Pakistan opposition leader Benazir Bhutto has been assassinated by a suicide bomb and gun attacker

Sad. This makes things even harder for the people there. I hope that her supporters realize that rioting is probably the worst thing they could do now.

It's still too early to really know what happened yet either.

I watched the "Official" statement made by Pakistan's current PM where he talks about continuing to fight the extremists that carried out the assassination. My first thought was..."Yeah, just like how O.J. pledged to find the 'real killers' ".   (http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c340/J-F-C/nono.gif)

I think it is quite difficult for military to find suicide bomber.  M.O. is fit with religious fanatics.  Military is about control so that lower rank officer will not turn around and kill superior officer.  So one must be quite abnormal (from our view) to suicide bomb.  If it is military, he would rather kill and disappear.

Very sad and shocking news indeed. Apparently the cause of death was not by the gunshot but from the force of the explosion.
