This is the first time I'm not getting moist over Ayu's new album, I really liked the last proper single but glitter/faded I really couldn't stand. Secret wasn't bad but I never find myself listening to it, in fact I've been off Ayu on the whole for the past few months...hopefully this album can change my mind but this will be the first of her albums I won't pre-order.

Personally I find GUILTY covers one of the worst Ayu ever did. But that's just imho. And it's not like it'll make me cancel my 11/13 pre-order or something :lol:

I like the CD+DVD cover better than the CD-only cover. The dress on the CD-only cover looks doinky IMO.

(miss)understood covers were so horrible that I totally forgot about them :banghead:
The dress is kinda nostalgic and all (Duty :heart:) but it just looks too damn cheesy. Ayu's pose on CD only cover is too awkward and while CD+DVD cover is sorta okay she still has freaky nail art that ruins it (her lips look a bit weird too) -_- I'm not even gonna comment on the text position and font...
I just hope the album has some kickass album tracks to make up for the covers :-\

I actually really like the covers! I was immediately reminded of 'Duty' with the whole animal-print scheme too, haha :heart: The CD+DVD cover is definitely better than the CD only one though. The shot was taken too wide, I think XD

doinkies forgot to add this before, but I'm also interested in the titles of some of the new songs...mainly "Marionette", "(don't) Leave me alone)", "The Judgment Day" and "untitled ~for her~".
Marionette sounds like it'll be some sort of "music industry bashing" song like alterna (though the PV was more in that vein).

^ I doubt it. You're putting alterna PV together with it because you're thinking of "doll" in the alterna PV and automatically assuming because it's called "marionette" it's going to be industry bashing.

Yeah, it could be about something else, too. But I guess we'll have to wait for a preview to see what the song is really about. ^^ I don't think it will be an instrumental, though, because it'll have a PV. The prelude might be an instrumental though.

Yes, I've seen the Alterna PV? I don't see why the picture was necessary? Did you understand my post? It's safe to assume the PV might have a Marionette in it, but assuming it's going to be industry bashing just because Alterna had a puppet too is a very offbeat assumption.

The leak was everywhere on the net yesterday, so naturally I downloaded it (even though my hard copy is on its way! XD) I can definitely say this album is amazing, from start to finish. It's the first full album from Ayu since MY STORY that had a clear vision throughout, imho. I loved it :heart:

I listened to this album and I must admit that I really, really like it. There could have been more rock-ish songs for me, but it is great!

So I finally get to listen to the new album and as expected...its blah. Dammit am I the only one who thinks she's going downhill? Maybe I'm just getting bored of her. The rockish thing that she's doing is also getting really old. Try out something new, lady.
Secret was bad enough but at least it has some good singles, this one has none of that.

It was My Story. Now that was a great album. (Mis)understood was alright, I like about half of the songs there, but I didn't like Secret. It wasn't that bad actually but I thought it was her worst album. And now I have a new favorite worst Ayu album. :)
Hell...I used to be one of the biggest fans and would buy anything that has her face on the cover but I've been losing interest for the past few years.
I'm actually starting to like Koda Kumi who I thought was a real bitch when I was still digging Ayu.

I guess that happens to everyone, losing interest. Ayu changes, her fans change too. For example, I get bored watching her recent concerts, her lyrics sound a bit repetitive now and I don't like her summer singles at all either. But I still like Ayu's rock-ish songs and count myself as her fan... btw I thought MY STORY was mediocre & (miss)understood just sucked, so 十人十色 :oops:

god, I cannot believe how stupid I am. After such a long waiting time, my GUILTY copy finally arrived. Full of anticipation, I'm opening my package and what do I have to find? I ordered the wrong copy - the one without the photobook. :banghead: :banghead:

As soon as I saw "GUILTY" was up on the net, I told my wife "This is gonna fuck with her sales!", and I'm positive it has..
Sure, true fans will still buy it in the end, but a lot of people here will now buy it after the next pay day, since not many have spare cash just after Christmas, and definitely not something you could easily get for free..
Fans that upload always say they are trying to share the love, but in reality, they are screwing an artist out of sales/money..

Personally, I think that sharing a virtually "unknown" artist's music can be a good thing, since it can attract new fans, but artists such as Hamasaki doesn't need word-of-mouth anymore...
I should point out, that I'm in no way a Hamasaki fan (when I went to a☆nation the other year, I didn't even stick around to watch her performance), but I'm a strong believer that an artist deserves the ranking/sales they are entitled to..
