Prologue
The world is going crazy, I can't blame it. People are going crazy, I can't blame them either. Times have changed, more the the worse than to the good. Out of frustration and hopelessness crimes started to overtake the newspapers. Once one of the safest places in the world, now a country led by the weak and puppets. How did this happen you ask? I don't know. Who I am, this is what I can answer. I am Koji Tsukamoto, a criminal. A criminal in they eyes of people who know me. It is the year 2007 and I live on Tokyo. I am working for a small gangster group called the "Yentown Brothers". Their "homeland" is Toshima. A small ward in Tokyo. They got their name from a movie called Yentown. It was about a fictional city in Japan, much like Tokyo, where a high poverty and crime rates ruled the streets. In Yentown and in Toshima itself are a lot of foreign citizens. More than the half is Chinese, about one fifth Korean, the rest Filipino and American. Before you ask, I am Japanese. You probably don't understand how a Japanese like me could get into a mainly foreign ward and in one of their gangs. Let me explain it to you.
Although I work for them since nearly 15 years, I am not a old man. I am actually 21. You could be confused when calculating the age of when I entered this gang. The reason is simple. When I was six, my parents got killed in a hostage/stand off situation. They where at the wrong place at the wrong time. With six I was old enough to understand that they didn't die for any reason. I know that it was because of some fights between gangs. Newspapers only wrote about Yakuza, but there are many more groups I know today. After I lost my parents I became desperate. My relatives didn't want me, I can't blame them. I was a terrible child. After a couple of months of being alone, they send me to my always drunken uncle. He worked as a delivery boy for the some small gang in Tokyo. My uncle didn't care about me and I didn't care about him. I wasn't even really moved it, when my uncle got killed, too. By then I didn't already know what happened to him, he just never came back home.
Then, in the same year when I was still 6, I got an angry phone call. The man didn't even give me the chance to speak, he only shout at me to deliver the packet until the next day. He must have thought that it was my uncle on the phone. I might have been smart for a six year old, but I get scarred when some older men shout at me. I knew my uncle was a delivery boy, but I didn't know who or what he delivers. The packet stood in the floor, an address on top. I didn't really think about what I do when delivering this packet for my uncle. It was the first time that I got in contact with the Yentown Brothers, when I delivered the packet. They were surprised when they saw me. After a few phone calls later, they found out about my uncle. I don't know why, but somehow the boss liked me. The first years were actually fun. Some of them played with me all day long, from time to time I was able to earn money for washing their cars or cleaning guns. When I was 10, the boss gave me the chance to become a real criminal. He found out about my parents and promised me to get details about the men who shot them. All I had to do is to lie and cover for them. He let me think about it for a few days. After a lot of thinking, I went to the boss only said: 'Teach me how to fight and shoot!'. The boss liked my attitude and agreed. So between standing outside of a building while they murdered someone inside, they taught me how to shoot and fight.
At the age of 16 the Yentown Brothers started to expand really big. This was when a lot of Japanese entered the gang. One day one of these Japanese tried to overtake the boss' reign. I don't want to go into the details, but the boss got shot at the end of the negotiations. The Japanese, the new boss, killed nearly all the close men of the old boss. I wasn't afraid when he pointed his gun at me. He must have noticed this, that and my age. He offered me work as his private bodyguard. I didn't really care about the gang or their politics, all I wanted was money and to find the people who killed my parents. Of course, I knew that my old boss used me and my urge of revenge, the new boss won't make a difference. I don't have another chance to find out about the killers. So I continued on protecting, killing and torturing people, all in the name of Yentown Brothers.
Now, 2007, I still work for him. It actually became a bit more quiet in 2006, so I got time off. The problem was that I never really experienced fun since I was 10 and so I never know what I should do in my free time. In 2007 the boss and the whole gang became more nervous and more violent again. It looks like there are one or two rival gangs that get on their nerves. As I said, I don't really care about politics. My job is to fulfill my job, that's what I do, that's what I am good at. Today the boss ordered me to come and so I came.
I knocked at the door and he called me in. He sat behind his desk, the TV running some news show. 'Sit down', he ordered me without even look at me. He was more concentrated on the show than on me. 'Look', he said. I turned to the TV, but I couldn't really make out what he wants from me. All I saw on TV was a beautiful girl. 'You know this girl?', he asked. No, I didn't know this girl. All I do in my free time is sitting at a bar, but not drinking alcohol. Recently I also started to play cards with a couple of men in the bar. Next to those activities I work out and sleep. You see, I don't have much time to watch TV. 'This girl is Takahashi Ai, from the group Morning Musume. You heard of them?'. Actually I did hear about them. Since last year I noticed that a few members of the gang, and even of other gangs, started to watch and fight over a couple of so called idols or idol groups. Once I heard that even the bosses are somehow fans of them and it seems to be true. 'They search for security staff members. This will be your new job.', he said out of the blue. 'My new job?', I asked. 'Another gang placed honeypots over the years and this year they seem to be even more aggresive', he explained. Honeypots you ask? Honeypots are kind of like traps the gangs set to boycott the favorite idols or groups of other gangs. Silly, I know. Like I said, people became desperate and bored. The gangs try to control the number of fans with this. Today crimes are so normal already, that they started to use the number of fans to decide which gang is bigger. This is no joke and apparently this is a serious battle. My boss explained that enemies cleverly placed their traps so that three girls of the so called "Hello!Project" had to leave already. One of these traps even effected their main project, Morning Musume. Yentown was able to control the fans until now. Fans are also desperate and bored these days and newest floating rumors about the current leader Takahashi Ai seem to have caused a massive uproar. The news show reported that the agency got several serious threats and are now worried about the health of the girls. They are hiring a professional bodyguard group now to protect the girls as much as they can. Now I started to understand what my boss wants. 'I am supposed to be one of the bodyguards?', I asked. 'Yes, you are going to make sure that nothing happens to this girl or the other girls.'. 'You are going to be her personal guard and my personal contact person inside the agency. Her safety is your job!', he added with a clear voice. This job isn't that different from my other jobs and so I agreed without any objections. 'You are going to start tomorrow', he told me on my way out.
Alright, at least this means that I don't waste my time in the bar.
Let's play the babysitter for some odd idol girls.

I'll be the first to say "HOLY!! O___O".
...HOLY O____O
Now that that's taken care of, let's get to the comments, shall we?
I'm liking the idea of a noir fanfiction. Not many around in this forum (unless I'm blind..which I usually am). I also like the main character's past. Sets up a really nice story with loads of potential (or so I think..). For some reason, I laughed a little at

Don't know why though. o.O
I shall be waiting to see this story fly...[returns to the shadows..]
-
Woooooooooooo very very interesting indeed. Bodyguard to the girls. That's one awesome job :yep:
I can't wait to see how the story progresses. GJ!!
-
Awesome prologue. It does it's job properly (that is, of drawing the reader's attention and getting them curious about what will happen in the remainder of the story). Can't wait dude. :)

Am I the only one who read "When things turn gay" at first?
-
Thanks for the comments. It's nice too see that a few people actually like this kind of story.
I actually have finished a few 'chapters' already, but I didn't want to post them all at once.
It would have scarred away the readers.
In the beginning there will be daily updates. Later I will try to keep up with daily updates, but probably won't be able to make it all the time.
Have a nice read! :hee:

If that was the case then this would have to go in the Perv Fanfics section.

Day 01 - Day One
I am on my way to the station, it is raining.
The night has been like any other night. I sat in this bar with my glass of water and ate the tiny portions of peanuts they offer to make the place look more friendly. As friendly as a bar filled with thick smoke of cigarettes and creepy looking gangsters can be. I got more details about the job. It basically really is only babysitting. I am not even really in the group of amateur bodyguards who company them to any event to give a somewhat safe impression to the media and the people who made the threats. I am supposed to stay in the background, looking like a relative or friend of the girls. The boss really seems to be into them. He should do this himself, but why do I complain. All that matters is the money and he pays good. After another almost sleepless night I spent a long time deciding which weapon I should bring along. I basically have no idea how strict they will be. With my lifestyle over the years I actually made a lot of money. There are no hobbies, I spent most of the money for guns and card games. The S14-45 stealth from Para was already in my holster, when I decided to not take a gun with me. How high are the chances that I need armored force anyway? I choke down the cold coffee and left the building.
The raining stopped and I can already see the station.
I am supposed to meet with this Takahashi Ai first. It is a friday, so she would be in the Palace Side Building of MBS to record some kind of radio show, the boss told me. I still had a lot of time and decided to drive with the Marunouchi Line down to Chiyoda. My place is pretty close to Ikebukuro Station. On my way to the station I heard some screaming in a side-street. I don't know why, but I decided to check it out. It was almost clear what I was going to see, when coming closer to the screams. Two wannabe criminals try to force themselves on some girl. She looked Korean, if you care. Anyway, I turned. It wasn't my business and they probably some small delivery boys of our gang anyway. I was on my way out when she found the power to free herself. 'Hey! You! Don't let her get away!', one of the boys shouted at me. When I turned, the girl already stood in front of me. She was scared like hell, but I signaled her to go. She sure was frightened, but when the two came closer, she took the right choice. No, I didn't hold her. I gazed after her, when one of the boys yelled at me. I slowly turned my head and looked in his eyes. He became a bit insecure, so his buddy there continued to talk for him, 'Why didn't you stop her? You are also a YB, right?'. JB, who do he think he is. Only retarded say JB. I didn't waste my breath on them and just turned without saying a word. This boy then made a big mistake, he crabbed me at my shoulder. They really don't know who I am, silly kids. I crabbed his arm, move it to his back, pressed him against the wall while dislocating the arm and maybe even broke a couple of fingers. When I let loose, he slid down the wall like mud. His friend ran away when I turned to him, nice buddies. I didn't want to waste any more time and let him run. Back at the main-street the girl watched everything instead of running away. She thanked me, but I made it clear that I didn't do it to help her. I already quit this dialog, when she continued to yell me things like 'I didn't need your help anyway.' and shit.
Nothing really interesting happened at the subway station. The ride was boring and Ĺtemachi Station was packed with people, the usual crap. In Chiyoda the sky started become more clear. Even the sun found a few spots to enlighten the city. Another short walk and I was there.
I went inside and the people at the info told me that the recording didn't even start, yet. Somebody must have given me the wrong time then. They phoned with the manager upstairs. At least she knew that I was coming today. The exaggerated reception girl told me that I could go upstairs and pointed at the elevators. Without much of an expression I turned to the stairways. I am annoying, but the expression on her face was priceless. Arrived at the 3rd floor, I noticed a lot of doors. Luckily some woman waved at me from a door. She told me that she was the manager.
Inside the studio I was first introduced to the staff, then to Sanma and Shouji. Then surprisingly Mikitty, yes I learned the nicknames, came into the room, although I enquired about the past of Hello!Project/Morning Musume and I didn't think she would be here today. The last person to greet was Aichan, she gave me a friendly bow and wanted to shake m hand, but I refused. There is no need for such friendliness. Aichan was a bit confused, but continued as if nothing happened. Well, nothing DID happen. I stayed next to the manager for the entire recording. It took longer than I thought. I catched myself daydreaming for a short while. Somehow my eyes and mind were focused on Aichan. From this angle I was only able to see her from the back and slightly from the sight. During this moment my eyes started to walk, beginning from her hand, over her smooth angled arm, up to her should, to her ears and then slowly focused on her soft moving lips. The manager must have noticed and gave me a jolt. I sure was a bit embarrassed for getting caught in the act, but I didn't show it. I gave her an evil look instead, causing her to move a few steps away from me. This was my normal self again.
Later we only had a short monologue about Aichan being glad that I was going to be around her. She told me that she really was frightened over the threats. Some people at the agency will show me the letters on Monday. Then she told me that she was going to meet with her family due to a birthday and that she will stay there over the weekend. This basically meant that I have nothing to do until Monday. A car picked her up from the studio. I asked if I should come with her, but she denied. I wonder if it was because of the handshake, if she noticed my short gazing or if she just didn't feel to comfortable around me. Anyway, on my way back to the station I bought a small bottle of water. In the train I thought about this moment again, but scolded myself for being so unprofessional.
Congratulations on your first of many to come boring days....or so I thought.

Hmmm...so the main character does his best to give off an aura of being aloof/not being personable. As much as it's probably is just a natural part of who he is now, it's probably also a (at least partial) defense mechanism for himself. He doesn't seem to want to let anyone get close to him, that way, he won't care about them, and thus won't be hurt if something should happen to them.
-
=O Koji (the main character) is already checking out his "client"? With a "client" like Takahashi Ai, I can't blame him, but..=P
And once again, I'm laughing at the sarcasm in this story o.O Though I think it's just me and my weird sense of humour..
I'm thinking that the cool persona that Koji's displaying is a metaphorical shell as well. With a past like that, it's not likely you'd be able to survive without developing some sort of shield to block off any pain.
I'm interested in reading more :D [insert poof of smoke here]
-
Wow, even pretty smart interpretations here.
@ jafeijay...You are right about the sarcasm. It was my intention and you have a good sense of humor!

Note: I hope this is still ok for this section...I mean..it should be still okay...right?
Day 2 - The Window
Saturday had passed and Sunday started to be like any other day in my life.
In the morning I went to this small shop at the corner, when suddenly my boss called me on my mobile phone. It has been a long time since he used this to contact me. The times became pretty boring. Being a gangster is more about politics and economy instead of frightening and violence nowadays. I think that even the usual and normal crimes outnumbered the organized crimes already. Anyway, back the phone call.
My boss was a bit angry, because I didn't watch over Takahashi Ai. He ordered me to stay around here, even if she doesn't say so. Fine, I blew my Sunday and drove to Fukui, this time with my car. It's a sapphire-black BWM M5 limousine. It has black leather seats, of course. How did he got such a car, you ask. My old boss gave it to me as present for persuading, more or less violent, another gang to join us. It is pretty fun to drive with this car, but it's a bit too noble to be used in gunfights.
In Fukui I parked the car a bit more outside, to not attract too much attention. My boss gave me a rough description of where her family's house is and how it looks. Don't ask me why he knows such things. It is still bright day and I can't get too close to the house. I don't want to loose her trust already. As a bodyguard you somehow have to be trustworthy. I checked the surrounding, always a few blocks away from the house. It is a pretty quiet neighborhood. There was a small park close-by and I spent some time there with sitting and thinking. There wasn't a particular topic I thought about. You can say I pretty much daydreamed most of the time.
With the arriving of the evening and the dusk coming close, I started to walk around the house again. I still kept a bigger distance. Soon it became a clear and dark night. This was the right time to get a bit closer. I always kept an eye on the surrounding corners and bushes. Any person could be a possible attacker. My person attracted way too much attention on the streets. Luckily I found a nice big tree close to the house. After checking that nobody watched, I climbed up to an high and strong limb. I made myself comfortable up there and I had a nice view at the house and three of four sides of it. It became pretty late and there was no sight of a possible threat, yet. I noticed that there were no cars parking close the house and not any person left the house. The party must have been on Saturday probably. From a source I know that Aichan is at home and the light is also on.
I was almost asleep when suddenly the light in a room turned on. It was a room on my side and I became a bit worried to get discovered. Aichan entered the room. Now with the light on I was able to check the interior and it seems like it was a bathroom. Anyway, when I changed my attention back to Aichan, I noticed that she put away her top already. She was undressing herself and I couldn't believe it. It seemed like she didn't notice the window at all. With her front towards the window, she quickly unbuttoned her jeans and slowly slid down the pants to reveal her amazing legs. She was now standing there with only her underwear. She raised her well-trained legs a bit to pull of the socks. Right when she was on opening her bra, she turned around. 'Damn', I thought, 'only the backside'. She puts her bra away and quickly stripped down her pants. She was on her way to the shower, when she suddenly turned her face towards the window. I was totally surprised, quickly pulled my dark jacket above my body and almost fell from the tree. 'Shit, what if she saw me?', I thought. When I looked again, she blocked the view with the shutter. 'Did she see me or not', went through my mind, together with 'She is stunning.' and 'I almost hit the jackpot, too bad she noticed the window.'.
Anyway, my mind just got an overload of Aichan and so I decided to check if some shop is still opened and sells some water. I climbed down the tree and walked past the house, when I suddenly saw something strange. It was too dark, but I clearly could her something from there. I walked a few steps back and to the side. I tried to find a way to get to this spot from behind to have the surprise effect. Luckily I found a small place to pass the bushes without making noise. Sneaking is one of my specialties and so I caught some man off-guard. He sure was scared like hell and couldn't get a word out of his mouth. I looked at him, he must have been a simple obsessed fan, no threat. Although I already knew the answer, I asked him what he was doing here. All I got was frightened stumbling. I asked him to nod if he was here because of Aichan. He nodded. 'Do you want to hurt her?', I asked. He denied. I decided to give him a lesson and pulled out my knife: 'Do you want me to hurt you?'. Now he was finally able to get out some clear words like 'No' and 'Please'. I told him to leave and never do this again or he will loose his most precious body part. He nodded and walked away. First slowly and later he became faster until he was running. I laughed to myself. Basically I did the same thing he did. What a weird world.
Later I found a small store and bought a bottle of water. I then decided to go back to my car and park it a little closer to the house to be able to act in case of an attack. It was dark and the car black. This gave me enough reasons to park as close as possible to have a nice view on the house. While fighting with myself to not fall asleep, I still thought about whether she saw me or not.
I yawned: 'What a body...'
-
Well, he might be trying hard to not get close to anyone, but he IS a guy after all. :D

O________________________________________O
Maybe I should make my comments in chronological order with respect to the story...
Firstly, I suppose it's a nice thing that the boss (will he remain unnamed? o.O) is so worried about Takahashi. =) Might only be because of that fan control thing, but it's still not a bad thing to provide bodyguards for our idols right? =P It also helps that Koji doesn't really care what his job is, but is willing to do it to the best of his abilities. =)
Next, it's rather "convenient" for Koji to be sitting in the tree across from the bathroom, isn't it? And it's rather surprising that Takahashi (I can't seem use her first name since every time I try, I think of the translation of her name and then the sentence would sound weird to me o.O) didn't realize that someone could possibly sit on her tree and watch her bathroom. o.O
And Koji's actually worrying about that sort of thing? Wow...based on his cool persona, I thought he wouldn't be afraid whether Takahashi saw him.
Should be interesting when the two meet up back at H!P HQ. I'm looking forward to reading more! [poof]
PS: Thanks for the compliment. XD

I needed a scene with 'skin' ;) and tried to come up with an idea to include it. It's still early in the story and all I could think of is a tree. XD
Sorry if it may have looked a bit unrealistic. I hope the scene was worth reading anyway
And Koji's actually worrying about that sort of thing? Wow...based on his cool persona, I thought he wouldn't be afraid whether Takahashi saw him.
Yea, the question is why he is 'afraid'. Afraid might even be the wrong word. Anyway, it's only day 2.
Good to know that I have at least 2-3 really curious readers.
:)
..until the next 'day'. ;)
-
Hey!!! Good story you have there :w00t:
First time I read a fic like this....really interesting
I'll be another curious reader....waiting for the next chapter... :hee:

It makes sense if you think about it. If Koji gets caught peeping in on Aichan, she'll want him to be fired because he was being a pervert. Once Koji's YAKUZA boss finds out that he got fired from this really easy job, Koji's as good as dead.

