Title: Story Time - chapter 10 (WMatsui) 15/09/2017
Post by: Soysaucee on September 24, 2016, 07:11:38 PM
Hi! My name is Soysaucee and this is going to be a story that's been on my mind and I want to share it to you! It's a WMatsui and I hope you enjoy it.

Prologue

"Can you tell us a story?"

Rena heard that everyday from her kids. Their smiles were beaming, their eyes shining, and their hands were clasped together in anticipation. It was a real treat to see them this way. But Rena just smiled, shaking her head, disappointing the little runts. They walked closer to fireplace away from Rena, who sat on the couch, alone, drinking hot coffee, draped with a blanket. She watched them, carefully, since, of course, fire was right there for them to play or most likely, burn themselves with.
The kids were small albeit very mature for their age, only indulging in a few childish pleasures such as Rena's stories from time to time, but of course they were kids; they couldn't read the atmosphere very well. They didn't notice Rena's teary eyes or the bags under them, her trembling hands that sometimes spilled coffee on the blanket, and they definitely didn't notice that half of their family was gone, maybe they did, but she thanked them silently for not pressing the subject.
It's been two months since she left. Rena desperately tried to find her. She hired private investigators, researched the Internet, pillaged her partner's belongings, but nothing came up, only a single note on the computer desktop screen that made her tear up. She didn't know what to do or what to say, but she knew she had one task.

   Protect the Kids.

That was the last thing she said to her at the doorway of the house. A final goodbye yet Rena didn't know it at the time. She just smiled innocently, kissing the woman as she did everyday, and waved goodbye as her love left through the door, not knowing it was last she'd ever see her.
Rena looked down towards her coffee, the hot liquid letting out a steady stream of steam onto her face, and sighed, resigning herself to defeat, ready to cry once more. But she pursed her lips instead, looked up at the pair of children playing by the fireplace, and with a gentle voice said,"Sakura, Haruka. Come I'll tell you a story."
The two looked over, surprised at the treat they were about to receive, and immediately bolted out of their spots towards the woman. Their smiles once again shone in delight and they were seated neatly in front of Rena, who never flinched at the sudden movement of the little kids.

"What's the story about?",Haruka asked, her lisp showing,"Is it about the dragon this time?"

Rena pondered. She wasn't sure that she could tell a fictional story like she used to, much less a real one since she didn't go out much. But she knew she had one she could talk about for hours on end, yet she was cautious of the subject, fearing that the pair might remember their parental figure's absence. But she need to tell a story, not wanting to go back on her words. So she decided to tell them the story of how their parents first met, their adventures together, and maybe, just maybe, why the other girl left.

First Meetings

Autumn. Rena was walking in the park, the leaves crunching every time she took a step, irritating her slightly. Her backpack was draped off one shoulder and her phone rested snugly in her hands, afraid that the local hoodlums might snatch it. She looked around carefully, behind her and at all sides, and walked warily forward, just hoping to get home quickly.
That paranoia came from her high school, where fighting ensued everyday and bullying was a daily occurrence. At that time, she just kept her head low, not attracting attention, and carried on working like normal high school girl. But of course, if it came down to it, she knew what had to be done. Every time they messed with her, her eyes would turn red with fury and she basically mauled them into submission. But the weird thing is, she wouldn't remember the experience, smiling innocently at the people she beat up, and worked diligently on like she always did. That's what made her so scary.
But right now, she was walking home from the most prestigious university in the country, where scholars honed their artistry and academic skills to the maximum level. It would be absurd if some hoodlums were on the college campus, ready to make one's day a mess.
But if it could happen, it will happen. Too bad it did happened to her.
The strange thing is; does one feel bad for Rena or the other person?
Adrenaline pumping. Hearts racing. Minds twirling. Rena pressed the gun onto the cheek of the girl who just tried to mug her, her eyes, like in high school, were a crimson red, ready to press the trigger. The girl's lips quivered in fear, her hands in the air in defeat, and tears streamed out steadily out of her eyes. She didn't expect to be disarmed in a flash by an innocent-looking girl walking in the park. Who would've thought?

"Please don't hurt me.",the girl said, her voice trembling, looking up at the figure above her, trying to appeal to her.

Rena just looked silently at the girl, judging her like the Romans did, and pressed the gun harder into the cheek. The girl panicked, thinking she was about to get shot, and collapsed on the ground, resigning herself to death, ready to accept it at any second. She didn't expect it, though. She didn't expect the gun thrown onto her lap, giving her mercy and sparing her life. The girl thought Rena was stupid, but she didn't try to mug her a second time. She knew how that would work out. So she just stashed the gun into her coat pocket, stood up, and ran out of the Rena's sight, but not before Rena called to the girl and gave her a thumbs down.

____

Winter. Rena closed her jacket, hugged herself, and walked, as usual, through the park coming home from her classes. She couldn't enjoy the view of the park, considering there were mounds of snow piled up at the side of the pathway, blocking her sight.
Rena sometimes sat on a bench, by a lamppost, whenever she walked home, just to see people pass by. She was planning to do that today even though it was freezing outside, but of course, Rena wasn't really normal was she? But when she arrived at the bench, someone already occupied it. It was that girl, although Rena had no recollection of her. So Rena just sat on the other side of the bench, clueless of their relationship, and just minded her own business.
Rena didn't notice the look of horror on the other girl's face. She just continued to watch people pass by the bench and relaxed peacefully with no cares at all. She then glanced at the girl beside her and smiled naively, unknowing of the circumstance that bound them together. She then proceeded to do her own thing; the girl still staring in awe.
The stare was making Rena uncomfortable. She could feel the two orbs piercing her very existence, shuffling in her own seat in anxiety, she then turned towards the horrified girl.

"Do I...know you?",Rena asked, her posture and behavior far different from what the other girl experience back in autumn.

The girl kept mum and looked away from Rena. She patted her coat pocket, wondering if the gun was still there, just in case Rena went berserk again. She was a bit surprised Rena didn't remember her, but thankful nonetheless, since she didn't want to make a bad impression again. So instead of running away, the girl straightened herself up and introduced herself, albeit with a weak voice.

"My name is Matsui Jurina. Nice to meet you.",the girl said, holding her hand out, waiting for a handshake.

____

Summer. Rena didn't know why her school would let delinquents out on a school trip but she was excited at the prospect of the adventure. She was getting on the bus, alone, since everyone was so scared of her, and sat on a seat, alone, stashing her backpack under her seat. She looked around, not noticing that everyone was avoiding her stare, and spotted a lone figure in the front of the bus, not knowing where to sit. She waved at the girl, gesturing her to come sit with her, but the girl froze up, scared at sitting next to the infamous Matsui Rena. But since the bus's capacity was suited for exactly how many students their class had, the scared girl had no other choice but to sit next to Rena.
The girl slowly walked towards the seat at the back of the bus where Rena was, who was smiling kindly at the girl, but to the girl, the smile looked malevolent, like Rena was about to murder her. She trembled at the thought, her body shaking in fear, and tried to turn around to run away but a big woman, who was looking menacingly at her, blocked her path, forcing her to go forward towards Rena.
She sat at the edge of her seat, almost falling off. Rena was still smiling, even though it was a bit creepy, and invited her to sit closer to her to avoid an accident. The girl looked at Rena with a confused look, wondering why the demon was smiling. She was about to just blow off this whole trip, considering her heart's health for beating too fast, but Rena's next action caught her off guard.
A hand was stretched out, inviting the girl to take it.

"My name is Matsui Rena. Nice to meet you.",Rena said, politely, before the girl took her hand.

____

Spring. It was the start of a new school year in her high school. Rena looked around at the familiar faces and the unknown ones. She scoffed.

A weak class huh? I'd rule over them like all the other ones! But...will I be able to control them?

The teacher came in, although none of the students paid attention to him. But strangely today, he seemed to hold an air of authority unlike the other days. He bellowed to the class to shut up and almost immediately, everyone stopped, surprised at the actions of their usual timid teacher. He cleared his throat before speaking.

"We've got a new student here. Treat her well.",he said before he gestured to the door, where most likely the new student was waiting. The door slid open, revealing a girl, as tall as Rena but her features were sharper, which sort of irritated Rena. She made her way towards the podium, faced the class, and bowed.

   "Introduce yourself.",the teacher said sternly.

She surveyed the classroom before clearing her throat. Her voice was a bit hoarse but understandable, and she seemed to have caught a cold, most likely due to the change in seasons.

"My name is Matsui Jurina.",she said and nothing else, confusing all the other students and the teacher. Usually, most people would say what their interests and hobbies, but not for Matsui Jurina.

"Take that seat.",the teacher said, pointing to the seat next to Rena. Jurina made her way towards Rena, not knowing who she really was.

