I dunno if this is the same thing as the turtle thing, but the latest Tsunku TV* (http://www.tsunku.net/t_tv_info.htm) has a report on some new thing with Tokito Ami, Mari and 3 Eggs 諸塚, 橋本, 秋山 (Morotsuka, Hashimoto, Akiyama). It shows them rehearsing for something (a musical?) called "Cry For Help" (running from 2 - 16 August) and shows them rehearsing the dance for the song and you hear a bit of the song. I looked it up and it's a Tokito Ami song called "Sora Kara Cry For Help" including Mari & Eggs and the weird thing is websites give the release date as 2006.07.12. This hasn't been released yet, right? Or did it somehow pass me by.

I watched all of Sentou no Musume and thought it was great, even though I didn't understand a lot of it. I only saw one episode of Gal Circle (and some Mari clips cut from a couple of other episodes) and she wasn't in it very much. The episodes were such huge files and coupled with the small amount of Mari screentime I didn't consider it worth downloading any more than the one episode I saw.

The Hugh Jackman interview from `Yaguchi Hitori' was so funny! :) I laughed so hard and I really felt sorry for Mari.
I just wish that more episodes were subtitled so that we can enjoy them more often.

After watching the recent Maru C (the spider episode), I'm convinced Marippe and Gekidan Hitori are secretly dating. Watch Mari closely when she says "today I was really dead or alive" to Hitori at the end of the spider segment, or check out how Hitori obviously fakes that he can't see the ghost in the picture to get Mari lean in closer to point it out. :P Mari seemed rather determined when she mentioned during her book release that she'd like to be married before she's 25 and that's less than half a year away.
I just see so much chemistry between the two on the show, and he can really make her laugh. A woman loves a man that can make her laugh right? :lol: I understand that it's a tv show, that it might all just be on a professional level, and that the chemistry they display is just for show business. But they've been working together almost three years now that there's bound to be some intimate feelings to develop right?
Maybe I'm looking into it too much because the only exposure I get of Mari these days is mainly through watching Yaguchi Hitori. Oh well... if they do end up hooking up, I think they'd make a cute couple :heart:

In a recent blog update, Yaguchi writes that she discovered during the Famitsu interview that there have been comments that she totally looks like a character in Final Fantasy XIII.

i didn't know she was in a serious relationship XDDitto. Last I remember, around a year to a year and a half ago she was supposed to have been spotted going on what appeared to be a couple of dinner dates with some unknown/unidentified guy.

Former Morning Musume leader Mari Yaguchi, 27, attended a press event this week to promote the opening of her restaurant in Roppongi as part of the Onyasai shabu shabu chain.
Yaguchi, who was also leader of Minimoni - a group formed in 2000 by three girls from Morning Musume who were under 150 cm tall at the time, got stuck into the sublime Japanese beef the chain offers at low prices, and some of the 24 varieties of Japanese-produced salads and vegetables.
Yaguchi said she has been a customer of Onyasai for a long time and had gone there about once a week, finally deciding to get in on the action and open her own store - customizing the cutlery, interior design and some items on the menu.
She said she had included a large number of private booths and a reporter asked her if she would go on a date there. Yaguchi replied that she didn’t want to become prey for the mass media, but said she was very excited about the restaurant and will have to wait and see.
The Onyasai shabu shabu chain has more than 200 stores nationwide, and to mark the opening of the Roppongi store, all stores will be offering their 490 yen plates of Japanese beef for 100 yen until March 25 (limited to one plate and excluding lunch time.)

私は無事です。

Former Morning Musume singer Mari Yaguchi, 30, has apologized for having an illicit affair. Yaguchi apologized for the misdeed on her regular TV show this week.
Josei Seven magazine reported on Tuesday that Yaguchi’s husband, actor Masaya Nakamura, 27, had come home one day in February and found Yaguchi in bed with Kenzo Umeda, a 25-year-old model. Nakamura and Yaguchi have been living separately since then.
Meanwhile, Umeda has deleted his Twitter account, as well as his personal blog.

I don't think it's fair or right to blame Yaguchi for "casting a shadow over another graduation"...I mean, yeah, this wouldn't be an issue if she didn't cheat in the first place, but come on, the incident happened in February and it's only now that the news broke out; I really don't think such timing was her choice, especially since it's her private life. I'm sure she'd rather not have anyone know about this at all.I think it's rather fair to blame Yaguchi... Because ever since joining this business, it's become her responsibility to not only think of herself when making choices, but to think of others it might affect. And this is what she's been really bad at because her carelessness has lead to bringing negativity to two MM graduations already. No other member, current or past, has managed that, even if others have had their share of scandals (Nacchi, Aibon, Goto?). Is it fair for her to carry this responsibility? In the end the it's not asking much; I think it's fair to expect someone to act like a decent human being whether they're a celebrity or not, and she hasn't been doing that. We're not expecting miracles from her, just not cheating on her fucking husband would be a good start. Other people like Rika-chan, Yossi, Kei-chan etc. have been able to hold on to this responsibility, so clearly it's not an impossible task to live reasonably.

So blame the newspapers for trying to overshadow the graduation. Again, the incident happened months ago and they're only reporting it now; what about their responsibility? If this is so newsworthy why wasn't it reported sooner? It's clear that someone wants to throw a wrench into H!P's current momentum, but it's not Mari. The idea that this is some kind of plot on her part to steal someone else's thunder is what I'm trying to argue against.
And I have to call 'bullshit' on the idea that men get punished for having affairs and that somehow society has been fooled into totally accepting that women are okay when they commit adultery. Women, by far, get hit heavily with the 's_ut' card all the time, whereas men are excused for 'just being a man'.

Indeed. It's a sad truth of our society that infidelity is looked upon/treated differently depending on if the (for lack of a better term) "culprit" is a man or woman. Unfortunately for Mari, this is the result of the choices she made. We don't know if her marriage was in trouble before or after she started having the affair, whether or not Nakamura was a good husband or not; at this point, even if we found out, the whole thing would probably be moot for a lot of people.
