Since the SNSD love is huge, most of the members don't like WG that much, you know XD But I do like them :3 My fvaourite is Sunmi and then YeEun, then the others...lol. I think my love for them died a bit when all the Tell me fuzz came but oh well, I adore Ee Babo, my favourite song of them  I just think their style is too sexy for Sunmi and Sohee XD
I was thinking about making a Wonder Girls thread, but no, to many SNSD fans XD.
Wonder Girls is good (not as good as SNSD if you ask me XD) and they are funny and cute .
Favourite girls *thinks* SunYe and YooBin, but SunMi is growing and SoHee and YeEun too, but not as much as SunMi.
I may hate their music, but I got nothing against them personally :P
Being a SNSD fan really has nothing to do with it since I hated their music before I even knew SNSD
Plus I think SunYe and YooBin are hot.
It's weird that they didn't show up in search though, since they were brought up a few times in the Korean Pop/Rock thread.
Oh Wow! Wonder Girls Thread!
I was just thinking about them earlier and then I saw this thread.
I love their song Irony it's the best! Sun Mi and Sun Ye are my favorite! So cute and pretty!
They're really awesome and they dance great too!
I like Wonder Girls, but not as much as compared to say, MoMusu. but still a fan. I only listens to 2 of their songs, Irony and Tell Me, though, and Baboh from their 2nd album. Favorite Member is Sun Mi, watch from a Star Golden Bell that she's a weird little girl, talking to herself and about space and explosive stars, which adds to her charm point.
Reminds me of my fav. girl Kamei Eri and her nonsense humor. Too weird and adorable for words..
Although I like "tell me" i think it's been overplayed too many times.
If u think about this, Wonder Girls "tell me" is like MoMusu "Love Machine" back in the day.
2 songs that boost the respective groups' popularity.
To add to the comparison, Love Machine is also one of my favorite songs from MoMusu, but it's too been perf. too many times. MoMusu have many more great songs, but most of the public will only remember LM and they also perf it on Special TV programs, always squeezed it in somewhere (remember how much hate their Kohaku perf got from internet fans, we rather see something new and 2007 rather than something back in 1999).
One thing I do like about Wonder Girls more than Morning Musume, though, is their PVs. WG's PV's have more substance, more story-line. But I can't blame the Morning Musume girls for that because they don't have control over it. But I do see your comparisons. It's a good thing that they're working on another album for this year because Tell Me has had enough. It's exhausted from all the attention and it needs a vacation. :grin:Yeah I agree about the PV's, the Morning Musume PV's seem to declare the song. Lol, producer's fault XD... Can't wait for the their new album to come out. I'm really looking forward to it. I loved Tell Me but since it was on too much the song was overused and became tiring. So yeah it does need a vacation!

