Sometimes a movie comes along that just looks like it may be one of the most insanely crazy films you may ever see. This is where Noboru Iguchi's film The Machine Girl steps in. Dread Central posted the first official trailer and I must say my jaw dropped. I think of it as kind of Planet Terror meets Versus, except without the zombies. This looks to me like it is going to be one of those crazy over the top Asian action/horror films that should not be missed. Yoshihiro Nishimura, who did effects on Meatball Machine & Suicide Club, is in charge of the films make up/special effects. Yûji Shimomura, who was the action director on Versus, is the action choreographer for The Machine Girl. According to Fangoria, Machine Girl is about a teenager named Ami who sets out for revenge on a gang of bullies who tortured her little brother to death. She winds up losing an arm along the way, and replaces it with a high-powered gun, Ã la Rose McGowan in Grindhouse. But she doesn't stop at one limb; Ami continues to lose body parts and replac[e] them with more weapons as she is hellbent on revenge. The Machine Girl is slated to be released by Fever Dreams at a TBD 2008 date in Japan.

I saw the trailer for this just a couple of days ago... I'm sooo looking forward to this movie. Forget Indiana Jones, i want Machine Girl! I'd also love to have that full-sized movie poster to hang on my wall

Oh hellz mofo yea. I'm familiar with Minase as a grav model ( i've seen some clips of her dating from late last year) but I have yet to see her act in a movie. In fact I would never ever thought that she would be in a movie like this. This should be interesting, being a big gore fan and all. Bring on the splatterfest!
If I were to get scatter shot by a girl with a machine gun she would def be the one. I would die a happy man :)

Just finished watching it. And boy, damn, it was even more than I expected. Awesome from start to finish!! The humor, the action, the story, the hot chicks, all of it. Fucking awesome!
On to actresses: So uhm who's playing who? And which actresses does JAV and which does Gravure.
Minase Yashiro (gravure) plays Ami and I think Asami (JAV) plays Miki, right? Help me fill in the rest guys. :D
About release dates. I think the US DVD is set for June 3 while it hits cinema's or something on August 8 in Japan.

Saw a 4.35GB version on BT, and the nfo read "RIP NOTES: Nothing Ripped Enjoy!!!!".. Well, that was a load of crap!!
While the "movie" is a little blocky, the extras are so damn blocky, they look like they were filmed with an early 90's webcam.. :bleed eyes:
Ripping the "behind the scenes" footage now, and if it turns out watchable, I'll up it here for those of you that would like to see it..

YO. So i went to Pac Mall today (chinese mall in toronto = bootleg paradise) and my boy was like, 'Machine Girl! I was looking for this!' I've never heard of it.
We went to a friends house and we watched it. I had no expectations for it.
MOVIE WAS FUCKING AWESOME! Shit, the main actress was cute, even when she had blood all over her. The upskirt shots were a nice touch. I think the Chainsaw girl was JAV girl Honoka (anyone see the Macka-Chin video for Takethisshit? she's in it. hot).
The violence was over the top! i think its the most blood i've seen in a movie. Some of it was unnecessary, but still funny as hell. Like the part where Honoka attached the chainsaw to her leg, and cut the guy in half for a good minute (evil dead anyone?). Or when Ami just got the machinegun, and blasted all the flesh from the ninja's head exposing his skull and eyeballs! Fun FUN FUN!
The movie had some nice angles in it too. I don't understand how Chainsaw chick died from lack of blood, while Ami survived days with blood flowing from her cut off arm.
Anyways, not the best movie, but one of the most entertaining this year!

Had a look at the Japanese "rental" version tonight (was gonna grab it just for this), and it's not included. :banghead:
Guess they are only including it with the "sale" version..

There were still serious heavy underlying themes though.
1. You can't escape what society makes of you? I.e. everybody looked at her family as murderers --> she becomes one.

I recently watched 'Scat Girls From Space' the other day and I realized that the same director did Machine Girl! Even more of a reason for me to check this film out, I suppose. What other works has he done that are good?