Day 3 - The wolf and the herd: part one
I was just dreaming a weird dream where I was a headless man, when suddenly the bang of a door woke me up. After rubbing my eyes I looked at the house and suddenly was all awake. Aichan got in her car already. Not soon after this the car started its engine and drove away. This wouldn't be a problem, if I wasn't supposed to be at the studio before her. I quickly started the car and drove out of Fukui, too. Luckily I knew a faster way to Tokyo. Good for me that there was no cop stopping me for racing. Must be the beginning of a lucky a day for me, I thought. Usually I am never able to really drive this beautiful car at high speed.
Without too much happening during the drive, I entered Tokyo and soon reached the studio. I parked the car one street away from the back exit. Again I used the stairway instead of the elevator to make my way upstairs. The girls were supposed to make some pictures for their next single. On a big cardboard stood "Onna ni Sachi Are", it could be the name for it. I looked around, but there was no Aichan. 'My lucky day', I thought, when suddenly somebody clapped on my shoulder. I turned around and there she was, Aichan. My face must have looked like an excited blowfish. I got relieved when she said that she had just arrived. When she went to the other girls, I had to think about last night again. One person of the staff quickly disrupted my thoughts with ordering me to move to the side. I wanted to punch him so bad, when I noticed the table with food. 'Damn, only salads and cookies...what do these girls eat?', I asked when seeing the food. Anyway, I took a few of the cookies and looked around the room to inspect all the staff people. Some gave me a scarred and some a confused look. Then I noticed that I didn't change my outfit and must have looked like a creepy gangsters, what I am. There was no time to change clothes now, I had to stay close the girls now.
The photo shooting now started and first they did a couple group shots. Their outfits are really color- and joyful. Every girl having other combinations of clothes. I guess it suits their music. Later the single shots started and a few girls came to the buffet. I must have scarred this one young girl, when I gave her a serious look when she took one of the cookies. She never came back again, poor girl. Actually I forgot her name at this moment. This other taller girl, Koharu, even started a conversation with me, although I didn't really ask her to. Anyway, through here I got the name of this young girl. Her name was Mitsui Aika. Finally Koharu stopped talking to me. I looked over at the set, when I noticed that it was Aichan's turn now. While watching her, all the images of last night popped up in my head again. Her leggy outfit didn't really help me concentrating either. I had this image in my head of Aichan unzipping her pants and slowly revealing her great legs. I was all in my fantasy, when I suddenly heard: 'She is great, isn't she?'. It was Risa standing next to me, watching Aichan as well. It was the second time already somebody caught me in the act. I only gave her a short 'maybe..' and took another cookie. 'It's my turn now.', she said and went away. When Aichan passed me on her way to the bottles of water, she gave me a short mysterious smile. 'What was that? Does this mean she saw? No way. She couldn't see me. I was too far away...and it was dark.', I thought. Like I said, it was only a short smile.
I took a moment to check the whole room again, watching all people and the girls. While checking all the girls I noticed that Mitsui was missing. I stopped Sayumi and asked her where Mitsui went. 'Maybe she went to the bathroom, I don't know.', she replied. I wanted to affirm this myself, when suddenly somebody called me. It was a person from UFA, signalizing me to come to him. 'Your boss told me to give those letters to you', he said. Not a big surprise that some people in here are on the payroll of the boss. The letters were the threats the agency got a while ago. I read through a couple of them. Most sounded harmless and looked like written by a kid. They really had a bad handwriting. 'Why don't people use computers?', I thought. I took the more serious ones and observed them thoroughly. While passing the uninteresting letters back to the manager, one letter slipped and fell to the ground. I picked it up and wanted to give it to him, when I suddenly noticed that it was actual a serious letter. 'I must have missed this one', I told him. "Never let the young of a herd unwatched!", was written on it.
It came to my mind like a flash. I rushed to the bathroom. It wasn't the message alone that caught my attention, it was the symbol under it. A "P" with an upside down "2" next to it. The symbol of another gang. I went inside the bathroom, but nobody was there. I ran back to the set and looked around, no Mitsui . I heard a car outside of the window. I looked outside and saw an old car parking at the back exit. It looked like it was waiting for somebody. I told one of the staff to keep all people in here until I am back. Aichan noticed me and asked what the problem was. All I could tell her yet, was to stay here and not go anywhere. I told the other still adolescent guards to safe all entries on this floor and downstairs. Rushing down the stairway I heard a weak scream outside and took a look through the window. It definitely was Mitsui in the hands of some man. I continued downstairs and pulled my gun, when the car was leaving. It was too dangerous to shoot, I could have hit Mitsui. I took a deep breath, put my gun back and started to run to my car. Luckily they drove off in the same direction.
'So much for my lucky day...', I thought.

Ooooooooooooooooh now Koji's gonna be a rescuer! :cool1:
It's a good thing that he noticed that note, though the staff (at least those who had seen it) should have been able to put 2 + 2 together themselves.
And  at how he scared Aika at the cookie table.
-
hahaha...Koji in action!!!! :mon taichi:
poor Aika...seems like this wasn't her day :mon lol:
-
KOJI TO THE RESCUE!! :cool1:
Anyways, back to chronological order..
A dream about being a headless man, eh? Could it possibly be a foreshadowing of his death? o.O If so, I now wonder what would lead to his death. It's possible that he gets killed for not doing his job well (or just not doing his job at all..).
Moving on, it's ironic how the "day" started as a "lucky day". I suppose I should have suspected something before the chapter ended. Then again, I wouldn't have thought it would be Aika taken first, even though she IS the youngest.
I laughed a little at Koji's thoughts when watching Takahashi. It's rather obvious that he's attracted to her (or at least, her body..>_>), so he should just admit it. Though I'm wondering how you're going to portray Risa in this story. I'm getting the sense that she's either in love with Takahashi, or she's overly admiring the new leader (or just both).
I'm interested in seeing how this will continue...[poof]

Day 3 - The wolf and the herd: part two
I ran towards my car, always keeping an eye on their car. With my remote I unlocked the car, smashed the door open and jumped on the seat. The engine started and the pursuit began. At the beginning I had to catch them and drove fast, but soon I slowed down my speed. My guess was that they didn't notice me getting into a car. For a little while I drove, more or less slowly, a few cars behind them. Suddenly they accelerated and turned right. They must have became suspicious and noticed me. There was no other chance than to speed up, too. Good for me that my car has more than enough power under the hood. They really had no chance to shake me off. It was early afternoon and the streets were quite empty. The pursuit endured for a while and I already though how long they will try to shake me off.
They turned into another street again. I followed them quickly, when suddenly I had to hit the brakes really hard. Their car stopped and parked there in the middle of the street. I wondered what it was about, when the driver got out of the right site. My engine was still running and I was really curious what he was intending to do now. Then he pulled his gun out of a sudden and shot at me. He shot multiple times, but I modified this car with bulletproof windows. However, I hit the reverse gear and drove a few meters back to be able to get out of the car safely. Not soon after I started to drive back, he finally noticed that he can't really harm me from there and was on his way back to the car. This was my chance. I switched the gears again and accelerated. Thanks to my car's amazing acceleration I was able to gain speed really quick and aimed at the man. He was on his way back into the car, when I hit him and the door really hard. Both got smashed with my front. At the left I was able to see that the other man was trying to get out, too. I quickly opened my door and stood out of the car. Of course he noticed this and was trying to drag Mitsui out to use her as his shield. Mitsui, however, was smart enough to fight him and bit him into his hand. He let loose of her and now was totally uncovered. I shot without hesitation and hit him into his right shoulder. He stumbled a few steps to the back and tried to aim the gun in his left hand at me, when I shot him into his chest. After he hit the ground, gasping for air, I went to the left side of the car to get Mitsui out. She first wasn't sure whether she could trust me or not, but I was able to persuade her to come with me. I sat her onto the passenger seat. Before I got into the car myself, I noticed another car driving away at the other side of the street. I wasn't really sure why it has been there. Anyway, while driving out of the street backwards, I noticed that the man I hit with the car was still moving. I dragged him around their car and finished him. Mitsui didn't have to see this. She saw enough already for today. I should better drive her back as fast as possible now.
During the drive I noticed that this girl was still bewildered. I asked if she was okay, but she didn't really answer. She started to cry and I tried to find the damn tissue box. When I found it and offered her a tissue, we suddenly got hit really hard by another car. It smashed into us from the front right. I guess I don't have to explain, that such an impact on the side where you seat is not really enjoyable. Additional to this I was concentrated on Mitsui and so the crash came out of the blue. All I can remember is that the car even made a role. Soon I must have hurt my head really bad and became unconscious.
I was becoming conscious again. My head was hurting incredibly. Soon I noticed that I was in chains. I opened my eyes and looked around. It was a dark and moist room. It looked like some old factory or warehouse. 'Oh, he is awake', I heard from the right. He was playing cards with another man. I checked how good the chains and cuffs were, but it looked like there was no way of escaping for now. One man than stood up and knocked at the door. Soon somebody opened it. During this short moment I was able to see Mitsui in the other room. She wasn't chained, but didn't look to be in a good condition. I can only speculate what they did to her. Anyway, the man coming in closed the door behind him and started to walk towards me. 'What a silly person you are', he said, 'chasing and even killing on of my men...'. This guy must have been in a higher position in "P2". He continues: 'We will show you how we handle such situations. Now if you excuse..'. Right when he finished his sentence, some hard thing hit my head. It must have been a bar or baseball bat, I don't know. All I know that I was unconscious again.
I felt something wet on my hand. Then I felt something on my head. It started to increase and I woke up. The starting rain awoke me. I lay on the ground that quickly became mud with the rain. I tried to look up. There was a car standing a few meters away. One man came to me. He threw towel at me, saying that I could use it. There was also a second man there and it sounded like they were the same two from before, who played cards. They started to laugh at me and lit on a cigarette each. I tried to get up on my knees. My back and my head were hurting really bad. I didn't have a shirt anymore, but didn't know why. Just now I noticed that it was already dark and there was no Mitsui around. 'Did they kept her for such a long time? If I am right with my guesses about what they did to her, then... .', I couldn't finish my thoughts. She was only a kid. There was an extreme anger starting to rise within me.
The two men didn't really pay attention to me. Instead of using the towel as towel, I slowly started to put stones lying around me into it. I wrapped them into the towel and stood up. It looks like they really didn't know who I am or who I worked for, at least those two guys didn't care about me at all. They were pretty much surprised when I stood in front of them. There was a certain confusion among them, but I was nice enough to end this confusion. I smacked the towel right into the face of one of the two, then turned and hit the other one. The second got smacked at the car and didn't fall. Instead he tried to pull his gun. Before he was even able to get the gun completely out of the shelter, I grabbed it, quickly pulled the trigger and shot him in his leg. With a hit of my elbow into his face, he finally kissed the dirt. The other one, the one I hit first, lay on the ground holding his face and trying to pull his gun. He was shivering so much due to the pain and fear, that he didn't really succeed in doing this. Without wasting too much time, I simply shot him in his leg as well. I looked at both and made a decision. I killed the one I shot just now and picked up the other one, telling him to come with me. I picked up the second gun and ordered the man to get into the car. He followed my orders and didn't try to do anything stupid. I always aimed the gun at his head. The keys stuck and I started the engine. The gun in the right hand, aiming at the person left next to me and the left hand on the steering wheel. The radio started with the engine. I turned it off and noticed the clock. It was shortly after midnight.
'Let's show them who I really am', I thought.
-
Bummer, had to smash up his car. Oh well, being a yakuza, he'll be able to get it fixed for cheap (if not free :P).
Before I got into the car myself, I noticed another car driving away at the other side of the street. I wasn't really sure why it has been there.
Another car eh? Probably backup for the first set of kidnappers.
Just now I noticed that it was already dark and there was no Mitsui around. 'Did they kept her for such a long time? If I am right with my guesses about what they did to her, then... .', I couldn't finish my thoughts. She was only a kid. There was an extreme anger starting to rise within me.
Koji's actually expressing (even if it's privately, to himself) concern over what these guys might have done to Aika. Even yakuza have some sense of what's right/wrong.
'Let's show them who I really am', I thought.
Don't get too carried away now, remember that your main objective here is to find Aika.