“I will marry Yoo Bin if I win an Olympic gold medal!”
January 8, 2008 by coolsmurf
(http://www.pharadox.com/images/wonder girls/WangKiChun.jpg)
This was what 20 year old Korean judo under-73kg exponent, Wang Ki Chun told reporters over the weekend at the Olympic village training center.
Yoo Bin is the sexy member of Wonder Girls who is always clad in mini hot pants. Although he has never met Yoo Bin in person before, he still said, “For the sake of Yoo Bin, I will do my very best and bring back the gold medal.” Both are them are considered superstars in the song and judo world respectively. Wang Ki Chun came to fame after defeating fellow Korean Lee Won Hee who was known as the one bout winner at last year’s World Judo Meet. He is heralded as a young Judo hero since achieving that.
Looking at Wang Ki Chun spiky hairdo, he represents the new generation of judokas but the only thing that makes his heart race even faster is sexy same-age singer, Yoo Bin who is constantly on his mind than winning an Olympic gold medal. Wang Ki Chun said again, “Will I be lacking something if I propose to Yoo Bin publicly?” I think concentrating on perfecting your judo techniques rather than daydreaming would give you a better chance at the Beijing Olympics 2008.
I've seen the movie 'I like it hot' too and it's pretty cool ( not only because of the 'sohee n kimbum' kiss
^ I'll feel sorry for the guy after all that and he didn't win (Yoo Bin might give a sight of relief though). But it sound like a pure and wishful dream. He'd have the courage to say that in public, he should be granted something somehow.
Maybe Yoo Bin would acknowledge him in some way? or say if he get within the top 3 (If not Gold, then Silver or Bronze), a date or something...
he should probably clear up his acne or something so maybe he'll have a better chance getting a k-i-s-s.
btw, i agree with the PV thing, H!P/Momusu PVs doesn't tell a story, just the girls dancing singing and close-up. no story, no artisitic value, no emotions and feelings, no creativity whatsoever.
Only thing good about H!P PVs is to watch the pretty girls in galore. admire their beauty and their irresistable cuteness and sheer AWESOMENESS of how cute and sexy they dances, even if the dance steps aren't that great.
I've seen the movie 'I like it hot' too and it's pretty cool ( not only because of the 'sohee n kimbum' kiss
O yeah I remember reading something about that. Sth like fan boys(and/or fan girls) being pissed about that
^lol, who (or what) else did so hee kiss in that movie?
lolz i loved the kiss scene with Kim Bum XD
I think YooBin would not want Wang Ki Chun to win a Medal XD  Let's see what happens if he does, Binnie.
I love this;
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zyuoGu68QQM
Sun Sun Mi. Sohee. I rly adore how Sunmi is so different to the other members, that's why I love her  and the Hippo too~ (yeeun).
Mini Hyoris  :inlove:
Whoa.. This is weird. Idownloadedgot 'I like it hot' the other week coz it sounded like a cool movie. And now (from reading this thread) it turns out a WG is in it?! :D I had nooooooo idea at all. Can it be faith? Lol  I'm just happy. Now I have one more (big) reason to watch it! XD
thanks, I'll grab that, is it subbed?
Oh Weee~ I wanted to see the movie and here it is has subs too~ Arigatou Phara-san!! :thumbsup
13th March: First Day of High School @ Chungdam High School
On Sun Mi’s first day at High School, it was SO CRAZY THAT THREE WINDOWS FROM HER CLASS WERE SHATTERED BECAUSE OF PEOPLE CROWDING HER CLASSROOM. PEOPLE WERE TRAMPLED, HALLWAYS BLOCKED, and even when school started, they didn’t leave. Every chance they get, they would go to her class, perhaps even disrupting her class in the process.
14th March: Sun Mi goes around classrooms to greet everyone
Sun Mi went to EACH CLASS to greet them and ask them not to come into her class so often because it was bothering her class & fellow students.
3 teachers, and I believe one principal was with her as she went around greeting them. They also gave the students 10 seconds of photo time.
Sunmi dyed her hair black again because she wanted to follow the school regulations and act like what a normal student does.
Some real-life stories from students of Chungdam High School
Sun Mi came to school on 13th March. It was crazy as ppl crowded around the class, taking pictures, resulting in a sea of students as three of Sun Mi’s classroom windows broke, the door came off the hinges, and people wouldn’t leave even after the morning bell rang. So the teachers had to hassle with the students to get back to their classes as a result.
Chungdam High School, BARELY HAS ANY CELEBRITIES. MOST JUST TRANSFER TO A DIFFERENT SCHOOL SUCH AS TAE YEON FROM SNSD & SUN YE FROM Wonder Girls. Due to the strict rules of Chungdam High School, and its restrictions on celebrities, it makes a celebrities’ life hard when trying to follow those rules. Thus, so many just transfer to a different school. BUT SUN MI said that she’d rather go to a normal school like everyone else, and so she isn’t going to transfer, but will follow the harsh rules instead.
Sun Mi didn’t want her presence to bother other students in her class, she thus went with three other teachers around the classrooms and greeted the classes one by one. She said that she didn’t want people to come to her room a lot because it will disturb the other students. She wished all the best for everyone.
What’s really weird is that the Teachers said for every class:
“Now, I’ll give you 10 seconds of picture time. Go!“
So some people took pictures while others took videos. She signed the blackboard, and was a bit shy/hesistant.
A lot of people said she was nice enough to smile for everyone as they took pictures of her. Chungdam High School is a co-ed school, which makes it worse.
So Hee As well..she goes to a different school, an all-girls school, but she too went around all the classes and greeted everyone. However, there are barely any photos of So Hee since the teachers didn’t let people take pictures, unlike Sun Mi’s school. Everyone said that they were nice and looked like dolls.
Wow, that is indeed a little crazy, but they're in high school, so that's normal. I just wanted to thank Pharadox for the movie, I'm gonna yoink it as well. Thanks!
They're so cuuute, aren't they? XDYep! Suuuuuuuuuuuupa Cute~! :luvluv2:
WONDER GIRLS REVEALS A SEXY CONCEPT AHEAD OF THEIR COMEBACK
Wonder Girls who created a “Tell Me” storm in 2007 has started their pre-album promotion by releasing images of their new sexy concept starting this morning.
Wonder Girls will be making their comeback soon and ahead of their album release, their official website posted the new sexy concept that Wonder Girls would be taking on for their new album with Park Ye Eun being unveiled first.
She is seen wearing a leopard print tight dress with red leggings and heels, being held up by American football players. Compared to their previous “Tell Me” retro image, she looks more sexy and mature and leaves a deep impression.
According to JYP Entertainment, “Our company hopes that Wonder Girls can bring out their sexy charisma for this new album and replace their previous cute image that one usually associate them with. The members have just ended their Thailand promotion not long ago and is now working hard for their comeback in Korea. Their newest comeback date is set for late May.”
Radical change but it’s expected. Anyway, pictures of other members will be released simultaneously culminating in album release on 22nd May.
So just stayed tuned!
SUN YE SEXY IMAGE CONCEPT FOR SECOND ALBUM
Sun Ye is the second Wonder Girl to be unveiled, it’s nothing as sexy as Ye Eun. She wears something (?) that has leopard print too so does this mean that their album/image has something to do with leopard? And despite her new haircut looking fabulous to me, she dons a wig, don’t tell me they are pulling a Yoo Bin “Tell Me” style on her? Miso lovers should feel relieved at seeing this I figure.
After Ye Eun last Friday and Sun Ye today, I assume the rest will be unveiled one by one in the next three days culminating in the album release on 22 May.
holy crap didn't know their music could sound any crappier...should I read some irony in your sentence or is it just an anti-wg comment ?
holy crap didn't know their music could sound any crappier...should I read some irony in your sentence or is it just an anti-wg comment ?
would you accept this type of comment in the SNSD thread ?
if you don't like it just say so or stay away but don't try to start a war...
WonderGirls' comeback had taken the kpop scene by storm in just 1 day.
They revealed their new project MV "So Hot" on 22nd May on music sites like CyWorld, Melon, and had taken the number 1 place on CyWorld, Naver and Daum.
"So Hot" is not only hot stuff on music sites like Cyworld clinching the number 1 spot on them, but also on real time search engines like Naver and Daum.
"We were startled by the interest that fans gave to our new project. We thank our fans for the awaiting and anticipation, and we look forward to doing more promotional activities together the fans"
WonderGirls will return with performances on music programs for their new project at the end of May.
^Actually, it's not supposed to be about "Look at us, we're sexy!". They're making fun of themselves. That's why when YeEun is cheering and another girl walks by, all the guys follow the other girl. That's why when So Hee's walking the red carpet, she trips and falls. They're saying "A lot of people have built us up to be more than we are, but we're really just normal girls who get looked over for someone prettier and who trip and fall and we're not perfect."
And they don't have to try hard to look sexy. They're dead sexy without effort. But the concept for the video wouldn't work without the overkill sexy. :)
and honestly you could think that SoHee looks like an alien I wouldn't care that much =P
(http://ayu4eva.free.fr/jph!p/5489.gif)
WG is about the only group from which I don't have any favorites, because I like them all so equally much
On 27th June midnight, while So Hee was on her way to the rehearsal studio, they threw her a surprise birthday party. Because of their super busy schedule, So Hee didn’t expect anything, and actually forgot about her birthday.:cow:
Sohee stated, “I forgot it was my birthday, but the members remembered, so I’m really thankful. The members said that they would give me my presents later so I’m looking forward to them (So hee laughs).”
So Hee smiled when she saw that the members prepared cake and appetizers for her. Yoo Bin expressed, “As soon as it was her birthday, all the members wanted to be the first one to congratulate her. Because of our hectic schedule, I felt sorry that we didn’t have time to get gifts for her. But after watching So Hee, who was all happy and smiles, the members were able to let loose and have fun, something they haven’t done for a long time.
The Wonder Girls will be appearing on “Kim Jung Eun’s Chocolate”, a music show similar to “Yoon Do Hyun’s Love Letter” where artists sing a couple of songs and sit down for a short interview. Probably going to air next week.
WG performance of Kissing You was awesome. It was a really nice change of pace and they seemed pretty comfortable singing that style, while they added their own little touches to it.
So Hee actually sounded really great for once.lol I agree.
Edit: sh15uya, you with all your generous downloads, are my unsung hero. Seriously, people don't thank you enough. Thank you.hehe you're welcome (http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w179/sh15uy4/flowers.gif)
But. Just WOW. They did so well. They sang SNSD's music better than they sing their own music... which kind of begs the question, is SNSD's music easier to sing? I will not say yes or no because I could get roasted for the answer either way. I could get roasted for even asking the question. o.o;;
^ They haven't gotten worse. The trouble is that So Hot is not the type of song that is going to showcase beautiful voices. The singing style required for it is very clipped and abrupt. If you listen to them sing "This time" though, it's clear they can really sing.Very true that.
I actually thought their 'Kissing You' performance was very weak. Especially in the singing department. The girl who sung TaeYeon's high-pitched part at the end of the song made me cringe ;)
I loved WG's KY and I think this time YeEun totally stole the show, she was so wonderful and gorgeous
Considering you don't even know the names of the members, I can't imagine you're a fan. So you came here just to put them down?I came here to express my opinion, isn't that what message boards are for?
The male versions that Pharadox posted sound funnily realistic :D
Thanks for posting up those WG male version songs Pharadox, they're just as catchy. The male voices remind me of American R&B singers.
I listened to the Irony version, and I really love Hyun A's rap there
^ No, not guys. :p It's WG singing WG. But the pitch is lowered so that they sound like guys.
Thanks for the file sharing, as always. :D
IT'S NOT ME SINGING - i'm a girl ♥ These are still the girls singing, but with a lower pitch.
choice.
whether to eat rice or bread
whether to drink juice or cola
or
whether it’s Wonder Girl’s Ye Eun or 20 year old Park Ye Eun…
In life is there a choice with no regrets
does that even exist?
to others I have to be broad-minded
and to myself I have to be more severe but
i keep wanting to forgive myself..
 So the Koreans hate on the one that has some actual talent with a not so stand out personality that obviously loves what she's doing, and then praise the one with little talent and "interesting" personality (I really still don't see what the big deal about this girl is besides getting praise for her "omona.")
But the thing that makes me laugh the most is that they're hating on her because she drank with their producer or whatever he is to them?
Give me a break. She's of age, what is the big deal? Koreans like to get drunk off their minds anyways. >_>
Then yesterday, she posted this on cyworld:Quote from: coolsmurfchoice.Translation credit: wonderkid (who coolsmurf credited but I'm not sure where from)