Rena took a quick glance at the girl next to her, wondering how tough she was, but what caught her eye was that Jurina was already looking at her, scrutinizing and judging. Jurina didn't know of Rena, but of course, that didn't stop her from taking an interest at the girl.

____

"That's how we first met.",Rena said, still on the couch with the coffee on her hands, telling the story to her children.

"B-But. You told it four times!",Sakura argued, confused with the story,"And they're all different!"

Rena smiled at the child's innocence,"That's what Jurina told me. She met me four times, all of them in a different way.",she explained, hoping that the children would understand. Although Haruka, being the way that she was, kept questioning what that meant, but Rena didn't know how to explain it without making them more confused.

"Haruka, Sakura. Look at it this way. Spring is Chukara. Summer is Amakuchi. Autumn is Gekikara. And Winter is the regular me, Rena. That's what she called me.",she tried to explain and thankfully earned understanding nods.

"But then, why did mama try to mug you?", Sakura asked, tilting her head adorably.

Rena smiled,"Well that's the next part of the story."

Is it always Winter?

Winter. Rena looked at the outstretched hand, pondering if she should take it. A scar ran down Jurina's hand, disappearing into her coat, and Rena became cautious, wondering if this person was dangerous or not. Her eyes drifted upwards from the hand, landing on the other girl's face. It was a mix of anticipation and fear, confusing Rena. Why would she be afraid?
In order to ease the scarred girl's anxiety, Rena took the hand, albeit very cautiously, and shook it.

"My name is Matsui Rena. Nice to meet you too.",she said, still shaking the hand of the anxious girl. Jurina kept mum, choosing to reflect on her stupid decision to introduce herself to a hazardous woman. But of course, why would her best friend from high school not remember her?  She needed to find out.

"I know.",Jurina said abruptly, emerging out from her own thoughts, and her words baffled the other girl. Rena immediately pulled her hand away from Jurina's.

   She knows me?

Rena looked warily at the girl,"H-Have we met each other before?",she said, shifting in her seat, nervous. Jurina thought for a while on how to proceed, choosing not to answer the other girl's question. But her pondering only served to her detriment as Rena stood up suddenly.

"I'm sorry but I have to go.",Rena said before walking away hurriedly, trying to get away from the strange girl.

Jurina's eyes widened, panicking that the other girl was leaving her again. She quickly got up also and ran towards Rena, grabbing her wrist and turning her around to face her.

"Wait. Please wait.",Jurina said, catching her breath from running,"There's something I have to ask you."

Rena raised an eyebrow and said,"I'm sorry but I'm not intere—"

   "Please!",Jurina exclaimed, getting desperate,"Just one question.",she offered.

Rena sighed, frustrated that this random girl won't leave her alone. But she relented and let the panting girl ask her question.

Jurina calmed herself down, but clutched her heart since it was beating so fast. She cleared her throat, let go of Rena's wrist, and spoke with a loud, clear, and resonating voice.

"Is it always winter for you?"

____

Spring. Dirty blackboards and dusty erasers filled their eyes, taunting them, laughing at them. They had cleaning duty since it was their job on Fridays, which, of course, was a pain. Rena glanced at the still Jurina, in awe at the mess they had had to clean this time.
"Get to work. You mutt.", Rena said before she took the erasers and went towards the window. Jurina wasn't surprised at Rena's rhetoric; she was always this way. The words hurt a bit, yes, but she knew Rena didn't mean it. Rena was a nice person.
Whenever they had cleaning duty, Rena took the dirtier and tougher jobs, leaving Jurina with the cleaner ones, but of course, she masked her kindness with mean words. She was—What do you call it? Ts-Tsun

____

"It's tsundere momma.",Haruka said with her lisp.
____

Yes. Rena in the spring was a tsundere, but of course, she didn't like to be called that. Whenever Jurina mentioned it, she would lash out in defiance at the words, and when she did, Jurina would laugh discreetly, thinking this Rena character was funny.
Her eyes shifted towards the figure by the window, dusting off the erasers, while she was wiping the board with the rag. There was a long way to go. She had a long way to go.

____

Summer. Delinquents among delinquents filled the camping area with the their duffel bags and backpacks, stuffed with who knows what. Their eyes surveyed the area before them, wooden cabins surrounding an empty space, most likely for a bonfire, and cheap steel grills were the main attractions, but of course, they were all excited to go to the waterfall a mile away.
Jurina knew. Yes she knew. She knew that Rena would make her share a cabin together, only them and no one else, since nobody would want to share a cabin with Rena. Jurina groaned at the thought. She didn't want to share a cabin with Rena ever since 'that' happened in the spring.
When summer came, Rena became 'different', which, of course, bothered Jurina greatly. Rena was too clingy as if she just made a new friend, and Jurina didn't know it back then, but in a way; she did make a new friend. Rena let her borrow stuff and helped her with classes. And one time she got sick, a whole notebook of notes and of course, food, was delivered personally by the girl who called herself "Jurina's best friend". And even now, in the middle of the camping ground, Rena clutched tightly on Jurina's free arm, happily observing all the delinquents that were making a mess of the place.

"Let's go over there!",Rena said, pointing at something and pulled Jurina along with her as she ran to an empty cabin.

____

Autumn. Jurina clutched her racing heart as she entered her empty apartment, tired from running away from the girl she just tried to mug. She glanced at the time on the clock, realizing it's time to eat dinner, and proceeded to go the kitchen, still panting and sweating.
   Wayward. Rena is still wayward.
Jurina thought about Rena, and how she was pretty much the same, but in a way different, while she was preparing the ingredients for her dinner. She knew Rena wouldn't remember her, actually she didn't, but she liked to think that she did, so it didn't hurt as much.
Rena was different. 'Is different'. Far different from anybody else Jurina knew. She had too many sides. Too many mysteries. Who was she? Who was this Rena? Jurina didn't know. But what she did know is that 'this' Rena was like the one she met a year ago during the same time, when she changed from the 'nice' Rena to this delinquent-like monster that she never saw before. It was like the time she changed from a tsundere to this sort of angel that fell upon her, but this time; the devil came upon her.
So she hatched a plan. Observe her. Provoke her. Befriend her. And find out if she really had different personalities. The part she just did was to provoke Rena, which of course, almost got her killed but to her, it was worth it.

____

"So mommy had a plan to find out if you had different pers-perso-persona—"

"Personalities Sakura. The word is personalities.",Rena interjected, now finished with her coffee, leaving it on the side table,"And yes, she told me that she wanted to find out who I was since I was all mysterious and all that.",she said jokingly, to which Sakura and Haruka laughed.

"But momma, if mommy mugging you was the second part. What's the first?",Haruka asked, curious.

"I'll get to that soon Haruka.",Rena said before shifting in her seat, finally settling down a few seconds later,"But first, let me tell you what happened in the school trip."

I wonder how Jurina was able to find out about her multiple personalities.
Title: Re: Story Time (WMatsui) — Friendships

Friendships

Summer. Friendship. What was friendship? Is it talking alone with a person in a secluded restaurant far from the regular eye?Or is it the person you pass by in the hallway, occasionally waving hi to? Rena, though, has a very interesting view on friendship, however. She believed everyone was her friend, from the people she beat up to that random guy behind the cashier in the local convenience store, and of course, Jurina.
Jurina was an interesting case. When Rena, in this case, 'summer' Rena, first met her, there was this sort of spark, a sort of natural lure towards the new girl in the school, like she met her before. And she rode the wave, following what her body felt was right to do, and of course, that was to befriend Jurina, even though the latter may not be too keen on it, but that's irrelevant.
Rena watched the sleeping face of her 'friend'. The moonlight illuminated the beautiful features, her eyes fluttering slightly, and a look of serenity filled her face that Rena never saw before. She mostly saw disgusted glares or sometimes uncomfortable expressions, but never this. This peaceful look. She's never seen it before in her life.
But was her life? She's only experienced the heat of the sun or the pitter patter of the rain that sometimes came. In the books, she's seen tundras, snow, winter, and CHRISTMAS! Oh how she wished to experience Christmas! Although the thought of Christmas made her somber. When will that time come? Only boring half-important days came her way. Stupid Summer.
Jurina made a slight purr in her sleep, which Rena found absolutely adorable, and turned over, away from Rena's spying eyes, disappointing the girl. And as Rena watched the sleeping back, she looked outside the window, where delinquents huddled around a bonfire and ate meats off the steel grills. Watching them, she hatched an idea.

"Psst Jurina.",she said as she lightly tapped the girl,"Pssst."

