a classic. The Allman Brothers is my favorite group of all time. If you like jam/blues/instrumental music this is the group for you. Duane is the one cookin from 5:20 on.

Been listening to the works of Yosi Horikawa, an Osaka-born sound designer, lately. Very original instrumental/electronic/field recording stuff with amazing variety between songs. It was really hard for me to pick a few examples, so check out the man's amazing work on his bandcamp and soundcloud pages:

This piece is a collabaration between Ravi Shankar and Philip Glass, produced in 1990.
