Title: Nuclear leak after earthquake in Japan
Post by: Foxy Brown on July 17, 2007, 05:21:26 AM
A strong earthquake struck central Japan, killing at least eight people, injuring hundreds and causing a fire and radioactive leak at the world's biggest nuclear power plant. (http://news.independent.co.uk/world/asia/article2776109.ece)

Only small fire at electric transformer and leaking from tipping waste water barrel on severe earthquake, is a very good standard. They have to improve standard further but this is not so bad.  Only bad thing is delayed reporting to regulatory agency.  The delay is less than half a day but still should be faster in case of evacuation.

Sensational news reporting, I saw the aerial video footage of fire on news already.  It was outside building and not a big fire.
