Chapter 9 – You're going too
As Atsuko was walking back towards her office, she noticed Minami and Haruna bickering just in front of the door.
“Just go! You obviously want to see her!” Minami was yelling at Haruna.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Atsuko smiled, sidestepped the two arguing pair and walked into her office. Minami and Haruna continued their bickering while following Atsuko into her office.
Atsuko grabbed her pad and pen and started scribbling something.
“Atsuko, help me out here.” Minami said.
Atsuko smiled, “I am.”
“Huh?!?” said in unison by Haruna and Minami.
“I hereby order Kojima Haruna to accompany Commander Takahashi and Watanabe Mayu as representatives of Aikuchi Kingdom at the upcoming Kiuchi party.” Atsuko said in a straight face. She grabbed her seal from the drawer and stamped the piece of paper with the note she had just written.
She looked up at Haruna with a mischievous smile. A smile neither Minami nor Haruna has seen in a long time.
Atsuko handed the paper to Haruna, “Here you go.”
“Atsuko! Not you too!” Haruna whined, reluctantly accepting the order.
“I guess you’re going.” Atsuko winked at Haruna.
“Atsuko…” Minami couldn’t believe what just happened. Atsuko nodded slightly at Takamina.
“Haruna, you better go pack. Don’t forget to bring pretty clothes!” Atsuko laughed.
Haruna stuck out her tongue at Atsuko, “It sucks when your best friend is the Lord!” and stomped out of Atsuko’s office.
*Haruna’s Office*
Haruna set down at her desk and sighed. She wrapped her hands around the locket that Yuko had given her.

"I'm leaving for Kiuchi Kingdom tonight." Yuko said with a serious face to Haruna. A face that Haruna has rarely seen.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Haruna finally asked after blanking out for a moment with confusion.
"I've accepted Lord Minegishi's offer to help them build a proper medical system. They really need help over there." Yuko replied.
"What? How...how's that possible?" Haruna quickly asked back and stood closer to Yuko.
Yuko didn't reply, she lowered her head to avoid Haruna's glaze.
"What about Lord Maeda's offer to run the new state hospital? Weren't you so excited about it? You were jumping up and down non stop about how you're looking forward our future." Haruna started to shout at Yuko as tears streamed down her face.
"I spoke to Lord Maeda this morning and apologized for not accepting his gracious offer." Yuko answered without looking at her.
Haruna grabbed Yuko's shoulder. "Did something happen? Did my parents do something? Did they say something to you?"
Yuko shook her head.
"Then why Yuko? What are you leaving? What are you leaving me? Don't you love me anymore?" Haruna continued to fire questions at Yuko.
Yuko took a step away from Haruna and looked at her. "I'm sorry Haruna. I have to go."
Yuko turned around and left the room.
Haruna fell to the ground.

Haruna gripped the locket harder.
"You liar....you promised me you would always be with me Yuko..."
Haruna laid further back into her chair as the tears flowed down her face.

That completes the story arc in Aikuchi. The gang heads to the party kingdom next.
It's been a year since my last update. I promise, you won't have to wait as long for the next updates. I started this story when the Teams were still Takahashi Team A, Akimoto Team K and Kashiwagi Team B, the teams were then shuffled in 2012 and another shuffle is coming up. I gotta finish up this story before all my main characters graduate from AKB. LOL