Day 4 - Branded
So I was in the car with this other man I shot in the leg before. It was a few minutes past midnight and we were on the way to their location. On the way I asked him what they did with me. He first didn't want to reply, but after I introduced his forehead with the dashboard a few times he changed his mind. I couldn't believe what he told me. They actually branded me their logo on my back. This way I would never forget who I messed with. Damn those bastards. I continued to ask him about Mitsui and it looks like I was right. Their plan was to literally destroy their young souls, so they would quit out of their own. Aika was only the first victim. He couldn't tell me why, he was only a little crook after all. We arrived at the house and he told me that they have a guard at the door. It didn't took much time to come up with a simple trick.
I told him to get out of the car and to go to the door. I stayed close to him and was right next to the door, pointing the gun at him. The door had a small observation slit. I ordered him to knock and a man opened the slit. He didn't expect him here already and asked him what he wants. He tried to come up with stupid reasons, when suddenly the one inside stopped talking. I was confused, but noticed that my little friend here used his eyes to point to my location. Luckily the other man wasn't that smart and didn't understand him. He asked him what this was about. Then was going to open the door. I waited till the door snapped open, then grabbed him and smashed him against the door for trying to betray me. This way I killed two birds with one stone. The man inside got hit by the door. I rushed inside and before he could realize who I was, I shot him. I grabbed the other one and pushed him against the wall. 'What was that?', I asked. He can't answer it and so I just literally punched his face into the wall. I took out the magazine from the gun of the man lying on the ground and continued inside. The first room was pretty big and I can't remember anything. I was just going straightforward, when suddenly a men entered from a door on the right. He was pretty surprised and confused. All I had to do was to aim and shoot. One shot was enough to end his confusion. It looked like the people in the room ahead heard the shots and rushed to the door. That it wasn't really clever noticed the first guy opening the door. I shot him in the head and went into the next room. One man at the left was already aiming at the door, but I reacted faster and shot him two shots. The third didn't have a gun and tried to rush to a room on the right. He opened the door and was already one step in the room, when one of my bullets made him fall into this room. Through the door I noticed this one man who talked to me earlier. He ordered somebody else to deal with the situation. I shot, but only hit the wall. The gun now was empty. I moved behind some cover to pick out the second gun. Two shots hit the wall right next to me. My cover was only some small table. I had to come up with a trick in order to move to the column. I looked up at the magazine I picked up earlier and at the empty gun. Soon I came up with a trick. It was about time, because the table didn't block bullets at all. I bought time with shooting a few times without much aiming. During a short moment, when he was reloading, I threw the full mag into his direction. He noticed it right when he finished reloading. He was going to shoot again, when noticed the flying mag and there was the moment. During this moment he wasn't fully covered and concentrated. I came out from behind the table, shot my last two bullets at him. The first bullet hit him in the shoulder and he fell backwards. I quickly moved to the door, picked up the mag and loaded the second gun. Earlier I already put out the empty magazine of it. With a fully loaded gun, I killed him. The other man was gone. I heard a door at the front and rushed to it, when I suddenly saw Mitsui in another room. It was a hard decision, but I let him escape.
I went to her and noticed that they chained her now. She looked really bad and only starred at the floor. I told her to wait a short moment and searched for a key. One of the men had them in his pockets. I freed her and helped her to stand up. There was no energy left at all and I had to carry her to the car. On our way out I found my gun and picked it up. Inside the car she only starred straightforward, not saying anything. I tried to talk to her, but soon realized that there was no way to reach through to her now. I turned up the radio. After the song of another idol group finished, the radio announcer started to report: 'Mitsui Aika, a girl from the idol group Morning Musume is still missing. The police is doing their best to find her.'. The police was the last thing I needed now. I drove to a hospital and helped Mitsui out of the car. There still was the branding at my back and it would only be suspicious, if I they saw me. I leaned her at a wall and shouted towards the door for help. Some nurse came out and noticed us. Before she could reach us, I went back into the car and drove away. In the rear-view mirror I could see that the nurse and some doctor carried her in.
With the police and everything I wasn't able to drive back to the studio. I headed back home and parked the car some blocks away from it. It was night and nobody could have seen the branding. At home the first thing I had to do was taking a shower. The rest of the night I continued to think. I don't really understand how people can be so cowardly. The girls never did something bad to them. A whole gang warfare on the the account of these, mostly still young girls...
'What shame, pride became a foreign word. Let's hope this kid is okay', was the only thing I could think of at the moment.
-
It's nice to know he has a heart, he just shuts it off for his work.
-
They actually branded me their logo on my back.
Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig mistake.
I continued to ask him about Mitsui and it looks like I was right. Their plan was to literally destroy their young souls, so they would quit out of their own. Aika was only the first victim. He couldn't tell me why, he was only a little crook after all.
It could be that this rival gang has a vested (i.e. monetary) interest in other groups/acts in J-Ent, and see MM as competition. Gangsters don't like competition.
I was just going straightforward, when suddenly a men entered from a door on the right. He was pretty surprised and confused. All I had to do was to aim and shoot. One shot was enough to end his confusion.
Sounds like they've just got a bunch of lackeys here at this location. If they're holding Aika here, then not having someone more "higher-up" and experienced can be a big mistake.
The other man was gone. I heard a door at the front and rushed to it, when I suddenly saw Mitsui in another room. It was a hard decision, but I let him escape.
Oh, sounds like they might have had a "higher-up" after all. Letting him escape is probably not a good thing, since now the guy will just head back to HIS boss and they'll likely come back even bigger. However, the primary goal here was to find and get Aika back, which Koji has now done.
the radio announcer started to report: 'Mitsui Aika, a girl from the idol group Morning Musume is still missing.
Yeah, considering the circumstances, this was probably the only course of action Koji could take to help Aika while protecting his own ass at the same time. After all, if the cops were there now they would suspect that HE was the one that kidnapped Aika (the branding on the back likely wouldn't help). Right now no one can know of Koji's rescue operation. There would be too many questions which would prevent him from doing his job.
-
First off nice fic so far, like how the story is progressing...
He first didn't want to reply, but after I introduced his forehead with the dashboard a few times he changed his mind.
:hiakhiakhiak: :on lol:...i like ur writing style and Koji has a heart!!i knew it!!

Poor Mitsui :mon hanky:
Yeah...I'm glad to know he's not that heartless...and he's worried about her

Day 5 - A shaft of a sunlight
It's 05:00pm and I am on my way back from the hospital again.
Yesterday I wasn't able to sleep. Right at dawn I left my flat to go and talk to the boss. I arrived there early and the boss wasn't there, yet. The remaining time I spent some time on our own shooting range in the backyard. This actually helped me to relax. Soon I had been notified that the boss arrived at his office. I went upstairs and went in. He wasn't too shocked after hearing my story. They will deal with them. I was told to use the two day to relax and go to work the day after tomorrow again, which is weird. Anyway, the police was around the girls. The boss will clear the thing with them. There wasn't much to complain. It looked like I had a day off. That is pretty unusual and I didn't know what to do. First I went to the BMW car dealer who also works for the Yentown Brothers. I told him that I, more or less, lost my car. It was no problem and he gave me a replacement car. It wasn't exactly like my old one, but I would only drive this one until my custom made model will arrive in Japan.
While driving in the new car, I decided to pay her a visit, but I didn't want to attract attention. There was a street close to the hospital that didn't have any security cameras. This might sound a bit excessively cautious, but I am better off hiding until the boss clears everything. Besides, I don't trust the new boss too much. I am only in the gang for the sake of the old boss and to have a connection to the scene. All I wanted was some information about my parents death, although later I also started to like the money I get. Still, I would never be able to fight a war for this gang out of pride.
However, I sneaked into the hospital and no nurse noticed me. First I wasn't able to find Mitsui, when I suddenly saw a familiar face. It was Aichan standing in front of a room, talking with a nurse and some other woman. I passed them without looking them. This way I was able to overhear parts of their conversation. I was able to catch one phrase, 'I will go visit her tomorrow around 02:00pm again.'. Aichan is going to come back tomorrow again, alone. I didn't get any update on Aichan and so I left home to clean my weapons. Another really relaxing hobby of me.
This morning I did some workout and tried to get some more info on this gang war. Maybe some newspapers reported about this already, but there was nothing. I wasn't in the mood to ask a gang member either. It was finally half past one and I drove to the hospital again. This time I waited in the car until Aichan came. I decided to wait outside of the hospital. Aichan came out after one hour again. She walked straight to me, I raised my head and said hello. She sure was surprised and I friendly asked her out for a coffee. Aichan agreed and we went to a local cafĂŠ not too far away from the hospital. It looked like she didn't think that I had something to do with Mitsui's condition
She told me that the police is around them all the time and that she had to sneak out with the help of the other girls. It was the only way to visit Mitsui without a horde of police men. I told her that somebody kidnapped her. They tortured her before I was able to do anything. During the conversation we both staid really formal. I asked her about Mitsui's condition. 'Her condition is stable conformable to the circumstances.', she said. Although the situation must be really painful for Aichan, she didn't loose her smile. There is a certain strength in her I can't describe. Mitsui still is in a state of shock or trauma. She didn't say anything so far. Anyway, we tried to change the topic to some smalltalk, but didn't really succeed. Aichan actually also has been concerned about me. In the end I told her that I was going to come back tomorrow. She was a bit relieved. I guess my presence felt better than the presence of the police. Later I also gave her the number for my mobile. 'It might be useful', I said. Aichan agreed and smiled again. Then she waved a good bye and left. Her smile was the first shaft of a sunlight for me. The last days really were draining on my strength.
I arrived at home and decided to take a shower.
'I should get some rest later.', I thought.
-
mmm....glad that Koji took the initiative :)
-
Day 5 pretty much is a filler. I hope it wasn't too boring and long.
-
Day 6 - Handcuffs
The night was finally over. I should really consider buying a TV. Maybe it would help passing the nights. At least I got two hours of sleep tonight. It was time to go to work again, although it has a bitter feeling to it. Anyway, I just have to be better to not let something like this happen again. On my way to the door I noticed something lying beneath it. I picked it up. It was a letter. I was curious what this was about and opened it. 'The leader is lacking protection. You better hurry now.', was written in it. I didn't really understand what exactly that means, but I decided to hurry in the end. Are they trying to get straight to Aichan this time? This can't be true. They are not so bold.
On my drive to the studio I became more and more worried. I can not tell why I am so worried. Could it be that I especially care for her? I can not let such feelings influence my work. It is just a short fun fantasy in my head. I shouldn't bother about it. Anyway, I arrived at the back exit of the studio. It looked like the police is still around, but didn't care about safety too much. The police really is only a bunch of idiots. I wonder if they really tried to search for Mitsui in the first place. Still lead by those strange feelings, I rushed up the stairs and knocked at the room of Aichan. She opened the door and was surprised to see me already. It looked nothing strange happened. I was right in time for whatever was going to happen. She was confused, but I didn't want to tell her about the letter, yet. There was no need to let her worry for what might be a bluff only. All I told her was that I was going to stay very close to her today. With a bit of confusing she agreed in the end.
There was nothing important in the schedule and so we waited one hour in her room. We talked a bit about Mitsui again and other stuff to make the atmosphere more friendly. Suddenly somebody knocked at the door. I immediately jumped up, being very suspicious. Aichan asked who is there and the men responded that they are from the police. Not really knowing what they wanted, I whispered to Aichan to ask them what they want. They answered that they are looking for one of the bodyguards. Now I became confused. Why one of the bodyguards? Aichan asked the same and the answer kind of caught me off guard. They were looking for one of the bodyguards who has a weird branding on his back. He is supposed to be the kidnapper of Mitsui. Aichan looked at me and I signalized her that I don't know what they are talking about. Now it started to look like they know that I am in the room, because they added that his name is Tsukamoto Koji. Aichan turned to me again, looking more than confused. I went to her, but she stepped back. I couldn't blame her, all she had was the story I told her. 'What if I lied to her', she probably thought. Anyway, I looked around and there was no other way out. It would also be more suspicious, if I tried to escape.
I walked towards Aichan again, forcing her to listen to me. She did listen, but I can't say whether she believed me or not. I myself didn't know what the whole thing now is supposed to mean and so I made a quick decision. Aichan saw how I pulled out my gun and tried to run to the door, but I grabbed her. No, I didn't want to hurt her or something. All I wanted to do was to give her my gun. First she didn't understand and didn't want to take it, but I told her that it was important. She might need it. Of course she still was confused, but took it in the end. I walked towards the door, opened it and showed myself to the police men. They immediately took me into custody. Before taking me down they checked my back to make sure I was really the right person. Aichan also saw the branding, but I signalized her again to not believe anyone else. I really told her truth. I hope she realizes this before it might be too late.
The two men were bringing me downstairs and I took the time to try to find the logic behind this. Then it popped up in my head, the letter. All the time it was clear for me that it was P2 who gave me the letter, but how did they know where I live. Besides, it was Yentown's territory. Why would somebody from P2 risk to get into our territory to only gave me this letter. There actually was only one option left, but it was impossible. Did somebody from Yentown gave me the letter? This can't be.
I asked the officers about from whom they go this info about the branding and stuff. Of course, they didn't want to tell me, but one of the officers gave me a weird smile. I know his face, but I can't remember from where. All the way down I tried to remember where I saw him already. We were already downstairs and on the way to the police car. Then I remembered, before entering the car I remembered where I saw him. He actually was on the payroll of the boss. I saw him in some earlier job, he covered for us or something. It was too hectic at that time. If this is true, then...
I quickly pulled out the gun of him with my handcuffed hands and aimed it at him. He tried to calm me down by saying that I didn't know what I was doing, but I was more than aware of what I was doing. I told the other police men, who seems to be a real one, to give me the keys for the handcuffs. Of course, he first didn't want to. After some more threatening about me shooting his partner, he finally threw them to me. Actually I wasn't able to get off the handcuffs by myself with the the gun in one hand. I ordered him to open them. While he was doing it, I whispered to him that his partner isn't an honest police men and that he should walk away after opening the handcuffs. He couldn't believe it, but I told him to look for a tattoo between his neck and his shoulder. The handcuffs were open and was curious whether he walks away or not. He continued to look at me, his eyes filled with doubt. I signalized him to look for the tattoo. My friend here actually already knew what this was about, but it was no help for him anymore. His partner actually really looked for the tattoo and saw it. Now I told him that it was the sign of the Yentown Brothers. I also had one and told him to look for mine, while I was still aiming at his partner. He saw it and now seemed to realize. His partner actually is a criminal. After one minute he decided to walk away. I waited till he was away and walked closer my fellow Yentown Brother. 'You don't understand anything', he told me. Let's find this out. I ordered him to get back into the car. While getting into the car myself, I noticed that Aichan looked out of the window all the time. All I did was giving her a smile and drove away.
We drove to the boss' office. I let him walk in front of me all the time, with the gun in his back. Most people didn't really care, they knew me. We simply stepped into the office without a warning. It looked like I was disturbing them with something. The boss was surprised, but not shocked. He told me to calm down, when I heard a scream from the right. I turned right and saw some girl constrained at a chair. 'May I introduce, Maeda Atsuko from Akihabara48.', the boss said. 'Akihabara48?', I asked. He explains that this is another idol group and that P2 actually supports them. Anyway, I didn't really like what I saw and I still wanted explanations for the whole police incident. The boss told me to calm down again, but I didn't want to calm down. I don't like it when people play around with me. I shot this fake police men in the leg to get him out of the way and walked forward to aim the gun right at the head of the boss. The other men in the room pulled out their guns and aimed at me as well. Once again I asked him for an explanation, but he only told me to stop this shit or the others will kill him. He actually was right, my situation was far from good. I also didn't really want to kill him yet. All I wanted was information, but he told me to explain it tomorrow. The more he talked into me the more I calmed down, or so he thought. I only acted like I would believe him. I put down my gun and walked out, taking a last look at the girl. The boss ordered two others to accompany to the exit. I left the building, walking down the street. The two men were still watching me.
With the police car I drove close to my location. I went home and looked at the weapons.
I picked a couple of guns and thought: "The times really have changed...."

