I don't think you need a ticket to buy the merchandise, because it's just outside the actual area where the concert will be.

Just came back from a full day of concerts. I attended the night concert of this through a friend. He had an extra ticket. I wasn't planning on going, but he offered at FC price, so I decided why not? Boy, am I glad I did. Maki has awesome stage presence. She can sing, she can dance, what's not to love?! And the concert had guy back-up dancers which is a nice change from the H!P concerts I've gone to.
Anyways, this was one upbeat concert with lots of dancing. It was also her b-day, so there was talk of what she did the day before her b-day and other b-day's previously during the MCs. This year's plan is to take a cake home and eat it with her family. Speaking of family, they were all there to watch her performance today. They were around the middle on the 2nd floor.
Some main hightlights were awsome costumes. There wasn't any I didn't like, except for the encore outfit... It was a pink cowboy outfit... the pink was overkill. lol For me anyways. Never was a fan of pink. Other hightlights included us singing happy birthday to here while a big cake was rolled on stage. She tried to blow all the candles out the first time, but didn't make it, so she was like I'll finish from here, but the dancers was like no and re-lit them all again. lol Another highlight was a 2nd encore! After Ai no Bakayarou, the lights didn't come back on again, so we were like hmmm? and she came out to sing one more song. It was Namida Hoshii? Sorry, I'm not a big fan of Maki, so I can't remember her songs. Naimida something. Hehe. But anyways, 2nd encore! That was awesome.
Ok. Need to get to bed. But yes awesome concert! whee! :D :D

Night. Just remembered another thing. While talking about Birthday and surprises, she mentioned how during rehearsal, she was walking to the elevator and when the doors opened, there was her mom! She was utterly surprised. lol

I just got back from the afternoon show in Matsudo. I decided to go when I woke up this morning - Good decision I must say. But my ears still hurt. That was loud! Since I didn't have a ticket I just went there and was lucky. It's quite a small hall and it wasn't even sold out. Since I bought my ticket there, my seat was rather in the middle and the ticket itself is a plain one, without the nice picture on it. And also, since I have to save some money for next month, I only bought the cheapest pic set (500 Yen) as a souvenir. In the beginning they used a smokescreen or something to display the opening. Unfortunately there were no screens at all so I couldn't see her face very well. They should have used the smokescreen more often, at least for the slower songs. But I'm still happy because I'm still able to hear :roll:
I don't have the album (will buy!) so most songs were new to me. I really liked it a lot and I think she knows how to use sexy very well :inlove:
The only thing I have to complain about is getting nearly blinded by a guy who brought a huge glowstick. Every time he swung it around I had to look away. Some screaming was also annoying, but I guess it has to be expected. For some fans, this must be better than sport. Some where really sweating when they came out.
Now I really wish I had bought the album so that I could write a better review. And I also hope I'll get my own PC soon so that I don't have to use the bookstore again....

I love that song sooo much, but I almost start to cry when I hear it and seeing Maki crying (she's crying when she sings it) and knowing this is the last DVD Maki will realese makes me even more sad, but Im happy they will realese the DVD :D

:heart:, I have been feeling abit cold towards her since her decision to drop H!P (even though she's the victim in many ways, if not all) but this totally melted my heart.
She seems so ashamed to be crying, but it was really a wonderful performance. :heart:
One question though, was the tears because of the support of her fans, because of her birthday or graduation? From what I've heard the final concert will not be the one released on dvd :cry:, that would be such an awesome experience! And I would die for that LIFE performance. Hope it's on the extras!!!

It doesn't seem like "happy" crying to me. Was this concert maybe during the later part of her tour? Her birthday show was a month before the announcement right?
I think something is up....The Musume knew about her graduating far enough in advance to be at her show, so UpFront should have known it, and there should be LIFE out there. This seems really fishy to me now.

She probably got mixed emotions knowing this was her last birthday performance as a hello! project artist.
The birthday concerts seem like a pretty big deal and having her Mum come see her as a surprised and all.

Watched the dvd-rip (DVD is still on its way from Amazon), total 2h6m.
Hm, not having an extra group to back her up, the first hour was somewhat tame with the 'interludes' by the dancers.
The last part was more energetic.
BTW, I expected them to start the wave from both sides, would have been something else to have it meet in the middle :)

a bit one the late side, but i really enjoyed this one. Haven't seen any of her concerts since her debut concert. She's such a good dancer and singer at the same time. All her powerful perfs just justify it. WOW suteki was my fave perf. It was so great to see a more cheerful number after a string of serious toned and sexy ones~ Wish her all the best right now!

I friggen DIED at the medly of her recent songs leading to How to use LONLINESS. It was a great concert.
