Ishiguro Aya was one of the original five girls of Morning Musume, along with Asuka, Yuko, Kaori, and Nacchi. She was also a member of Tanpopo's first generation, along with Kaori and Mari. She graduated late 1999/early 2000 and married the drummer of LUNA SEA. They currently have three children, though Aya's stated she wants five. Apparently, she is also good at  mimicking E.T.

Why does her first name's kanji changes when she marries from 彩(aya) to 亜弥(a-ya), like aya matsuura?
Anyway, it would be great to have photos of her more recent :)

Ishiguro is so underrated. ;_; I didn't even know she existed the first year I knew Morning Musume.

I think she's very pretty and I love her hair . . but I gotta say she probably has the biggest nose in all of H!P. XD (not that it's a bad thing . .)

And she looks like she was best friends with Kaori~ <3

My Aya story: I was always intrigued about Aya, and how she sort-of skirted that line between the original MoMusu and the "Golden Era." I wondered why she left right after "Love Machine" was released. Then I liked watching her on Utaban where she was complaining about how the hosts never talk to her or know her name.
Favourite thing(s) about Aya: She's smart and attractive. I also kind of admire the fact she gave up surefire success in MoMusu to get married and raise a family.
Favourite H!P group with Aya: Like Yaguchi, I like early MoMusu better, but Aya shone more in Tanpopo

My Aya story: From her short amount I knew her in Morning Musume, she was the one with the real swagger. It's obvious she wears the pants in the relationship. If she didn't graduate so early, she easily woulda been sub-leader for a long time to come. Great gritty vocals!! Tina Turner style. I loved her nose ring too haha. And coming back with all those mama books, shows <3

This is old, but any mention of Aya is well worth it. You get a dictionary, and look up the word idol, and it's bound to have a picture of Aya Ishiguro.
In this clip she schools the other members on what it means to be an idol...when you are in front of the camera, you put all the shit out on the table and you don't hold back.
You only have so much chance to make your mark, and to help improve the song or performance you are working on. Another thing about being an idol - other idols look up to you, they can see that you are doing it like there isn't any tomorrow..... I've always thought it was cool that, despite leaving Momusu early on to start a family, she still stayed somewhat close with everyone. Will we see the original Tanpopo revive itself?
