Title: Texas Ban on Sex Toy Sales Is Overturned
Post by: Foxy Brown on February 15, 2008, 07:42:27 PM
A federal appeals court has overturned a statute outlawing sex toy sales in Texas, one of the last states - all in the South - to retain such a ban.

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Texas law making it illegal to sell or promote obscene devices, punishable by as many as two years in jail, violated the right to privacy guaranteed by the 14th Amendment. Texas is simply once again way ahead of the curve- just like with state sponsored executions.

It was only a matter of time before the banned was overturned. What was the reason for it again? Oh yeah, " Think of the children! "

I really didn't understand those laws. I mean are they some kind of misguided attempt to curb the moral decline in our country? Shouldn't married couples be free to do whatever they might like in their own bedroom? Are the old farts just jealous that they can no longer sexually perform on a level that would require such accessories? The world may never know.
