Title: 90 suicides a day spur Japan into action
Post by: Foxy Brown on November 17, 2007, 01:35:52 AM
The Japanese Government is calling for a complete national rethink about attitudes to suicide in an effort to unravel centuries of social pressure and tradition.

The practice, which claims more than 90 lives each day, should no longer be seen as “the honourable way out” but as an act of desperation and – perhaps – preventable misery.  (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asia/article2852762.ece)
