Title: Strip-Searches For Japanese Yakuza Tattoos Banned In The Philippines
Post by: Foxy Brown on July 31, 2007, 12:29:23 AM
The Philippine government on Thursday ordered all immigration officers to stop requiring Japanese nationals suspected of being members of the Yakuza crime syndicates to undergo strip-searches to look for the gang's distinctive tattoos. (http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7007833113)

Yakuza are generally easy to spot, so there shouldn't be a need to look for tattoos..

Half a pinky missing = Yakuza
Long scar on cheek = Yakuza
Small guy & big gut = Yakuza
Extremely loud suit  = Yakuza
Tight brown perm    = Yakuza (don't really see this one much anymore)

Saw one the other week in a coffee shop, and his fashion sense (or lack of), was so funny.
Black cowboy hat covered in badges, black silk shirt with a traditional white Japanese scene printed on the front and black suede pants. He was decked out in gold.. Gold rings, watch, glasses, necklace...etc.. But his winning fashion piece, were his lime green Elmo slippers..
And on top of that, he was about 70..