Wonder Girls comprising of Sun Ye (19), Ye Eun (19), Yoo Bin (20), So Hee (16) and Sun Mi (16) have dominated the music industry last year and this year. After winning the hearts of young and old with “Tell Me” last year, they have carried on their momentum with their addictive “so Hot” comeback this May. The Wonder Girls who had stopped promotions for a four months break have won even more fans over after promoting their new mini album for a month. How did this 5 girls become so popular with the public? Let’s meet them now.
Q. “So Hot” has once again won a lot of popularity with everyone. Have you seen comedian Kim Shin Young performing this on “Infinity Challenge”?
Ye Eun: Saw it. I thoroughly analysed it from start till end. Especially towards her imitation of Sun Ye’s short hair, that was a good resemblance.
Q. During Music Bank recently, SNSD sang “Tell Me” while Wonder Girls did “Kissing You”. Fans even started many “who sang better” online discussions. How did you feel about SNSD rendition of “Tell Me”?
Sun Ye: We viewed all the related news reports after the performances. There were good reviews generally like “Although they sang other group’s songs, but they never lost their own flavor”. I felt that although SNSD and us are quite similar in age, but we all have our own different flavors. Although we didn’t practise much for the special performance, it was still pretty interesting. Everyone was able to complete their performances successfully.
Q. There were no issues about your singing when you debuted with “Irony”. But there were lots of debate when you performed “Tell Me” and “So Hot”. Park Jin Young once mentioned that he requested all of you to sing in this ’special’ way. Tell us the real reason behind this.
Sun Mi: Different from “Irony”, the two songs are more focused on transferring the image and are not songs for vocal skills display.
Ye Eun: Sun Ye and I use vibrations a lot when singing usually, but Park Jin Young told us not to for these songs. He said we would ruin the songs if we ignore the feelings of them.
Sun Ye: If all the songs were sang in the same tone, than the singers career option would not have existed. You can’t tell what this or that song is trying to convey. As for criticisms about neglecting our vocals and feeling uncomfortable when singing live, we acknowledge that. So we are working on it.
Q. Fans are really familar with your songs like “Irony”, “Tell Me” and “So Hot”. There’s a ballad included in your mini album, “This Time” which gave fans a refreshing jolt. They all wondered, “Wonder Girls can also sing songs like this?” Any plans to sing ballads in future?
Ye Eun: We don’t really plan to just stick to doing dance songs. If there are plans for us to do ballads, we will. It’s quite a pity that we aren’t able to promote “This Time”. But we will still sing this during other events.
Q. We have questions for each member starting with Sun Ye. Your stage clothes are all long pants?
Sun Ye: Ah. I can answer this question very honestly. The legs of the other members are all very pretty. From small, I started practising dancing so my legs aren’t that good looking. So compared to wearing skirts, I love wearing pants instead. This seems to suit me more.
Q. Heard that Yoo Bin’s voicebox isn’t that good recently. And she still can’t quite rap during live performances.
Yoo Bin: It’s much better now. I really want to perform live as soon as possible so I am practising hard.
Manager: Although she would like to sing live but because we are now preparing for the next album, so from the company’s perspective, it’s better for her to lipsync now.
Q. During SBS The Star Show, all the members cried while talking about their families, but So Hee didn’t.
So Hee: Everyone cried but I didn’t…, but actually the camera didn’t take the shot where I cried secretly.
Q. Ye Eun, you were the last to enter the group (Yoo Bin does not count). Did you meet with any difficulties back then?
Ye Eun: All the members treated me well so I didn’t have much difficulties. All the members had went through a long period of training and were talented already. I wasn’t that good in dancing so I had trouble keeping up initially.
Q. “4-Dimensional” Sun Mi, do you feel uneasy about this?
Sun Mi: 4-dimensional. Hmm~ Maybe it’s because I show more concern about such stuff. For example, the earth and galaxy. But the greenhouse effect on earth, space travel, aren’t these topics that people discuss recently now? But because of my overly concern over it, others look upon me as being 4-dimensional. Haha.
Q. You’ve done many interviews. Any questions you disliked being asked?
Ye Eun: Compared to dislike, it’s just questions that people keep asking us. “After Tell Me, do you feel the pressure about future albums”, related questions like this. But then again, we like being asked questions like this. Why? Because it only means that our previous albums were very successful.
Sun Ye: We also get questions like, “Do you fight often among yourselves?”. But we don’t. I am not sure about those who are of the same ages but probably because we are of different ages. We just throw tantrums sometimes.
Yoo Bin: Would like to try quarreling. Because I’m tomboyish in nature and don’t like to conceal things in my heart. I just want to have a open hearted talk.
Q. Your opinion about being compared with SNSD? Do you detest that?
Yoo Bin: No. It’s alright since we like SNSD on the contrary. We like SNSD and also listen to their songs. The oldest member in Wonder Girls and SNSD is me. I recently met Tae Yeon of SNSD backstage recently and said to her, “Let’s get along well in future”, she immediately replied me, “Understood, unnie.” You cannot imagine how cute that was. Hahaha.

I'm watching their live battle for this now but I have very little idea of what is going on besides that its an online roleplaying game thing
Q. Your opinion about being compared with SNSD? Do you detest that?Aww, so cute!
Yoo Bin: No. It’s alright since we like SNSD on the contrary. We like SNSD and also listen to their songs. The oldest member in Wonder Girls and SNSD is me. Q. “So Hot” has once again won a lot of popularity with everyone. Have you seen comedian Kim Shin Young performing this on “Infinity Challenge”?For anyone that hasnt seen it
But it seemed that YooBin had started rapping again on 18th July 08 during the group’s ‘So Hot’ remix performance on KBS Music Bank.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_oHm345lRs
She also performed live on Music Core on 19th July

Okay, a bit of news. Apparently WG will release a single album, not a 2nd album, around 25th of September. So I guess the 2nd album will be coming a bit later still in the year? But even just a single is good, right?
On 22nd August, Wonder Girls released the music video for “This Time” which surprised many fans and created a lot of buzz. “This Time” is a song that garnered a lot of love along with the title track off their mini-album “So Hot.”
“This Time” MV begins with the Wonder Girls’ members in their everyday life and the storyline progresses when Sohee reads a book titled “This Time.” Actor Shin Dong Wook, who has a strong fanbase because of his great acting skills and looks, plays a designer who falls in love with a mannequin, played by newbie actress Kim Yun Ah, and as a result the love story becomes very complicated.
Another reason why the music video is creating so much buzz is because the winning contestant from last year’s “UCC music video contest for ‘Breaking up in the daylight’’ was the one who produced the music video.
A JYPE representative stated, “On December 2007 we held a contest called ‘The Breaking up in daylight music video challenge,’ where the winner got an award and was given the chance to produce an all-expense paid music video for one of the artist signed under JYPE.” The rep also stated “The contestant who grabbed our attention was Kim Eui Yun who eventually won the contest and was invited to produce the music video for ‘This Time,’ which is thought of as Wonder Girls second title track after ‘So Hot.’ The production team spent three months shooting the music video before it was released today.
The music video was co-produced by director Kim Kwang Eun who stated, “The music video is about the Wonder Girls’ members reading a book titled ‘This Time,’ a complicated love story between a designer and a mannequin.” He explained, “This Time’ is a bright ballad song, so we decided to reflect the mood of the song by using only soft colors in the video. To enhance the composition of the video we used a unique technique called “rotoscoping.”
Contest winner Kim Eui Yun stated, “I’m still an amateur but I want to thank JYPE for giving me the chance to debut as a music video director and making my dreams come true.” Their co-produced music video for Wonder Girls “This Time” was revealed through GomTv last Friday midnight.
You know, sometimes I really wish we had multiple threads... like a picture thread, and a thread for each girl... and I could make WG poll threads... And then, you know, when a new MV is released we could put up a thread just for it and people would know "Hey, there's an WG MV download waiting for me!" instead of it being hidden like a needle in a haystack.
But I dream, don't I? Haha. Oh well.

woot woot so hee :D *saves*
what 2PM are you talking 'bout tama?
Has anyone seen 2PM's MV yet? There's a little cameo at the end. :D
 I don't think JYP even touches Tsunku as a music producer or musician. That's cause I think tsunku's a genius (especially when you think about the kind of "talent" he works with  ), though a little insane. He's like a mad music scientist. But at times he can seem a bit megalomanic. But I really don't see what you're basing this on though. JYP seems like a great guy and producer for his artists, and seems a little closer to them, maybe? But I don't think the music he produces is all that great. But that's partly cause Tsunku set a standard in my head for pop-music, which even he can't seem or even want to reach anymore.
Hmmm, Tsunku vs JYP... I gotta say Tsunku will always win for me, mainly coz I think his sexy and have a bit of a thing for him :opps:  Like SITS, I too think his a musical genius, his done so much and continues to do so, it's pretty incredible... I think JYP has that potential too, but really I don't know that much about besides the fact that I love the music he produces  Vocally, hmmm, they have different voices, but JYP might actually trump Tsunku there... hard to say :P But if it comes down to sex appeal, Tsunku all the way baby! :shakeit:
Geniuses are a bit insane anyway.

The Wonder Girls are named as one of eight “girl groups: ones to watch” by Britain’s Virgin Media.:muffin:
Richard Branson's media group said on its website, “Where Japan have J-pop, Korea have K-pop, and these five young ladies are leading exponents of the genre. Attempts to expand into China and a recent tour of America hint at plans for international breakthrough.”
It described the Korean group’s music as “candyfloss pop aimed squarely at the female teen market,” and recommended listening out for its latest hit song “So Hot”.
JYP Entertainment, the group’s agency, said The Wonder Girls was the only Asian girl-group on Virgin Media’s list.
“Since the news broke, the band's online music videos have been bombarded with a million hits. It seems that the performance the girls gave with other JYP singers, including Park Jin-young in the U.S. in February, has played an instrumental role in their popularity,” it said.
^ Haha. Yeah, the bandwagon's about to overflow and then topple over from all the new fans. It makes me ridiculously happy to know I was one of the original fans from the start. :DIt took me a little while to warm up to them... Not coz I didn't like the music or anything, I always loved that, but the 'Tell Me' dance really really scared me and a year later (or whatever) it still does XD

