When the neighborhood dry cleaner misplaced Roy Pearson's pants, he took action. He complained. He demanded compensation. And then he sued. Man, did he sue. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/25/AR2007042502763.html)

Mental suffering, Car rental fees, custom pants for 65 million?
Greedy bastard doesn't deserve one cent and should be counter sued for the same amount.
-
This is an abuse. He should be disbarred.
-
Seems fair enough. :wahaha:
-
Fuck him! only in America and only a lawyer/judge would conceive this!
-
I think that lawyer is a judge also. But what an abuse of a privilege.
-
this is ridiculousss....stupid american lawsuit...
-
Strange shit happens in this world now....
-
This is just plain stupid, the only time i would sue for that much for just a pair of pants is if its made out of solid gold or it could perform miracles, won't he just go buy another pair of pants its simple as that, what a greedy man :temper:
-
The sad part is, America is infamous for their lawsuits. It's pretty much determined that you can sue for anything, and win. Like that case where the burglar hurt himself and sued the people he was robbing...
-
A judge had to leave the courtroom with tears running down his face Tuesday after recalling the lost pair of trousers that led to his $54 million lawsuit against a dry cleaner. (http://www.boston.com/news/odd/articles/2007/06/12/judge_suing_dry_cleaner_cries_over_pants/)
-
crying for his pants loooool when all of this happen? in the past it was simple, they gave you your money or something in replace for the pants and that´s all but making a case of 10 years becouse he don´t like the service and stuff? give me a break, no wonder USA it´s so dangerous and full of "weird" people... blame canada lol (south park rules)
-
this is lame and crazy....
the lawyer should just die... suing the dry cleaner so much money for just a missing pants....
:stoned:
-
The poor man wants publicity so hard... Even if the dry cleaner wins in the process, they were forced to spend thousands for layers to defend them from this fool, and who's gonna pay for that? Just another proof that the lawsuits in USA are out of control. Where I am from, someone calls you monkey, you call him back donkey... But in America, you sue him, cry about mental suffering and request a compensation of 500,000. Great. But really, you can imagine: with 65 million in his hands, this bastard would be really dangerous.
-
I would doubt this lawsuit would actual work and the judge would win. But if he does then all hell will break loose all over the States full of lawsuits
XD

If I were the owner of the laundry place, I would spent 1milk to hire a killa and get it over with..... if you know what i mean.
65 mil my ass. :shakeit:
-
he didn't eat his morning rations of Wheaties, breakfast of champions, so he was forced to rely on being a lowlife... :tama-mad: XD
or maybe he just thought he was a judge...could go for the insanity plea
-
hahahaha what a nutcase. I feel bad for the Chungs.
I would just like to add, that Pearson's actions are in no way representative of the people of the US. Yeah, some of us prefer an old fashioned beat down, verbal abuse, and even murder for even just staring at another person the wrong way.
-
He probably knows that there's no way that Laundry Service would pay him $65 million... He's just being mean ruining their business. :(
-
I thought someone would actually update this by now
Well the case was "throw out." The judge of the case, not the idiot, says Satisfaction guarantee does not mean fulfilling outrages customer demands  All I want now is the laundry owners to countersue the hell out of the judge/lawyer
-
Pearson is gonna have to pay the Chungs' court costs and Judge Bartnoff said he'll decide later if Pearson will have to pay the Chungs' legal fees.

I heard today that the laundry owners/their lawyers or whatever are trying to get silly judge/lawyer to pay the cost of them having to go to court for this nonsense because apparently, it was a whoooooole lot. And also, judge/lawyer is probably losing his job for being so ridiculous.
-
wow such a good news for small business owner. Hope they don't go back to Korea because of this bad customer. Customer can be wrong too.
-
I feel so sorry for the cleaners... bad luck... :( $65 mil. just for a pair of pants... it's just stupid... -__-||
-
CNN just reported they had to close there second cleaning shop, missed the rest of the text, something about emational stress? I'll bet. seems this is still going...
