Roy Scheider, a two-time Oscar nominee best known for his role as a police chief in the blockbuster movie "Jaws," died Sunday. He was 75. (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5hKHy4OUtBzC0af0U1NXkiVNx76DQD8UNSPIG0)

RIP Mr. Scheider. :prayers:

He had a great career, was well respected and lived to 75. Congrats on a life well-lived!

My friend, a fellow movie buff, said there was something cool and easy about Scheider: a commanding presense, yet at the same time mellow.
I can't believe it's been over 30 years since "Jaws" freaked out a nation...
