She's very very pretty. I love the way she smiles and I also really like her hair too.
I think she is quite a talented singer and dancer but as much as it pains to admit I think you're right about her not doing anything all that interesting. I dunno if she doesn't get a chance to speak up or if she is just timid but the french speaking episode of AKBingo she was interesting to watch.

Yeah, the French ep was funny, but she didn't get to say much. iirc, she was also in the "Infinity" musical, but she didn't get a big part.
The show that gave her the most exposure was the AKB 1/48 (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=22707.0) show. She went shopping and to an anime store with Nakayan. Nakayan sorta stole the spotlight from her, even during Chiichan's shopping bit.
Aw well, I still have high hopes for the PB because her Verbatim set was great :inlove:

When Nakayan gets excited about something and they give her screen time, it's hard to get her to stop talking. :lol: I think Chiichan is just timid and really really easy going because she was also doing some kind of interview with Amina and Amina pretty much did all the talking.

I thought it was the opposite. :? Maybe she's just so beautiful that people are a little intimidated when they actually see her. :inlove: I heard she is quite stunning IRL.
She probably isn't more popular because she doesn't have some silly gimmick like the other girls do or because she's not a front girl. :(

In all honesty, I like Chiichan, but she's not gonna make top 40 with that video. It's plain. For the past years, a lot of people don't notice her... this would've been a good chance to do something a bit more wacky... a bit more crazy... She may not be the type to do so, but she's gotta try something if she wants to move up.

I first noticed Chiichan during the French lesson episodes on AKBingo. I loved the way she looked. Super cute.
Sadly, in the next years she completely disappeared off the radar. She had a shot to promote herself in 1/48 alongside Nakayan, but it didn't work out. In fact, she proved she wasn't the sort of girl I thought she was. Which is fine, of course, but it didn't help my Chiichan fandom.
Her PB (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=27082.msg885352#msg885352) was actually quite decent, but I doubt most casual fans will know that she one, and maybe don't even know who she is in the first place. Mousa isn't doing a very good job at promoting their idols and I don't think Chiichan will have a bright future in AKB48. :oops:
Whatever happens, I hope she can find something she'll be happy with. I wouldn't mind seeing some more gravure :P

Chiichan is one of those girls who I often forget is even in AKB48. She gets very little work that I see as a foreign fan. However, I do find her somewhat memorable those times I do see her. She is rather pretty, and I like what little I get to see of her personality. She comes off kinda cool, in a normal girl next door kind of way. All I can really say about her is those times I do see her around, I pay attention and walk away entertained, but not necessarily impressed. I'm fine with that, I guess. :thumbup

AKB48's Nakata Chisato to stop her activities for a while due to pleurisy

On May 29, it was announced on AKB48's official site that a member Nakata Chisato would stop her activities for a while due to pleurisy.
Nakata has been absent from the group's activities since the middle of May because of her poor health condition, but according to the announcement, she was recently diagnosed with pleurisy, and she will need 1~2 months to recover.
Therefore, she will not be able to participate in any of the group's activities which include the upcoming "AKB48 37th SIngle Senbatsu General Election" on June 7, and the live concert on June 8.