Silence. She didn't want to wake up.
Rena sighed. She didn't think Jurina was a heavy sleeper, but she needed to wake up her up somehow. So she raised Jurina's bedsheets, and tucked herself in, right beside Jurina, and hugged her from behind.

"Wake up Jurina.",she whispered in the other girl's ear gently, softly, hoping that it will startle her, and almost immediately, to Rena's delight, Jurina opened her eyes and turned her body around, meeting eye to eye with Rena, who was grinning wildly, which, of course, made her very very bothered.
"W-What a-are you doing?!",she yelled, since they were alone in their cabin, before she pushed Rena off her bed, who landed with a thump on the floor.
"Ouch..",Rena said, rubbing her butt, which got hurt in the fall,"I was trying to wake you up.",she said.

"Why? Why?",Jurina said, panicking, her eyes flashing with urgency.

Rena smiled, getting up slowly, her eyes now sparkling, and said,"Let me take you somewhere."

____

"Where are you taking me?",Jurina asked, her hand interlocked with Rena's as the girl led her to someplace. The forest around them was dark and eery, and for the first time, she kind of wished the other delinquents were here with her. It was chilly; she was burring from the slight wind, and she berated herself for not bring a sweater.
Silence. The forest was silent except for the occasional hoots of the owls and of course, the rustling of leaves, since they were wading through the foliage. Jurina looked up at the night sky, spotting the moon. It was full.

"A special place.",Rena said before letting go of Jurina's hand and deftly climbed a small rock wall garnished with vines and leaves. Once she got up, she crouched and held a hand out at Jurina,"Come. It's safe I assure you",she said mysteriously before Jurina agreed to come.
Jurina was nervous. Too nervous. But Rena's assuring hand only squeezed tighter when she tried to pull away as they ran faster through the forest. How far was this place? She felt she's been running for about a mile now and her stamina surely can't keep up. How does Rena have this much stamina!
   Oh right. She fights.
Jurina pushed the stupid thoughts out of her head as Rena started slowing down, her hand letting go of Jurina's. She heard the deafening sound of the rush of water, realizing where Rena took her.
A giant waterfall, her head straining to even see the top of it. Mist covered the bottom and it became a lot colder. Oh how she wished for a sweater right now.
Rena looked back at the awestruck Jurina looking up at the waterfall.
"There no use looking that much at it!",she said playfully, before going up to Jurina and taking her hand again.

"Where are you taking me?!",she yelled as the rush of the water faded her speech, trying to get her fatigued legs to match the speed of Rena's. But Rena only looked back, a smile planted on her face and said some words Jurina didn't want to hear.

"A swim!",Rena screamed ecstatically as she pulled a surprised Jurina along with her into the pool of water.

   Friendships. This one just started.

____

Spring. Friendship sucks. Well she was only saying that because she got rejected for the fifth time by Rena, who of course, really wanted to be friends, but can't get herself to say it. So Jurina was barraging her, trying to finally get her to give in ,with requests of friendship, but this tsundere was tough to crack.

"Get away from me.",Rena said adamantly, her eyes stoic and unmoving. She quickly pushed Jurina aside, away from the class door, and went in, sat down at her seat and read a book while the room was being ransacked by delinquents.
Jurina sighed, it was the second time today, fourth time this week, and it's only been two school days. She entered the room and took her seat, the one beside Rena, and took out her notebook and pen. It wasn't class time yet but Jurina liked to draw and of course, Rena was always on her mind. Her drawing book was full of portraits. From side views to—well she only had side views. Rena didn't look at her once, not even a simple glance. So she has no frontal goodness that she'd be able to draw. But sometimes she felt a piercing gaze at her, but when she raised her head, nobody seemed to even care for her, not even the teacher.
The notebook is not the only article of interest for her. Well...truthfully it's another notebook. But this notebook was for stories, fantasies, that she'd write. From dragons to her homeroom teacher; it was filled with the depths of her mind. She especially liked her story about the dragon. One day, she'd tell that to her kids someday, if she ever had any. But many stories, like her other notebook, was about Rena, since she couldn't keep her mind of her. Rena had this sort of mysteriousness. A sort of "I'm unreachable-you-can't get-me-as-a-friend" sort of aura around her. She would like to be friends, of course, but if Rena ever became a preppy, perky, clingy sort of girl; she'd be so turned off she'd avoid the girl any chance she got. She liked nice people, yes, but on Rena? Absolutely not. Direct kindness from her was foreign.
The door again opened with an old teacher, who was limping his way to the podium, calling for order. He was weird. He had a thinly veiled scalp. His eyes were lizard-like. And he sometimes picked his nose, giving the students a full view of his unhygienic practices. But he was a nice guy. He always stayed after school to help the struggling kids trying to get into college, which was almost all of them, except Rena, of course. She somehow was ridiculously smart. And he gave them candy, which was sort of weird, but highly rated by the students. And even though he did all these kind things, Jurina didn't like him.
She saw him as this opportunistic mutt who would use his position to look at high school girls and spy on their—

"We're gonna have a school trip in the summer."

   Ok. He's cool now.

____

Autumn. Sweaters. She liked sweaters. It kept you warm and cozy, safe from the cold breezy wind. And as she walked through the park again, she tucked her hands in the pockets, and walked peacefully against the gusts of chilly air. She hope to meet Rena again, wondering if she changed personalities again, or if her hunch was right and she only changed by the seasons.

"Oh it's you.",a voice said, breaking her out of her thoughts. It was Rena. She was smiling, far different from the girl from yesterday. She was walking towards Jurina with a spring on her step but it was a hoax. Jurina didn't see it coming.
A punch. A straight up punch landed on Jurina's cheek, who groaned at the impact and keeled over, a loud noise resonating through the park. Her nose was bleeding, running down her face, blood gently dripping on the pavement.

"Don't show your face here again. If I see you, you're dead."

And while she laid on the cold pavement, covered with orange and red leaves, she regretted her decision wholeheartedly. Why would she want to meet the dangerous side of Rena? She should've come in the spring or the winter, or even better yet, the summer. But she couldn't afford to go back now, she met her again. She got up, patted the stuck leaves off her, and looked at the tough girl in front of her. Their eyes were interlocked. A beam that fought each other seemed to be coming out of their eyes as their glares created an undeniable tension between them.

"Don't mess with me Rena. I know all about you."

Rena's eyebrow was raised, surprised at the challenge. But she smirked deviously, thinking it was fun. It's been a long time since someone challenged her, but truthfully, to her, it felt like yesterday. To her, it's just another day for Gekikara.

____

Bloody sweaters. Bloody nose. Bloody pavement. Rena was laughing manically. Jurina was suffering, her body hurting in all sorts of places. She shouldn't have said that. She really shouldn't have said that. And as the trading of blows between their faces and bodies continued, only Jurina seemed to be the one getting hurt. It seemed Rena just absorbed it and used the power as her own, but humans weren't like that. Although Jurina thinks Rena is far from human right now. Her strength is immense.
Jurina was on the ropes. She didn't have much time till she collapsed from the pain and only a few more kicks and punches was all that it would take till she would resign. She only had one option left. She blocked a punch from Rena and reached into her pocket, pulling out a polaroid picture, and showed it to Rena, who was about to punch again.

   "Look! Look at this!"

Rena looked at it and gulped. She didn't want anyone to see or anyone to find out. It was a picture of both of them from the summer camp, arm in arm, smiling widely.

"You. Who are you?",Jurina said, while Rena looked into her eyes ominously,"And what have you done with Rena?"

____

"That's it for today.",Rena said, standing up from the cozy couch,"It's time for bed.",she continued much to the disappointment of the kids.

"B-But we wanna hear the rest!",they cried out, protesting.

"Tomorrow. You'll hear it tomorrow. I'll tell it to you after you go to school okay? But right now, go. You guys need your sleep."

They nodded, understanding, and ran up the stairs, racing each other to the top. Rena looked at the side table where her empty coffee cup lay. A picture frame that was face down also laid there and Rena had an itching feeling to look at it again. She looked around, as if someone was there, and picked it up, reminiscing at the memories. It was the polaroid, looking as fresh as the day it was taken. Tears welled up in her eyes as she set it down, angry at herself for not controlling her other self.

Stupid Gekikara. Why'd you do it?

Miss Tsundere

Rena looked pensively at the computer, the note that Jurina left still the screen saver. She sighed, frustrated at herself. She was careless—too careless. She turned the monitor off, got off the chair, and left the room, hearing the sounds of playing downstairs.

   They're home.

She calmly went down the wooden steps, the sounds of her children getting louder. And as she caught sight of them playing, her face went pale. A woman, looking exactly like her, was playing with them. She was wearing a jacket with a white dragon, her hair was tied up into a ponytail, and there was kiss mark on her cheek, teasing Rena of her past endeavors, The girl looked back at Rena and giggled, haunting her ears.

