Goto has the chops to move away from the generic H!P style. SBT was her best single, imho, so I really hope the other songs on the album will have that kind of sound!

I'm looking forward to it but am now getting nervous for her cause if Tsunku doesn't define her new direction and develop it, her new adult seductive style will lose most of the mainstream fans in Japan. It's all riding on this album as the 10th anniversary single and Secret didn't help that. We all know she can shift styles and pull each of them off with ease but that's not what MTV fans and the mainstream style wants now. It's mostly all R&B now. On the other hand, I don't want to see Gocchin go sleazy like Kumi! I never liked her but I'm not going to start into that! I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Tsunku san records!

I don't care about opinions, I would love it to be more R&B based :] Since it seems to be the direction she's pursuing and whatnot. Since we're having an album... I can't wait for the concert tour xD I wonder if that's going to be dance-based like her previous concert was xD

How to use Sexy = Best name for the album.
A mix with her sexy songs, some good ballads, RnB' and even some funny song will be the best. I prefer that Maki doesn't fix into any particular style. But if I have to choose I would say I enjor her "sexy" songs more than the others.

99% sure this is the same photoshoot as the album.
It's HOT. Although, a bit too much fake tan. Dark wet hair and dark surroundings though, HOT.
At least she knows how to use sexy. :lol:

The way it's tied, I'd say it's meant to evoke an image that she hastily threw it on to cover her sexy nekkidness, and even maybe be teasing you to rip it back off. :jerk:

That one being the new cover is a disappointment but the one in the blue has a more natural pose and looks like a better match all around. I'm sorry to be critical but our dear 510 san needs this one to be a success for her future career! Am still looking forward to this long awaited album!

Limited one has a kind of forced pose, and overall looks deppresing IMO. Gray + wet hair + a bad tan = :(
Regular one is way better! the ambiance is peaceful as is Maki's look, although it reminds me of Leah's LOVE U cover XD

The bigger pics are somewhat better, but something is off about the LE one. Her tongue is in a weird position.. The expression in her eyes gives out more of a 'cute' vibe than a sexy vibe.. If she looked a little more 'daring' it would be much sexier :)

It would also be very much appreciated if people didn't bash the covers (or anything, really) so severely, such as declaring it "ugly". True, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but just a simple statement of "I dislike it" would work just fine :) Remember, this is a place for Goto fans!

I LOVE IT. It's absolutely amazing! Some boys! mixed in with ethnic urban beats. Her low voice caught me off guard, but I like it. This is SUCH a good song.

This song is so great! I'm really glad that this was the first song I heard from the new album. I love how she uses her deep voice instead of her bubble gum H!P one. Now I know without a doubt that I did the right thing when I pre-ordered it! Now I just want more.

* very dancable and cool, i love it overall
* the chorus part is 'ok'.. it kinda reminds me of like, every other goto song
* ... BUT her vocals were slammin
* even if it's kinda rehashed, in the end it doesn't matter since i love it (stick with what works lol)
i hope the rest of the album is upbeat too.. and not like, ballads, ballads, ballads. i still haven't preordered my copy ;;;;

Totally different type of songs than I expected. I expected the songs to be like how to use loneliness and more r 'n bish.. But there are actually more slower/mid tempo songs.. some even with a jazzy feel to it. I'm not sure if I'm relieved or disappointed haha.

I'll be honest. I'm dissapointed.
Most, if not all the songs have some form of repeated object sound, which makes it sound like it's from the 90s or something. The album isn't sexy at all. :(

I'm not quite sure how I feel after listening to the previews. Like yokoso said on her LJ, the songs do feel like they belong on an Ayaya album rather than on Goto's, but... You can't deny that her voice is great on all of the tracks. It definitely has a much more laid-back feel to it than I was expecting (it's actually a lot in the style of Secret, my least favourite of her recent singles :-\) but I think it could grow on me.
Definitely a more mature sound for Goto, but not the one we were all hoping for!

Based on previews, seems like the whole album would rather belong to Ayaya. I find that awesome, I've never liked Some Boys! Touch or Glass no Pumps enough. So, props to the arrangement men/women! It may not appeal to everyone, like Aya's new direction, but it's her best material yet, it's impressive, it has good vocals, I for one welcome this new style.
If I could chose Maki's direction, I'd definitely put her up as a rock star though :lol:

I mean, I really do like the songs as whole. My friend (Tina) who absolutely loved her past three singles was so looking forward to this CD (keep in mind, she's not a jpop fan to begin with).. but the previews she remarked, just seemed completely out of character with secret, SBT, etc.
As much as I do like the new songs, and as much as I LOVE her voice (major :wub: there!!) it's not at all what I was originally looking forward to. ESPECIALLY after hearing loneliness.. I was all like (YES!!) but WHAM.. NO11!! Quite a surprise I'm not so happy about. I think if this came at any other time from her.. or came from a different singer (Ayaya would have rocked a lot of these songs out to be honest), I would have been quite pleased. For what it's worth, I'll def enjoy these new songs.. BUT.. it's still a letdown after being so pumped up the past several months. Like wakaba said, it's like SECRET X's 8. ;;;;;;;
It's like, someone telling you they're making apple pie.. and you get all psyched, etc bring the damn whipped cream.. and instead you get a slide of apple cake. Both are great, but the cake isn't what you were looking forward to.

i find this album overall has the most detached H!P feel, in a positive way. And I have a feeling it's a bit leaning towards the kumi-style, which is great for Maki ofcourse. She was bound to release a mature album. The fact that tsunku omitted the numbers in the title and past singles, confirmed our guessings that she is going for the sexyish laid back rnb type of artist.