Day 7 - A good deed...
It's 5am. I am sitting in a bar with a glass in front of me. The problem is that the glass is still full. I am really not in the mood to drink. This means that something big is really going on in my mind.
I am going to tell you what happened last night.
Last night really was a tough one. There still is a feeling in me I can't explain. Am I really only angry because the boss played around with me or is it something else? I had the same feeling last night, but there was no time to clear my mind. I was really going to do a good deed, as weird as it may sound.
After I left the the boss and drove home, I made a big decision. I looked at the weapons and decided to not let this cowardly fight continue any longer. There is nothing wrong with fighting each other, but it should be done in the classical way, head-to-head. Actually I shouldn't care about this, but I started to see the cowardice since I met this Takahashi Ai. Although I have a lot of weapons, I only took two pistols, a light machine gun and a few clips for each of them. I made my way downstairs. On the street I saw a car parking. It came along just at the right time, since the police car would have attracted way too much attention. I walked over there, picked a pistol and smashed it into the window. Then I opened the lock and threw in the bag on the passenger seat. Of course the owner of the car had to show up and yell at me. 'This is my car, what the fuck are you doing?', he screamed. He quickly changed his mind and remembered that he was wrong. I guess the gun between his eyes was kind of a help for him to consider who the owner of the car now was. He became really friendly and gave me the keys without complaining. Now I didn't have to crack the car. The man must have been in a hurry, because he quickly ran away when I said good bye.
On my way back to the Yentown Brothers I started to become insecure about my plan. Is it really clever to go against them only because of this girl I don't even know? They were probably beating her, but I still had to take a drink before pulling this off. I stopped at a bar and took a couple of drinks. By the time I finished my third short one, I remembered something. A friend of mine was a guard down in the basement today. His name is Kazuaki. He would probably help me. I left the bar and phoned him. When he picked up I immediately told him to not say my name. I told him that I was coming over and that he had to help me. He was a bit worried, because the boss told everyone to not let me in. It looked like the boss knows me better than I do myself. He guessed that I might come back sooner or later to do something stupid. Anyway, I told my friend to get rid of the second guard when I phone him again. Kazuaki agreed and hung up.
It's already past midnight and I was really on my way to save this girl. This might sound crazy, considering the number of men there. Anyway, I wasn't on going to start a war. All I wanted was this girl. I had one pistols with me and the rest in the bag. This should be enough for a quick sneaky mission.
I parked the car in a dark side road and checked the building. Kazuaki was right on the phone about the guard at the door. They let this new guy stand there. He was my entrance card. I walked up to him and he recognized me, of course. He stopped me when I passed him. This wasn't really a surprise for me, since the boss ordered everyone to not let me in. Anyway, it was easy to trick this kid. 'The boss called me. He wants to meet me', I told him. This boy tried to look confident, but was shaking all over the body. Of course, there hasn't been any order like that. 'You must have missed it then', I continued to talk into him. He really tried to remember whether he missed an order or not. I ended this conversation with my next question. 'How do you think the boss will react when he finds out that you missed an order?', I asked. He became worried and I clapped on his shoulder. I told him that I wouldn't say anything, if he just let me in. He was insecure, but let me in in the end.
Now I was inside. Like usually, there wasn't anyone at the ground-floor. I saw the stairs to the basement and walked downstairs. There was a corner where I could hide. I phoned Kazuaki and let it ring two times only. He knew that it was me. Soon after the ringing, the other guard opened the door and walked upstairs. I quickly made my way into the room. There was no time for shaking hands. For my surprise I didn't see the girl anywhere. 'She is in the room back there.', he said. A room? The last time I was here there weren't any rooms. I am not into torturing and the last time I was down here was more than two years ago. Anyway, I walked towards the door, when Kazuaki suddenly stopped me. 'There are two men in there', he told me. 'Why didn't you say this earlier?', I asked.
However, I went already this far so that those men shouldn't be a problem. I told my friend to cover the door. He did it. I placed the silencer on my pistol and opened the door. One guy was still beating her. She really is blue and red allover the face already. The other guy was standing in a corner. He watched his buddy beating her. They got pissed about the sudden interruption of the door. The man in the corner turned his head towards me. I waited till he looked right into my eyes and shot in his head. The other guy stopped beating her and jumped up. He wasn't able to react fast enough to avoid getting shot as well.
The girl was still conscious and I untied her. She was too weak to walk alone and I had to pull her arm around my neck. I walked back to my friend and thanked him. Suddenly the door opened and the second guard came back. With beer in his hands he looked at me and the girl around my neck. He looked at Kazuaki with a look of inquiry, but Kazuaki punched him right in the face before he was able to ask anything. 'Hurry now!', he told me. 'You seriously only sent him off to get beer?', I asked with a smile. 'What about this boy at the door?', I continued. This boy really was a problem. He wouldn't just let me walk away with the girl. Kazuaki had an idea and went upstairs. He told me to wait here. One minute later he came back and said that it's all clear now. I made my way upstairs. The boy was gone. 'Beer again?', I asked, but Kazuaki only told me to better hurry. To be honest, I didn't know one reason to stay any longer anyway.
As fast as possible we reached the car. I sat her down on the passenger seat, jumped in myself and started the engine. Where should I drive her to? I asked her the same question, but didn't get any response. I continued to ask: 'Should I drive you to a hospital or somewhere else? ...home maybe? ...or to some friends?'. She denied every time. Now I didn't know where to drive to. However, I simply drove as far away from the Yentown Brothers as possible. When we were far away enough, I stopped at a bar. 'Want something to drink?', I asked, but she denied again. I guess she is in a trauma or something. Anyway, this didn't stop ME to get a drink. It was 5am.
The glass is still full and the man I was talking to fell asleep. I look at the watch and realize that it is 6am already. Damn it! I left the girl in the car for a whole hour already. I paid the drink and rushed outside. She really was still sitting there. It's dawning and I better get the car moving before somebody sees her face and becomes suspicious.
'But where the hell should I drive her to?', I thought.
-
Day 5 - A shaft of a sunlight
I was told to use the two day to relax and go to work the day after tomorrow again, which is weird. Anyway, the police was around the girls. The boss will clear the thing with them.
So the new boss has connections to the police? Do they know that he's a gangster, or do they think he's just running a bodyguard service or something like that?
She told me that the police is around them all the time and that she had to sneak out with the help of the other girls. It was the only way to visit Mitsui without a horde of police men. I told her that somebody kidnapped her. They tortured her before I was able to do anything. During the conversation we both staid really formal.
It's kind of surprising that Koji would tell Aichan that Aika was actually kidnapped. If he's not careful, she'll start to get suspicious and wonder how/why he knew that fact.
Day 6 - Handcuffs
The night was finally over. I should really consider buying a TV. Maybe it would help passing the nights.
Koji must not get a chance to spend much time at home other than to sleep.
On my way to the door I noticed something lying beneath it. I picked it up. It was a letter. I was curious what this was about and opened it. 'The leader is lacking protection. You better hurry now.', was written in it.
If it's written by the same people who grabbed Aika, then this time it's implying that something's going to happen to Aichan. :O
I rushed up the stairs and knocked at the room of Aichan.
That's true. Considering the fact that there's no way of knowing just how serious of a threat this letter is, if Koji can manage it, he shouldn't worry Aichan needlessly.
Oh shit, Koji's being set up! The letter must have been part of a plot to get Koji to be near Aichan so that they can then make it look like he was the one who kidnapped Aika! The branding on the back (which they did when they grabbed HIM) just clinches it!
I walked towards Aichan again, forcing her to listen to me. She did listen, but I can't say whether she believed me or not.
Question is, how much of the truth did Koji tell her? Did he include the fact that he's a yakuza member who was "assigned" to protect her? If he did, how would she interpret that?
The two men were bringing me downstairs and I took the time to try to find the logic behind this. Then it popped up in my head, the letter. All the time it was clear for me that it was P2 who gave me the letter, but how did they know where I live. Besides, it was Yentown's territory. Why would somebody from P2 risk to get into our territory to only gave me this letter. There actually was only one option left, but it was impossible. Did somebody from Yentown gave me the letter? This can't be.
It could be, if Koji's new boss is trying to get rid of him discreetly. It's probably pretty obvious how loyal Koji was to the former boss, as well as the fact that he doesn't exactly like this new boss. Could this all be a plot by the new boss to exterminate Koji out of some fear that Koji might come after him??? :dunno:
If so, then by involving the girls in it, this new boss definitely has shown that he's not trustworthy.
I whispered to him that his partner isn't an honest police men and that he should walk away after opening the handcuffs.
Damn, so it IS a conspiracy within Koji's own gang after all.
So Yentown is the one who started the whole "idol group" war with P2, and not the other way around?
Day 7 - A good deed...
I made a big decision. I looked at the weapons and decided to not let this cowardly fight continue any longer. There is nothing wrong with fighting each other, but it should be done in the classical way, head-to-head.
Indeed, a fight between gangs should only involve the gangs. To deliberately use innocents as pawns in their fight is despicable.
It looked like the boss knows me better than I do myself. He guessed that I might come back sooner or later to do something stupid. Anyway, I told my friend to get rid of the second guard when I phone him again. Kazuaki agreed and hung up.
Nice, but how much can Koji really trust this guy?
'Beer again?', I asked,
Hey, as long as it works. :thumbsup
It's dawning and I better get the car moving before somebody sees her face and becomes suspicious.
'But where the hell should I drive her to?', I thought.
Aichan's parent's house?

Driving Maeda Atsuko to Aichan's house? :?
Anyway, good comment again. ;) ...Thanks

Day 7 - ...has been overshadowed.
So I was driving around with this Maeda Atsuko, still without any certain direction. She didn't want to go to an hospital and it would have looked suspicious if I had forced her into one. But I couldn't just let her in this condition. I stopped at a drugstore and bought some basic aids and medicine. She wasn't able or didn't want to do anything herself. Alright then, I drove out of the city to a more relaxing and lonely place. It was a really calm area near a forest. At least I was able to get her out of the car. I sat her on a trunk and tried my best to patch her up. From the outside it looked like she didn't have any too serious wounds. After I was finished, I sat down next to her. It was actually a sunny day and we sat there for a while. I wondered if somebody already searched for her and how long she has been kidnapped already. The time there also helped me to think about the whole situation. It still was unclear why the boss wanted me in prison. I did what they wanted. Maybe I asked too many times about my parents or something else annoyed them. Still no reason to betray me. Something else was going on behind the scene, but what? Anyway, it was already past 12. I asked her if I can drive her somewhere now, but all she said was 'Thank you.'. This girl, I can't make head nor tail of her. Anyway, I wasn't going to force her to go somewhere. Who knows what problems she might have or how ashamed she really feels inside. Wait, why am I thinking so much about this? I have enough own problems right now. I thought this and drove back to the city with her.
Being in Tokyo again I still wasn't sure what to do about her, when suddenly my mobile rang. 'Come here...please...hurry..strange men...scared!', she said and hang up. It was Aichan. She hang up before I was able to answer. Strange men? P2? Whoever they were, they probably didn't want only an autograph. Damn it, this day was really starting to become stressful. It was between 01pm and 02pm when we entered Tokyo. I needed about 30 more minutes until I reached the studio, although I really rushed through the city.
I parked this car right next to my car that was still standing on the parking area behind the studio. Maeda of course stayed in the car. I jumped out, quickly checked the magazine and rushed up the stairwell. On my way up the stairs I heard a shot and stopped for a second. What happened? There was no time to think. I armed the pistol and walked a bit more carefully now. I reached the floor where Aichan's dressing room is. It wasn't clear whether the shot came from this floor or not. I leaned around the corner, the floor was clear. Slowly I walked towards the dressing room. Suddenly I heard a second shot. This time I could tell that it was close and that it was coming out of Aichan's room. I rushed towards the door and pressed myself at the wall. The door was open and I slowly tried to get a visual of the inside. I peaked around the corner and saw Aichan standing near the window with my gun in her hand. She was completely stiff and shocked. Aichan starred next down the door and I looked down. I saw an arm. It was the arm of a man. I already saw that the other side of the room was clear and quickly moved my whole body in. The other side was also clear and it really was a man lying shot at the ground. I closed the door and put back my gun. Aichan still stood there and aimed at him. I crouched down to check his pulse rate. He was dead. I tried to calm her down and took the gun out of her hand. She slowly moved her head from the left to the right and tears started to roll down her cheeks. I was a bit confused and turned around, when I suddenly saw a girl lying on the ground. There was no way I could have seen her from the outside, the angle was too acute. I walked up to her and asked Aichan who she was. 'R....r.....ri....risa..', she stuttered. I checked her pulse rate and she was dead, too. Man, what a day. Aichan collapsed all of a sudden and hit the floor really hard. I quickly rushed to her and sat her up. She became unconscious. Was this girl close to her or was it the shock? Suddenly I heard the voices of two men outside. It was only a matter of seconds. I laid down Aichan, picked my gun, made a 180° turn and shot one of the men right when he opened the door. The other one was able to dodge to the right quickly enough and took cover behind the wall. Bad for him that I noticed that these walls aren't really solid. I shot most of the remaining bullets through the wall right to the door and soon I heard something falling on the ground at the other side.
Wondering how much more men there were, I checked the floor. It still was clear and I began to wonder where all the people were. Then I heard some voice. First I didn't know where it came from, then I noticed a radio transceiver around the chest of one of the two men. 'What happened? Why aren't you answering? Fuck man, we are coming downstairs', some man said. I actually recognized his voice. It was the man from P2 I saw at the house where they kept Mitsui and me. They were upstairs and a couple of them were coming down. Although I usually don't run away from confrontations, I decided to leave with Aichan before they came. The floor was too narrow and a shoot out would have taken too long. I carried Aichan in my arms and quickly moved towards the stairwell. There I noticed that they were coming with the elevator. Not really smart of them. They were two levels above and I heard nobody in the stairwell. I changed my mind and laid Aichan down inside the stairwell. Then I reloaded my pistol and also armed the second one I was carrying with me. I placed myself in front of the elevator with both muzzles pointing at the elevator. Three, two, one and the door opened. The men didn't see this coming at all. I shot the total amount of both magazines into them. Some were able to pick their guns, but not to aim or even shoot. The elevator really turned into a blood-bath. This time I didn't care about attracting attention. I put both guns away and went to Aichan again. There probably were more men upstairs, but I already heard the sirens of the police closing down from the distance. I picked up Aichan and carried her in my arms to the car. This time I decided to switch back to my car. I laid down Aichan at the backseat and guided Maeda into the other car as well. The last thing I had to get was the bag with the magazines and guns. After everything was done, I finally drove off before the area got flooded by police.
For now I decided to just drive out of Tokyo. On the highway I noticed that the sun now has been clouded by thick clouds like it reacted to the recent actions.
"It sure will start to rain soon.", I thought.

So it finally came, one of the highlights of the storyline. I hope you liked it.

Driving Maeda Atsuko to Aichan's house? :?
Well, stranger things have happened in other stories. :P
So I was driving around with this Maeda Atsuko, still without any certain direction. She didn't want to go to an hospital and it would have looked suspicious if I had forced her into one.
She might be embarrassed about the bruises she has, as well as being scared of what might happen when the police come and take her statement (the hospital would have to contact the police to make a report once they saw the types of injuries she sustained).
It still was unclear why the boss wanted me in prison. I did what they wanted. Maybe I asked too many times about my parents or something else annoyed them. Still no reason to betray me. Something else was going on behind the scene, but what?
There are many possible reasons why Koji's boss would want him out of the way. It could have been something he did, or something that he fears he'd do if he was left alive. It could even just be due to the new boss's paranoia in wanting to get rid of anyone who was loyal to the old boss and who might take some type of revenge on him for his death.
Being in Tokyo again I still wasn't sure what to do about her, when suddenly my mobile rang. 'Come here...please...hurry..strange men...scared!', she said and hang up. It was Aichan. She hang up before I was able to answer. Strange men?
P2's payback for Yentown taking Maeda? Or maybe a ploy by Koji's boss to draw him out.
I peaked around the corner and saw Aichan standing near the window with my gun in her hand. She was completely stiff and shocked. Aichan starred next down the door and I looked down. I saw an arm. It was the arm of a man.
Aichan shot the kidnapper! :w00t:
I was a bit confused and turned around, when I suddenly saw a girl lying on the ground. There was no way I could have seen her from the outside, the angle was too acute. I walked up to her and asked Aichan who she was. 'R....r.....ri....risa..', she stuttered. I checked her pulse rate and she was dead, too.
RISA????? :dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
:frustrated: :pleeease: :tantrum: :frustrated: :pleeease: :tantrum: :frustrated: :pleeease: :tantrum: :frustrated: :pleeease: :tantrum: :frustrated: :pleeease: :tantrum:

So it's definitely gang vs gang now in their support of (or in this case, their acts of sabotage against) the idol groups they're associated with. Koji has to get Aichan out of there and FAST!
For now I decided to just drive out of Tokyo. On the highway I noticed that the sun now has been clouded by thick clouds like it reacted to the recent actions.
"It sure will start to rain soon.", I thought.
It's kind of scary seeing how quickly and easily Koji's train of thought can go from shooting people to getting away from police to thinking about the weather. Granted, he needs it in his line of work (otherwise he'd just become ineffective), but...still.

I know I haven't been commenting much..sorry. -_- I'll simply comment this chapter, since I've missed a lot. -_-
First off, RISA......DEAD?!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :pleeease: :OMG: :fainted: :imdead:
Going back to chronological order:

I'm surprised that Koji would be willing to get Maeda away from all that, even though she WAS quite innocent. Just goes to show that even the coolest gangsters have hearts as well =)
The time there also helped me to think about the whole situation. It still was unclear why the boss wanted me in prison. I did what they wanted. Maybe I asked too many times about my parents or something else annoyed them. Still no reason to betray me. Something else was going on behind the scene, but what?
Maybe the new boss wants to finally get rid of the ties from the old boss? I think there was something like that mentioned before o.O
Being in Tokyo again I still wasn't sure what to do about her, when suddenly my mobile rang. 'Come here...please...hurry..strange men...scared!', she said and hang up. It was Aichan.
Oh no!!! O__O Takahashi's being attacked!!
GOOD JOB!! Takahashi defended herself..though she's shocked to the core now o.O...shock from killing someone?
She slowly moved her head from the left to the right and tears started to roll down her cheeks. I was a bit confused and turned around, when I suddenly saw a girl lying on the ground. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :OMG: :frustrated: :gyaaah: :pleeease: :fainted: :imdead:

[still in shock of Risa's death] ...Wow....Nicely done o.O
For now I decided to just drive out of Tokyo. On the highway I noticed that the sun now has been clouded by thick clouds like it reacted to the recent actions.