   "You mad?"

Rena shook her head roughly. The girl was gone. She was seeing things. Nobody was there. She slapped her face lightly, waking herself up. She needed to focus, keep her cool. Everything is going to be all right. Jurina will come back.
The two kids saw sight of Rena and immediately stopped playing. They ran from their spots by the fireplace to the girl by the stairs, pulling her by the arm to the couch. They were smiling, their eyes sparkling. They must be excited to hear the rest. And as Rena took her seat, they also took their seats in front of her. Rena smiled. They were her little angels.

"Okay what story do you want to hear?"

They kept silent, smiling, and Rena knew what they wanted. She shuffled on the couch, getting into a comfortable position, and she spoke in a clear voice.

_____

Winter. The question still lingered in the air and their hearts were still. Rena stood on the cold pavement confused, although, in her heart; she knew what the answer was. Jurina's grip got tighter on her arm, making her wince.

"Oh. I'm sorry.",she said as she let go of Rena's arm, but she still looked to Rena for her answer, like a librarian searching for a book.

Rena took a breath. She knew of her condition and accepted it fully, but she chose not to reveal it for the sake of her 'autumn' self, who thought of their condition as a defect. Who knows what her 'autumn' self would do if she found out 'winter' Rena revealed their "little glitch", as she liked to call it. Ugh. There was nothing wrong with them, she would think to herself, and her two others selves didn't care about what 'autumn' said at all. It's like she's the only one offended.

"Hello?",Jurina said, breaking Rena out of her thoughts.

"Oh sorry. I was a little lost in my mind.",Rena said, much to Jurina's amusement, who giggled slightly.

"That's a peculiar way of saying it. Say...umm..forget the question. You don't have to answer. But on one condition."

   Rena raised an eyebrow.

"Take me to dinner Miss Tsundere",Jurina said.

Rena raised her eyebrow again, confused at the origin of that nickname, but shrugged it off.

   "Okay"

____

Spring. Rena was confused. Why is she sitting down in a nice restaurant with her old classmate from high school? Looking around the restaurant, she spotted fancy dresses, famous paintings, and dashing waiters. And here she was, in normal civilian clothing.

Ugh. Typical of 'winter' Rena. She does have nice style, though.

   She looked at her watch

   The seasons changed. My turn.

She looked at the girl in front of her, surprised at how much she changed in just two years, her features becoming much sharper and more beautiful. Time must've been good on her. She wondered, though, as she looked at the mature girl, why they were here, in drab clothing, eating nicely, and in an overall, friendly mood.

Oh my god. Did we get together?

She flushed that thought out of her head, thinking it was absurd, although she didn't mind it too much. In fact, she felt a little bit excited at the prospect. Who would've thought tsundere Rena played for the other team? She slightly smiled at the thought.

   "Are you okay?"

Rena realized again that she was lost in her thoughts. That part never seemed to change about her.

"Oh I'm sorry. Just thinking about a few things.",she said before leaning in closer,"This restaurant is nice isn't it?"

"Yeah it's so beautiful! I'm so glad you're treating me!",Jurina said happily, looking around the place.

'Winter' Rena what did you do? We're not rich at all!

Rena forced a smile, acting as though she wasn't pissed off, but in fact, she was the exact opposite. She was fuming. Isn't it great to take up problems you didn't make? But she had to hand it 'winter' Rena. The fact that she could deal with autumn's problems is a feat in of itself. She really worked a sweat for those. And in comparison, the problems 'winter' gives 'spring' was far less serious.

"I'm glad you're enjoying it. If you don't mind may I ask a question?"

   "Go ahead"

"I forgot why we came here in the first place. Any particular reason?"

Jurina smiled, her discovery almost proven true. She chose the right date to go and meet her.

"And how did you forget?",she smirked," Miss Tsundere."

It's like someone triggered the trap card or stepped on a landmine because when Rena heard those two words, she flipped. She protested loudly, disrupting the others in the restaurant. A familiar scene except that it was in a high class restaurant. The whole time, like in high school, Jurina giggled, amused that her hypothesis was correct.

"Madame may I kindly ask you to leave."

____

They were sitting out on the curb at the front of the restaurant, having been kicked out for disturbing the peace. Rena was feeling absolutely abysmal while Jurina, of course, is feeling pretty proud of herself as looked up to the stars in the sky, enjoying the view.

   I should become a detective.

"How did you know?",Rena solemnly asked the grinning Jurina. She was hunched over, her elbows resting on her knees as her face rested snugly in her hands in utter defeat.

What will 'autumn' do when she finds out?

"Well when you're at gunpoint and then that person forgets you about a week later. It will put some questions in your head. Also when a tsundere immediately turns all nice and polite to you. That also will put some questions in your head. And also when—"

"Okay! Okay! I get it already. I wasn't careful. No more please."

Jurina sighed, her moment of pride over,"If you don't mind me saying this but you're pretty interesting Rena."

Rena scoffed,"Not as interesting as you might think. It's horrible this is. Horrible. This whole situation is horrible."

Jurina hunched over like Rena was and looked at her face to face.

"Only if you want it to be. Let's face it. Your life isn't going to change much. One person knowing isn't going to be bad right?"

   Jurina you are so foolish.

"You don't know do you? You don't know what my other selves might think of this do you?"

Jurina fell silent, realizing her own naivety. But she knows two of her other personalities would be fine with it.

   What about 'autumn'?

Jurina straightened her back and stood up, patting the debris off her. She looked at the girl looking up passively at her. Her eyes were glazed, emotionless.

"I understand. But let me say one thing. You better fix your differences with 'autumn' in the future or she may ruin your lives one day."

Rena knew. She always knew that. But she wasn't courageous enough to do so. Who knows what 'autumn' could do? She was too unpredictable. Rena kept silent and Jurina took it as a yes. She said a small goodbye before walking away but a few yards later, she looked back at the sullen Rena, still hunched over.

   "You still owe me dinner!"

____

"Mama when did you get married?",Haruka asked, a few syllables becoming lost in her speech.

Rena thought about it. She never really remembered those types of things anymore. She's too busy nowadays.

"Oh! So that story was a year before!",Sakura said, showing her knowledge.

   Rena smiled.

   "Yeah. Yeah it was."

   "So how—

Rena wasn't listening. She was too pre-occupied with the figure behind her kids, also listening intently to the story, cross legged, like what her kids were doing. She appeared again, teasing Rena, taunting her.

   "Never mess with me."

Rena shook her head again. She was gone. No one is there. She isn't real. Sakura was still asking her question, innocently, not knowing what her mother was going through at the current moment.

   "—and have a wedding."

   "I'm sorry. What was that?"

"I said how did you guys fall in love, get engaged, and have a wedding!",she replied, frustrated that her mother was a bit pre-occupied.

"Oh right. Yeah. Umm. Let's get to that."

Love Start

Spring. Rena sat, on the curb in front of the restaurant they were kicked out of last night, waiting for a familiar face to come meet her. She was curious, oddly curious, of the girl that she last saw two years ago, back when they were just seniors in high school. It was weird, being so close to her, since she tried to hard to avoid her company. She wondered what happened in between.

   Maybe I'll ask them.

   "Rena?"

The voice was close—too close—and it made Rena shiver, but she calmly collected herself and kindly greeted the girl who she longed to meet.

"So what did you want to say to me?",Jurina asked, her head tilting adorably, not knowing it made Rena's heart jump in joy.

   Sooooo cute!

But she shook her head, knocking out the stupid thought out of her head, and cleared her throat.

   "Let's talk."

____

Awkward. That's what they felt right now as they sat in the quiet, off-the-wall café in the backstreets of the college campus. Jurina looked at Rena, wondering what's going on in the other girl's mind. She thought they were just going to have a friendly talk but apparently, that was not what Rena thought.

Oh my god. Oh my god. This is a date right? Isn't this called a date?

Rena never had that much a social life. Of course, she was always avoided by her peers for, you know, beating them up senseless from time to time.

"Ummmm what did you want to talk about?"

Rena was looking down at her lap, ignoring the other girl's words, but realized she was too awkward and looked up at the other girl.

"Oh right. I forgot. Ummmm. How did we—"

   "Meet?"

"Yeah...how did we meet." Rena scratched the back of her head, the anxiety welling up. She looked down again at her lap, disappointing herself for being so meek.
Jurina smiled, liking this version of Rena,  but, of course, she enjoyed 'summer' Rena the best. She took a sip of her coffee, taken in a white ceramic mug. She then cleared her throat. "I think you already know how we met."

"I meant...again. How did we meet again?"

