HKT48 will have a new TV show lasting for 12 episodes entitled HaKaTa Hyakkaten. This will start on the 7th October 2012 from 2am on Nippon Television. The following episodes will start at 1:30am and will last for half an hour each.

Sashihara Rino will host the show, which will feature AKB48 members including Oshima Yuko, Kashiwagi Yuki, and Shinoda Mariko choosing their HKT48 oshimen.

I started watching HKT Variety48 but it was all over the place.
Hoping the addition of some AKB48 senpai will shift this show into next gear.
This could be entertaining and good exposure for the HKT girls  :)

^ That's exactly my thoughts. This is their first national show, and with the AKB girls there, it could be great exposure for them. And this kindof show where they introduce the members is great for someone like me who doesn't know many of the group but wants to learn! Looking forward to it :)

I really liked the first episode. Reminds me of old school AKBINGO, right down to the oshipins. :lol: Although the segment was a bit spoiled for me. They did a foot massage segment on Korekara before, and Sakura displayed her poker face skills there. As soon as she just kept proceeding on normally, I knew it was her.

Good stuff, looking forward to more.

I enjoyed this one a lot more than episode 1.
I thought the game segment was a lot funnier than EP.

Anyway, I'm caught up and dare I say this is probably the most entertaining AKB48 show on at the moment.

Sasshi is always fun and she's a good MC. The AKB48 guest is nice because it offers various interaction and it shows of their different characters. Yuki and Miichan are very different which resulted in a different kind of episode. The HKT kids are all fresh and fun  :thumbup

Bit low budget setting with old school games and segments... I like it a lot. It works out very well somehow. Oshipins ftw.

SomethingWild san- agreed the show is simple and with the HKT girls bringing their freshness it makes for good TV.

And the AKB48 guest member gets to be Queen for a day, and Sasshi gets to promote, which she seems to enjoy.

Another nice episode.
Haruka Wakatabe, whose dad is pro baseball veteran, was able to show how to imitate Ichiro at the plate perfectly, after no one could guess the imitation being done.
Every time a girl starts to have tears, they always play this very melodramatic music.
Anna settling into her role of annoyer pretty well, I hope they give her a big win on one of the episodes. She really is a funny girl, and her television skills are rapidly improving.
HKT girls are really enjoying having the AKB48 big names visiting them.
Next week should be fun, as Shizuka Oya is from Fukuoka, and she is always fun.

The show is pretty entertaining on it's own but those subs lol they're a work of gold. :lol: Watching this pretty much proves that I really do like HKT as a whole but of course can't be stolen away from Wakaharu, I like how she's really vocal here. I wonder if she'll get picked eventually. /o/

Height-wise Mayu fit in perfectly. I loved that showed when she lined up amongst the HKT girls. Good ep again  :thumbup

Big winner in this ep was Sashihara. Holy shit she looked good. I love it when she goes for a "French" attire. Pure win. She needs to be put back in my top 10 favorites list asap.

Mayu was like an elegant auntie to them HKT girls <3

Episode wasn't as entertaining as episode 2, as I can't even think of any stand-out moments, unlike the Aoi one. Overall it was fun though. Annya is becoming slightly annoying.

Was disappointed with Mayu's pick, but the way the show flowed, there wasn't an obvious way or person to pick. Oya next week, not as big hitter as the previous names, and I'm hoping for Yuko the week after, since she just G+ed something (https://plus.google.com/105229500895781124316/posts/WyemShA5w3d) about HKT.

I don't mean this as a bash on Miichan, I like her alot, but the atmosphere in the studio was so different when Mayu was there compared to her (Minegishi). Sure, it was played up abit but still.


Also I can see why people is annoyed by Anna, I really can. Personally though I like her alot.

Anna has been assigned the role of "Annoyer" but apparently she has actually felt isolated at school (naturally kids at junior high can be pretty insecure, so if a girl who has a foreign mother who also happens to be a talent for a nationally famous entertainment group attends school while missing many events because of filming, you can imagine there might be some problems adjusting as a regular school kid with the other kids). Anna said that she is similar to her annoying persona, but that she would like to get along better at school. She credits Jurina Matsui for discussing these issues with her, and encouraging her. Credit to Jurina for reaching out to Anna and some of the other HKT members.

