whole show now, and to think that just a year ago she was one of the unpopular members who had about the same face-time as Sakai did, that is scary in its proper perspective. Kikuchi has totally lost it. She's out of control. I don't know how much longer I can take her. I rather see her graduate than ruin Idoling.

45 pts Nomoto Manami - A bit similar to Kikuchi in that she is too much and over-does it. Kikuchi at least used to get what Idoling was suppose to be about, with Nomoto she doesn't get it, and she's a mess.

Well, given her latest shenanigans (weight aside), I think she's evolving into a second Yazawa but isn't really doing that much of a good job in doing so.

Nomoto will never be a second Yazawa. (nor will Ojima for that matter)  :smhid (I may be biased on this, but I think everyone will agree)

She may be evolving, but over-doing it is not the way (for example: the crying after being defeated by Ojima and in the batsu-minton game in #901).
After these antics, she's actually dropped a bit on my ranking...

Well, Nomoto does have her fans though, otherwise she wouldn't be the one with the most solo dvds among 4th gen.

lol, I must be one of the few who're loving the current Nomoto.

If the Nomoto we see in R no Housoku is her 'on' mode then the Nomoto in Idoling!!! is her 'off' mode, or the more genuine side of her so to say. While no one will be able to replace Yazawa, Nomoto is definitely doing a great job in filling the void she left. She's becoming more forward, daring, and I reckon she currently has the most chemistry with Masuno after Amimi. She even clicked with Hamaguchi who barely knew anything about the members.

Dodgeball has nothing to do with her character and contrary to what she believes, I can't see how she lost anything after the battle with Ojima. She's just a little too passionate like 92% of people from Kansai, but since when has crying been a problem as a member of Idoling!!!?

And as a side note, Nomoto also has great interaction with fans during handshake events. She's like found the perfect line between idol/comedian.

Crying like Asahi or Okawa is okay, but bursting and yelling it out in tears like she's going to die for 5 minutes is a little over the top...

That doesn't mean I'm saying she isn't trying her best or anything, she's just not my type (and I'm not talking about her weight, Yazawa has had her ups and downs in terms of weight as well). Everyone has different tastes which is why everybody's ranking will be different.

Crying like Asahi or Okawa is okay, but bursting and yelling it out in tears like she's going to die for 5 minutes is a little over the top...

Now that's a little hypocritical since that's exactly what Okawa did, but in her own fashion since she doesn't have the vocals for it.

:up #22 Kurata Ruka - Really funny, super cute and pretty. She'll go far.
:up #20 Ookawa Ai - Big winner. Beautiful girl, very open and spontaneous. Pleasure to watch.
:up #21 Hashimoto Kaede - Her talking voice amuses me. She's like a little princess, haha.
:down #26 Ojima Chika - Dropped quite a bit. Comes across a bit forced lately.
:up #14 Sakai Hitomi - Adult charm
:new #29 Tamagawa Ramu - She's a natural. Interesting looks, cool character. Nice addition to the group.
:up #16 Kikuchi Ami - Always finding her way in the spotlight, for better or worse.
:up #19 Tachibana Yurika - No real comments. Good average member.
:down #13 Nagano Serina - She tries so hard, but in the end she just doesn't have the natural spark. Even so, still cute and entertaining.
:up #25 Gotou Kaoru - Akward vibe creator, lol.
:down #17 Miyake Hitomi - That special episode where she had to make an appeal for herself was funny, but she didn't manage to pull me over.
:down #09 Yokoyama Rurika - Haven't seen her in aaages.
:down #03 Endou Mai - Dropped quite a bit too. She doesn't really stand out to me.
:same #24 Nomoto Manami - Very hit or miss.
:same #23 Itou Yuuna - She's improved quite a lot these past years, but she's just not my type.
:same #12 Kawamura Yui - The way she acted in one of those Guam specials completely ruined her vibe for me.

I didn't rank all the 5th gen members, because I can't tell them apart yet  :nervous

Replying to a post on the other thread gave me this idea so basically I'm going to rate the members based on "Who would make an ideal girlfriend?" criteria instead of judging them as idols, I guess it doesn't really change things for some people either way, but in my case there's a clear difference, so here it is. The rating is point-based and anything below 70 points is considered not my type. Oh and this includes ALL 30 members.

92 points - Ishida Karen: This came as a bit of a shock to me, I mean looks matter a lot to me and while Karen is pretty, she's not that sexy and by the looks of it she doesn't even have average size boobs, but when it comes down to picking a girlfriend it's all about the chemistry and I feel like I can be most comfortable being with Karen. She's gentle, feminine with a touch of a playfulness, and has enough intelligence to keep up with my inner-geek topic of conversations. Karen also seems independent enough to not nag on me all the time, and while having a mind of her own, she doesn't strike me as confrontational either, so I wouldn't get into an argument with her at all.