The track listing for the Wonder Girls 4th project is out on Wonderful Daum and likely to be official. Translations are as it is. Title track is indeed Nobody.
Following on the heels of Tell Me (Dance Pop from mid/late 80’s) and So Hot (Synth Pop from early 80’s), Nobody will complete the 3-part retro trilogy with a Motown girl group sound from the 60’s and 70’s for their 4th project.
Nobody is inspired by songs from Motown girl groups in the 60’s and 70’s like Supremes ‘You Keep me hangin’ on’, Martha & The Vandellas ‘Dancing in the Streets’, The Ronettes “Be my Baby’ and The Crystals ‘Da Doo Ron Ron’.
1. Nobody (title)
2. Goodbye (feat. 2PM Junsu)
3. Nobody (ballad ver.)
4. So hot (inst.)
5. That night on that street…
D-Day is set for 22nd September, 9am (KST) where it will be released digitally. Pre-orders for Korean fans starts now till 22nd and the album would be released on 30th September. Edit: I JUST PRE-ORDERED. YAY. :D It was only like $11.99 at YesAsia! That's a good deal.
^ about that JYP event. No amount of fanboyism will have gotten me to think that an enjoyable experience. But at least it was free, so maybe it would be totally worth it other than paying with hours of your day.
FULL MV!!!!the radio station guy @ 4:20~ ?
But honestly, I love the ballad version more XD. I didn't spotted Jaebum (from 2PM)...gotta re-watch it XD
Why would a Korean group have an English name and song? Seems they would want to be reaching the people in Korea? I mean, I know some of them speak English, but it seems they would want things sung in Korean?
Uhm... I think they certainly have some kinks to work out when it comes to nailing a performance for this... It seems pretty awkward and choppy with the going straight from live singing to the recording and they let themselves down a little with the vocals too :(
But if you keep providing so many damn beautiful uploads, I'm going to keep saying it. it's ok for me

Sun Ye and Yoo Bin Rates Their Nobody Music Bank Comeback Performance
September 27, 2008 by coolsmurf
While most people saw the Wonder Girls comeback performance as a success, the Wonder Girls expressed dissatisfaction. On the 26th, the Wonder Girls had their comeback performance on KBS “Music Bank”. After their performance, they went to their dressing room to reflect on their performance.
Leader Sun Ye expressed, “I felt like a load has been taken off my shoulders but I still feel dissatisfied somewhat.” Sun Ye said that when “Nobody” was released, she was overwhelmed at how well-received it was by the fans that it gave her the confidence to perform on stage today. Sun Ye expressed her thanks and said, “When I heard the supportive cheers from our fans in the audience today, my tense shoulders were instantly relieved.”
Sun Ye added, “All the members were nervous because they really want to give it their all. The performance was not that of a bad performance that we can’t evaluate ourselves. We prepared a lot but it was not easy to show it all at once.” With a bright smile, Sun Ye said, “We are not going to be hasty, we are determined to show how Wonder Girls have steadily improved.”
Yoo Bin on the other hand rediscovered the joy she feels as a singer.
She said, “I was somewhat nervous when I went on stage, but then I heard the fans and their loud cheers and I was so happy. In that moment, I realized how lucky I was to be given a good song and to even be standing on stage.”
Yoo Bin went on to explain the ‘Nobody’ concept, “With ‘Nobody’ that has a 60-70s retro concept, we wanted to get the concept perfectly right. Our costumes and hair was not the only point we focused on. We also thought about the stage direction because we wanted to show a more mature performance.”
Both rated their comeback as 30 points out of 100. “We worked hard. We were greedy and wanted to show a lot of things, so we can only give 30 points for our performance. Please look forward to our future performances.”

^ The ballad Ye Eun wrote is not boring. Dude, our taste in music is so different. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm a girl. :P But yeah, the walking down the stairs does look really bad. I wince a little every time I watch that part.
Okay, I'm going to pull a card, now. I studied music nearly my entire life, including a focus on vocal music in college. These girls can pull off ballads beautifully. And that's the opinion of an authority. :P Maybe So Hee isn't the greatest singer (she is actually improving a little), but she draws fans more than any of the other girls. Therefore, she is necessary.

WonderGirls to advance into Hollywood next year as actresses
WonderGirls will be advancing into American in 2009 as actresses and not as singers.
WonderGirls were at PIFF on 4th October in Busan. They said, “Even though Wondergirls are participating as singers today, next year we will be involved in a big project in America as actresses .”
And leader SunYe said, “We are currently preparing for a big project in America right now. With so much interest and concern for SoHee’s appearance in movie ‘I Like It Hot’, there are also plans for us in America next year.”
After that, a JYP representative said, “We are preparing for WonderGirls to advance into America not as singers but as actresses next year. And Park Jin Young will be leading the girls, though much more cannot be revealed until we have finalised with the plan at a later stage.”
No Plans For Wonder Girls As Hollywood Actresses At The Moment
October 5, 2008 by coolsmurf
At the conjuctions being made that the nation’s best female idol group, Wonder Girls, will be entering Hollywood as actresses next year, their management company’s representative said, “There is nothing that is settled yet.”
The Wonder Girls participated in Pusan’s “Premiere Star Summit Asia” at the Haeundae Grand Hotel that introduced various countries’ movie stars.
On this day, Wonder Girls’ Sun Ye said, “We are planning a huge project in America next year” which left people thinking that she meant the group was entering the Hollywood market as actresses. However, Wonder Girls’ representatives stated, “The thing is not that the Wonder Girls will go to Hollywood as actresses. There are no concrete plans or confirmed details.”
“We went to the movie festival for So Hee who had appeared in the movie ‘I Like It Hot’ (which was shown last year in theatres) and for a congratulatory stage at the ‘Rising Star’ event,” added the JYPE representative.
Through JYP USA that Park Jin Young established in New York, there is a blueprint for the Wonder Girls to penetrate the American market as singers. Earlier this year, the girls were guests at Park Jin Young’s American performances, where they received high interest from record label representatives and fans. Just exploring their options I guess.

Ahhh, Wonder Girl Mania! :k-thrilled:
I'm not sure it is a good idea for them to go into America as actresses... I mean, the little that they're known in the US for is singing, so it doesn't make sense to me that they'd take this route. But I have a lot of faith in JYP's ability to lead these girls to success, so I will wait and see what happens.yeah, I agree with you and eileen has corrected her article about it ^^
I could have sworn there was a Wonder Girls concert in the US being planned for next year, though. That's singing.
But you know, acting in the US could mean a lot of speaking in English, and I'm all for that. It's so cute when they speak English.
[...]
I knew it sounded fishy.

haha damn, heard about it too from Odango's radio show...that's pretty scary. He prolly gonna dress up like em for Halloween. but seriously, any US exposure is dope.
Pharadox's sig and wally's got me :nosebleed:Ahhh, Wonder Girl Mania! :k-thrilled:
aight -- count me in on the mania too mode! Guess I was intrigued when SNSD did the cover, then kinda turned off when KT did the dance :P then returned on when Nobody hit the scene. Like my homegirl shirenu put it so well:
<shirenu> i've been trying to avoid them but you know what always happens
<shirenu> i can't resist girls
Comeback? Shit I can't get enuff of this!! Keep it coming!
AND A HAPPY BD to Yoo Bin - best female Asian MC I've heard! DUDE this gave me goosebumps it so dope:

It's so fucking ill, love ladies with that does of 'tude and silliness. and how she does the WOO WOO at the end.

That Yoo Bin video is amazing! That is why she is my favorite WG.
I don't know how I feel about the whole actresses in the U.S. thing. It's cool that they'll be over in America, but it doesn't seem like the best way to gain popularity here, imho. I hope they also continue trying to make it as a music group in the U.S., because they might have something with a little more training. Plus, Perez Hilton likes them...
...So Dai, when are we getting our own subforum!? (Just kidding, just kidding.... kid of... XD)
But, I was in Sydney on her birthday and one of the stores I went to was playing Tell Me and Ibaboh so that kinda makes up for it :P Oh and then I went past a hairdresser and they were playing the Music Core performance on their plasma :w00t:
So I had a wonder-ful weekend XD
I saw that Sun Mi performace JUST before I left the other day and all I could think was when the hell did she grow up and become so...mature... I felt dirty whilst watching it but she kicked arse :D
Pharadox, I think it was you who said a while back that even that you love having a group that you can't really pick a "least fave" for coz they are all so awesome? I totally agree with that now... despite Yoo Bin being my (or every female it seems XD) fave the rest are now so closely matched that I don't care for really putting them in order anymore, especially with my new found love of the MiSo couple
I was trying to avoid this thread for a few days cause my posts always ended up super long.
And Sunmi in that CSJH cover perf... I swear I didn't know it was her at first... >_>
Dude, you would not hear and see Wonder Girls being played, walking down the street here. I'm so jealous. Sydney > Baltimore.Well I was in Chinatown (or at least about a street away) so I guess that makes a difference, but I like to leave that part out :P
Haha. Sun Mi's performance kind of made you wish she was instantly 2 years older though, I bet.Maybe just a little bit
Also, it might have been me that said it. I don't know. But the thing about these girls is they all have something really great to add to the group. With Sun Ye, it's stage presence. She's a pro and she should be. She trained with JYP for 6 years before WG. With Ye Eun, it's her voice and her love and respect for her fans. With Sun Mi, it's her quircky personality (and now apparently her sex appeal.). With Yoo Bin, it's FREAKIN' EVERYTHING BECAUSE SHE IS PERFECT. Okay, she's not, but love is blind. She is one hell of a rapper and she's uber sexy and adorable at the same time. With So Hee, she just draws people in. All she has to do is blink and people fall all over her. They're each so good at what they do that you can't easily choose between them.So true, and that's exactly what makes the dynamic of the WG family so irresistible, fun to watch and addictive... It's not always about Yoo Bin, although it usually is, hehe!
calm down lol

