Of course it would have to be FOX "news" that reported this. :P
Fox News hosts initially got a laugh out of recent allegations by a professor at Louisiana State University that tv personality Mr. Rogers produced a generation of kids who believe that "you're special just for being who you are" and therefore feel no need to work hard. ROFL
I think the generation is screwed up by technology more than a TV show.
-
Are you SERIOUS!? What are we supposed to do? Tell our kids they are not special, now go get a job and be what people want to think is a "productive member of society?"
Clearly Fox has never been to the neighborhood of make-believe! Daniel the Tiger would teach them what's what!

Fox News.....now thats comedy.

Yeah yeah, it's so fashionable to bash Fox these days.
At least they're reporting something besides just continually blaming Bush, which in my opinion is getting very old.

Well tell Bush to stop screwing up! :P

You miss the point, though.
The news was never supposed to be about opinion, only to report facts so that individuals have enough info to make their own opinions. Fox is no worse a news network for adopting right-wing characteristics as is any other news network for taking time out to bash Bush.
Besides, Bush is only in office for one more year. It's time to stop complaining and to start thinking of some real solutions (which, as far as I'm concerned, no democrats have suggested! so if you don't like Bush's actions, start coming up with some of your own!)
And to not hijack the thread, that professor's opinion is not entirely unjustified. It's not simply that Mr. Rogers alone ruined an entire generation, but that a wide range of pop culture influenced the generation in a way that misused our ideals of freedom and individuality.