90 points - Endo Mai: I'd rather be a close friend or a brother to her than a boyfriend since she would be a source of inner-growth and inspiration for many things, but hey I wouldn't mind it at all as she's incredibly hot. Our many conversations would span across many different topics I would assume, ranging from philosophical to environmental, the intellectual stimulation would be just as great as the hot steamy nightly sex we would engage in. I probably would never get bored being with her as her AB blood type brings a bipolar aspect to her personality, which is both fascinating and a little worrisome in that she might dump me for no reason out of the blue and go join the Red Cross in search of her inner-peace or something.

85 points - Okawa Ai: She is a classic trophy girlfriend that I would proudly display to all just to pat my macho-ego. She's absolutely gorgeous, amazing body, fantastic boobs, if I was a bio-med scientist and had the means to create a perfect sex doll clone, Aichan would be on the very short list of names. While I also like her outgoing nature and a sense of humor, her goofiness gets a little too much for my liking, and the weird faces she does is a total turn-off. But that little negative simply does not outweigh the infinite positives Aichan brings to the table and I'm willing to overlook that minor flaw if it means I get to have wild, passionate sex with Aichan everyday.

78 points - Tachibana Yurika: She's not as glamorous as Aichan is, but still pretty darn great in looks, in some ways I think I prefer Yurika's graceful face more than Aichan's highly exotic face. Yurika can be so much sexier if she wanted to but her personality totally gets in the way, she's quite nerdy for the lack of a better word in my eyes, so it might be tough to get her into the mood frequently, but I find such a gap quite stimulating as well. Yurika also has a great sense of humor and I can imagine our conversations to be quite enjoyable. One thing I'm a little concerned about being with her is that she could be rather nagging and needy, with a severe degree of mood-swings.

72 points - Miyake Hitomi: I really like her cute face, and her highly flexible body is a total turn-on. She's rather peaceful and gentle in normal mode so I think we can get along just fine, I would probably spoil her silly by pampering to her requests knowing fully well that ruining her mood is a kiss of death to my well-being. Even with her outbursts of drunken-sailor mannerisms at times, she would be a very cool person to be with.

70 points - Fonchi: Barely making the passing grade is not a reflection on Fonchi's quality of goodness, her gorgeous body is to die for, very feminine, and has a good heart. But as MY girlfriend, there are some issues that came up where I had to deduct points for it. I think she's too flirty for my liking, and that's a big no no to me when I consider her as a girlfriend. I mean it's already tough enough fending off the wild beasts who prey upon good-looking ladies on any signs of vulnerability, add the flirty nature of Fonchi to the mix and my full-time job would be fending off the wild beasts from seducing her left and right. I don't want to go broke protecting my flirty girlfriend all the time. Another issue is that she seems very high maintenance, another reason that my wallet will not survive.

-------------------------------------------Passing Line---------------------------------------------------------------------

69 points - Morita Suzuka: I find her relatively attractive, but in terms of physique she's just too petite for my liking. She clearly has a mind of her own and her free-spirited nature probably will get in the way at some point, and knowing that she can be quite manipulative, our relationship may not stay very honest for too long. She's more of a short fling type rather than a long-term partner.

68 points - Kato Sayaka: She's nice looking and all, but not really attracted to her physically, I can see that she has a good intention, but it gets lost in the delivery in that she just seems very opinionated and nagging. I probably would get into a lot of argument with her. The relationship probably won't last past 3 months.

65 points - Kikuchi Ami: In terms of physique, Kikuchi has one of the best erotic bodies in my eyes, and the extent of my relationship with her would be strictly physical in nature as I won't find her manipulative, and controlling personality to be appealing at all as well as her husky voice. I would just have sex all the time every time I see her until I get tired of her then dump her.

62 points - Tonooka Erica: Her face is just not my type, so much so that I don't even find her sexually arousing even though she has a nice rack and all. Her introverted personality is a little bit of a burden as well, she's definitely high maintenance on the mental side.

60 points - Yokoyama Rurika: One might see her as a perfect trophy girlfriend, but in my case I'd add the word platonic as well, I just don't find Rurika sexually arousing at all, which is odd because I do think Rurika is good-looking. I just don't feel any chemistry with her, she might as well be an alien from outer-space, that's how foreign her existence feels to me. Her uptight, elitist mentality isn't helping matters either. I truly think Rurika is conceited, and I just don't think I can be intimate with such types.