MNet 20's Choice 08.23.08 Wonder Girls & JunJin (http://www.twitter.com/?d=O9LLMJTD)
The Wonder Girls appeared on MBC FM “Starry Night” radio program on 6th October, yesterday hosted by Park Kyung Lim and Kim Shin Young.
The program was 1.5 hours long and Park Kyung Lim asked them to say something and anything they wanted to the other Wonder Girls’ members at the end. Here’s a rough translation by Wonderful wonderkid.
Sun Ye
Um, I don’t know what to say. It’s been more than a year and a half since we’ve started working together. Ehen I look back, we went through a lot together, good and sad experiences. There are a lot of people who cheered us on and helped us come to where we are now..ever since those people cheered us on…we didn’t look back, we just ran straight…and in between this journey, I’ve always felt thankful…. but since we spend so much time together everyday I feel like there were a lot of times when we could not really express our feelings and use common phrases like “thank you,” “I love you,” and “sorry.”
There’s probably going to be a time when we think this is going to be the end of our journey, but instead of these thoughts, I hope we live each day being grateful for our experiences, especially the special experiences we 5 members have together. I wish we can focus on the present rather than worrying about the future. When we first started, we weren’t confident…but when we saw ourselves on stage, sparkling more than anyone else on stage, we all said that in order to sparkle we have to stick together. which is why we share a special bond, and now I feel like we have come to a stage in our relationship when I feel like it’s more awkward when we’re not together.
So from now on, instead of worrying, let’s spend each day looking forward to our everyday experiences by continuing to look out for each other, cheer/support each other, love each other, be thankful to each other, and let’s go through this journey together. I love you so very much.
And as the group leader, there are a lot of things I haven’t done for you guys, so I’m sorry, and I’m sorry I have so much flaws…I’m so sorry..to the other members…thank you. I love you.
Sun Mi
Ever since I entered the group, I feel like time is moving really fast. Maybe it’s because we ran through our journey so fast. I feel like there are a lot things we forgot about and a lot we’ve lost along the way. One by one, let’s find all those things we’ve lost/forgot about and let’s go! What more can say?
I love you. really.
(at the end Yeeun says “Why are you talking to us informally?” *note: technically since she’s younger than most of the members she’s supposed to talk to them using formal language, but she didn’t)
Yoo Bin
I’m the oldest unnie..but I feel like I’m always the one receiving help from you guys. I feel like I get more support and gain more strength from you guys. Despit being the oldest unnie, I feel like I haven’t done anything for you guys so I feel really sorry. I came into the group late but you guys “dragged me” all the way here, so thank you. We’re going to continue to spend a lot of time together so I hope we can be sad together and happy together.
To our leader, Sun Ye, you went through so many hardships..and despite having an older person in the group than you, you do your job as a leader so well, so I’m so thankful. To our Ye Eun, like Sun Ye you pull us together so well. And as a dongseng and as a friend, thanks for being so supportive of me.
To our cutie Sun Mi, when everyone else was tired you would show us your “aegyo” so thanks for taking the role as the “good-atmospere-maker.” And to our So Hee, without a single complaint you followed us. You took care of your unnie, unlike a maknae, you show us your mature side by always taking care of me. thanks. I can’t say anything else but thank you. I love you.
Ye Eun
To our Wonder Girls members whom I love. First of all..more than a year and a half has passed, and during this time we went through a lot of painful experiences and good experiences…but putting that aside I want to thank you guys for sticking together …I think I’m even thankful just for your existence. …really…umm….really ..I know I have a lot of flaws…but I’m always thankful to you guys for filling in those gaps (my flaws)…
we still have a lot more places to go, so let’s not give up now, let’s reach for the very end until we aren’t capable to reach further. ..just like how we are now, let’s help each other, let’s be supportive of each other, be there for each other, and reach til the end, together. I love you.
So Hee
Umm..the people before we talked so well so..um..well, I’m not sure if I was of any strength/ help to the other members, but I’ve gained so much strength from them …It ’s been a short period but it also feels like a long time as well. but I’m so glad and happy we’re going through this together. Even when we are in pain, it’s because of us five members that I think we were able to get though all those tough times. I’m not sure what will happen in the future, or the obstacles that lies in our path but…I hope we all smile and get through this together….
you all..well, I’m the youngest…but I don’t even act cute..so I don’t know…
um…thank you.

Why is Yoo Bin all "I'm going to hide behind the other girls!"? o.O Bad hair day?
Watch watch watch! (http://ningin.com/forums/viewthread/2773/) It's an interview that WG did when they were in the US for the Chuseok Festival in September. They use a surprising amount of English in the interview. :O Ye Eun and Sun Ye seem to be the best. Poor Yoo Bin. She actually lived in the US and went to high school there and seems to be the worst at speaking English. So Hee in English is !! When the interviewer asked who inspires them, So Hee took the mic and was like "Well.. I guess, JY Park?" and had the cutest look on her face. XDwow :O

Netizens are responding with hot interest to Sun Mi singing Lexy’s “Novice” on this week’s “So Yoo Jin’s FM Inkigayo’s Wonder Girls Special” radio show.
On 15th October, the Wonder Girls were captured having “Nobody YaJa-Time NoRaeBang” on “So Yoo Jin’s FM Inkigayo’s radio show. (’NoRaeBang’ is Koreans way of saying ‘karaoke’. ‘YaJa-Time’ is when you ignore age and talk on an equal level with each other. In Korean, there are formal, polite, and informal ways of talking - you decide which to use based on age and status.)
During this time, the Wonder Girls laid down questions to each other using BanMal (informal talk). If someone was unable to gave an inappropriate response or forgot to use BanMal, they had to sing as punishment.
Ye Eun picked out Sun Mi, “Unnie was very hungry and you said you were going to change, 30 minutes passed and the result was that we couldn’t eat.”
Sun Mi explained what happened on the day. Sun Mi said to Ye Eun, “I’m completely hungry”, so she made plans to go out and eat with Ye Eun. However, Sun Mi took around 30 minutes to pick out the clothes and put them on, and the result was that Ye Eun had to go out to eat alone.
During that time, Ye Eun had called out pathetically, “Sun Mi-ya, Unnie is hungry~”. As they were in the midst of moving, the clothes weren’t organized, so mindlessly Sun Mi replied, “You go ahead!”, while picking clothes.
Even though Sun Mi did offer an excuse to Ye Eun’s cross-examination, the rest of the members and host So Yoo Jin sided with Ye Eun. And so the young member, Sun Mi was given the penalty of singing “Novice”.
The response to her singing however was hot and well-received by netizens everywhere, “Why are my eyes and ears so happy like this?”, “The perfectly pretty Sun Mi’s voice”, “Sun Mi, I believe you and you can sing this well”, “I’ve always liked Sun Mi’s mid-tone voice. I wished a lot of people did as well, and then I saw the search standings go up and was happy”.
My classroom will have a lot of WG fans *_*All ur classroom dancing Tell Me.. XDDDD lol idea
 they look cute, but a little too cute. :P

Yoobin, as usual, totally brings me out of my WG lurking habit XD
All this MiSo love, which I can never get enough of, reminds me once again of how upset it makes me that there is no WG fanfics that don't include Big Bang or someone else outside WG  Both you girls who have been livening up this thread can write and write well so make a poor, untalented girl's dream come true why don't ya? :P
Welcome back Pharadox :w00t: boy was this thread lonely without you, I may not have been posting but I was lurking and it just didn't feel right, even if it was only for a short time XD