[gasp] ....[english terms failing, but attempts anyway] Personification?! ooooohh =P
Sorry JFC, took your "style" of commenting. =P
But anyways, RISAAAAA~ :fainted:
HPriest, you better make up for this somehow... :farofflook:

No worries. I actually took it from someone else. :P
I find it easier to do it this way, ne? ;D

It's a noir story, people have to die... :( Risa was the best choice for the story. ;)

Day 8 - Drenching Rain
It was still dark, but early in the morning already. I have been driving the whole time. From the road I could see the sea and decided to drive to the beach. Aichan was still unconscious and Maeda as quiet as always. The clouds started to cover the whole sky, but it still was a mild night. I parked the car at the beach. Maeda actually went out of the car by herself. She walked down the beach very slowly. I checked on Aichan. It looked like she was to regain consciousness again. Slowly I helped her to sit up. First she asked what happened, but remembered soon enough. The fall from earlier doesn't seem to have caused any damage to her brain. Actually I wasn't really sure whether this was a good or a bad thing now, considering what happened. She still wasn't absolutely stable, but she was able to get out with my help. Aichan was surprised that we were at the beach. I told her that I decided to drive here. Together we walked down the beach. Maeda was sitting in the sand. Aichan asked me who she is, when we were approaching here. I told her about Maeda and Aichan listened without responding. She just sat herself next to Maeda. Maeda laid her arm around Aichan, although she actually didn't know what happened to her. It looked like it didn't really matter at that time. I was standing next to them, when suddenly my mobile rang, 'unknown'.
I walked away from the girls to not disturb them. A strange man was on the other line. 'We have to talk, it's important.', he said and wanted to pick up, but I was able to stop him before. First I tried to find out who he was, but there was no way. He wanted to meet me somewhere in Tokyo, but I told him that I wasn't in Tokyo. We decided to meet at a roadhouse a few minutes away from here. Of course I didn't tell him where I was. I basically don't know anything about him. It could be a trap for all I know, but somehow his voice didn't sound like he was going to send me to a trap. There has been a certain connection I couldn't explain. All I know is that I wanted to meet him. I walked back to the girls and told them that I would have to go somewhere. 'It will probably only take thirteen minutes.', I said. The girls only nodded and continued to stare at the sea.
After a short ride I arrived at the roadhouse. I realized that I didn't know how he would look like. I sat down at a table and ordered a coffee. A few minutes passed and then an old man who looked like a homeless entered. He looked around and focused his eyes on me. The man walked up to me and sat down across. 'It's good to see you unharmed.', he said. I didn't come for a smalltalk and quickly asked him what he had to tell me. He claimed that he knows why the boss wanted me to disappear. I became interested and asked him for the reason. The man continued and said that there is some kind of document. 'What kind of document?', I asked. 'It connects him with the murder of the former prime minister and that there is a relationship with the current prime minister, too.', the man replied. I became confused, 'He murdered the prime minister? That's a joke, right? Everyone said it was an accident and what does it have to do with me anyway?'. He said that the media has been bought. That actually wouldn't be a surprise, but I still didn't understand what it had to do with me. 'Those documents, only you know where they are.', the man continued. I never heard of such documents and started to disbelieve him. It all started to sound like a made up story. 'I think I am wasting my time here.', I said and stood up. He grabbed my hand and gave me a sheet of paper. 'Your mother....your mother found the evidence. She gave it to you, Koji.', were his last words before I shook him off. 'Now he even started to bring in my parents', I thought. I went back to my car and drove off. The sheet of paper he gave me was his number and the note that I should call him. I threw it at the backseat.
During the conversation it actually started to rain. It became a heavy show and I tried to hurry back to the beach. The sun started to rise when I reached the beach. I saw one girl still sitting in the sand. It was Aichan and I ran towards her. The rain was really annoying. I asked her where Maeda went and she replied that she already left earlier to go back home. Aichan said that that Maeda had told her to say 'Thank you' for her. While trying to cover her from the rain, I noticed that she was crying. I put my jacket above her and sat myself next to her.
'Risa is really dead, isn't she?', she asked and started to burst out in tears. I didn't know what to answer. Then Aichan suddenly laid her head on my shoulder. The jacket fell into the sand. We continued to sit like this in the drenching rain.
-
It's a noir story, people have to die... Risa was the best choice for the story.
Yeah, but it still sucks. :(
I parked the car at the beach. Maeda actually went out of the car by herself. She walked down the beach very slowly.
Koji had better not lose sight of her, lest she do something rash like try to drown herself in the ocean or something.
I told her about Maeda and Aichan listened without responding. She just sat herself next to Maeda. Maeda laid her arm around Aichan, although she actually didn't know what happened to her. It looked like it didn't really matter at that time.
Seems they realize that they're both in the same boat, caught up in something where they're just pawns/innocent victims. Under the circumstances, it's nice to know that you're not alone.
I was standing next to them, when suddenly my mobile rang, 'unknown'.
...

Maybe there's someone within Yentown and/or P2 who's like Koji, who finds the way that the gangs are using the girls to be distasteful. Koji could have an ally in this person.
Question is though, is it a good idea to leave the girls alone, unguarded like that?
He claimed that he knows why the boss wanted me to disappear. I became interested and asked him for the reason. The man continued and said that there is some kind of document. 'What kind of document?', I asked. 'It connects him with the murder of the former prime minister and that there is a relationship with the current prime minister, too.', the man replied.

So the corruption goes all the way to the PM's office? But wait, how did Koji's mom come across these documents? Was she a government employee or something? Was she just "at the right/wrong place at the right/wrong time"?
And so Koji's supposed to know where they are? If she gave them to him, it was probably hidden in something else and he probably never knew that they were there. Of course, that little detail is unknown and to the new boss, it doesn't really matter. All he wants are the documents or Koji's head.
I saw one girl still sitting in the sand. It was Aichan and I ran towards her. The rain was really annoying. I asked her where Maeda went and she replied that she already left earlier to go back home. Aichan said that that Maeda had told her to say 'Thank you' for her.
Not sure if this would be the smartest move on Maeda's part. She should have at least let Koji take her there so that she'd have some protection instead of trying to make the trip on her own.

Risa!!! Poor Ai-chan....

Day 9 - On the run
It is night and we are hiding in a cheap motel. I have a few wounds here and there, but nothing serious. Aichan is doing fine. She became really silent after the incident with Risa. I already found out that they were actually really good friends. Must be hard to loose somebody close right in front of your eyes. Anyway, back to what happened. You probably want to know why we are hiding in a motel and what happened over the last two days since the scene at the beach.
The rain stopped while we continued looking at the rising sun. Aichan actually fell asleep on my shoulder, when I suddenly heard some noise behind us. I turned around and saw four men checking my car. It didn't take much time for them to see us at the beach. They look like they want something from me. I laid down Aichan carefully, with the jacket as pillow.
Only two of them were approaching me.
'What do you want?'
One man answered with a punch towards my face, but I was fast enough to dodge. I took his arm, went behind him and kicked into the hollow of his knee to force him on his knees. The other one kicked me into the stomach so that I had to let loose off of him. Another left blow hit me. I dodged the next punch and punched him into the face. He had no cover at all anymore and so I dealt a few blows to his body. The last punch went right into his face again and he went to the ground. The other man wanted to attack me again, but with an aimed kick I was able to finish him quickly. Suddenly a shot hit the sand right next to me. 'Stop it!', one man at the car shouted. I turned my head to Aichan who got awoken by the shot. The man is so stupid enough to look to her, too. I picked my gun and shot him within less than three seconds. The fourth and last man was taking cover behind the car. It was a freshman. He was too scarred to put his head out of the cover. I silently moved towards the car and surprised him when I grabbed his neck. I threw him to the ground, pointing the gun at his head.
'Who are you?', I asked.
- Please don't kill me!
'You better talk then.'
- Okay okay...
'Who are you?'
- We are from Yentown gang.
'Yentown Brothers?'
- Yes.
'Impossible', I pressed the gun at his head.
- Pleas please...I am telling the truth.
'What do you want from me?'
- I don't know the details, but the boss wants you.
'Why?'
- I said I don't know the details.
I put away the gun, giving him his moment of relief and then I knocked him out. 'Sorry, but I can't let you remain on your feed for now.', I said to his unconscious body.
Aichan was confused. I walked to her and calmed her down. There was nothing to worry about anymore. 'We should leave from this place.', I told her. We drove for a while before I had to stop at a gas station. Then we hit the road west. Aichan wanted to go home, but I wasn't really sure whether this was clever or not. Somewhere between Nagano and Gifu I heard something in the radio that worried me.
"Police raided the place of a man who abused Mitsui Aika, a girl from Morning Musume. He also kidnapped another girl of the same group, Takahashi Ai. All traces seem to lead to this one man who's name is Tsukamoto Koji. The suspect is still on the run and any lead will be appreciated."
So now I have three big groups as enemies. The police, Yentown Brothers and P2. Aichan agreed that it would be too dangerous to drive to her family now, since they probably guard it now. In Gifu I decided to turn to Osaka. We made a short stop in Ĺgaki to eat. Later we continued towards Osaka. After a second stop in Moriyama we finally reached Osaka. I searched for a cheap motel. All my cards have probably been blocked anyway. We stayed over night and the whole next day. I needed time to think. We need money and some kind of solution to all the mess. There was a really small balcony where nobody could look into and Aichan spent the whole day there. I have been lying on the bed, trying to understand everything. All channels on TV shows a really bad picture of me. With this they won't identify me for sure. I wonder if this has been made up by the boss as well. Anyway, nothing special happened that day.
These were the last two days. You now know why we are hiding in a cheap motel. Aichan has been silent almost the whole time. I wonder what she really is thinking and what is going on in her mind right now.
'Tomorrow I have to come up with something.', I thought.
-
The rain stopped while we continued looking at the rising sun. Aichan actually fell asleep on my shoulder, when I suddenly heard some noise behind us. I turned around and saw four men checking my car. It didn't take much time for them to see us at the beach. They look like they want something from me.
Considering the circumstances, they're likely to be either from the P2 gang, looking for Maeda, or they're from Yentown. If they're from the latter they could either be under orders from the new boss to either kill or get the info on where that item is from Koji, or they might actually be guys that are going to help him help Aichan. :O
Only two of them were approaching me.
'What do you want?'
One man answered with a punch towards my face, but I was fast enough to dodge.
Well, so much for my theory that they're here to help Koji. :dizzy:
'Who are you?'
- We are from Yentown gang.
'Yentown Brothers?'
...
- I don't know the details, but the boss wants you.
Hmmm...either the boss is laying out some type of trap...or he's going to try to negotiate with Koji to find that item. :mon unsure:
Somewhere between Nagano and Gifu I heard something in the radio that worried me.
"Police raided the place of a man who abused Mitsui Aika, a girl from Morning Musume. He also kidnapped another girl of the same group, Takahashi Ai. All traces seem to lead to this one man who's name is Tsukamoto Koji. The suspect is still on the run and any lead will be appreciated."
...
All channels on TV shows a really bad picture of me. With this they won't identify me for sure. I wonder if this has been made up by the boss as well.
Heh, the boss must have connections in the police and/or the media to be able to get this announced as news. Now all of Japan will be keeping an eye out for the two of them. Koji seems like a pretty smart guy, but he sure didn't realize one thing. Right now he shouldn't be worried so much about whether the news reports show a good picture of him. Remember that he's being framed as having kidnapped Aichan, an idol who appears on TV on a daily basis! While the picture of Koji might be bad, they'll still have to try their best to lay low and stay out of sight, considering how well-known Aichan's face is going to be.
-
Day 10 - The Basement...
This day started like the last two days. It was around midday and Aichan was still sleeping. I sat at the other half of the bed and tried to come up with a solution. Then I had an idea. There is some old friend here in Osaka. I know it is risky to get in contact with anyone right now, but I have to try my luck or otherwise I would have to hide for a long time. Aichan didn't notice that I was leaving and I also didn't want to wake her up. She understands the whole situation and is clever enough to not talk to anyone.
I drove through Osaka on the search of a certain house. It has been a long time since I have been here. The man I wanted to meet was a Yentown Brother as well. When I was young he played with Kazuaki and me. He was one of the nice people there. Short after the new boss took over the lead, he left the group. All I knew is that he continued doing stuff with gambling and drugs, but nothing big. Soon I found the house.
It looked pretty average and maybe a bit run-down. I didn't know whether he was still there or if I could trust him. This is why I have been careful enough to pick my gun and walk around the house. It looked like nobody lives in this house anymore. 'Damn', I thought, when suddenly the back door opened. I quickly aimed at the person. He was carrying a big box and I couldn't see his face. 'Sho?', I asked. He suddenly stopped and didn't move. Then he threw away the box, pulled his gun and quickly aimed towards my direction. We both were standing in front of each other, with the pistols aimed at each others head. Now I was able to see his face, it was Sho.
'Koji?', he asked. I nodded and the tension started to lower until we both simultaneously put away our guns. It looked like he didn't want catch or kill me. He started to laugh and hugged me. First I was a bit surprised, but quickly lost my last doubts. We went inside and I understood why the house looked like nobody lived there. He lives here, but only in the basement. The whole house is empty. I went downstairs and saw the huge basement. It's bigger than the house. I wondered why he lives in the basement and asked him about his current work. Sho replied that he indeed is doing some stuff in gambling and some business in the drug scene. He said that the gambling scene can be pretty cruel and that he needs to live in the basement to protect himself and his family. 'Family?', I asked. He has a wife and two kids, but I didn't see them anywhere. 'They are not here', he said. Whatever, I didn't really care anyway.
I told him about my situation and he already heard a bit about the mess. He agreed with my actions and couldn't believe what happened to the Yentown Brothers. 'It was good that I left as early as possible', he said, 'but I am sorry that I didn't take you with me.'. I asked him if he knows why the boss would do such a thing. He acted oddly when I asked about it. I told him to be honest, but it looked he doesn't want to answer to this question. Maybe I became a bit aggressive, but I wanted to know the truth.
'Stop it!', somebody else interrupted me. I was surprised. Was this a trap? Did Sho betray me? Suddenly a man walked into the room. It was the old man from the roadhouse a few days ago. I drew my weapon and asked Sho why he betrayed me. He claimed that he didn't betray me. The old man told me to calm down. 'Koji, please. He isn't your enemy.', Sho said. I didn't trust the old man, but I trusted Sho. 'Sho..', I said. Sho repeated the same again, told me to trust him and to calm down. 'Fine', I thought, 'It's only an old man.'. The old man walked towards me. 'Stay there', I told him.
"What are you doing here?", I asked the old man.
- I came here for the same reason you came here. -, he replied.
"I don't understand."
~ Yentown is behind him ~, Sho said.
"Yentown? What is this about?"
- You remember what I told you earlier? -
"Yeah..", I answered in an ignorant way.
- I know it sounded weird, but you have to trust me. -, he said and came closer.
"I don't know why I should trust you.", I told him with a serious look.
- But.. -, he stopped and stepped back.
"You are probably only a spy."
- Koji -
"You have no right to call me by my first name!", I shouted at him.
- You have to trust me or... -
"..or what?", I asked with a doubtful look.
- ..or I don't know what will happen to your sister. -
"My.....my......MY SISTER?"
-
Short after the new boss took over the lead, he left the group. All I knew is that he continued doing stuff with gambling and drugs, but nothing big. Soon I found the house.
I'm somewhat surprised that he was allowed to just leave like that, especially considering that a new boss had just taken over. Usually they wouldn't let anyone leave because it's too big of a risk that they might go to a rival gang. If they were allowed to leave, often they'd wind up dead soon after. The fact that this guy was allowed to leave and could still possibly be alive might be signs of some type of deal/agreement that he came to with the new boss.
We went inside and I understood why the house looked like nobody lived there. He lives here, but only in the basement. The whole house is empty.
Probably for protection. If he lives up in the actual house, he'd be a potential target for drive-by shootings and the like.
He said that the gambling scene can be pretty cruel and that he needs to live in the basement to protect himself and his family. 'Family?', I asked. He has a wife and two kids, but I didn't see them anywhere. 'They are not here', he said.
They're probably living somewhere else in another part of the country, so that other gangs wouldn't know about their existance. A gangster's family is just one big liability if the wrong people were to find out about them.
Suddenly a man walked into the room. It was the old man from the roadhouse a few days ago.
...
"What are you doing here?", I asked the old man.
- I came here for the same reason you came here. -, he replied.
...
- You remember what I told you earlier? -
"Yeah..", I answered in an ignorant way.
...
- You have to trust me or... -
"..or what?", I asked with a doubtful look.
- ..or I don't know what will happen to your sister. -
"My.....my......MY SISTER?"
WHA? Koji has a sister??? :OMG:
How does the old man know about her? Does/did Koji know know about her? :dunno:

Day 10 - ...of answers
- You have to trust me or... -
"..or what?", I asked with a doubtful look.
- ..or I don't know what will happen to your sister. -
"My.....my......MY SISTER?"
First I was kind of shocked, but soon started to hate this man for lying to me. Who did he think is to tell much such a bad joke. The conversation turned into a louder argument. He tried to convince me, but I didn't believe any of his words. Sho had been quiet the whole time. I turned to him and asked him who the fuck this old man was. He didn't want to answer and turned towards the man. The old man just nodded and suddenly Sho started to talk. 'The man...., he is your father.', he said. Alright, now what was this. This totally sounded like a movie clichĂŠ. First my newly found sister and then my presumed dead father. The whole situation was only a joke. I told Sho to stop messing around with me and tell me the truth. The only odd thing was that I have been the only one laughing. The whole thing freaked me out. I grabbed the old man by the throat and pushed him against a wall. 'You better tell me the truth now.', I told him. He only looked in my eyes and said: 'Koji..'. Suddenly doubts started to fill me. This is impossible, no way this is true. However, I let loose off him. Sho came to me and clapped me on my shoulder. 'It's really true', he told me again. First I only looked to the ground, then I looked at the man again. 'Father?', I silently asked. 'Yes', he answered. Now I was only able to think of one thing: 'I need a drink'. The only problem was that I don't drink.
We all three sat down again. The old man, who said he was my father, tried to calm me down and to explain everything. During the shooting, when I was six, he had been shot as well, but somehow the doctors managed to bring him back and stabilized him. All he heard was that my mother had been dead at the scene already. He couldn't come out of the background, because of the documents he told me some days ago. They both actually have been shot because of those. He continued his explanation, but I interrupted him with the question: 'Who.....who is my sister?'. The man was a bit surprised that I asked this out of the blue, but he understood how I must have felt. 'This is where I am trying to get to, please listen to everything', he replied and continued his explanation. My parents actually lead the Yentown Brothers together with the old boss. They were really good friends. The special thing about their leadership was that they actually only fought against the other criminals. This earned them contacts within the government. The government liked that an organized gang was on their side and fought against the real criminals. They were aware that the police wasn't strong enough and that they couldn't smirch their own hands with illegal acts. Then some years later, the group of our new boss assassinated the prime minister for whatever reasons. Of course, the Yentown Brothers had been told to destroy this gang and find out their motives. My mother actually completely solved the whole mystery. She thought it would be the safest to hide the documents somewhere until they would need them, but was attacked soon afterwards.
'Why didn't you do anything with the documents and what about my sister?', I asked. 'I don't know where the documents are.', he replied. Right, in the roadhouse he already told me about it. My mother supposedly gave them to me, although I never heard of them. The man, my father, told me that it probably is related to something precious to me, some present my mother gave me or something like that. I really tried to think of anything, but I couldn't. 'About your sister', he continued, 'she had been born when you were around two years old.'. 'Two years younger than me? And why did I never get to know her?', I asked. 'She was a girl and your mother thought it would be safer to give her away. She would have been too weak to survive in this milieu.', he answered. They almost did the same with me, but they didn't give me away. All they did was hide me. Up until today I never knew that they have been some kind of criminals. They tried to protect and hide me from this milieu as well. Afterwards he said that my mother regularly visited her with the highest possible caution. Nobody ever found out about her, until after my mothers death. The old boss struggled to keep up the strength of the Yentown Brothers. The new boss now found out about those documents somehow and fought the Yentown Brothers wherever they could.
After they took over the gang, my father tried his best to keep us both out of the mess. My father still had friends in the gang and so he managed to destroy most leads. Soon they got a problem. My sister joined an idol group. This brought her unnecessary attention. The new boss soon found some links between a girl in the group called Morning Musume and my parents. My father wasn't able to hide everything anymore. All they could do was to give one last false lead. This plan worked out, but the new boss found out about that my father was alive a few days ago. Now he was on the run. The new boss was smart enough to consider any false lead or information from him. They went through every detail again. This is how he finally found out about me, the son of the woman who found out the truth behind everything. Since then, the boss tried to catch me or to kill me on the spot.
I almost understood everything, but one thing still bothered me. 'You said something about a false lead.', I said. 'The boss knew it was a girl in this group, but he didn't know which one. We gave him false hints, leading him to the wrong girl.', he replied.
"Now finally tell me, who is my sister?", I became curious.
- Her current name is Kamei Eri. -
"Kamei Eri? I know her."
- I know -
"So, this is my sister?"
- Yes, but neither she nor the boss know. -
"When did he find out about my sister?"
- I think this has been about 2 weeks ago.
"2 weeks ago...."
- Yes, I think this is right. -
"And the false lead leads to?"
- Her name is Takahashi Ai. -
"Takaha...........Takahashi Ai?"
- Exactly.
"Damn, I should have known this."
- Why? Sorry if I ask, but I haven't been able to control everything since I have been on the run. -
"The new boss gave me the order to protect her and Morning Musume, 10 days ago."
- Really?
"This means that P2 found out about the documents and my sister."
- P2? They found out? That's bad.
~ They probably want the documents to take over the Yentown Brothers. ~, Sho mentioned.
- Probably.
"Now almost everything makes sense."
~ You said you are protecting this girl, Takahashi Ai?
"Yes, why?"
~ Then...where is she?
He was right. If the story was true, then she is be in high danger. We left the basement and the house. Sho drove back to Aichan with me, while my father left to get more information.
"I still can't believe the whole thing, my father, my sister....why now all of a sudden...why so fast...", I thought and started the engine.
-
Well, someone has to. :D
EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH??!?!?!?? :OMG: :OMG: :OMG: HIS FATHER?!?!?!?
So Koji's father is not dead, AND he has a "long-lost" sister that he just found out about. I'm having a total Star Wars flashback right now.
Old man/Vader --> (http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c340/J-F-C/starwars.gif) <-- Koji/Luke
During the shooting, when I was six, he had been shot as well, but somehow the doctors managed to bring him back and stabilized him. All he heard was that my mother had been dead at the scene already. He couldn't come out of the background, because of the documents he told me some days ago. They both actually have been shot because of those.
Obvious question now is, does dear old dad know were the documents are? Or might he know of some clue that might help Koji figure out where they are?
My parents actually lead the Yentown Brothers together with the old boss. They were really good friends. The special thing about their leadership was that they actually only fought against the other criminals. This earned them contacts within the government. The government liked that an organized gang was on their side and fought against the real criminals. They were aware that the police wasn't strong enough and that they couldn't smirch their own hands with illegal acts.
Interesting...a "good" group of gangsters. Who'd have thunk it? :bigdeal: The Prime Minister must have been one of the few actual government connections that they had back then. After all, it would have been a big risk on his part if word were to spread that the government was actually in business with organized gangs (regardless of whatever said gangs were actually doing/not doing).
Well, that explains why they were attacked.
Maybe it's in some childhood toy or momento of Koji's. Of course, if Koji has gotten rid of everything from his youth, then everyone is pretty much screwed.
Okay, that definitely makes sense, from a parental point of view. Granted, they probably would have had to come up with some type of cover story (like the baby girl had died) if anyone else in the gang or from other gangs knew that Koji's mom was pregnant again. And this, of course is based on the assumption that other people other than the old boss actually knew that she and Koji's dad were members of Yentown.
My father still had friends in the gang and so he managed to destroy most leads. Soon they got a problem. My sister joined an idol group. This brought her unnecessary attention. The new boss soon found some links between a girl in the group called Morning Musume and my parents.
What the hell, does that mean...Aichan is Koji's sister??? Fuck, he watched her undress too! :stunned:
My father wasn't able to hide everything anymore. All they could do was to give one last false lead.
...
I almost understood everything, but one thing still bothered me. 'You said something about a false lead.', I said. 'The boss knew it was a girl in this group, but he didn't know which one. We gave him false hints, leading him to the wrong girl.', he replied.
False lead? The wrong girl? So that must mean that Aichan is NOT his sister! Damn that old man! While I can understand a father's wish to protect his daughter, it still doesn't make what he did right. He put deliberately put Aichan in danger KNOWING that she was completely innocent. Question now is, if Aichan isn't Koji's sister, who is? :dunno:
"Now finally tell me, who is my sister?", I became curious.
- Her current name is Kamei Eri. -
EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH??!?!?!??
"So, this is my sister?"
- Yes, but neither she nor the boss know. -
"When did he find out about my sister?"
- I think this has been about 2 weeks ago.
"2 weeks ago...."
- Yes, I think this is right. -
That would make it just a few days before Koji was "assigned" to protect Aichan. The new boss might suspect that if Koji knows where the documents are, his sister might too.
"This means that P2 found out about the documents and my sister."
- P2? They found out? That's bad.
~ They probably want the documents to take over the Yentown Brothers. ~, Sho mentioned.
- Probably.
P2's plan must be to capture the two of them together, tell Koji that she was his sister (if he didn't already know), and then threaten her life to get him to reveal where the documents were. :O Boom, instant blackmail material for a hostile takeover of Yentown.
-
I admit it, I have been reading this but have been too lazy to comment. I'll smack myself right now. I promise I'll get off my butt and start commenting :P
Gosh Kamei is Koji's sister????? Man this is really unexpected.

Exams are going on my nerves and this is why there is a lack of updates recently, sorry.
Day 11 - The clever one
There I am, hiding with Sho somewhere in Tokyo. It's five in the morning and we try our best to come up with a plan. You probably want to know for what we need a plan. I have to explain what happened after we drove off from Sho's place to answer this question.
As I already told you, Sho accompanied me back to the motel. I drove into the street of the motel and saw a police car standing in front of it. Something must have went wrong, somehow they found us. Sho told me to calm down. In his opinion it wasn't sure whether the police is there to get him or not. I drove past the motel, but could nothing see inside. We decided to park the car in a side-street. First I wanted to check the situation, but Sho advised me not to do it. Instead he went out of the car and peaked around the corner. The police didn't want him, so it was more safe this way. However, I couldn't just sit in the car. I did't want to sit in the dark while Sho examined the situation. This is the reason why I walked over there, too. Sho was surprised and told me to at least stay in the back.
I was fine with this. The first couple of minutes nothing happened. I decided to call Aichan on her mobile. It took a while until she picked up the phone. She said hello and it sounded like something was wrong. Suddenly Sho pushed me to the side. 'One man looked out of the window', he said. He described me from which window. Now it was clear. The police was there to get me. Aichan was still on the phone, but I covered it so they wouldn't hear Sho and me talking. I took the phone again and tried to sound normal. She asked me where I am and when I would come back. Her voice sounded shaky. I told her to wait a second. 'We have to get her out of there.', I told Sho, but he didn't agree. 'This could be real police men.', he said, 'Do you really want to fight with them?'. He was right. There was no dead certainty that those men belong to Yentown Brothers. Sho came up with a plan to find this out. 'Tell them that you are in Tokyo and can't come back in the next two days.', he said. I didn't get it. Sho quickly explained it to me. The real police would drive her to medical, police station or her parents. They missed their chance to make a trap for me and wouldn't want to let her suffer any longer. This sounded logical to me. I took my mobile again and excused myself for the wait. Then I told her the exact same words Sho told me before. I am in Tokyo and can't come back for the next couple of days. She asked me whether I am sure. After a short dialog I ended the call and hung up. Now we had to wait.
Soon the men walked out together with Aichan. Sho peaked around the corner. They were driving off. We decided to follow them. They were driving out of Osaka, but there was still the possibility of them driving her back home. Later they changed direction towards Tokyo. Fukui is in a complete different direction. Now Sho and me were sure about them. They were on the payroll of the boss. I wanted to do something, but it was too dangerous. An attack on the driving car could put Aichan in danger as well. We had to remain following them. In Tokyo they drove to an area belonging to the Yentown Brothers. I stopped the car a few meters away. So far they didn't spot us. Once again Sho stopped me doing something stupid. I wanted to rush inside and free her, but we had no plan and not that many weapons. It would be a suicide mission. At least we know where they brought her. We drove out of this area and parked somewhere near the warehouses at the harbor.
Sho suggested to call my father, but he didn't have his number. My father actually visited him short before I came. They had no time to trade numbers. I couldn't believe it. How should we get more information then. Suddenly I remembered something. I got his number earlier. He gave it to me in the roadhouse. Where did I put it? I threw it at my backseat. We both checked the back of my car to find his number and we were successful. I dialed it and waited. Soon he picked up the phone. He asked us where we were and I explained him what happened. Unfortunately he didn't have any big information for us. All he had been able to find out was that the boss of P2 and the current boss of the Yentown Brothers were friends a long time ago. This didn't really help us. We tried to come up with a plan the whole night long.
I already told you that's five in the morning now. We are still thinking of how to solve the whole mess. Sho tells me to remember about things related to the documents. Somehow we should at least get them. I can't remember anything special. There is also no way to go back home to check the few things I kept since my childhood.
- So we don't have the documents. -, Sho said.
"Right.."
- But what if me make the others believe that we have? -
"What do you mean?"
- We will lay out a bait. -
My phone rings: "It's him."
- The boss? -
- Tell him you gave the documents to P2. -
"What?"
- Just do it! -
I take the call: "Yes?"
~ Koji..Koji...Koji.. ~, the boss himself is on the phone.
"What do you want?"
~ We haven't spoken for a while.. ~
"Stop the chitchat!"
"What do you want?"
~ We have your sister. ~
"...Aichan?"
~ Yes. ~
~ Tell us where the documents are and we will release her. ~
"What documents?", I act like I don't know.
~ You know exactly what documents I mean. ~
~ Don't play around or I will hurt her myself. ~
"Alright, alright."
"..but I still can't give them to you."
~ You can't? ~
"I don't have them."
~ Boy, stop fooling around. ~
~ WHERE ARE THE DOCUMENTS? ~
"I gave them to P2."
~ You didn't. ~
~ You wouldn't. ~
"You should better believe me."
~ Proof it! ~
I turn to Sho: "He wants me to proof it."
- Tell him that I am from P2. -
"I...somebody from P2 is with me right now. He can confirm it."
~ Give him to me. ~
I hand the mobile to Sho: "Here you go."
- Yes? -
~ You are from P2? ~
- Yes -
- Listen, our boss still sees you as a friend. He doesn't want to completely destroy you. Let us meet and we can discuss the details. -
~ Why should I believe that you are from P2? ~
- Believe it or not, but we will meet at the warehouse A37F in the harbor of Tokyo. Tomorrow six in the morning. Be there or not.
Sho hangs up the phone. He was really good. His cleverness is as good as in the old days. As a child I always looked up at him for being so smart, but never really became smart or clever. The warehouse is right there and we check out the inside. It's perfect. He continues to explain the details of the plan to me.
Later we called P2 and told them that we would want to give the documents to them. They had doubts, but the documents were a too good bait. We agreed to meet. The same warehouse and the same time. That was Sho's plan. An unexpected confrontation of the two big gangs of Tokyo, with us as the winners in the end.
'Hopefully it will really work out', I thought.

>__< Sorry, haven't had much time to comment..only a bit to read the chapters, stupid me -_-" and even now, not going to be able to comment much..
Anyways, O____O KAMEI IS KOJI'S SISTER?!?! It's a good thing that she doesn't know..yet (I'm assuming that she'll find out in a future chapter). I wonder if Kamei will find out somehow and start looking for her long-lost brother. That would be interesting if she became some intense gangster and just started kicking ASS! =D
O_____O THEY'VE GOT TAKAHASHI?! Koji MUST save her!
I have a weird feeling that in the end, Sho will backstab Koji. X_x Please don't let that happen?
Don't worry HPriest, there's always more than one, just...busy -_- [poofs away in a puff of smoke]

Thanks for the comment.
Don't worry HPriest, there's always more than one, just...busy -_- [poofs away in a puff of smoke]
I guess so....I will just keep on posting new chapters... :)
Last test of my month of exams will be in a week...until then I am not sure how often I will be able to update the fics
Anyway, look forward for the next episodes! :yep:

Sho accompanied me back to the motel. I drove into the street of the motel and saw a police car standing in front of it. Something must have went wrong, somehow they found us. Sho told me to calm down. In his opinion it wasn't sure whether the police is there to get him or not. I drove past the motel, but could nothing see inside.
It could be that the cops are there for something completely unrelated to Koji. If it turns out that they ARE there for Koji, then the next question is...who sent them, Yentown or P2?
First I wanted to check the situation, but Sho advised me not to do it. Instead he went out of the car and peaked around the corner. The police didn't want him, so it was more safe this way. However, I couldn't just sit in the car. I didn't want to sit in the dark while Sho examined the situation. This is the reason why I walked over there, too. Sho was surprised and told me to at least stay in the back.
Indeed, Koji needs to remember that he needs to lay low. Sho (as far as we know) isn't a target yet for Yentown or P2, so it should be ok for him to look around a bit (so long as he doesn't look too suspicious or otherwise draw attention to himself).
Also, did the cops find Aichan there? :?
I decided to call Aichan on her mobile. It took a while until she picked up the phone. She said hello and it sounded like something was wrong. Suddenly Sho pushed me to the side. 'One man looked out of the window', he said. He described me from which window. Now it was clear. The police was there to get me.
Whoa, someone must've tipped them off that they were there. They must be there in the room with Aichan, and are trying to get her to get Koji to reveal where he is so that they can apprehend him. Again the question is, are these cops legit or are they from one of the two gangs?
Sho came up with a plan to find this out. 'Tell them that you are in Tokyo and can't come back in the next two days.', he said. I didn't get it. Sho quickly explained it to me. The real police would drive her to medical, police station or her parents. They missed their chance to make a trap for me and wouldn't want to let her suffer any longer. This sounded logical to me.
Makes sense. If these cops are legit, they would contact their counterparts in Tokyo and tell them to continue their search for him there. Aichan would have done her civic duty and helped a police investigation, and thus they'd proceed to see that she gets medical attention. If, however, these guys are from one of the two gangs, they'll likely go to Tokyo themselves to personally continue to search for him.
Damn. Well, at least now we know who Koji's going to have to deal with.
Sho suggested to call my father, but he didn't have his number.
...
Unfortunately he didn't have any big information for us. All he had been able to find out was that the boss of P2 and the current boss of the Yentown Brothers were friends a long time ago. This didn't really help us. We tried to come up with a plan the whole night long.
Well it might not be able to help right now, but it could prove to be interesting and maybe even important in the future.
- So we don't have the documents. -, Sho said.
"Right.."
- But what if me make the others believe that we have? -
"What do you mean?"
- We will lay out a bait. -
...
- Tell him you gave the documents to P2. -
Try to bluff their way through? That's really risky, particularly when they don't even know what the actual documents actually look like. Not really sure about the wisdom about this, especially when they're also risking Aichan's life in this gamble.
~ We have your sister. ~
"...Aichan?"
~ Yes. ~
~ Tell us where the documents are and we will release her. ~
Well, at least they're still under the false impression that Aichan is Koji's sister, that means that Eri's safe so they only have to worry about 1 innocent life.
"I gave them to P2."
~ You didn't. ~
~ You wouldn't. ~
Here it is, will the boss call Koji's bluff?
~ Proof it!
Ooooooooooooooooooooh, quick thinking on Sho's part. And he used the little trivia bit that they got from Koji's dad too. Nice touch, not everyone's likely to know that the two bosses used to be friends. :thumbsup
~ Why should I believe that you are from P2? ~
- Believe it or not, but we will meet at the warehouse A37F in the harbor of Tokyo. Tomorrow six in the morning. Be there or not.
If the boss really wants those documents, he doesn't really have much of a choice now, does he? Either way, he'll be at that warehouse.
Hey, as long as Sho doesn't betray Koji and they get Aichan out of there safely, the Yentowners and P2'ers can blow themselves away for all I care. :yep:

Day 12 - The time, our the spectator...
It's almost six in the morning. About one day ago we started to develop the plan. I am actually a bit nervous. There are so many things you can't calculate. Sho has more faith in his plan. Yesterday we tried to erase most of the possible surprises. We made fake documents, thought about stories I could tell them and other things. There was one thing that bothered me the most, the lack of weapons. It's hard for Sho to get nice weapons fast, he is only a small gangster now. I wouldn't be able to get them either. Most of the people I know are working for the boss. I also started to worry about the health of Aichan. Somehow I had to make sure that she would be okay after today. I phoned the only person I could trust, Kazuaki.
He was surprised to hear from me. It was no secret that I am the enemy number one for the boss. Still, I knew that I could trust him. Kazuaki first had to go somewhere more quiet. It would be a risk for him, if somebody found it. Then we could talk. I told him about the plan and he also thought that it was too risky. However, there was no other better alternative, at least not for me. I told him that he would have to be the person, holding Aichan today. He wasn't sure whether he would be able to arrange it or not. Anyway, Kazuaki wouldn't just let me down like this. I knew that he would try everything to get into the position near her. Today will be the day, when I found out whether he was able or not. One of those things that were hard to plan. The whole plan is built on a really shaky basis. In the end it's me who has to do everything. Sho never was a fighter. He will stay in the background, affirming my made up stories. It's almost six...
.....
About thirteen minutes passed. None of them showed up on time. They both try to turn the sides by letting me wait. They both want to be the side, making the conditions. Anyway, I can finally see a couple of cars approaching from the distance. Sho isn't with me anymore. He hides somewhere safe, near the phone. Everything is ready. I become calmer now. It would be bad, if I showed insecurity. I may not let them turn over the situation. I am the game-master, my decisions decide the outcome.
.....
The cars were further away than I thought. It took a couple of minutes for them to arrive.....the Yentown Brothers. There still is no sight of P2 anywhere. They definitely are keeping me waiting. The boss steps out of the car. Stepping out of the last car I see Aichan. Kazuaki is with her, so far it looks good. 'Let's go inside', I tell them. Such things shouldn't be done in public. The warehouse is almost completely empty. A few pillars here and there and two containers. All in all very spacious. Still no P2 in sight.
.....
After a few minutes of silence, the boss finally starts to talk. 'So...where are the documents and where is P2?', he asks. I tell him to wait, but the situations seems weird for him. He probably only thinks that this could be a trap. The situation is still relaxed, but spicy. A couple of minutes pass. 'You didn't give them the documents, am I right?', the boss suddenly asks. I gulp, but stay cool. I tell him that he is wrong, making it clear who the game-master is. Aichan is looking at me with big eyes. They taped her mouth and tied up her hands. She sure is frightened. Next to her is Kazuaki. He looks nervous. I turn my eyes away before somebody else notices. The situation starts to become more uncomfortable. Where the fuck is P2?
.....
More minutes passed and the boss is becoming impatient. It sure looks like a big joke or trap. Suddenly he walks back and grabs Aichan. Kazuaki can't do anything for now. It's too early and he knows this. The boss starts to threaten me. Slowly the sides start to turn. It's exactly what I have been afraid of, but it's still under control.
- "What the hell is this? Why am I here? Where are those fucking documents?", he asks and holds a gun against Aichan's head.
> "Relax..", I answer.
- "Let's test whether you gave the documents to them or not..", he arms the pistol.
> "Wait, you are right.", I answer as planned.
- "I knew it. Where are they?"
> "Not here."
- "Not here?"
> "A friend of me has them. He will give them to the police when he doesn't hear from me."
- "A friend?"
> "Yes."
> "Do you mean him?", he asks.
Another man brings in Sho, seriously beaten up. Alright, now the sides are really turning. I didn't count on him finding Sho. Sho's eyes says 'Sorry', he sure looks bad. 'He had no documents', the boss continues. Now the pressure is on me. He now presses the gun harder against her head, shouting at me.
> "Alright, alright...", I make it sound like I give in.
- "What?"
> "Here they are.", I show him the faked documents.
Those documents are my last trump. He can't see whether they are real or not. I am too far away from him. It's all depending on whether he believes me or not. So far it looks good. His hand that holds gun starts to relax a bit. He wants to see the documents, of course. I am suggesting an exchange. The boss doesn't really like the idea, but he has to consider that they are real. He has more men anyway and agrees to the exchange. Aichan for the documents, we both would let go of them at the same time. Slowly we start to approach each other. His men are nervous and have their hands near their guns. After the exchange I have to be fast and protect Aichan.
.....
We almost reached each other, when suddenly P2 enters the warehouse. 'Stop right there', the leader of P2 interrupts. The whole situation now becomes a powder keg. P2 enters with with their weapons aimed at us. In turn, all men of the boss also draw their weapons. Now both sides are aiming at each other, with me between them. I still have the documents and the boss is too far away to just grab them. The exchange has been canceled. I almost had her. 'I knew this was going to be a trap. I might not know the details, but I know that you will give those documents to us.', P2's leader says in a very confident way. I am a bit confused. Why is he so confident? Is there something I didn't calculate? 'Why do you think so?', the boss asks. He also gives Aichan back to Kazuaki to have a free hand for his weapon. I am relieved and look back to P2, only to be more worried than before.
They really have Eri. I am surprised and shocked at the same time. Did he really find out about my real sister?
~ "Do you recognize her?", he asks me. I can't or don't want to answer.
- "What's with her?", the boss asks.
~ "Unlike you, I have his real sister."
And so it's out now. He really knows and the boss now knows, too. Of course, he first is a bit confused. After all he thinks that he had my sister. Well, he probably still thinks this way and believes that P2 is bluffing. The boss tries to get an affirmation from me, but I don't want to say anything. I am busy with thinking. What now? I am under pressure from two sides and I don't even have the real documents myself. With the real documents I would be able to maybe count on the protection of one of the gangs, but I have nothing to buy me this protection. They probably wouldn't protect me anyway and one girl would suffer this way anyway. I am really in a bad situation right now. The only end I see is a bloody one, but then there would be no security for anyone inside of this hall. Anyway, so far they both still think that I have the real documents.
I look at Kazuaki, asking him with my eyes whether I can trust him or not. He slightly nods. I can see in his eyes that he is with me and ready. Sho is lying on the ground and has no weapon at all. However, he understands the situation and also nods at me when I look at him. Time seems to stand still and seems to look at the whole situation like an excited spectator, loaded with tension. Slowly I turn towards P2. Eri looks extremely scared. She probably doesn't even understand the situation at all. I can't blame her. Step by step I walk towards the leader of P2. The boss becomes angry. He wants to grab Aichan again, but this time Kazuaki doesn't let him take her. The boss is confused, but has no time to do anything. I already reached the leader. He walked towards me as well. I don't have to explain the rules for the exchange to him. He releases Eri and I give him the documents. I grab and drag her to the side. The boss now is more than angry. He aims the gun at the leader of P2. The men of P2 themselves aim at the boss. Of course, the boss' men aim at P2. The powder keg is going to explode. Everyone knows it. It's only a matter of time. The leader still has time to look through the documents. What he sees are a few senseless pages written with "Word" and photocopies of a couple of pages of some idol magazine from a kiosk. Everything may have seemed like a long period of time, but it actually only took seconds from the exchange to the realization that the documents are fake.
Now many things happen at the same time now. The leader of P2 becomes angry at me. I can't see his face, but he probably doesn't look too happy. I look back and see the leader aiming at me. At the same time the boss opens the fire. As a result, the members of P2 start their fire as well. It doesn't take long until the response of the men of Yentown Brothers. The leader shoots at me, but to my luck he got shot short before. The shot still hits me and I fall to the ground together with Eri. It wasn't a deadly hit and so I am still able to draw my gun to protect Eri. Everyone who hasn't been shot yet searches for cover. A couple of men already got shot during the first confrontation. Earlier, Sho had been able to knock out the man close to him and picked up his weapon. I am not able to see Kazuaki or Aichan. Sho helps Eri and me to get cover behind one of those containers. The random shooting is decreasing. The first bloodbath is over and now turns into a static fight. However, it's still hectic.
> "I can't see Kazuaki! Can you see Aichan?", I ask Sho in an extremely worried way.
- "No..", he silently replies. His injuries really look serious now that I am closer to him.
> "Are you okay?", I ask Eri and take of the tape.
~ ".....y....yes.."
- "DAMN!", Sho comments. There are shots everywhere and it's almost impossible to look out of the cover.
~ "Are....are you really my brother?"
> "I...."
- "Do you think it's a good time to discuss this now?", Sho interrupts me.
> "Yes, I am your brother.", I continue.
~ "....really..?!..."
> "I know it's hard to believe.."
- "I think Kazuaki is behind the other container!", Sho says after shooting a couple of times.
> "Really?", I try to peek around the corner.
~ "You....you are bleeding!"
> "Hm? Oh, this. It's nothing, really."
~ "Here, take this.", Eri says.
She is taking out her handkerchief, but I refuse. It's no serious wound, although it's bleeding like hell. It must be the adrenalin that causes me to think this way. However, she surprisingly presses it against the wound to stop the bleeding. I am surprised and stopped shooting. Sho can't understand how she can be so calm in such a situation. I myself only look at her without saying a word. A warm feeling is inside of me I haven't felt for a long time. It's not the same like when I am together with Aichan, more like when my mother were caressing and singing me to the sleep. The shooting around me wasn't important anymore. I started to ignore it and only looked at Eri. 'Wait a minute', I interrupted myself, 'singing me to the sleep? That's it!', I thought, when suddenly Sho gets shot in the shoulder and falls to the ground. I check and ask him whether he is okay or not. Sho can't say much, he has enough strength left to tell me one thing. 'I....called the police....they will arrive soon...they will end this shootout...like planned..', he says and becomes unconscious. This means that he already started "Plan B". That's no problem, it's actually very smart, but there is one thing I am worried about. How am I going to get Sho,Kazuaki,Aichan,Eri and me out of here before they arrive? Suddenly I hear a female scream and it didn't come from Eri.
"AICHAN?!", I said and jumped up.
-
There was one thing that bothered me the most, the lack of weapons. It's hard for Sho to get nice weapons fast, he is only a small gangster now.
They also have to be discreet about it. If they make it known that they're looking for weapons, then it'll be easier for them to be found.
I phoned the only person I could trust, Kazuaki.
...
I told him that he would have to be the person, holding Aichan today. He wasn't sure whether he would be able to arrange it or not. Anyway, Kazuaki wouldn't just let me down like this. I knew that he would try everything to get into the position near her.
Well, let's hope that his faith in Kazuaki is justified. If things get ugly, Koji might not be able to protect Aichan, he needs to have someone on his side that will get her out of harm's way.
In order for this plan to work, Koji has to portray this air that he's calm and that he knows what he's doing. Any sign of hesitation or nervousness on his part, and both gangs will be able to see right through him.
It took a couple of minutes for them to arrive.....the Yentown Brothers. There still is no sight of P2 anywhere.
If I was P2, I would have my men secretly surround the building, silently observing what's going on inside. That way, none of them have to be out in the open, and if needed, they can catch Koji and Yentown off guard with a surprise ambush.
More minutes passed and the boss is becoming impatient. It sure looks like a big joke or trap. Suddenly he walks back and grabs Aichan. Kazuaki can't do anything for now.
...
> "A friend of me has them. He will give them to the police when he doesn't hear from me."
- "A friend?"
> "Yes."
> "Do you mean him?", he asks.
Another man brings in Sho, seriously beaten up.
Hmmm...before their arrival Yentown could have been driving around a bit, scouting the area and looking for anything/anyone suspicious. One of them must have spotted Sho (and possibly even recognized him), and put 2 + 2 together. If that's the case then the boss will believe that it was all a setup and he'll push Koji to give him the documents.
Koji must realize that the boss will double-cross him the first chance he gets. Can he really depend on Kazuaki to turn on the gang and protect Aichan?
We almost reached each other, when suddenly P2 enters the warehouse. 'Stop right there', the leader of P2 interrupts. The whole situation now becomes a powder keg.
Either P2 has lousy timing, OR they actually planned it this way. By waiting until the documents were out in the open, if they could hold off everyone else then it would be easy for them to get them, as well as eliminate some of the competition.
They...have Eri. I am surprised and shocked at the same time. Did he really find out about my real sister?
~ "Do you recognize her?", he asks me. I can't or don't want to answer.
- "What's with her?", the boss asks.
~ "Unlike you, I have his real sister."
What? But how did he know? The only people that we know of that knew this fact were Koji, Sho, Koji's dad, and if Koji told him the WHOLE story, Kazuaki. Does P2 have a mole within Yentown? Have they been able to observe Koji or the others without being discovered?
And so it's out now. He really knows and the boss now knows, too. Of course, he first is a bit confused. After all he thinks that he had my sister. Well, he probably still thinks this way and believes that P2 is bluffing. The boss tries to get an affirmation from me, but I don't want to say anything.
Koji must not "confirm" that Aichan's not his real sister. If he does, she'll instantly become expendable and will likely be shot on the spot since she would no longer be of any use to the boss.
I look at Kazuaki, asking him with my eyes whether I can trust him or not. He slightly nods. I can see in his eyes that he is with me and ready. Sho is lying on the ground and has no weapon at all. However, he understands the situation and also nods at me when I look at him.
Looks like it's "do or die" time.
Step by step I walk towards the leader of P2.
...
Question is, who'll start the shooting, and who will they be shooting at?
The leader still has time to look through the documents. What he sees are a few senseless pages written with "Word" and photocopies of a couple of pages of some idol magazine from a kiosk. Everything may have seemed like a long period of time, but it actually only took seconds from the exchange to the realization that the documents are fake.
Oh for fuck's sake. If you're going to cook up some fake documents, at least have the sense to make them look SOMEWHAT realistic. :banghead:
The longer you can keep the opponent's attention occupied with it, the better it is for you.
The leader of P2 becomes angry at me. I can't see his face, but he probably doesn't look too happy.
...
The leader shoots at me, but to my luck he got shot short before. The shot still hits me and I fall to the ground together with Eri. It wasn't a deadly hit and so I am still able to draw my gun to protect Eri.
Amongst all of this, I couldn't help but wonder if P2 told Eri before their arrival that Koji was her brother? For her this must undoubtedly be a really bad, confusing dream.
I am not able to see Kazuaki or Aichan.
...
> "I can't see Kazuaki! Can you see Aichan?", I ask Sho in an extremely worried way.
Thank goodness he didn't let the boss take Aichan that second time. With any luck he got her behind one of those containers or somewhere else where they're protected for the time being.
> "Are you okay?", I ask Eri and take of the tape.
~ ".....y....yes.."
...
~ "Are....are you really my brother?"
> "I...."
- "Do you think it's a good time to discuss this now?", Sho interrupts me.
> "Yes, I am your brother.", I continue.
~ "....really..?!..."
In one sense, Eri might actually be happy that she now know's she has a brother. But on the other hand, brother or not, what kind of person is he if he's involved in something like this?
A warm feeling is inside of me I haven't felt for a long time. It's not the same like when I am together with Aichan, more like when my mother were caressing and singing me to the sleep. The shooting around me wasn't important anymore. I started to ignore it and only looked at Eri. 'Wait a minute', I interrupted myself, 'singing me to the sleep? That's it!',
The key to finding the documents could be hidden in the lyrics of one of the songs that Koji's mom used when she sung Koji to sleep!!! :o
suddenly Sho gets shot in the shoulder and falls to the ground. I check and ask him whether he is okay or not. Sho can't say much, he has enough strength left to tell me one thing. 'I....called the police....they will arrive soon...they will end this shootout...like planned..', he says and becomes unconscious. This means that he already started "Plan B".
"Plan B" must be to have the gang members arrested, so they could potentially be charged and put on trial. But if that was "Plan B", then what was "Plan A"???
How am I going to get Sho,Kazuaki,Aichan,Eri and me out of here before they arrive?
It would probably be best if they weren't there when the cops arrive, because with cops, come the press. And if they find out that Eri is Koji's little sister, and they find out what Koji is and what he's done in the past...it will make her life extremely difficult, not to mention the fact that she'll become even MORE of a target for other yakuza/gangs out there in Japan.
Suddenly I hear a female scream and it didn't come from Eri.
"AICHAN?!", I said and jumped up.
Shit, either Kazuaki has double-crossed Koji and is now holding Aichan hostage, or he's somehow been incapacitated by one of the two gangs, who now have Aichan hostage.

