In 2010, girls from 10-20 years old were welcome to audition for a new idol group based in Ehime where they would revitalize the prefecture. 14 successful applicants were picked in August of that same year, and they were divided into two groups of 7. One would make Hime Kyun Fruit Can, consisting of Kono Honoka, Abe Ayumi (leader), Hasebe Moeka, Watanabe Emina, Okumura Mayuri, Okamoto Mai and Komiyama Erika while the other would be Hina Kyun Fruit Can, a trainne group, consisting of Yamaoto Rin, Tanio Sakurako, Kikuhara Yuria, Kawabata Manami Ohara Ayu, Tanaka Sahara and Kadota Mayu. Two of the trainees, Sakurako and Yuria ended up being promoted to Hime Kyun, and about two months or less after the group’s formation, Erika graduated from the group in September of 2010.
In March of 2011, their debut single "Renai Energy Hoson no Housoku" hit stores nationwide and managed to acquire the #1 spot on the Oricon Indies Charts selling 689 copies. During the months of May and June, Hina Kyun trainees Rin, Manami and Sahara graduated from the group. The remaining trainees Ayu and Mayu joined together to form nanoCUNE, Hina Kyun’s new trainee sister group. Moeka graduated from Hime Kyun in November 2011. Ayumi and Emina graduated on March 31, 2012. Sakurako was assigned as the new leader. Hime Kyun have many regular TV program appearances and commercials, and participated in a number of local events.