Jurina smiled again before speaking. "I met 'autumn' Rena in the park. We uhhh had an interesting confrontation."

"We're you hurt?" Rena asked worriedly, her face a clear give away.

Jurina leaned closer. "Why? You worried?"

Rena scoffed. "O-Of course not. Haha. That's not what I meant."

"Then what is it?" Jurina was listening intently at the answer. Rena kept silent, thinking of an answer. Her face brightened when she found one, like a light bulb lighting up.

"I know how she is. How 'I' am during the autumn. She could've done something stupid and gotten me in trouble. I think you'd understand if you were the same but you're not."

Jurina pursed her lips, keeping silent. Rena had a good answer and it made Jurina shut up. Rena felt a bit proud of herself, surviving the onslaught that Jurina made her go through.

"But anyway. What happened after?" Rena asked.

Jurina looked directly at Rena, their eyes meeting. "Nothing. Nothing happened."

"Don't screw with me. I know something happened or we wouldn't be talking here right know." Rena was getting impatient. Their little 'talk' was not having any progress.

Jurina sighed. "I met you at the park again. Several times in fact. You always threatened to kill me if I showed my face."

"She must be trying to resist the temptation."

   "Of what?"

   "Killing you of course."

Rena's answer surprised her, not expecting it to be so blunt.

"Surprised? Don't be. She's been trying to hold back after I got imprisoned for 6 months. I feel sorry for that girl in the winter. She got the most time out of it. Good thing the school didn't find out or I wouldn't be here anymore."

Jurina gulped, scared at the revelation, scared that she almost set off a ticking time bomb.

   "Anyway. Anything else?"

Jurina collected herself, trying to calmly speak. "I met you in the park during the winter, you offered me food, and here we are."

"That does sound like what she would do." Rena took a sip of her coffee. "But I want to know more."

   "What do you mean?"

"As in, why did you keep wanting to meet me? Why did you take that offer for food? And why are you here, talking to me, when you could be doing something more productive with your life?"

Jurina heated up. Too many questions and all of them made her a bit embarrassed. She looked to the sides, not wanting to look directly at the girl in front of her.

"Look at me." Rena's face was determined. "And tell me."

Jurina shut her eyes rather forcefully, squeezing out the answer that was always there.

   "You interest me. You're interesting."

Rena raised an eyebrow, amused. "Really how so?"
Jurina opened her eyes and pleaded for a break, but Rena took her coffee and just kept sipping it, waiting for answer. She sighed, relenting and prepared her answer.

"You are...an enigma. Sometimes you're taking polaroids with me while eating some soft serve and sometimes you're pointing a gun to my head while threatening to kill me. If that doesn't make you at least a bit interesting, I don't know what would."

Rena looked at her and smiled. "Is that what you think?"

Jurina nodded and looked at her coffee. It was almost out.

"Then what are you going to do about it?" Rena crossed her arms, feeling comfortable. Jurina looked at her, wondering how she could be so relaxed, but she didn't know it was taking Rena's whole willpower not to freak out.

Jurina sighed again for what seemed like the millionth time. "I want to keep seeing you. I don't care how or when. Maybe it's in this cafe or at the park. I want to know you better. Not the half-assed relationship we had in high school but something closer. Something more—"

   "Intimate?" Rena interrupted.

Jurina nodded slowly. "Something intimate." Rena kept mum, the cogs in her mind turning, before speaking again.

"Are you asking me out right now?," Rena asked, feeling a strange anxiety.

Jurina pursed her lips and gulped, nodding in confirmation. "Yeah. I guess I am."

Rena smirked at her answer, making Jurina nervous. Was she going to get rejected? Their eyes were locked for an indeterminate amount of time as a war of attrition ensued, begging for each other to speak first. Rena, though, couldn't handle the silence and decided to speak.

   "Ok let do it."

Jurina's eyes widened and her mouth hung open. "R-Really? Are you joking?" Jurina looked at Rena in disbelief, who was sipping her coffee again from the cup.

"I'm not funny. You should know that." Rena sunk further in her seat as the last drops of coffee entered her mouth. She slammed the cup on the table, rattling it. "But I'll agree on one condition."

Jurina held her breath, not expecting the caveat, and listened intently. "What is it?"

"Love me. Love all of me."

____

"Wait a second guys. I have to do something." Rena got up from the couch and hurried upstairs towards the master bedroom. She looked at the desk at the corner of the room and scurried towards it. She took out a pen and grabbed a sheet of paper.

Chukara. I'm telling the kids about 'our' story and don't be alarmed but Jurina has disappeared. Gekikara did something stupid again. Just keep telling them the story and if you find a clue on where Jurina is, follow it. Tell this to Amakuchi too. She'll know what more to do. Have fun on your turn and good luck.

P.S. I just got done telling how we got together.

Rena tucked the piece of paper in her pocket, expecting the girl next season to find it. She looked at the computer on the desk sadly. The source of their problems all came from it.

Title: Re: Story Time (WMatsui) — Rilakkumas in the Spring
Post by: Soysaucee on October 19, 2016, 05:54:22 AM
Rilakkumas in the Spring

Spring. They lay under a tree in the park on a polka dotted cloth. Rena looked awkwardly away from the girl beside her, who was gazing intently at her. It has been three days since they started going out and Rena was slightly perturbed by the request the younger girl had while walking home from classes yesterday. Jurina seemed happy, at least, when Rena reluctantly agreed, although it took her three hours to goad her into it.

"What's the point of this?" Rena turned her body towards Jurina. "We're just laying around."

   Jurina smiled, keeping silent.

"What are you thinking about?" Rena asked her.

Jurina kept smiling but decided to answer the other girl this time. "Nothing. I'm just...happy."

Rena raised an eyebrow. "About what?" Her question seemed to have an effect on Jurina, a brighter smile replaced her old one.

"Us. I'm happy about us." The answer made Rena blush a furious red, clearly embarrassed at the confession. She didn't like to admit it, but she really liked these interactions with Jurina. Rena, though, instead of reciprocating those feelings, scowled and said,"We've only been dating for three days. Don't get ahead of yourself."
Instead of retracting back from the rejection, Jurina leaned closer to Rena, their noses almost touching, and draped an arm over the other girl's waist. Rena trembled at the touch as her shirt had ridden up moments ago and the arm touched her gingerly, tingling her skin.

"I'll make you want me." Jurina whispered and once again, Rena shivered, and at last, she gave in to the other girl's advances, leaning in towards the gingerly placed arm that was on her waist, wanting more friction between the two surfaces. But even so, she defiantly resisted verbally.

"Not going to happen. I doubt it." Rena's words betrayed her actions. Jurina noticed it and smiled cheekily. Her eyes glanced slightly down towards Rena's inviting lips, wishing she could just peck it quickly. She decided against it, opting to find a better time, when they were not arguing.

"It's going to happen. And it doesn't have to be you. I could get Amakuchi to love me first." Rena was confused. Who was Amakuchi?

"What did you just call me?"

Jurina forgot to mention it and internally berated herself. She decided to play it off. "You don't like it?" She pouted, hoping to sway the other girl.
"No! I don't hate it but it's...new. What is it?"
Jurina smiled again. "It's annoying to call you 'winter' Rena or 'autumn' Rena. So I'm going to call you by how mean you were to me."

"So what am I?" Rena asked, feeling a bit nervous at her nickname. She didn't exactly treat Jurina well.

Jurina smiled cheekily. "Chukara (Mildly spicy)."

Rena frowned. "I don't like it."

"Too bad. You were—no—are a tsundere!" Jurina giggled.

Rena's eyes widened. "Why you!" She took Jurina's arm off her and lunged towards Jurina, tickling her. Laughs and giggles filled the spring air as they rolled around the polka dotted cloth and right beside them, the first flowers bloomed.

____

Jurina looked at the house from far away upon a hill. A tear ran down the side of her face but she quickly wiped it with her sleeve. Is this what she wanted? Was this the right thing to do? She didn't know. Her mind was muddled with images of hatred and feelings of perpetual sorrow. She couldn't think straight. She touched the scar on her right cheek and leaned backwards on her black car, sighing and contemplating on her own decisions.

This is the right thing to do.

She glanced backwards into the interior of her car at a small figurine hanging from the rear view mirror and she smiled sadly. It was a Rilakkuma, a small bear that Rena seemed to be so enamored with at the time.
She looked at her feet. Small flowers started blooming and a tiny butterfly nestled itself between the petals. She felt a strange revelation. She looked at the watch on her wrist.

It's spring. She smiled. She must have changed already.

____

Spring. Springtime had never been so different. Springtime had never been so...yellow? Jurina stared quizzically at Rena, who sported a yellow banana suit, and held face full of terror, or was it amusement? Either way, it was bizarre, especially at this time of the year, for Rena to be wearing this...thing.