52 points - Michelle Miki: It's been so long since I ever watched her on any video so familiarity factor may have affected the rating, but I do recall that she is very sassy and nice-looking. But she's just extremely westernized and bratty as well as aggressive to even consider as a legitimate candidate.

48 points - Ito Yuna: She's cute and all but she still looks so young that I don't feel anything in terms of sexual aspect. I think we would get along fine but the depth of conversation would be quite superficial due to her casual nature. She also might be very needy.

42 points - Goto Kaoru: She's rather very good-looking, but her awkward nature just has no attractiveness to it. She has potential to be a trophy girlfriend, but her inept social skills prevent me from displaying her to the world proudly. I don't think I would get tempted even if she approached me totally naked.

34 points - Ojima Chika: She has spectacular boobs and that's pretty much it. She simply does not have proper manners and acts too uninhibited to a point where I would be afraid to walk on the streets with her.

33 points - Takahashi Kurumi: I like her girly looks, but she doesn't have a distinctive personality that I find unique so far.

32 points - Tamagawa Ramu: I find her cute but not amazing in looks, I think she's quite manipulative, I just don't see myself with her.

30 points - Yazawa Erika: A bit similar to Ojima in that she has spectacular boobs, but the rest is just grotesque. I have never seen an idol openly get out of control in front of a TV camera after getting drunk to a degree that she has. You can only imagine how crazy her private life is. I don't want to be a part of that circus.

25 points - Asahi Nao: I would rather her be my little brother... I mean little sister, wait that doesn't feel right, yeah, little brother it is.

20 points - Hashimoto Kaede: Totally only see her as a little sister type.

0 points - Kiyoku Reia: Out of the question

0 points - Kobayashi Maia: She's a ghost to me.

0 points - Kawamura Yui: There's a better chance of me becoming a Buddhist monk.

0 points - Sakai Hitomi: Literally zero attraction.

0 points - Koizumi Rumi: Too psychotic.

0 points - Nagano Serina: Too bratty, too self-absorbed.

0 points - Kurata Ruka: I sense nothing of interest.

0 points - Takiguchi Mira: I'm not interested in inter-species breeding.

0 points - Eto Maria: Too bratty, too conceited.

0 points - Nomoto Manami: As if.

Admittedly, I did not see every episode this year, and I have not even seen all the ones which have been subbed yet either, so my list is certainly not fully informed. But from what I did see:
854. I think everyone liked this one, even if they don't really like 5th gen.
865. I like when they have to do something physical like that.
867. I am a Rino fan, and definitely like seeing cross-idol episodes of any type. So that being said you can guess whats next . . .
900-903.
904. Very blatant talk about panties definitely amusing.
936. Something very bizarre about being witness to a mass vaccination.
938. Poor girls, lol. I honestly wonder if this groping phenom is truly as prevalent that any of them might have truly had to deal with it, or is it just something they overblow to make a joke out of.
943. Elevated by the dog's performance surely, but still would have been good anyways.
Whoops that was 11, wasn't it? Well that's because I went with a 4-parter. If we pretend that tournament only counts as one episode, then I would also have included the two graduation episodes.

I have not properly posted on this forum for a while so thought I would give myself a reason to watch all Idoling!!! PVs again. It has definitely been a trip down the memory lane and just great to some of the old PVs. I really miss the 1st gens:) I rated each PV based on how much I like each of the following in the PV: song, costume, dance and story. My arbitrary weight for the components are 30:30:10:30 respectively (dance does not make or break a PV for me so it gets the lowest weight. Here are my list:

Having compile this list, here are the top rankings from each of the category for me:

Some thoughts from me based on this:

What's your favourite PVs from Idoling!!!?

havenn;t really done a PV ranking before, but it guess it is never too late to do one.

1. Shokugyou Idol. The whole PV captures the essence of what is idoling!!! in a single stroke. It was very personalize, we get to see everyone's hobby/personality and the song itself is basically about Idoling!!! themselves. It is that random PV which keeps reminding that Umeko's special skill is buying groceries lol

2. EVE. Probably one of my favorite song ever and the PV is gorgeous. Despite the Tonooka-centric lines the rest of the members are given proper attention as well. Despite not being a X'mas themed song but the PV kind of gives that vibe as well.

3. Poolside Daisakusen. The happiness of the members in the PV is so infectious, gives so much joy in watching them.

4. Makehende. I think that it is a pretty emotional PV for an emotional song. Plus that Suu-chan scene is a heartbreaker.

5. Love Magic Fever.