My favorite is So Hee cuz she's freakin adorablehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKLc2Iw7wr8
The only ones I can actively recognize are So Hee and Yoo Bin. On a side note, Sun Mi looks hot when she's grumpy, even if she's just playing around!! :drool:LOL They were the first two I could distinguish too, mainly coz back then with Tell Me So Hee had such a big part in the MV and Yoo Bin was that uber hot rappin' girl with perty hair and deadly legs XD But even now with the Irony MV I get slightly confused in parts, good thing that song and MV is so freakin' awesome it takes my mind off the confusion real quick
Hmmm, if you're drooling over grumpy Sun Mi, then you need to see little black dress performance of her (if I could remember the song or the others in it I would find it for you but I'm sure someone knows what I mean XD) and Sun Mi with her hair down is total love
^ Hellz yeah that's it... I knew someone would know what I meant if I said little black dress XD
Lucky strawb3rrykream is younger than Sun Mi so she can totally drool over her without feeling dirty like the rest of us  :P
There's too many songs called 'One More Time' in Korea  That's The Grace's song though right?
O...M...G! Sun Mi...so hot... :imdead: I'm so speechless, foreal. :shy2: That dress is gorgeous, but not as gorgeous as the girl wearing it. Her hair does look great down. Ahhhhhhh~~~ :mon star: I can't believe she's so young though. Cuz she looks so mature. :mon inluv:
Ok, I've officially decided that Sun Mi and Ye Eun are my WGs. Those two can come and save me any day~ :mon lovelaff:

I got my tickets for the Wonder girls concert in NYC in the mail today. :Dw00t lucky girl :muffin:
I wish MM would do that and shows like they do in Korea where we get to see their apartment life... only so TakaGaki can share a room and we get to see more of them
The Wonder Girls started with the songs "I Wanna," "Bad Boy" with an umbrella dance routine,"Goodbye" and "So Hot."
The girls had multiple wardrobe changes and put on flawless performances. They even greeted everyone in English, which was very good.
The Wonder Girls then sang "Nobody" in a R&B remix (Rainstone Mix) with white chairs, which was very sultry sexy. They wore black leggings and black tops, then the other backup dancers came out and accessorized them on stage for a cute and colorful "E Babo," "Headache" and "Irony."
2PM also performed a couple of songs including "10 of 10," which made everyone go crazy!
The Wonder Girls came back out in all white dresses and a white grand piano for "Saying I Love You." They included a special message of how they felt towards their fans with the song. It was very touching to hear how genuinely they love their fans and asked if the fans would keep loving them. Aww so sweet~!
Then there was a short video showing the future of the Wonder Girls. They come to America, become a huge sensation, then break up due to professional reasons. All of them go onto more success as Yeeun becomes a cosmetics company mogul, Yubin wins a Grammy, and the funniest one was Sohee, who wins an Oscar for the depiction of a 30-something year old divorcee with Alzheimers!! It would be really interesting to see Sohee act in a movie with such an interesting plot.
The ending showed JYP passing away a few years later, and the girls are re-united after several years of not speaking to one another. A present box containing a clock warps them into the past(?) where they must perform on stage. At Sohee's urging, the girls reluctantly agree to perform once more together on stage for one night only, which leads into their Dream Girls "One Night Only" performance.
Finally the Wonder Girls ended their half of the concert with "Nobody" in a sexy tango version!
JYP came on stage and basically owned the crowd. Anyone who has ever doubted his capabilities will have a total new found respect for this man. He is a performance machine. He performed all of his hit songs like "Honey" and "She was Pretty" without missing a single beat. By the end of his set, he had torn his shirt off! He also had some heartfelt words for the audience about how the ten minutes before he sleeps is the only time he gets for himself every day and that this concert was a year in making, from adding up all those little moments. JYP told the fans that they are the only way he can continue to sing and perform in the coming years. And everyone in the audience promised to keep coming back.
Then the Wonder Girls came back on stage for an encore performance of "Tell Me" with JYP, which looked very cute and fun and a great way to end the night.
Wonder Girls!
선예사랑!
Please let me come inside!
I actually ran to the stage near the end to try and get a chance to touch Ye Eun's hand but failed .
Oh and I was standing through most of JYP's performance...laughing and talking LOL.
The JYP representative said, “I was also shocked when I saw the photos and immediately phone over to New York. This is all an misunderstanding and we had good laugh out of it. SunYe is currently very healthy and is doing well.”
The K-Pop group is best known in Korea for its reality show and single "Tell Me", which caused a dance craze of sorts. Next month, the Wonder Girls are set to make their US debut.http://kotaku.com/5201068/hey-theres-a-ps3-in-my-k+pop-music-video (http://kotaku.com/5201068/hey-theres-a-ps3-in-my-k+pop-music-video)

WonderGirls YooBin speaks up to criticisms, “Whatever anyone says, I’m satisfied with my own body”
WonderGirls YooBin speaks up to the criticisms fired at her lately about her body.
The main screen to her Cyworld Minihompy on the 20th writes, “I will not receive any more hurt. Rather I am thankful for all the concerns! All the criticisms I got at my photo album, no longer recognisable like the mashed red beans inside sweet HoDo cookie.”
YooBin said in her post, “Regarding my body, I think I am still putting on weight. There are many people who like me and cares about me, and I had received many comments of advice and concern. Everyone is curious about my condition. Even though I’m not perfect, I am sufficiently satisfied with my body.”
“Even though I like the trend of being skinny these days, I prefer to have a suitable and healthy body. I am also controlling my diet and doing exercises.“
She also added, “During the ‘Nobody’ days, actually there wasn’t proper managing of my body and health, and my body condition was not good. But with doing a concert now, I have lose some weight and I feel healthy. For people who are looking at me and feels that I am plump and unfit, I am feeling healthy and I like my looks now a lot.“

Family Studies – B+
The tour has been padded out by three opening acts, which is about three too many for most of the younger audience members. Openers Honor Society came across as a nascent Jonas Brothers. The Wonder Girls (“Asia's Newest Superstars”), an oriental mash-up of the Spice Girls and the Supremes, got to do their one big Korean hit Nobody . American Idol winner Jordin Sparks impressed with a handful of seemingly out-of-place slick pop/R&B pieces. Each act got its biggest cheers when it name-checked the JoBros. And Disney compatriot Demi Lovato dropped by mid-set to show everybody else on stage how to sing.
...The Burger King, who appeared in a commercial with the brothers, got more play than the Wonder Girls.
From JYP's twitter:
"If everything goes well u might c all of us 2pm 2am Wondergirls and me in a JYP family tour next fall which means NOT CONFIRMED. Love u guys"
That'd be SO awesome... I hope everything does go well and it happens! I'd totally try to go to one of the concerts *__*
Did anybody do that preorder thing for WG's album? I heard it went pretty quick for the autograph cd and laptop cover.
What crazy technique!!! Who is this? Sun Ye?
Yeah man, Yoobin gave Uee some love because she was pretty upset about that, understandably. And yeah, Sun Ye is totally pitching. Same style as Yuri has!
South Korea's Wonder Girls made history this week by becoming the first Korean singers to chart on the United States' Billboard Hot 100, and the pop group is eyeing the lucrative Chinese market next.
The girl band's hit single "Nobody" entered the chart at number 76, putting them ahead of Carrie Underwood (#77), Five for Fighting (#83) and Usher (#92).
A press release by the group's agency JYP Entertainment said Thursday this is the first time any Koreans has ever placed on the chart in all its 115-year history.
The Billboard rankings are determined by an artiste's number of airplays, album sales, as well as digital downloads.
Earlier this week, an airplay analysis chart by music website Mediabase showed that the Wonder Girls' airplay ranking improved 16 spots week-on-week to the 107th position after "Nobody" was played 65 times by radio stations across America in the week October 12-18.
Reports said "Nobody" also outsold singles by pop stars Madonna and Shakira, with over 30,000 copies off the shelves in the same week.
The five-piece girl group also toured with popular US boyband Jonas Brothers as their opening act for 53 concerts.
With success in America, and parts of Asia already under their charm, the Wonder Girls are looking to conquer the massive Chinese market next.
The band will be making its foray into China later this month during the Mobile Festival in Beijing, alongside other famous faces such as Jackie Chan and Zhang Ziyi.
"Nobody" was originally released in the girls' native language Korean, and later remade into English for their US debut. This time, the hit single will undergo a third release – in Mandarin – for the Wonder Girls' venture into China.
5 Things to Know About The Wonder Girls

