In a new setback to Microsoft's public sector business, the influential National Institute of Standards and Technology has banned the software maker's Windows Vista operating system from its internal computing networks, according to an agency document obtained by InformationWeek. I've been holding off too. Vista really doesn't seem like a step forward.

shiet, i'm not even going to touch vista unless someone can give me a reason to do otherwise.

Direct X10 is no big deal so far, and games being made "vista-only" to get people to upgrade have patches eventually released to work on XP.  Some games work better on XP.

Hm, it is an article from some months back already (e.g. march 2007).

I do like Vista for its better touchscreen handling (fragging TIP in SP2 is a joke)