(Final) End of two Weeks - Part One: Getting Out
Something must have happened, but I don't know what. I have to get to Aichan and Kazuaki as fast as possible. It's still war inside of the warehouse. The container is giving us a good cover. Sho and I have been shot already, but at least Eri seems to be unharmed. I should try to call for Kazuaki. "KAZUAKI?", I shout into the hall, but get no response. "AICHAN?", but no answer as well. I'm getting nervous and Sho notices it. Somehow I have to come up with a plan. I look at the container and spot the wheels. "It has rolls!", I say. Sho is getting curious, "What are you going to do?". My plan is to walk over to the others with the container as moving cover. Sho doesn't seem to be too confident with the plan. Anyway, I check how heavy the container is. It seems to be okay; we should be able to roll it. We would only have to cover the other side where we are not covered. Sho looks like he is still able to use a weapon. Eri would have to stay close behind me to use me as cover. Sho thinks that's too risky, when suddenly a ricochet stripes Eri and hits the container. I quickly pull her to me. Thank god, it's only a little scratch. I look at Sho. He finally agrees with the plan. We both check the clip of our pistols and get ready to roll. Eri will stay in the middle, me being right in front of her. Sho will give the container a quick push and then jump behind it as well. I would have done it, if they didn't shoot in my leg. 3-2-1-PUSH! The container starts rolling. Sho quickly jumps behind the cover. From the side we can push it good enough to keep it rolling; one hand pushing it, one hand to shoot. From the other side we can hear the impacts at the container. We are now without any cover from this side. We are lucky that most aren't able to move out of his cover. *Bang*, I hit one. Sho also shoots a couple of bullets. We are almost there. The plan really worked out. Nobody was able to shoot at us. Sho is the first to jump behind the pillar. He covers us so we can follow him easily. One jump and we are behind the other container where Aichan and Kazuaki are.
This time Sho and I cover so that Eri can jump with out fear. It's longer than the jump before. Sho tells me to go next. I don't jump like Eri. It's too far away with only one person covering. I decide to slowly move and keep shooting. So far it works out. I can hear the bullets flying around me, but nobody is able to hit me. In the corner of my eye, I can see the container. One more step and I am there, but suddenly I get hit by a bullet. It went right through my arm and basically fall behind the container. I was too careless. Sho noticed the hit and asks me whether I am okay. After the first shock, I am okay again. I turn around to check on Aichan and Kazuaki, when I surprisingly notice that Aichan isn't here. Only Kazuaki lies there, but seems to be in big pain. I can see that he got shot multiple of times. Sho interrupts me again. He wants to come behind the container as well. I am confused and nervous about where Aichan could be, but first I have to do this. Eri is completely shaking and I tell her to stay low. I get up again and give Sho the "Okay" sign. Sho starts shooting and do the same to cover him. Unlike myself, he decides to move quickly and doesn't get hit. I move down behind the container again. First wants to make sure that I am alright again, but I tell him that I am okay. The wound definitely is serious, but I don't have the time to care about this now. I look into Eri's eyes and ask here if she got hurt, she shakes her head; good.
Kazuaki is becoming unconscious and I have to tell him to stay with me. I ask him where Aichan is. His voice is very weak. I move my ear close to his mouth..."The boss took here and ran away.". What? He escaped? Kazuaki points at the door a couple of meters away. Damn, what is the boss up to now? Whatever it is, I have to follow him. Somehow we have to get to the door as well, but it's a long distance without any cover. Sho thinks that it's impossible without getting hit. I know he is right, but I have to do it. Do I have to do it? Suddenly I start to question myself. I have to rescue Aichan, but doing this would put my sister and my friends into danger. Staying here also is no option. The shoot out is too dangerous and the police soon will storm the warehouse, but Kazuaki doesn't look like he will be able to move. I can't just let him here. "I....I will cover you....", Kazuaki stutters. "What? You are not even able to stand up.", Sho responds. He is right, but Kazuaki concentrates all his power to get up on his feet. "You are insane.", Sho says. He doesn't only mean Kazuaki, but all of us. Eri doesn't say a word. She probably isn't used to stand-offs. Of course she isn't. Anyway, the plan seems to be settled. Eri will go first and we three build a wall to protect her. "No!", Kazuaki interrupts. I am confused. "You will take Eri and go first. Sho will be close behind you. I'll do all the rest.", he explains. I can't accept this idea. "Look at me", he says, "I won't survive this day anyway." Damn it Kazuaki. You are putting me in one kind of a situation. Kazuaki stays stubborn and doesn't want to discuss about it. He even gets up, reveals his upper body and starts shooting at the others. "GO! NOW!", he orders us. I seriously don't know what to do. "Go now or they will kill us four!". Kazuaki....fine, I'll do as he say. I pick up Eri and wait for the right moment start sprinting, if there is a right moment. "GO!", Kazuaki shouts again and I go. My leg is hurt, but I try to ignore the pain to get us out of here quick. Sho is right behind us, providing a little cover. We reach the door without being hit. "Damn", Sho sighs. I look back and don't see Kazuaki anywhere. He really didn't follow us. I look through the door. He sits on the floor and reloads his pistol. Once again he looks at me and angrily tells me to go. Damn this asshole. Why is he doing this. He could have come with us.
My anger gets interrupted by the engine of a car. One car is driving off the warehouse; the boss. There is no other car around and I don't know what to do. Sho tells me to hurry and follow them. "And Eri?", I ask. "I will take care of her.", you should rescue Aichan. "Don't worry, I will take her somewhere safe.", he continues. I look at Eri. She might not understand everything, but she seems to realize that the life of Aichan is at stake. She looks at me and nods, signaling me that I should go. Alright then, I start to run. My car is at the front entrance and I have to run fast. I may not loose sight of his car or I won't be able to follow them. Quickly I jump into my car. I look back for a second and see that Sho is bringing Eri out of here. You can already hear the police in the distance. They have to hurry. I look back at the street. The car is still driving. I start the engine and follow them. They are still far away, but I was right in time to leave the harbor before the arrival of the police. Now it's only me against the boss.
"Aichan....."
*****************************************************************************
(Final) End of two Weeks - Part Two: The Chase
I have no doubt that the boss already noticed me driving mirror. The police didn't see us and I can't spot any car following us. However, I don't know what to do. How to force him to stop without putting Aichan in danger? This is what puzzles my mind and we keep on driving this way for a while; me chasing him. We are driving on a long and quiet road. I don't know why, but I decide to put the car next to his. Maybe I only want to check on her condition, whether she is still alive or not. I keep the gun in my hand. Slowly I am getting the car right next to him, always keeping an eye on the street for possible traffic. Through the window I can only see Aichan sitting on the passenger seat. It looks like she is not conscious. The boss looks at me. He rams me, but I am able to maintain control of the car. He draws his gun and points it at me. I also aim at him. Nobody of us shoots, knowing that the other one will shoot back. We have difficulties keeping the car on track and concentrating on the other one. Suddenly I notice Aichan that Aichan looks at me from the passenger seat. I look right into her eyes. The boss doesn't look like he notices that she is awake. Aichan smiles at me and suddenly makes a serious face again. She grabs the steering wheel and quickly turns it to her. The car makes a hard turn and crashes into a parking car. My car is still at high speed. I immediately hit the brakes to make a quick stop.
I push the door open and decide to put the second gun in my pants additional to the one in my holster. After the first meters I can feel my leg again, but I can't stop. I keep hobbling to their car, but very slow. The boss steps out of the car and I quickly decide to hide behind another parking car. I can hear him swearing. He sees my car standing on the street and looks around, but doesn't seem to see me. Aichan is still in the car. I can't see how her condition is. The boss walks to her door and opens it. He pulls her out, she is alive and conscious, but seems to be in a bad condition. The impact must have been hard. Why did she do it? To help me? This is stupid.
"KOJI! I know you are here. Get out or I will kill her!", the boss shouts.
Do I have any other choice? - No.
I decide to show myself. Slowly I walk towards him. I already drew my gun when I was behind the car, but I am not pointing it at him. He presses the gun on her head, but aims at me when he sees me. This probably sounds stupid, but I have no plan. The boss aims the gun back at Aichan. He must have noticed my weapon.
"What now?", I ask him.
"She really isn't your sister?", he asks.
I look at Aichan, "No."
"So she is useless then.", he chokes her harder and places his finger on the trigger.
"You won't do it.", I say. We both know that he needs her to stay alive. I would kill him right after he kills her.
"Those documents were fake, right?", he asks.
"Yep."
"Damn it. I knew it."
I think I am getting tired, probably due to the loss of blood.
"Just release her. She has nothing to do with it."
"Do you think I am stupid?"
I better not answer on this question. It's no use to make him even more angry right now.
"Look, I will throw my gun to you.", I explain to him.
"I don't trust you!", is his reply. I can see the confusion in Aichan's eyes. My decisions don't really sound clever. She probably already realized what I am trying to do and doesn't agree with it at all.
"We both don't like each other, but we both know that we can trust in each others word.", I try it the diplomatic way.
"I'll throw away my gun and you will let her go. I will put my hands in the air so I won't have a chance to do anything."
"And then?", he becomes curious.
"Then you can kill me and with it any connection to the documents.", I answer.
They both are surprised. Aichan must think that I gone insane. I really don't have any intention to trick him. All I want is that he releases her. The thing about trusting his word was true. He is a man who's word you can trust.
"Okay.", he decides. Aichan panics.
"Wait."
I know what he is going to ask. He isn't as stupid as I though. It will be about Eri, my real sister.
"What about Eri?", he asks
See? I knew it. Now I have to act a bit to convince him.
"Eri...Eri is dead.", I say with sorrow and sadness.
I think I was good. Aichan seems to believe it.
"Dead?"
"In the warehouse..I wasn't able to get her out of there fast enough. The police stormed it and everyone panicked. It was a mess and.....I wasn't able to....she is dead."
Of course, he takes his time to make a decision. I hope he decides to verify my story later.
"Alright, you have my word. You drop your weapon and I will release her.", he answers.
"Ok.."
I prepare to throw it away and notice that his grab also relaxes. He will let her go. Then I throw away my weapon and the boss releases Aichan. She first wants to run to me, but the boss stops her. I look into her eyes and tell her to run. She doesn't want to go away, but she has to. I tell her that I will be fine, although I am full away of that he will kill me. There is the second gun in my pants, but I wouldn't want to put her in danger again. My attempt to kill him with the second gun could fail and then he would probably kill her. Aichan stills stands there between him and me. "GO!", I shout at her. She starts to cry, but I keep on persuading her to leave. She finally listens to my words and slowly starts to walk away.
The boss doesn't make any attempt to kill her like agreed. I look at him, knowing what is going to happen now. He points the gun at me. Bang, bang, bang..three shots, pushing me against the back of a car parking car. I keep on looking at Aichan while I slip down to the ground. She is about a hundred meters away, but stopped when hearing the shots. Everything becomes blurry. My head slides to the side, I am not able see anything anymore. Everything is dark, but I am still alive. People say that your can see your whole life passing, but they lie. You see nothing but black. I hear a voice. It's really low, but it's there. "...what if he lyed to me and this girl is his real sister...", is all I can understand. It's obvious who he means. Damn it. Why can't he just be satisfied with what he did. I can hear a weapon and are afraid of what he is going to do. It's painful like hell, but I concentrate all of what is left, open my eyes and see him aiming his gun at somebody. I try to move my head a bit. My view is slowly becoming clear again. I was right, it's Aichan. She is still standing 100meters away. He aims at her, this bastard. I pull the second weapon with my left hand. You can't imagine the pain I can feel in my body. I actually wish that I would be dead already. There is no way I can raise my arms. I have to aim while lying on the floor, almost unable to move anything. The strength is loosing me again. My tank is empty. Slowly it's becoming blurry again. The boss is asking her something, but I can't understand it anymore. I think I am aiming right at his head, but I am not sure. It doesn't matter. I shoot and everything turns blurry. There was one shot....or two? I don't know whether I was able to shoot him before he shot Aichan. Everything is turning black again. I.....I.....I....................................................... .

Epilogue
[10mins ago...]
*Beep* *Beep*
"Wait a second, I've got a message.", Sho says.
"It, it's from Koji."
"My brother?", Eri asks
#Please make sure they think that Eri is dead. Could you please also take care of Aichan. I don't know where she is. I won't contact you again... I am counting on you, Sho.#
Sho reads the message, "..'I am counting on you, Sho.'"
"What is he.....NO WAY!...He won't.....this stupid asshole!"
"What? Did something happen?", Eri is curious.
"No", Sho looks at Eri and makes a long pause, "no..... Lets get you out of here."
Eri feels that something isn't right, but decides to stay quiet until they are safe.

The End
PS: This was a long one. Please excuse any typos or grammatical mistakes.
The end is not satisfying? - Uh-huh...
;)
-
I look at the container and spot the wheels.
Question is though, is it strong enough that it will provide sufficient protection?
The plan really worked out. Nobody was able to shoot at us. Sho is the first to jump behind the pillar. He covers us so we can follow him easily. One jump and we are behind the other container where Aichan and Kazuaki are.
So then Kazuaki didn't double-cross them and Aichan's okay, right? But then, why'd she scream like that?
I turn around to check on Aichan and Kazuaki, when I surprisingly notice that Aichan isn't here. Only Kazuaki lies there, but seems to be in big pain. I can see that he got shot multiple of times. Sho interrupts me again. He wants to come behind the container as well. I am confused and nervous about where Aichan could be, but first I have to do this.
Oh shit, so Aichan's NOT there. That means someone from one of the gangs got her, but which one?
Kazuaki is becoming unconscious and I have to tell him to stay with me. I ask him where Aichan is. His voice is very weak. I move my ear close to his mouth..."The boss took here and ran away.". What? He escaped? Kazuaki points at the door a couple of meters away. Damn, what is the boss up to now? Whatever it is, I have to follow him.
The boss must still believe that he can get the documents from Koji and plans on forcing the issue by threatening to kill Aichan right there.
Kazuaki must have pretty severe wounds (chances are he knows it). As much as it sucks, his plan is the best thing that they can do right now. He said it himself, he's likely going to be dead either way before this whole fiasco is done. By drawing fire and covering their escape, Kazuaki will be doing what he can to protect the three of them as best he can while they make their way to the doorway.
If he did, then there'd be no one left to stop the others that are still there from following them through the doorway and ambushing them from behind. Kazuaki did what needed to be done.
It's better if Koji goes and does this alone. If he DOES confront the boss, Eri should NOT be with him as she'd just be another possible target that Koji would have to worry about. Right now the only thing that matters is getting Aichan back unharmed. He's been able to trust Sho so far, he can trust him to do his best to bring Eri somewhere safe.
Regardless of the end result, the boss likely was just trying to get away from the cops. After all, if he and Koji face off it wouldn't do to have them interfering now, would it?
Suddenly I notice Aichan that Aichan looks at me from the passenger seat. I look right into her eyes. The boss doesn't look like he notices that she is awake. Aichan smiles at me and suddenly makes a serious face again. She grabs the steering wheel and quickly turns it to her. The car makes a hard turn and crashes into a parking car. My car is still at high speed. I immediately hit the brakes to make a quick stop.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Way to go Aichan!!!
"She really isn't your sister?", he asks.
I look at Aichan, "No."
"So she is useless then.", he chokes her harder and places his finger on the trigger.
"You won't do it.", I say. We both know that he needs her to stay alive. I would kill him right after he kills her.
Criminals take hostages to protect themselves. They use them as shields. If there are no hostages, they have no protection, which basically leaves them with a big target on themselves. The boss knows this. If he wants to have a chance to stay alive he won't hurt Aichan.
"We both don't like each other, but we both know that we can trust in each others word.", I try it the diplomatic way.
In a situation like this? Fuck I wouldn't.
"I'll throw away my gun and you will let her go. I will put my hands in the air so I won't have a chance to do anything."
"And then?", he becomes curious.
"Then you can kill me and with it any connection to the documents.", I answer.
They both are surprised.
If I were the boss I'd be confused and/or highly suspicious right now, even though the chance to get rid of the final connection to the documents would be tempting.
"Alright, you have my word. You drop your weapon and I will release her.", he answers.
"Ok.."
Question now is, once/if Aichan's out of harm's way, who will be able to pull of the first (or depending on how you look at it, last) shot? The boss? Or will Koji be able to get his hand back to the gun in his pocket?
There is the second gun in my pants, but I wouldn't want to put her in danger again.
That line could be interpreted in...*cough*...other ways.
The boss doesn't make any attempt to kill her like agreed. I look at him, knowing what is going to happen now. He points the gun at me. Bang, bang, bang..three shots, pushing me against the back of a car parking car.
Sunnovabitch...Koji let himself be shot!
And THIS is why you should NEVER, and I mean NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER, trust a gang member. You can make deals with one, but once/if they kill you, the deal is off.
I.....I.....I....................................................... .
...
*Beep* *Beep*
"Wait a second, I've got a message.", Sho says.
"It, it's from Koji."
So Koji barely has enough strength to fire his weapon, nor does he have the ability to determine if he killed the boss or if Aichan was hurt, yet he's able to send Sho a text message?
He must have sent it during the car chase.
The end is not satisfying? - Uh-huh...
Well, you DID write it as a "Noir" story, so the open-ended/uncertain nature of it does fit somewhat.
All in all, good job I say. :thumbsup
-
That line could be interpreted in...*cough*...other ways.
I should have expected this in the JPH!P forum.