Wondering who The Wonder Girls are? Already a pop phenomenon in Asia, the South Korean pop quintet – which includes members Sun, 20, Yenny, 20, Mimi, 17, Yubin, 21, Sohee, 17 – is making a splash in the U.S. with their infectious bubblegum pop tunes.
Their first single titled "Nobody" landed on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, making them the first group from South Korea to make such a mark in the U.S. But tween girls know them as the group that shared the stage with the Jonas Brothers this past summer.
Here are five fun facts about these five fresh-faced females:
1. They're tight with the JoBros:
The girl group lived the dream of tween girls everywhere: They spent almost two months with the Jonas Brothers as their opening act for the U.S. leg of their 2009 world tour. The girls bonded with the brothers on the road to the point that Joe has been spotted wearing the Wonder Girls shirt, and on Sun's birthday in August, the rock trio bought her a cake (cue adoring sighs). At the time, Sun tweeted, "The guys came to me and wished me a happy bday w/a gorgeous cake! Thank you to the Jonas Brothers for making my bday so special!!"
2. Their manager was a '90s megastar:
The man behind the group is a star in his own right. Singer-songwriter J.Y. Park became a K-pop sensation in the 1990s, releasing seven albums. He later opened an intensive music school called JYP Academy in Seoul where all five Wonder Girls studied before forming the group.
3. They are reality TV veterans:
The girls have already conquered the small screen. MTV Asia created a reality show about them called MTV Wonder Girls, which followed the group in their everyday lives. Also, Sun was the winner of the Korean equivalent of American Idol called Special Project: Developing a Genius before joining the Wonder Girls as the group's de facto leader.
4. They started an online dance craze:
Their popularity in Asia peaked when the video for their 2007 single "Tell Me" sparked a viral dance craze and inspired fans began to post their own renditions of the moves.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlHv3BbBv6A (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlHv3BbBv6A)
5. Yes, they like dressing alike:
With their '60s style bobs and doo-wop wardrobe, these sweet-faced girls embrace a retro-Motown vibe. The band told instyle.com that their main fashion inspirations are timeless style icons like Twiggy to Audrey Hepburn.

Another chance to get autographed CD's for those that missed the first pre-order sale.
But today in an interview with Billboard.com, JYP revealed that the girls would return with a full blown concert in January 2011!
It was revealed that the girls would be having their own concert in six cities across the states. Wonder Girls leader Sun (Sunye) commented about her American debut saying, "At first, singing in English was difficult. However, I think the experience has helped me improve." Fellow member Yenny (Yeeun) also said, "I do miss Korea, but I'm happy that we have the chance to show ourselves to America."
On Wednesday, Dec. 9 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), Season Eight AMERICAN IDOL winner Kris Allen and pop sensations Wonder Girls will take the stage. Allen will perform his newest single, “Live Like You’re Dying,” and Wonder Girls will sing their hit song, “Nobody,”
...
...
...
Pop sensation Wonder Girls sold over 30,000 copies of their debut single “Nobody” during the week of October 11 earning them the No. 76 position with a bullet on the Hot 100. This is the first time ever a music group from South Korea has debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Already a hit in Asia, the Wonder Girls are striking a chord with a young U.S. audience, having just completed their first U.S. concert tour with the Jonas Brothers.
^ This is amazing news, but on the other hand, it'll seem like they're outclassed by the dancers. Downside to the simplicity of syndrome dances. They should mix it up, like with the Tango version, the Golden Disc remix, or even part 2 of the Futuristic remix.
But damn, Papa Jonas has got the connections to land them this gig!
This is so fucking awesome. Hell, the entire remix album is fucking awesome.

Wonder Girls Collaborate With Famed Producer Dave Stewart
Korean girl band Wonder Girls will be collaborating with famed producer Dave Stewart for their U.S. debut album [Feb 2010], according to the producer's official twitter page.
On Saturday, Stewart posted on his twitter page a photograph he took with the Wonder Girls and revealed a demo of their single "Always Without Me", which will be included in the group's debut album.
"Dave Stewart will be participating on the Wonder Girls' debut album in the U.S., which will be released early next year," an official at agency JYP Entertainment was quoted as saying. "'Always Without Me' is one of the three songs that he produced for Wonder Girls."
The official quoted the members of the girl band saying that they were honored and excited to work with such a famous producer.
Stewart, an English musician, is best known as the member and producer of popular 1980s band Eurythmics. Some of his well-known hits are "Sweet Dreams(Are Made of This)", "Here Comes the Rain Again" and "Would I Lie to You?" He also produced albums for other successful artists, such as Aretha Franklin's "Whos Zoomin' Who" and Tom Petty's "Southern Accents".
Wonder Girls, who debuted in Korea in 2007, is one of the most successful pop groups in Korea with three consecutive No. 1 singles, "Tell Me", "So Hot", and "Nobody". In October, the group's U.S. debut single "Nobody" entered the Billboard Hot100 at No. 76, making them the first Korean artists to be placed on the chart in its 115-year history.
They recently wrapped up a concert in China and are scheduled to appear on popular U.S. dance show "So You Think You Can Dance" on December 9.
I'm...half-watching. I've got the TV on, but muted right now. If not for Pop's request to watch for the Wonder Girls, I wouldn't be watching this, as these dancing shows bore me to tears. That seriously means a lot to me, thank you! I obviously can't watch it like you guys (and I wasn't home so I couldn't watch the livestream either) so knowing people like you are watching & supporting makes me feel like indirectly I am

Because of the fan’s support we were able to live day after day in America with thanks… and learn so much!
All five of us have spent a long time discussing because of this news.
For the promise of her fans and the promise to herself, Sunmi has thought over this issue a lot, that is why it took her
even longer to make this decision.
Because this was such a hard decision, just like the fans we are also very sad but
We hope you respect Sunmi’s decision..^^ because this must have been a hard decision for Sunmi…
But because our love for Sunmi will never change, we hope everyone’s care and love for Sunmi does not change.

K-pop quintet Wonder Girls formally foray into Mandopop with the release of the “Best Collection” CD-DVD album in Taiwan on Feb. 12.
The album will include the Mandarin versions of “Nobody,” “So Hot,” and “Tell Me” and 13 other songs and music videos.
Taiwanese radio station FM92.1 UFO has started playing the Mandarin version of the hit song “Nobody” on Feb. 1.
However, the Wonder Girls will be promoting the album without Sunmi, who will leave the group by March to continue her studies in South Korea.
JYP Entertainment announced Sunmi’s withdrawal from the group last Jan. 22.
Wonder Girls Keep Doors Open for Mimi
Four members of the Wonder Girls - Sun, Yenny, Yubin and Sohee, had a meeting with fans' representative at 2pm on 8th of February at JYP Entertainment headquarters in Seoul.
The Wonder Girls explained that initially they felt panic over Mimi's decisions and asked Mimi not to give up. They got into long discussions among themselves to decide what is best for Mimi before informing the management about Mimi's decision to withdraw from Wonder Girls.
During the meeting, the girls also mentioned that the choice to leave was Mimi's and they have to respect her decision. The girls also stated that they would be responsible if they hold on to Mimi and she regrets it later.
As for the new member, Hae Lim, the girls told the fans to give her time and be supportive towards her as it is not possible for Hae Lim to fill the void left by Mimi, whom they have been practicing and performing with for the past 4 to 5 years.
On Mimi's withdrawal, the Wonder Girls stressed that Mimi will discontinue her activities only but not quitting her musical career. In the future, if Mimi wishes to be part of Wonder Girls again, they will always be ready to accept her anytime.
In reply to the question "why must it be a 5-person group ?", the girls responded that it is possible to have a 6-member group if Mimi wants to return to Wonder Girls in the future. However, having a 4-member group will pose problems for the line-up as it will be impossible to fill up the void left by Mimi.
Besides that, the fans were anxious to know why Mimi did not return to South Korea with the rest of the members. In reply to this, the girls stated that both Mimi and fans would be sad if she was to meet fans who want her to stay on.
Wonder Girls debuted on the 10th of February 2007. OMGKPOP would like to take this opportunity to wish Wonder Girls a happy 3rd anniversary!
I haven't seen any of the fancams of the event but Sunmi actually seemed very cheerful meeting all the fans.
Saw a fancam of the event earlier, Sun Mi looked kinda down, like she was in thought a lot, maybe realising times running out *huggles beautiful Sun Mi*
PIMPIN!! what was that actually - meet and greet. The way y'all dressed looks like a press conference. It doesn't seem like an H-Mart (I'm guessing grocery store) lol
 the guy in the back was just some random?
And the dude in the back was some guy that just ninja'd in. It wouldn't be too hard to photoshop him out. I've been thinkin about it lol...
My Wonder Girls love will never die  Nice pics pops!I did.
Anyone else pickin up the HK/TW special edition album?
WonderGirls comeback in Korea in April
WonderGirls who have been away from the Kpop scene for some time to promote in the States will be back on the Korean performing stage this year.
Coming April, WonderGirls will be releasing their first full-length album in the States, and will be doing a ‘Korea-America-Asian’ promotions for it.
A representative revealed on the 19th, “Currently the girls are working on the new album, and it will include their hit songs like ‘Nobody’ as well as 4~5 new song. In addition, the girls will be recording a Korean version to the title song for fans in Korea.”
And about whether the girls will be promoting the Korean version of the title song, the rep said, “Korea is included in part of the promotions for their new album. And we are seeing that they will be promoting in Korea for a longer time than in other countries for the song.”
Currently the WonderGirls are promoting their hit song ‘Nobody’ in the States, as well as in China.
Meanwhile, member SunMi will be leaving the team and heading back to Korea to prepare for her college life in March, while JYP trainee HyeRim will be joining as new member.