"What are you wearing?" Jurina checked her out, up and down. She didn't look too bad but why? Why would Rena wear something unlike her? Did she get a change of heart or something?

"Oh this? Amakuchi started it. She likes to dress up on Easter." Rena explained, happily, while smiling.

"But it's not even Easter." Jurina reasoned and truth be told, she was right. It was in a month.

   "I like it."

"You like it? Are you okay?" Jurina went up to her and held the protruding face from the suit into her hands, checking for any signs of illnesses.

"Stop it. I'm not sick." But Jurina still held the face in her hands. "You're lucky I'm on a good mood today." Rena looked at her reproachfully.

Jurina frowned. It was odd. Too odd. "Why? Something happen?"

"Can you let go of my face?"

"Oh sorry." Jurina let her go and rested her hands at her sides. "So what is it?"

Rena looked down at her feet as they shuffled, hesitant to speak her mind. "I have something for you...it's uhhh—"

"Go on," Jurina interrupted, trying to goad her into it. Rena looked towards Jurina, seeming to ask for permission. Jurina nodded.

Rena took a deep breath and tucked her arm inside the costume, trying to get something from her pocket. Her arm came later holding a small figurine. "Here. A present." She took Jurina's hand and put the toy onto it. Jurina stood there in shock. Never had Rena shown this much affection. Rena scratched the back of her head. "I heard it was your birthday. I didn't know it back then."
Jurina's mouth was ajar, staring at the small Rilakkuma doll on her hands. A bright smile enchanted her face, trying not to squeal in delight. Rena waited for her with bated breath. The smile on Jurina's face was always so confusing. Sometimes she'd be smiling because she won a game or she's smiling because she just got hurt and needed to mask it. What was it?
   "I love it."

Rena dropped her shoulders from the anticipation, and breathed normally. "I'm glad. I thought you'd hate it."

Jurina tilted her head. "What makes you think that?" She still looked at the toy in her hand.

Rena went up to her. Jurina looked up from the doll and wondered why Rena was so close. A hug then engulfed her, filling her with warmth. "Because you're so fickle sometimes." Rena said while burying her face into the other girl's hair.

Jurina scoffed in the hug. "Don't talk to me about being fickle. You're the one always changing personalities."

Rena smiled regretfully. "Not my fault Jurina. You know that."

Jurina kept silent but she still had a question lingering.

"Why are you still wearing that suit?"

Taking a final glance at her home. Former home. She took her keys out and unlocked the door to her car. She was about to go in but a voice of reason filled her ears. She looked to the woman standing behind her car, close to the trunk, her arms crossed. She wore t-shirt that wrote "Death to the Establishment" and sported skinny jeans that accentuated her figure. She frowned at the girl
behind her car, becoming cautious.

"You should go back to her, She did nothing wrong." The girl said from behind the car. "I don't like seeing you like this Jurina."

Jurina held the urge to run up to the girl and pull her hair out. She wanted to scream, yell, or do something that would make her hurt. She transformed her hand into a fist, squeezing hard and resolute her fears, her anger, and sorrow out of herself. Her eyes were full of murderous intent. "You're the one. You're the one who did wrong." Her voice was in a low whisper, tingling the hair on the other girl's neck in fear. With Jurina's free hand, she pointed roughly towards her former home. "I know she did nothing wrong. The one in that home right now is innocent." She then pointed accusingly at the girl in front of her. "But you!" Her voice rose in volume. "You destroyed it. You worm!"

The other girl stood silently, a blank emotionless stare on her face. She looked down at her feet and sighed. She looked up and stared directly into Jurina's eyes. "You saw what happened. I had no control—"
"You could've stopped her!" Jurina's face was red, rage apparent. She was panting from screaming and her heart hurt from thinking about it. "You could've stopped her," she said in a low whisper. Tears ran down her face, not the lone tear she would get when she thought about what happened in passing, but a river flowing as if it would never dry out. She looked down, her hands in fists, and relaxed her body, calming down from her angry high.
The woman sensed that Jurina's temper had lowered and walked cautiously towards the sorry girl. She reached the shorter girl and engulfed her in a tight hug. Jurina didn't mind to reciprocate and her hands lay dead at her sides. The woman held Jurina's head in her hands, burying the other girl's face into her body, the tears seeping into the thin fabric of her shirt.

"You need to sort this out. You can't run away."

Jurina nodded while in the hug, understanding what she had to do. She separated her head from the shirt, still in the hug, and looked into the other girl's caring eyes. "Will you help me?"

The girl pursed her lips and pondered for a moment, making Jurina feel nervous. She opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out and she closed it. She glanced to her sides, looking at the green grass and the flowers blooming. She then looked behind Jurina, the house in clear view. She sighed. It was the right thing to do. She looked resolutely at Jurina, who was waiting in anticipation.

"I will." Jurina smiled slightly. "But on one condition."

   Jurina raised an eyebrow.

   "Let me meet her again."

Only the Beginning

"Oh it's you guys." Rena looked at the two kids in front of her with an apparent dislike. These little runts took their alone time she would think. Yet she always changed their diapers, fed them, and took them to school without complaints. She internally berated herself for being so soft during those times.
She felt around her clothes. Usually, 'winter' Rena leaves her a note stored secretly away on her person. She wondered with an amazing curiosity what Gekikara did this time. Almost always, there would be a long rant about what Gekikara did, and she liked reading the note, feeling the distress of the girl. She usually never had to fix Gekikara's mess. That was 'winter' Rena's job.

"Ah here it is." Rena took the note from her pocket and it was all crumpled up, as if she was in a hurry. She felt cautious opening it. Normally, it was a neat, folded up, and formal note, almost a letter. What happened?
She undid the piece of paper with great care and when she saw it, her face went snow white pale, as if it wasn't already pale enough. She gulped and almost bolted out of her seat, but she didn't want to scare the kids. She was being soft again.

"Mama? Are you going to continue?" Haruka was tilting her head adorably, a quizzical look on her face, as she looked at the visible shaken Rena on the couch.

Rena went back to Earth and nodded. "Yeah just taking a break. So where were we again?"

"You told us about the banana suit!" Sakura happily replied. She looked at Haruka who's had the same amount of enthusiasm, both were grinning ear to ear.

"Oh that. I forgot about that." Oh why did she have to tell that anecdote? "Are you ready for more?"

"Yeah!" They both cried out, fists in the air in delight.

____

Summer. Three months. Three months that may be long for some people but for the two lovebirds who always laid down on their polka dotted cloth in the park, it was too short. They played with each other's hair for a good hour while talking about school and their part time jobs that they applied to together.
When summer first came around, Amakuchi was confused, very confused when she opened up the note that was in her jean pocket. But apparently, during high school, she held an internal crush towards Jurina, and she couldn't be any happier at the current situation. She thanked Chukara for making this happen, considering the girl was so stubborn at times, never admitting her feelings.

"I have to go. I have to meet up with someone for a project," Rena said as she played  with Jurina's hair.

Jurina pouted,"Really? That's a bummer. Who is it?" Jurina was cautious, extra cautious. She wasn't the first one to hit on Rena. The sexy, cute, and talented Rena. Her Rena.

Rena smiled at Jurina's obvious jealously, although she tried to so hard to mask it. "Kashiwagi Yuki. You know her. She always hangs around with that Mayu girl."

Jurina cutely pouted, knowing full well who this Kashiwagi was,"I don't like it. Stay with me. I know how that girl acts. She flirts too much."

Rena patted Jurina's shoulder before she sat up on the cloth,"No can do. I've procrastinated way too long. It's due tomorrow."

Jurina sighed and sat up also,"Finish soon then okay?"

Rena nodded, a grin on her face. "I'll finish it but I'll take my time. It wouldn't be right if I rushed it and left it half perfect right?"

Jurina shook her head,"But I wanna see you soon!" She pulled on Rena's shirt, not wanting to let go.

Rena ruffled Jurina's hair,"I'll try my best okay? It wouldn't be right when we get married to have a low paying job. Our kids would be sad!" Rena said while getting up."

Jurina's eyes widened. Marriage? Kids? Jobs? "Wait wait wait. Marriage?" She looked up at the standing girl.

Rena scratched the back of her neck. She blamed herself for her lack of awareness but if it needed to be said, now it would be the perfect time, "I want to marry you one day."

Jurina held her breath. Is this really happening? Rena's heart beat uncontrollably fast as nervousness threatened to make her explode in anxiety.
They looked at each other, waiting for each other to speak, but Rena ,again, was the first to break the deadlock. "I'm sorry! If you don't want to then we don't have to! We could see how it works out! You take your time or maybe you don't even want to be with me at all. So—"

   "Shut up."

