How/when you got to know her: It was during the time of A4r, K4, B3, when my favorite was still Maimai but she was on TV so much and so busy working outside of the theater. Many people, myself included, thought she'd graduate at the end of A4. She was hardly performing at the theater at all and when she was, I wouldn't win a ticket. Feeling I should be prepared for her leaving, I decided to pay more attention to all the other girls because I think that having a favorite member to support can make things easier but I didn't want to feel forced to pick a replacement. At that time, Asuka was pretty much unknown outside of the theater. She had just been promoted to Team K a few months earlier, LODs didn't exist and she wasn't on TV at all. And during the team songs, she wasn't exactly prominent either. At first I didn't even notice but watching K shows, I eventually found myself watching only her whenever she was on stage. Despite being in the back or on the sides a lot, she always smiled, always shined - it felt good watching her give her best. Even before Maimai had left, I had found my new favorite and I'm really happy that it happend like that.
My favorite thing(s) about her: She really shines on stage and she looks much better in person than on TV or pictures. Her dancing isn't the best but she has a really nice voice to make up for it and she can also be quite funny if given a chance to talk.
My disliked thing(s) about her: Right now, there aren't any...

A memorable performance: Haru ga kuru made, during AX2008. I wish she could've sung it with Maimai instead of Michiru....
A moment that made me laugh: During an LOD, a fan interrupted her introduction, praising her. She was so confused that she totally forgot what she wanted to say. So cute.

A moment that surprised me: Her birthday show this year. It was so full of emotions and apparently her pictures in Flash caused more trouble than we thought.

A picture that I like: There are quite a few, especially the mid-2008 gachas but I don't have scans of them. The one Barrie posted is also great and of course this one:

A video that I like: Basically all of them. The first episode of Suiensaa was nice, she was very cute in that.

I'm happy that she's become more popular since then but I also hope she's given more chances to shine in the future. Fanboy talk aside, I think she's got a lot more potential that she simply couldn't show yet.

on her birthday performance in the theater she apologised for them and I've not seen the clip but there was crying from her and some members at the time.

The opening skit was about this and later, even though it was her birthday celebration and should've been a fun day, she wanted everyone to hear it in her own words so she talked about it again. I have the full LOD and I could cut those parts and upload them but I'd rather never watch it again....
The thing I don't understand, though (or maybe I missed it, I was quite busy at the time), is how this could've happened in the first place...

The photos were probably part of her first attempt at becoming a talent/idol/famous and then she didn't take off with her agency or whatever and then joined akb48.
It's likely aks knew about the photos cuz I'm sure they need to know those things.

How/when you got to know her: AKBINGO, LoD's
My favorite thing(s) about her: She's fucking HOT.

She's also really good on AKBINGO, sings exceptionally well, and is a good performer.
A memorable performance: She's really good in K5's dakishimeraretara. Really good as in she fucking owns that song.

A moment that made me laugh: Her meeting the wrestler Kobashi Kenta on AKBINGO. She's such a fangirl

How/when you got to know her: Not sure. I knew about her early on, because she stood out due to her prettiness.
My favorite thing(s) about her: Eyes, smile, hair, tummy
My disliked thing(s) about her: I wish she'd step up more. She seems to 'hide' behind the big names of team K, while to me SHE is also one of the big names.
A memorable performance: Paris!!
A moment that made me laugh: Definitely the Kobashi related stuff.
A moment that surprised me: Those pics in flash and that's she's friends with Amina