May 11, 2010 — Wonder Girls will be launching their newest album 2 DIFFERENT TEARS live via UStream,to be broadcasted in English, Korean, and Chinese!
The event will take place at the
Conga Room in Los Angeles, CA in May 15th, 2010 (5PM PST/8PM EST)
Hi, this is Sunye of Wonder Girls.
I’m writing because I came across a heartbreaking news while preparing for our comeback.
First… I would like to say that what the English tutor have mentioned is not true.
Especially the story about my father. It is a bit upsetting that personal issues of my family was brought up publicly.
My father was suffering from a long-term illness and few months ago, he was rushed to the hospital when it suddenly worsened.
Upon hearing the news, I immediately flew from New York to Korea to visit my father,
and it so happened that other members were to return to Korea after a week in order to attend an event set up in Korea.
I watched after my father for a week and thankfully he got better, so after consulting his doctor I was able to attend the scheduled event.
He had the illness for almost 20 years, and it wasn’t something that could be dealt with immediately,
so after seeing that he got better, I could settle my mind and return to performing.
Regarding other things he was worried about…
When Sunmi was still not well after receiving a surgery in Korea and flying to New York, although she was against it,
because of our opinion and the company’s opinion she visited hospital frequently until she was fully cured.
We had no trouble with going to hospital over even little things like problems with our skin.
JYPE does not set limit on us entering and exiting the building,
and the JYPE building that we live in was a residence for students before we moved in.
Coming to the US was a matter that we decided upon carefully after receiving the company’s proposal,
and after an year here, the life at New York is fun and we’re thankful, we’ve been seeing and experiencing so many new things.
Even we are finding it hard to understand the points that the English tutor made,
and I decided to write this myself as it is just so heartbreaking for us, who are preparing for a comeback soon.
We have told all these to the company,
and they will take good care of this situation so don’t worry!
We promise that whatever happens, we will tell the truth.
We thank everyone for showing that you care for us,
and we will visit you with our new song “2 Different Tears”!
Thank you!
Let me say just one thing. One day, while recording, I said that I felt a cold coming on and he gave me a bottle of vitamins and told me to always take one vitamin everyday. Then, on another day, he bought five jars of organic honey and told me to always eat one spoonful every morning. Because it was good for my throat. When it was my birthday, you wrote me a heartfelt message on a puppy card you handpicked yourself. This is the kind of “unjust” treatment that we have received. It is because we were unable to give back that much in return.
@followjyp JY, u said the truth always wins and i believe that cuz u said so. just hope u know that we are here for u as u’ve always been.
@followjyp and we love you..! :)
holy sheeeeeeeeeeet. I can't believe I'm gonna see the Wonder Girls LIVE next week! :D :D :D :D
http://www.allkpop.com/2010/05/wonder-girls-bid-farewell-with-2-different-tears-on-music-core (http://www.allkpop.com/2010/05/wonder-girls-bid-farewell-with-2-different-tears-on-music-core)I agree. They're trying too hard to make it big in US and forgetting Korea where they have the biggest fanbase. Ofc it would be great if they'd hit it off in US but I'm not sure if US is ready for the kpop artists. About the album, I too was kinda expecting more than just a one new song and 'remix' versions of the old songs. I like 2 different tears but they should've made more songs...
WHOA WTF Ending promotions already??? I understand that the focus of JYP now may be making it big in the US market, but can't it eventually hurt them in the korean market, which is most of their fanbase, if they do such little promo there? On top of that with such a bleh comeback after all the expectation from fans and after the whole Sunmi issue... Oh well, I guess most groups go through some weird times.

Hello
This is Wonder Girls’ Sunye..^^
Through the love and sympathy of many people I was able to send my father on his last path on this ground with thankful tears..
The reason why I am writing this right now is
Before the immense feeling of thankfulness I’ve felt over the past few days decreases just a little bit
I really wanted to express this feeling of thanks..
I was able to warmly feel with my heart again during this time how happy of a person I am and how much love I am receiving..
The Lord probably knew even the small part of me and didn’t want to give me time to be sad so I think he sent all these people to help me..
Really because of that I was able to not fall down or give up and was able to gain more strength and end it well..
I also thank the press that communicated the news about my father..
Honestly in the beginning I felt a bit burdened but thanks to the press a lot of precious people I have lost contact with, I was able to reunite with
and they came and comforted me as well.. and although I have the job of being a celebrity..
I am really thankful to all the reporters that kept their manners on personal matters until the end..!
And all the fans that always cheer me on
Thank you for coming and comforting me..
I was really moved by your warm hearts..^^
I am sorry that I wasn’t able to attend to each person more..
And more than anything.. there are people that I really want to express my thanks to in public..
From the moment that the news about my father spread until now, our JYPE family that took the most care of me..
It’s been 10 years this year since I have entered JYPE…
Right now..It is not possible for me to not admit that auditioning for JYPE was one of the most thankful things that happened to me during my 22 years..
I don’t know how lucky and thankful I am that I can do what I love in this family-like environment…
I almost feel sorry for having this luck..I am really thankful..
Ever since my father was at Asan hospital, it was where he wanted to be treated..
To my company that helped us hold the funeral there..thank you so much..!!
And changing my schedule in advance in case I worry about it.. and the managers that stayed up all night staying with me..
You really suffered a lot.. And more than anything..my members that I love that flew back as soon as they arrived when they heard the news.. Thank you so much and I love you..^^
I am receiving all this love..
I am just a very small person.. but I am being blessed this much..
I felt a lot through the people that prayed for me.. Even though I can’t show everything in person that I can do
I feel like I’m giving back the best I can by always praying with the lips I was given
Because I’m weak I make mistakes and often fail but I will be strong and work hard through all the strength I’m given through your support and prayers..!
Again, I’m thankful to everyone that worried for me..
And I hope lots of love will be sent to the ‘Korea Respiration Trouble Association’ that my father depended on a lot..
Again, I’m thankful to everyone who helps my father be able to be proud of his daughter from heaven..
I will always pray..Thank you..^^
If you think that Wonder Girls are just popular in Asia and North America, well, think again, because the Hallyu wave has reached even South America as well.
There has been a video garnering interest lately of a Brazilian pageant, Miss Distrito Federal 2010, with all the beauty queen wannabes dancing to Wonder Girls' claim to fame song, Nobody, during the trajo de banho or bathing suit competition.
What is surprising is that all the contestants are accurately performing the key hand gestures of the song! Plus, the version to which they performed is not even the English version but the Korean version of the song. To understand what this means, please watch the short clip below: [video in dai's post]
FYI, Miss Distrito Federal is a pageant to which the Federal District will select its representative for Miss Brazil. It is like a regional qualifying pageant for the national pageant.
Truly, this only proves that the K-Pop craze is all over the world. Props to Wonder Girls for being one of the most successful Hallyu global ambassadors!

My eyes suck. Can't tell if it's of better quality.
I hope it's not horribly awkward.... ;_;
Last announcement is in regards to the plans for U.S. activities.
After the Wonder Girls TV movie has been aired through TeenNick, we have been receiving proposals
from the major broadcasting companies in the United States.
Therefore, we are in the middle of arbitration for the proposals we have received.
As of now, our goal is to start implementing U.S. activities as soon as the plans for the TV-related project is finalized. We plan to utilize this project as a marketing tool for the release of the new album.
^ If you use the long youtube url, the forum auto-embeds the video. The short form doesn't work. :P

As for the mv and song, as a friend during ages long past said: "Well, the girls look hot." Yeah. That's about it really. Some nice visuals, song's nothing spectacular. I didn't know this was just a new version of an older song from their movie... well, pretty sure it's destined to be forgotten after a few spins. Unlike...
Like this, yo, like this~
I don't know any of the girl's name sadly though. except So Hee. And that is because I saw her in Running Man. She was very awkward in the show...in a funny way. xD
