Title: Go, Speed Racer! Gooooooo! (to Hollywood)
Post by: reyfer on April 28, 2007, 04:49:52 AM
Not content with re-making Japanese flicks like "The Grudge," "The Ring" or "Shall We Dance"; or even making films about Japan, such as "Letters From Iwo Jima" and "Memoirs of a Geisha," Hollywood is now making movie versions of Japanese anime, starting with "Speed Racer," Sunday Mainichi (5/16-13) says.

Hollywood has no originally left.
All they do now is remake old movies, tv series to movie, cartoons to movies, remake foreign films, video game movies, comic books to movies, now going to a classic anime series.....oh, and can't forget Hollywood's constant illness of Sequel-itis.

Thats Hollywood all over, though.

And it isn't the first time the Wachowski brothers find inspiration in Japan. Remember "The Matrix" was inspired by (and some scenes are completely taken from ) "Ghost In The Shell".
