Vengence ended with almost every champion retaining (WTF?)

the only changes were the ECW Championship which went to Johnny Nitro following a substitution since Chris Benoit couldn't make it
and the Women's championship, which went to Candice Michelle

RIP Chris Benoit (1967-2007)

In sadder news, Chris Benoit and his family has died, now if this is real and not a plot device as the McMahon this is, then this is a really sad day for pro wrestling

Instead of its announced programming for tonight on USA Network, WWE will air a three-hour tribute to Chris Benoit.

Chris was beloved among his fellow Superstars, and was a favorite among WWE fans for his unbelievable athleticism and wrestling ability. He always took great pride in his performance, and always showed respect for the business he loved, for his peers and towards his fans. This is a terrible tragedy and an unbearable loss.

WWE extends its sincere condolences and prayers to the Benoit family and loved ones in this time of tragedy.

I thought the Chris Benoit death was another supposed storyline, but now I see it's reported on various other sources, as opposed to just WWE.com. This is so sad. I hardly watch wrestling nowadays, but Benoit was always one of my favourites. And his family as well. This is just tragic. My sincere condolences to Benoit's family and other loved ones in this difficult time.

Apparently he flew home because his wife and son were taken very ill, but for Benoit and both of them to end up dead the next morning.... it makes no sense to me... I'm so upset.

Damn what a shock. I was first told that Chris Benoit died, but then later told that his wife and son died too and that became more of a shock. RIP Chris...you are/were one of my favorite wrestlers.

RIP Chris Benoit.. Let's not forget his wife Nancy, best known as the valet "Woman" in WCW, and that beautiful boy he was so proud of. Wrestling has lost one of its true legends.

My cousin and I have been wrestling fans for a very long time, and many a week we'd sit around watching WWE just hoping that Benoit, Guerrero, or Lance Storm were wrestling. Many special memories in my life have been spent in front of the tube watching the TV shows or the pay per views with dad and my cousin. Thanks, Chris. You were constantly the highlight of the night. You'll be missed.

Edge broke down and cried, CM Punk same thing, even Triple H had come out to say a few words

theres nothing I could add that hasn't already been said, benoit has had an amazing career, ECW, WCW, WWE, getting championships all over the place, sucks that he's gone

i hope he's watching this memorial episode and can see how his peers and fans felt

I can't even watch this RAW. My favorite matches was when he was chopping and cross facing with Angle over and over as Angle suplexed him and ankle locked.

Just saw this on my local news.
Its believed that Benoit shot and killed his wife, then his son, and turned the gun on himself.