So I think for now, Anna will continue to play " Annya Annoyer" but I see a girl with good comedic talent, a beautiful smile and lovely green eyes- who deserves fans' support.

Episode 3 was HILARIOUS. Haven't laughed that much throughout a 48 program in quite a while. :lol: The game was comedy gold, but I also loved Tanaka Natsumi's (she's 12?!) shoe trick fail, and Mayu's "Sasshi~ >:|" after Aoi starts to cry. :lol:

This show and other HKT exposure are making it hard to be anything but a Sakura oshi. She's all kinds of cute and awesome. There are lots of really cool girls but Sakura is like, next-level.

This is shaping up to be a GREAT show. And a great group.

Even though I'd watched episodes 1-3 before with no subs, I watched all episode 1-5 with subs from halfassedsubs yesterday. The show is really good fun and the subs just make it better. They are the complete opposite of half-assed, because they have gone to the effort of making the subs really funny, which adds another level of entertainment to the show. Just don't think they are going to be serious. Overall, Aoi is standing out as great member - her crying and general behaviour is so cute. She just couldn't find it in her to insult Sakura in the insulting challenge  :lol:
The complete opposite was Annya and (forgotten the name), they could have gone on forever, but Annya was kindof running out of things to say.

Too bad Mocchi didn't rate their ears or pick a favorite set :P

Also Lovetan's debut in the show! Loved her "I've been doing this for years" character. Mocchi is 4th gen and Sasshi is 5th gen, making Lovetan (3rd gen) the big senpai in the room  :lol:.

Sasshi: all-round super pro
Lovetan: grumpy senpai, brutally honest
Sakura and Haruppi: wholesome cute and fresh girls
Murashige: noisy girl who gets bullied
Chihori: variety queen

not to mention Aoi, Cinnamon, the Capt'n, etc! HKT48 is becoming a very well rounded group in terms of characters  :thumbup

That was a great episode-
the funny- Mochi's earrassment
the touching- Anna still struggling with her annoying chara, and Sashi stepping in to cheer her up
the obvious- Cap'n Chihiro needs to keep practicing the guitar
the interesting- two pro baseball players daughters- they really do have a lot in common
the awesome- new song- fits their youth and charm perfectly- (Hint: could use a little more focus on Madoka- she is the queen of beautfiul expressions during songs)

But! Season 2 has been decided! It will be starting on 26th with a 1 hour SP! And will run till March with a total of 8 Episodes.
The way this will be different from season 1 is that guest members from AKB will not be appearing in season 2. But it will feature On-location filming and Dokkiri pranks on members!!!
The concept this time will be: "Variety show to help the HKT members grow further as idols"

Damn, Meru actually looked pretty cute in her own clothes.

My fav part was the singing segment. All three did very well and I didn't even know they could sing!  :twothumbs

One thing became painfully clear during this episode: Lemon's trick box is empty  :nervous
She barely said anything. She didn't do anything. She didn't interact with the others and they barely showed her during the gourmet segment at the end.

This show woke up my interest for the whole group ! Concept is nice and even that guests are not always so into it (for example : I love fresh lemon but that episode was disappointing.. HKT girls are more fresher than lemon) these girls are fun to watch and every episode is little bit different! Cosplay and fashion things had been fun and Sasshi does good job!

I found my HKT oshimen (Murashige :heart: :lol: ) and many girls that are too cute to be true and maybe after this is over I start to watch another HKT48 variety shows.

I love watching this show, but I wonder how long it'll last because eventually they'll be popular enough so that they won't be dependent on people trying to make them their favorites. You know, I can't believe I just realized this, but this show is pretty much how AKBingo! started. Although when they were collecting oshi badges, it was supposed to lead to something but eventually faded away without explanation, haha.

One thing I'm glad for is that Murashige's interruptions aren't as bad anymore. Either she toned it down a bit or there's careful editing. Yeah she has outbursts and tells every guest she loves them, but in the first season her proclamations really halted the show.

Gotta love hald-assed subs. For awhile it was tough to figure out what exactly the translations were, even believed a few things.