Wow. I've made a COMPLETE 180 on this, NEVER TRUST SAMPLE SONGS, EVER.
1. How to use loneliness = amazing,one of my favourites.
2. GIVE ME LOVE = wow, this is REALLY catchy, I love the beats and sounds in this.
3. SOME BOYS! Touch = amazing, as always.
4. City Wind = I LOVE THIS, SHOULD OF BEEN SECRETS RELEASE.
5. Nee Samishikute = It was a nice enough song, a bit average for me.
6. GNP = LOVE IT.
7. DAYBREAK = TERRIBLE, worst song on the album. Bad beats and sounds, and I was just sitting waiting for it to end.
8. WOW Suteki = Cheesy, its average and very cheesy. Would of been better in the 90s.
9 . SECRET = love it.
10. LIFE = WOW, WHAT AN ENDING. Accapella Maki FOR THE FUCKING WIN.
So, yeah, I've ordered my copy. :heart: :heart:

I feel exactly the same!
When I was listening to the previews I felt suicidal, but when I got the album...
This album is fresh and the songs are awesome!
My favorites are definitely:
1. How to Use Loneliness (Total Ownage!)
2. WOW Suteki
3. GIVE ME LOVE
4. LIFE
The other songs are also good, but I haven't listen to them as much yet.

Enjoyed it.. but I'm sticking with that I said earlier. The first half of the album was totally rad. It kinda went downhill for me with the rest (of the new songs anyway). Sure they were fab and all.. but they didn't seem to match(?) with the previous songs at all. Kinda strange. I'm thinking it would have sounded much better if they were mixed in a little as opposed to being clumped toward the end.

I've been pretty impressed with this album, actually. Review(Opinion) Time (yeah, totally copying Adamu. Whatever)!
1. How to Use Loneliness - It's pretty good. I really like Maki doing this type of music, but it's not my favorite on this album by far.
2. Give Me Love - OH SNAP AWESOME! So catchy and SO SO GOOD. :heart:
3. Some Boys! Touch - STILL makes me feel I should go clubbing.
4. City Wind - I'm pretty sure this song will be frequenting my playlist A LOT in the next few weeks. This album hasn't disappointed yet!
5. Nee Samishikute - First not so good song on the album. It's pretty boring, actually.
6. Glass no Pumps - Still not as catchy as SB!T
7. Daybreak - Earns a big stack of WIN from me! Definitely one of my new Maki favorites! :wub: I love, love this kind of loungey jazzy type song. I wouldn't recommend a whole album of it, but man it's awesome!
8. WOW Suteki - Eh. It's average. It might have worked better on a Miki solo album, really. It just didn't seem to fit.
9. Secret - Still a generic ballad with water drops to me. There are so many better Maki ballads than this....
10. LIFE - ....LIKE THIS ONE! OH MY GOSH THIS SONG IS BRILLIANT. It's so beautiful and Maki sounds AMAZING. This almost beats Egao for my favorite H!P ballad ever.
This album alone has definitely made me more of a Maki fan than I have been previously. :wub:
Now if they would just release Hips Don't Lie... :w00t:

Definitely Gocchin's best work to date, imho. Like a lot of people, I really didn't know what to think from the previews, but after listening to it in its entirety twice already (and counting...) I'm completely sold. GIVE ME LOVE and City Wind are my favourites, with How to use Loneliness and SBT/GnP as runner-ups. She did absolutely BRILLIANT on Life... The a cappella part is just wow :wub:

I downloaded the rip, listened to it at work, and bought it off of iTunes as soon as I got home.
LIFE is freaking amazing. I listened to it .... well, not quite to the Yossi Uta Doki rip level, but quite a bit - I think about 4 times at work alone. :lol:
Fan-freaking tastic. Renewed my Goto fandom :love:

I LOVE this album!!! :heart: I can't pick a favorite...How to use Loneliness, GIVE ME LOVE, City Wind, SOME BOYS! or Glass no Pumps - those are great. And the ending of LIFE is amazing! That acapella is pure love :heart: Adding this to the top of my list of stuff to buy when I have money. My love for Goto has officially returned :-*

I think internet sales only count towards the first day sales. At least thats what I've heard.
I thought the album would be waiting for me by today since it shipped Tuesday. Now I have to wait till next Tuesday before I can get it. :-\

wow... this album is awesome.. love it so much.. i love almost all of the song...... the first and second song, how to use loneliness and give me love is amazing.. i started fantasying about her dance.... definitely it would be amazing.....i'm really curious with her concert now.....
and... somehow what i love most from gocchin is she is always moving forward.... i think her vocal is somehow developing.....the opinion goes after heard life is.................

:banghead: Man, we were all hoping for much larger numbers but at least it debut at 6. I hope her recent tv appearances and GE II tour will help build back the momentum she started since Some Boys Touch. They shouldn't have waited so long to release mature style songs!

I just got both versions in the mail today! O0 I can honestly say that this is a great album! I'm not just saying that cause she's my favorite HP member but really is great! Sumimasen Tsunku san!! Gocchin as usual sang brilliantly and powerfully with professional technique! She really has matured as an artist. Now if only the rest of Japan can just recognize her talent and all buy this album!!! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE BUY IT!

Sometimes CDJAPAN says "photo" instead of "photo card". I ordered other stuff before and they said "photo", even though I know it's only supposed to be a photo card part of the single/album.

'how to use sexy' is great! love her new sexy style as in 'glass no pumps' and 'some boys touch'. my favorite song in this album is 'wow suteki' at this moment. the photocard is just :twisted: :inlove: :twisted: :inlove:
