「LALALA 幸せの歌」(LALALA Shiawase no Uta) is the title for C-ute's 4th single. Morning Musume, Berryz Koubou and C-ute have sung this at Kouhaku Utagassen 2007, and it was performed by the same groups at the Hello! Project 2008 Winter ~Wonderful Hearts Nenjuu Mu Kyuu~ concert too.

I forsee.... LOTS OF AIRI. Line or two for Maimi (although probably centre in the dance), a splash of Nakki/Mai, who seem to be the new duo of surprising win, and Kanna, Erika and Chisato left to anguish on the outskirts. Kanna may get thrown a bone if she's lucky.
Just like every other single! :P
Seriously though, it'll be really, really tough to top Tokaikko. I can't see it happening, so my expectations are already very low. So long as either the a or b-side is good, I'll be happy.

I guess when I hear her voice in the songs, I don't think about her taking the parts much, but when it comes time for the PV, and I see all those shots of her, it gets annoying. I really like her, but Tsuku, come on dude.

I'm expecting lines for the rest of the c-uties too. But you know H!P groups, they need a clear leader figure (even if it isn't really the leader) and the rest of the group will find its way to balance out. The girls aren't the ones to blame though, blame UFA management.
I still think that Tokaikko Junjou was more fair with lines distributation than say, Sakura Chirari. Sato, Nakky and Maimai got more screentime than the usual in Tokaikko.
Anyways, you always have the C-ute b-sides and the concerts. Listen to/watch them and ya'll see that it is not always about Airi.

Have you seen the colour coding for Tokaikko Junjou? It's all Airi and The Rest sharing lines that aren't hers. (And even then, she sings the chorus with Maimi and Mai.)
True, Nakki actually got solo lines, and much more screen time, considering she hasn't really had any. But compared to oh, say Meguru which had them singing in sub groups, Tokaikko Junjou was Airi and C-ute. It's not as unfair with Berryz' Special Generation (basically Captain, Chinami, Maasa, and Maiha didn't sing), but the exclusion of Maimi from solos basically tipped the scales towards Airi.

I'm hoping they can pull it off. since the first time hearing it I'm left with an impression that this song is best sung in a large group, especially in concerts. so I'm kind of skeptical whether the C-ute version will be exciting enough..
But still hoping here! it might turn out even better, who knows? :)

well, new singles are always exciting, but this one being a cover is kinda boring... but °c-ute always makes a good job, so I hope this song gets interesting later. The PV can help with that (even though I'm not a huge fan of sakura chirari-like songs)... :-\

As much as I was looking forward to a new song (...with a Cutie Ranger b-side...), this song really fits them and it does get stuck in your head.

Just heard the radio rip. I take back my initial misgivings, I really do quite like it. Certainly no Tokaikko, but it can fit up there with Meguru and Sakura. Both of which I wasn't such a big fan of to begin with, but grow with time and repeat listenings. It's not a ballad, that's all I can ask for really....

In the solo lines? The only ones who get solos are Airi, Maimi, Mai, and Saki, again. Kanna, Erika, and Chisato sing right before the chorus, I think.

Ok. The new arrangement kicks ass! But I'm still sad about the leads. Chisato's voice would've been perfect for the parts Saki and Maimai sing, but alas front girl-ism gets the best of us. You can't really ask for anything these days. :P And it seems like they either added a verse. But I think the H!P version has Miyabi, Airi and Reina singing the solos in the second verse. Iono too tired to use proper english grammar.

The song is stuck in my head, but the La La La parts in the end can get a little annoying. And the PV is cute, I thought it was going to be like Munasawagi Scarlet (with the make-up and mirrors and stuff) but it doesn't. The only thing is that, even though Maimi's my favorite, the other girls almost didn't appear at all! And I'm not a fan of their dresses either. :lol:
Is it just me, or the camera works differently in this PV? It looks different, with more movement around the girls, especially when they're dancing.

The girls looked really bored in the lalalala parts (which lasted WAY TOO LONG, and it's not like you have to have a decently-sounding voice to sing a bunch of lalalala's. Anyone can do that), they're wearing furries and the dance is not even worth doing it. I hate how much they edited their voices, and I also dislike the arrangement. They looked cute, but they can do much better than that. Oh well, at least I will always have a ºC-ute concert with some quality to cheer me up.
Who knows, maybe Tsunku is saving the good songs for the C-ute album.

The PV's ok. It needed more of the 'other' girls but you can't please everyone can you. Mai Mai's oversized shoes/boots always make me laugh (or is it just my eyes thinking that they are too big for her?)

After watching it many times, I'm starting to like it. The song is still my least fav C-ute song, but hey there are people who hate Tokaikko Junjou XD
Also, I don't see the problem with a "recycled" pv (the make-up thing has been used before in Munasawagi Scarlet and Onna Kanashii Otona). The Peace and Jajauma Paradise are also kinda "recycled" from these videos: Never can say goodbye (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmFkAa-g45k) & I don't need a man (http://youtube.com/watch?v=-ENpla5NFCM). So it's not the first time it happens and it's not gonna be the end of C-ute either.
Plus the PV is fun and simple. Simplicity :heart: (was in a bad mood to notice it earlier. Still hoping for good songs in the album though :yep: )

I guess because people were expecting something even better than Tokaikko Junjou, and because a lot of people hated the Kouhaku performance that it was first performed in?
I don't mind the song myself, though it's not as good as some other C-ute songs it's not horrible either. The dresses look doinky, though. They would look better without the fur on them.

True. ºC-ute already had the spotlight with the prizes and all and UFA spoiled the momentum yet again. Avex would have released single+album in Jan 1st. Maybe that would have topped Junjou sales. Now two months later...
LALALA has grown on me, but it's still nothing special. And it's gonna be in the album, so I don't care. Album will determine if they gained fans or not.

Tough competition, lots of big names artists/groups. despite that, i think C-ute will do fine. You can't count out the 49th Japan Record's "Best New Artist" out just yet. This single has also been winning over alot of hearts.
I think C-ute have a good chance against Tohoshinki's Xiah Junsu, too. I dunno about his popularity compared to the other members, but Both Changmin and Micky Yoochun's single fared well, selling nearly 20k each. and correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't Xiah the most famous member as well as the best singer? So he might do better than his other 2 members.
What's most interesting, to me, is the 2 idol girl groups is battling it out for the first time, C-ute and AKB48. both debuted in 2006, although C-ute only started releasing a major single in 2007. They both gained alot of fans in their 1-2 years career.
now it's more like a battle for C-ute wotas and AKB48 wotas. but isn't most of us like these two groups, i wonder how a fan for both groups feel...
