A La Vista man was charged with felony theft after he spent $80,000 his bank deposited by mistake in his account. (http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070427/D8OOQP7G0.html)

"If somebody sticks money in your pocket and you spend it, you can't be convicted of theft," he said.
for real!? huh... that's weird.
If I was in his position I would probably spend all $100,000 though xD

Bank is just unfair. If we over spend it, they will put into jail.
If bank miscalculate our account, they will freeze that account for months. If we don't catch the mistake, money are gone.

This happens occassionally. It's bank-fraud to spend the money.
Same as if someone leaves $500 in your mailbox thinking it was your neighbour's. You can't just take the money.

If someone puts $500 in my mailbox, I'm off spending!!

I'd transfer it into an account that gives the highest interest and just sit on it for a while.

If they put it in my account they'd play hell getting it back. That'd buy alot of hookers and booze in Miami.
