Title: Scientists to build robot society
Post by: Foxy Brown on April 30, 2007, 02:27:17 PM
Scientists in Dundee have announced plans to create a "robot village" in an effort to learn how different cultures emerge in society. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/tayside_and_central/6587377.stm)

Why not call the village 01 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/01)!  And then deny the robots their rights!  And then impose economic sanctions!  And then invite their representatives to the UN, but not put them through a bomb detector first!  And then launch a nuclear war on them, creating a permanent nuclear winter!  And then let the machines use humans as a power source!

For some reason "Robot Society" reminds me of "Octopus Royalty". I wonder how those two will emerge! ;D

Hrm.  While I really really don't see what this is going to accomplish, I guess the fact that at least one robot will be playing a fucking trumpet makes it all worthwhile.

I just wondering how "intellectual" these robots are. I could only imagine the findings being very small.
