Title: Hit man with conscience thwarts plan to kill family

A man tried to hire a hit man to kill his family, including his 7-year-old daughter, even requesting that she be shot in the chest and not the head so there could be an open casket at her funeral, authorities say. (http://www.cnn.com/2007/LAW/05/21/family.plot.ap/index.html)

This man is very cruel.  He should be put away for a long time for the safety of his wife and children.

But also very unprofessional for the hitman to tell his mom about his business. But of course better this way,

He had 121 guns and a machine gun when he violated the restraining order a 2nd time... and they considered him a threat AFTER he hires a hitman?? I understand there's complications, but wow, seems to me they got lucky. I'm sure a little more time and he would've just done the deed himself.

Wow, it only costs 2000 dollars to a hire a hitman to kill your family?

That's cheap. What's his number?

The standard price for a professional hit in Canada is $10,000-15,000. Though part of the discount may be because he blabs to his mother. :P

Most murders happen between people who are close. So this sort of behaviour  from the guy doesn't surprise me.
Glad the hitman had a conscience.

now they caught him?  dude was found lingering at his wife's house with a gun, broke the restraining order and he wayyyy too many guns... they could've caught him for attempted murder can't they?  and the professional hitman, they met at a county jail, and is a gang member, that ain't a professional, cuz pros don't get caught and have a long criminal file,  they do it discreet with no trail.  anywayz glad the family is safe from the deranged husband and father that try to kill them both.  i dunno the whole story and why did he want to kill his wife.  but the daughter is innocent.  that damn psycho...
