A lesbian couple in Australia are suing their doctor after they had twin girls from an in vitro fertilisation (IVF) procedure when they only wanted one child. (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070920/od_uk_nm/oukoe_uk_australia_twins;_ylt=AtXaKhQE5M5ZZmu3DU43MkftiBIF)

"The litigation involving twins already three years old undermines the importance of parenthood," conservative government Senator Guy Barnett said on Thursday.
"We seem more intent on preserving and pandering to the wishes of adults, than we are in protecting the rights of children," he said.
QFT.
Can only shake my head at this, nothing else to say.

Ignorant lesbians, In Vitro Fertilization is not an exact science. Some couples have no success at all. What do they want doctor to do, kill one embryo? Which one to kill then. These people are not suitable to be mothers.

And this is why medical care is so expensive. Maybe if doctors could spend more time in the emergency room than in the court room and spent more on nurses than on lawyers and more on prescriptions than on malpractice insurance the system would work better.
Sigh.

What amuses me is, if they really were so clear to the doc about wanting only one child, why did they wait 3 years to file a suit?

I thought the lesbians were all about having kids...
lol I'm just kidding, thats just what my favorite comedienne, Kathy Griffin, usually says