   "B-But—"

   "Shut up."

Rena looked at the girl below her, whose head was down. She felt apprehension when she couldn't see the other girl's face, who casted a dark shadow on the polka dotted cloth. It was unlike Jurina to say those words, especially in that tone.

"Don't you dare say those words."

Rena gulped—the tone in Jurina's voice was far from amicable. Rena kneeled to be face to face with Jurina, who was still sitting up on the cloth. "I'm sorry. I wasn't myself for a second there," Rena said, her voice sincere and apologetic.

"Don't say I don't want to be with you. I don't like it."

Rena smiled,"Then is that a yes?"

   "Yes to what?"

   "Marry me."

Jurina had already heard it yet she was still surprised. Her mouth was open in shock, her heart was beating uncontrollably, but one thing was for certain, there was a strange amount of anxiety welling up in stomach, almost causing her to double over.

"You okay?" Rena said, her hand rubbing Jurina's back, soothing and relaxing her. Jurina nodded as she held her stomach that was filled with nervousness.

"I'm fine. I'm fine. It just surprised me that's all,"Jurina said, holding a hand up that signaled she was okay.

"So your answer?" Rena probed as she too was very nervous. She just popped the question, what do you expect?

Jurina pondered for a while as Rena waited an excruciating amount of time. In truth, it was only ten seconds, but to her, it felt like ten minutes. Jurina cleared her throat and Rena readied herself.

Jurina's face was dim. Rena gulped and closed her eyes, preparing for the unbearable truth. She waited and waited and waited but nothing came. Nothing at all. Although she felt it soon right after.
A pair of lips had met hers. Her eyes abruptly opened and saw closed ones in front of hers, clearly enjoying the moment. Soon after, they separated and Rena was visibly shocked.
Jurina smiled and giggled at Rena.

   "That's a yes."

____

Summer. If anything was annoying her right now, it would be that Kashiwagi girl clinging on to her fiancé. But she couldn't say anything because she too was being groped.

"Mayu can you let me go?" Jurina said, trying to get the girl off her as she wanted to have leverage against Rena later, since she couldn't accuse her of doing bad if she did it also. Rena was not struggling to get Kashiwagi off her at all. In fact, to Jurina's eyes, she was enjoying it, and oh did it make her angry.

"No! Yuki and I had a fight. I'm making her jealous so that she can value our friendship. So for now I'm staying here",Mayu stubbornly said, her grip in Jurina's arm becoming tighter.

Jurina internally face palmed. Mayu was doing exactly the opposite of what she was trying to do.
Mayu was best friends with Yuki, but when Jurina looks closely, there is something more going on than just friends, yet she couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was. Which was ironic, considering she used to be in that same relationship just a few months ago.
Jurina looked at Mayu's face, which twitched from seeing the pair in front of them being friendly. Too friendly. Jurina lightly smiled at it, finding it cute, and found Yuki's lucky stars impressive, happy that she found such a friend that cared for her so much. But Jurina shook her head, snapping out of her impertinent thoughts, and walked on forward.

"You look different," Mayu said, noticing something different when she glanced over. "Something more..."

   "Nicer? Happy? Cool?"

"Darker. I can't explain it but you look...darker."

Jurina stared quizzically at the shorter girl,"What are you on about?" Mayu's words were too cryptic and in truth, it made her feel nervous.

"As I said, I can't explain it," Mayu stated. "But we're here now," she said, while pointing at the rusty looking sign above the store. "Let's talk about it later okay?"

____

They stared at each other, silently, with hatred and a sense of betrayal. They were sitting at a café, theirs arms and legs crossed. Jurina stuck her tongue from inside her mouth, making her cheek protrude.

"She cheated right?" Jurina asked the girl in front of her. "With Rena." But the girl beside Jurina didn't let her answer.

The voice from beside her confirmed it,"Yeah..."

Jurina nodded her head slowly, making sense of the situation. The girl wearing the 'Death to the Establishment' shirt besides her ducked her head, feeling ashamed and embarrassment at her actions.

"Rena was different that day. I saw her at our house. Her eyes were dark."

"Someone said something about me being dark before." Jurina said, her voice dead flat. "She was wise. Now I know what it means."

The girl in front of her nodded slowly,"She must be smart...very smart." The girl wore a frilly skirt and a white blouse. Her heels were on the ground under the table as she took them off at the start of their conversation. Her feet started to sweat and she crumpled her hands into fists as rage slowly took over her body just looking at the girl beside Jurina.

"She betrayed me. My family. They," she said as to put emphasis on the word."They betrayed our families."

"I'm not putting any blame on Rena you know that."

   "Why?"

   "You know exactly why."

The girl with the frilly skirt pursed her lips, silenced by Jurina.

Jurina bit her lip and looked over to the girl beside her, who engulfed her face into her hands in shame. She then slammed her hands on the table as she stood up abruptly, startling the two girl with their heads down. They were looking at her when she spoke.

"I think we're done here. I'm not going make you guys forgive each other. Do it on your own time. I have my own relationship to mend."

____

"I don't really have much else to tell you guys. That's all I have left that was interesting," Rena said, looking apologetically at the pouting kids before her. She glanced at the clock, noticing it was a bit late, and said,"It's bed time. Go to bed okay?"

"What about the wedding?" Sakura said, trying to squeeze more anecdotes out of Rena. "And your honeymoon! And and—"

"It was quick, boring, and normal. Nothing special happened,"Rena interrupted,"If I remember more, I'll tell you okay?" She smiled and Sakura and Haruka stopped their heckling, relenting that Rena wasn't going to tell more.

"Okay..." The kids said sadly and scurried up the stairs soon after.

Rena smiled and stood up from the couch.

   There was so much more.

The doorbell suddenly rang and her head cocked right to the door,"Now who can that be?"

She shuffled towards the door and opened it, revealing two people standing there looking at her.

"Mayu and Yuki what are you doing here?"

"We wanted to talk to you," Mayu said before realizing her poor choice of words,"Let me correct myself.  We want you to tell us what happened."

   "When? Where?"

   "Guam. A few years ago."

   "Guam?"

   "Your honeymoon."

An Unwelcomed Guest

Summer. They wanted a quick marriage. No tedious hours of planning or choosing their guests carefully. They didn't even want a reception (They had one. Mayu made them.). They knew what they wanted and that was a great honeymoon. Of course it wasn't smart to take a honeymoon, much less get married, during the middle of the semester, but they didn't care, actually they did, but they're practically geniuses that they don't have to worry about it.
And here they are, holding their plane tickets in one hand and the handle of their suitcases in the other, at the airport, waiting for the line to enter the plane. They smiled when they reached the attendant and when she scanned their passes and they held hands when they walked on the jet bridge to the plane, each carrying their respective suitcases. When they sat down at their seats, 48 A and B, the woman beside them surprised them.

"H-How did you know we were on this plane?" Rena asked, horrified at the sight.

The other girl was also in shock, as if there was a hair dryer thrown into a bathtub. She was smiling devilishly, happy at the prospect of messing with the newly wed couple. It was nothing malicious. Friends do what friends do right?

"I didn't know at all! Oh whatever should I do now!" the girl said with a fake tone of helplessness. "Maybe I should get out of this plane and leave my darling friends alone to shag each other in their hotel room beds!" Her statement caused a few of the passengers to turn their heads and the pair sitting down ducked their heads in embarrassment.

"Yuki shut up, sit down, and explain this right now!," Jurina said, her voice in a loud whisper.

Yuki smiled and happily sat down. She looked at the pair beside her,"Now I really didn't know you guys were here. I planned this trip months ago with Mayu but she had to go help out her anime voice actor friend. It's a bummer but I'm not wasting my ticket. And Rena you're sitting in Mayu's seat right now."

"So that's why this seat opened up last minute!" Rena exclaimed,"And here I thought they just made a mistake!"

Yuki giggled at her friend's silliness,"Well I'm here now with you guys. I hope we both have a long deserved vacation." She smiled at her friends, although they didn't reciprocate it.

____

"Are you serious? Why are our rooms next to each other?" Rena said, standing outside with their suitcases in the hallway. They were on the first floor because they couldn't afford one with a good view, since, of course, they were college students.

"I don't know but this is great!" Yuki said before taking out her key and scanning it, entering soon after. Noise could be heard from Yuki's room and they stood incredulously listening to it. The door slightly opened and Yuki's head poked out,"I'll see you on the beach!"

____

   "Hahahahahahaa This is fun! Hahaahhahaha!"

Rena and Jurina looked on miserably at the girl playing with the sand like a little kid. Tiny tears were about to explode from their eyes but they remained steely throughout. They were determined to make this honeymoon work.

