Title: Nuclear Bombs Mistakenly Flown Over US

A B-52 bomber was mistakenly armed with six nuclear warheads and flown for more than three hours across several states last week, prompting an Air Force investigation and the firing of one commander, Pentagon officials said Wednesday.

Rep. Ike Skelton, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, called the mishandling of the weapons "deeply disturbing" and said the committee would press the military for details. (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5j901fBPo3UB2MIaSWhPqXOPICIzw)

September 11 is fast approaching and things seem to get a little bit weird this time around :shocked:. If it's not the Americans, it must be the muslims causing all the fuss :?. Oh dear...

Funny thing is, that all the warheads were accounted for, but these 5 were for some reason on that plane.  They passed through many hands, and checkpoints and checklist.  And under the supervision and perhaps knowledge of 3 officers.

A lot of people's careers are ending over this one.
