I have to say, I'm realllly digging Echo, it's been kinda stuck in my head since I first heard it.  It's fun, upbeat, and not overly cute.  Kinda makes me think of summer for some reason.  It may not really stand out like their single releases, but it's quite an enjoyable and catchy song, and will certainly be in my regular song rotation for awhile~

I might be weird but I like my CD package to be as simple as possible, no fancy stuff. It's easier to keep that way.

'Echo' is definitely a pretty ace song. I mean, one of the few in k-pop that I liked the first time. Better than RDR. No contest (unless all you're here for is there sex appeal that I'm told so much about )

That RnB version of Star x3 was worthwhile. Not sure if I'd call it on par with the original or above, probably because I haven't listened to the ballad version that many times. I'm not sure whether I should be ashamed or not in saying that the first thing I thought of when I heard that RnB beat was 'I Believe I Can Fly'. I think I'll choose not. What can I say? Space Jam is movie to be loved and treasured

I can't blame it on Tiff cuz I mean...come on, let's face it... she probably likes it. Sigh.

 

Sorry Pops, but I have to give her that. I know you don't like me laughing at Tiff, but in this case, it just can't be helped.

EDIT: Oh yeah, it's because of songs like 'Echo' that people sing out loud certain lines that very quickly make them feel foolish. Thanks k-pop, for bringing about the aural decay of the world.

After my first listen of "Echo," I was like, "WTF is this shizz?" Then, it got stuck in my head (an echo in my brain, if you will), and I gave in to the cute, girly laughter in the background.

About the Engrish even with the English-speaking members... I would think that there'd be the whole "You're the artist. You sing what I tell you to sing" complex holding them back from saying anything.

At least "Echo in my brain" isn't as bad as "If you wanna pretty, Everyone a pretty." (BTW, I still miss Sung Hee.)

No, to be real, I RESPECT Tiffany a lot. It takes a lot to get my respect as an artist/entertainer, and even more for you to get my respect as a person if you're an artist/entertainer. And Tiffany's done both. She's a strong, honest, kind, hard-Jessi-working girl. There's so much more I can say about her.
But that being said, SHE'S JUST SO CUTE. And because of that... I seriously can't help but nitpick all the typical fany things she does

LOL When are Sunny's pictures never a bit much? Or...when is she never a bit much? Her and Yuri probably trained together to be some sort of porny duo. Yes, I made an adjective and a verb just to describe Sunny and Sunny's actions. Been using it for a while lol

Well SNSD has been part of SM and has been in the game for... almost three years? BoA, Shinhwa, and DBSK started writing music around their third year as well. If nothing's done about this weird English in SNSD's third year, I'm gonna boycott. ... OKay probably not, but I'm never gonna stop bitching lol. I'm not asking for the girls to write music per se, but it'd be nice if right around now they had some say in their music. Especially since they've been working with the same writers/composers since debut. If not, I'm sure they can pass it off to someone they're more comfortable with and who can talk to the writer.
And also, it seems like the Engrish has gotten PROGRESSIVELY worse since their debut. Which makes absolutely no sense and kinda annoys me cuz I used to hold SNSD in high regard for having ENGLISH in their songs....Then again, a lot about SM and a few of their artists have been getting progressively worse, but this is not the place.

Yeah, it's weird that the English has gotten worse. Before it was pretty much perfect and I thought it was because they had 2 American members in the group and maybe they'd helped correcting some. Now it's just weird English.

Has the english gotten worse? "Echo in my brain" makes since, kinda. "Echo through my brain" probably would be better. I did notice Yuri saying something in on music core, I think it was supposed to be "Run Devil Run" but the pronunciation was really unrecognizable. I still think Tiffany is much better singing in english than korean though. 

I totally thought Echo sounded old school! At first I thought it was gonna be grating but the inflections work and the melody is really pleasant. It doesn't have the superfluous sounds thrown in like RDR.

Sunny makes everyone elses album picture look lame. Porny approval +1

For realz? I don't. I think her English singing can be pretty fall at times, probably a combination of the added pressure, and the amount of training she would have had on her Korean singing.

i just heard Echo.. i think its nice.. it keeps on playing in my head long after the song stopped on playing..
here in Manila we call it LSS or Last Song Syndrome, the kind of song where its just keep playing on your head and most of the time you're singing it unconsciously.. it swings both ways coz' its mostly applicable to "annoying" songs, though it can apply to good ones too.. it's the latter this time for Echo..