   Somehow.

"Come Rena!" Yuki took Rena by the wrist and she lurched forward, being pulled by Yuki to the ocean.

Rena just let it happen although she soon regretted it right after as she could feel daggers behind her back, piercing her very being. Jurina's eyes were probably on fire, filled with fury, as she looked on at the pair running happily towards the blue ocean. Somehow, they wished this honeymoon would work out.
Yuki bothered them throughout the day. She would pull Rena into bizarre shops, heckle loudly when they were only ones in the movies, and she ate dinner with them. A dinner they reserved, specifically, for them to talk—alone. Jurina and Rena got home in the late hours of the night, their fatigue showing vividly in their faces. Yuki had taken a toll on them. Sure, they think she meant well, but she was energetic—too energetic. They've never seen her like that before.

"Let's just sleep Rena. I'm too tired." Jurina opened the sheets and snugly situated herself in it, ready to fall asleep. "I know what you're thinking right now. We'll avoid her tomorrow and if we can't let's just tell her frankly. So come. I, at least, want to share this bed with you."

Jurina's words made Rena cast a slight smile. She nodded, agreeing with Jurina, and went in the open sheets, meeting Jurina's embrace. She hopes it will be more peaceful. Trouble is the last thing she needs.

Is it just me or it's shorter than usual? Maa ii... It seems Yuki is trying to disturb their honeymoon :ding:... Poor Rena and Chuukara, they can't feel the honey moon since it was summer and summer means Amakuchi in control.  :on gay:

Oh, and this.

How is Mayu there when she was supposed to be helping her seiyuu friend?

Omg you saved me again! I kept thinking Mayu because she's the main in a new story I'm conjuring up but it's not quite up to my standards yet so it's not out. Thank you so much again!

Also it's a bit short because it seemed right end it there for now.

A/N: You know how long and time consuming several AP classes, college applications, and watching 48/46 shows are? A damn long time! I haven't updated in well over two months and this is just a short chapter to get myself going on the writing stage again, especially since college apps are done. Enjoy!

P.S.: Thinking of releasing a Nogi fic since I got into them. I just need a pairing! I literally have several stories planned out.

It's Bout' Time

Summer. If Rena were to get any closer, it would've been controversial and she didn't think Jurina would've liked that. They were stuffed on a boat with other tourists and they didn't realize that it was one of the most heavily requested boat tours that they could've taken. So right now, much to Jurina's displeasure and Rena's discomfort, Yuki was happily wedged between the two, snugly resting on Rena's shoulder, a smile evident on her face as she felt the heat emanating from Jurina beside her.
Rena glanced apologetically at Jurina, who looked away jealously and crossed her arms, mad at the situation. Rena then looked at the girl resting her head on her shoulder and her face became hotter, matching the temperature at the current moment.

   "This is nice isn't Rena?"

Rena nodded, not knowing what to say, and looked towards the blue waters. She just let Yuki stay there on her, resting gently. She didn't even try to push her off and she definitely didn't try to protest. Sure Jurina may be mad about that, but she should know that when it's summer those kinds of things are far from who she was.

   "And we are done!"

They got off the boat, Jurina much quicker than the rest, and they were thanked by the tour guide for coming. Yuki was clinging on Rena's arm as they went towards the girl who was resting against a white shack designed to be a bathroom. She had her arms crossed and her face definitely didn't look too amicable. When Rena saw that, she gulped, knowing of hard times ahead.

"That was fun! Jurina lets come here again!" Yuki said that as she let go of Rena and clung, instead, on Jurina's arm. Jurina roughly pulled her arm away from Yuki. She then looked at Rena for a slight moment and walked away from them.

"...I should've done that," Rena said under her breath.

"What was that about?" Yuki then clung, again, on Rena's arm. Rena looked at the connection, hoping to find as much strength to do what Jurina did and leave, but her arm felt like jelly and she couldn't muster up the courage.
Rena, instead, smiled courteously at Yuki before she said,"I don't know. I'll talk to her later."
Yuki let Rena go again and said,"Go now. I think I took it too far." Yuki smiled apologetically.

Rena smiled back. "Thanks,"she said before running towards the figure walking along the docks.

Countless apologies later, they were now walking side by side, holding hands on the sandy beach, the waves crashing in and out. The sun was about to go down and Rena felt peaceful. It was tough to finally calm Jurina down and although she felt a slight demonic aura coming from the other girl, she knew it'd be alright.
"Jurina I'll say it again. I'm sorry."

Jurina looked to her side and smiled slightly. "You've said it enough times Rena. I forgave you already."

Rena sighed. "I feel like if I don't say it, you may forget and you'd be mad all over again. I don't think I can handle you being that mad again," she explained as she looked forward.

Jurina tightened her grip on Rena's hand and Rena looked at her. Jurina looked pensively at her, her eyes filled with grateful affection. They stopped walking and just stared into each other's eyes.

"I won't forget it Rena." She raised the connection between them. "See this? It's us together and we'll never be apart, even if we let go. I may not be the most perfect person. I may scream, yell, and get angry at you but know that I'll never leave you no matter what you're other...parts do."

Rena shed a tear, the words hitting her deeply, and with a sudden jerk in her movements, they were kissing as the sunset bloomed and the waves crashed on the beach.

It was the perfect, most romantic sight this one person in the distance saw and she couldn't help but smirk

What did Gekikara do that made Jurina left Rena? And why Yuki is too flirty in this story? The part when their honeymoon was disturbed is like Love in Tokyo.

Please update this story

Mistake

“I’m sorry. I never thought it would end up this way.”

Rena sighed while she sat on the couch in the living room. She couldn’t bear to answer Yuki much less look at her. If she did, who knows what she’d do to the girl?

A hand made way to her knee. A comforting hand. But in the end, it didn't make her feel relaxed in any way.

“Let’s get her back okay?”,Mayu said.

Rena couldn't help but nod. What was she going to do? Sit back and do nothing? No way.

“So Rena…” Mayu’s voice trailed off.

There were so many thoughts running in Rena’s mind. There were too many to organize that everything was just a jumbled mess. She became speechless. Mayu talked for a good five minutes before she actually sobered up and paid attention.

“…and so about the honeymoon. Yuki feels sorry about it. She was just playing around!”

   Rena suddenly looked up.

“Playing around? Are you saying that almost ruining my new marriage was just playing around?”

Yuki stood up, a daunting figure to Rena, and she was calm and articulate with what she said next.

“Don’t get mad at her Rena. We are both in the red. Remember…you didn’t resist.”

—-

Rena was walking back from the beach with Jurina, feeling good about herself and about life really.

They came across a convenience store, a small and quaint 7-11. Jurina tapped her and said, “I’ll buy some snacks for us. You head back to the hotel.”

Rena agreed and she said goodbye to the girl but not before she yelled,”Don’t get the red packs! The green ones are better!”, as Jurina entered the store.

It was a quiet five minute walk back to the hotel. There wasn’t much action in this part of town at night.
She felt a cold sensation on her neck and she thought it was just the wind but when it moved in strange ways she knew it wasn't it. She turned around and she sighed in relief. It wasn’t anything dangerous…or so she thought.

   “Yuki what are you doing?”

“Your neck looked so pretty so I thought I’d give it a little peck.”

“Wait that was you? That way more than just a little peck.”

   “T’was an exaggeration.”

   “…”

   “…”

“Where were you?”, Rena asked to break the awkward silence. She hadn’t seen Yuki that much during the day.

“Oh…I’ve been here and there. I just walked along the beach.”

“Really? Me and Mayu did too. How was it? Relaxing?”

Yuki nodded. “Saw some interesting stuff. People sunbathing. People running around. People kissing in front of kids trying to play in the sea.”

Rena’s face burned bright red. There was only them that was doing that kind of…activity.

   “You saw that?”

Yuki beamed her smile and nodded. “I see everything.”

Rena collected herself and pointed up. “You heading to the room? Mayu’s coming back with snacks.

“Yeah just give me a sec.”

   “Okay then. See you-“

A pair of lips crashed into hers and she didn’t know why, but she let it happen. Her body relaxed and she let herself be lost in the clutches of the other girl. A feeling of euphoria washed over her and a tear drop fell from her eye. It was like heaven, like every worry she had was swept away from this one, long kiss. But in reality, that wasn't the case. In reality, every worry she would have would come crashing down…right at this moment.

Plastic dropped. The sound of cans rolling along the concrete. A hand over the mouth. Eyes bulging. Hearts breaking.

The pair broke their kiss and quickly snapped their heads to the broken figure.

“Jurina. I’m sorry.”  Rena forgot who said that.
