Ah, my writing skills are getting rustier...
Anyway, here's my first fic for my fresh new ship~!
This ship was kinda okay to me at first, but a certain Facebook post made me add them to my personal ships.
And by the way, ChibiRine-senpaaai! Am I doing this RenaKei thing right


Private Event

It was the night of Rena Matsui's final handshake event.
Relaxed that Jurina was starting to calm down with the topic of her graduation, and having nothing else to do, she communicated with a few of her juniors who were close with NMB48 members and managed to track down where Kei Jonishi lived.

She was to visit Kei's place for the first time by the next day, and obviously, she was nervous. She was going there as a surprise, even.

She thought it a bit through, and decided that she should give something to her NMB admirer as an apology for not noticing her feelings for her any time sooner.

Rena heaved a sigh, hoping to relieve her of her stress.
She clutched her phone in her hands, bearing the exact instructions on how to get to Kei's.

She stood in front of a tall apartment with many windows from many rooms.
She wondered if she could find which Kei's room was.

She proceeded in walking through the apartment entrance, when she heard her name being called.

"If it isn't Rena Matsui-san!"

The girl turned her head to where the voice came from and found Ex-NMB Nana Yamada.
Rena flashed her a smile and greeted back, and around the same time, asked for Kei's room number.

Finally glad to have the struggle of finding the room out of her chest, all that was left now was the main event.

She made her way from the stairs to her desginated corridor, cursing at herself a little bit when she realized she could've used the elevator.

When she stood by the said door, all the nervousness Rena felt doubled.

She knocked once.
Twice.
Thrice.

The door opened.

"Rena-san?"

The short lizard-lover appeared, clad in a plain green shirt and a pair of shorts.

Rena did a fist pump in her mind, glad that Kei had her time off too.

"How did you get here?"

The tall girl pursed her lips nervously, "By a train."

A stupid reply, if she says so herself.

Kei suppressed a giggle and let Rena in.

"So, Rena-senpai. How was the handshake event last night?" Kei asked, settling herself in a comfy position on her couch in front of Rena.

That was it.
The question Rena was waiting for.

"It's not over yet," she replied.

She stood up and approached Kei, holding her arms out to her as if the younger girl was a fan at a handshake event. But in Rena's case, she wasn't just an ordinary fan.

"What's this supposed to be?" Kei grinned confusedly.

"Could you um... stand up..?"

Kei did as her senior told her to do and stood up, still a bit clueless.

"This is my final handshake event, and I wouldn't want my number one fan to miss it."

"But I thought your handshake event was finished?"

"Well," Rena pursed her lips again and led her eyes astray for a bit, "Think of this as a private event."

Kei did nothing but smile.
She didn't quite believe the luck she received.

She allowed her own hands to be enveloped by the warmth of Rena's as she shook her hand.

Half a minute passed, and they were still holding hands.

"I think it's already been five seconds," Kei blinked at her senior, who was still looking at her in an extravagant fashion.

"Let's wait for five more," Rena smiled.
