In preperation for her solo singer debut, Mano Erina has graduated from Ongaku Gatas on March 2nd, 2008 at the final concert of the Ongaku Gatas tour in Osaka. She will also graduate from the H!P Eggs at the March 29th Newcomer concert, as her training is now complete.

本日はみなさまに『音楽ガッタス』真野恵里菜に関してのご報告です。
真野恵里菜は今後予定されているソロ歌手デビューの準備に入る為、本日2008年3月2日の音楽ガッタス大阪厚生年金会館公演をもって『音楽ガッタス』を卒業、また、2008年3月29日に横浜BLITZにて行われる『2008 ハロー！プロジェクト新人公演 3月 ～キラメキの横浜～』をもって『ハロプロエッグ』の研修を修了することになりました。
様々なレッスンを経て、次にみなさまの前に歌手として立つ時は1回りも2回りも成長しているはずです。
今後の真野恵里菜にご期待下さい。

I remember gossip back saying an egg would be a successor of Matsuura. Wow.. I hope another gossip bit with that one isn't proven true though. But I'm really happy for Mano Erina. omggggg

Coolness. Good for her :heart: I'm not sure if she has the voice to be a soloist yet, but I'm interested to see her debut (and wonder if she'll be replaced in OG...or maybe Sawada and Sengoku could take her space ^-^ )

I'm definitely not a fan of her at all. I think she's WAAAAAY overrated by everyone, but I know what you meant. She's pretty popular with fans.
And I don't think she's ready at all to become a soloist. Hopefully she has AT LEAST a years amount of training before they do something with her... But I really don't think she'll do well.
And I'm hoping she is replaced in OG, but at the same time not... This is definitely a chance for Sengoku or Sawada to take her spot, but I would love to see Shibata or Fujimoto in the group at the same time. I would mention those four (Kanae, Ai, Hiromi, Saki) Gatas members, but I don't think they actually sing :lol: The rest of the team is Berryz/C-ute so I doubt they'll be added. So who knows if they add a member.
I can definitely see them adding Shibata, though

This is exciting news indeed. Plus, won't she be the only soloist who's not in the elders club? That's also pretty cool. I hope she does well as a solo artist because I believe she has the personality and it will be really fun to watch her grow. :heart:
Now all we need is for Ogawa to come back and join Ongaku Gatas....

This is great she was one of my favourite members of HP and when i heard she had graduated i pretty much assumed that was the end of her. This is great news.

If this was what they were planning all along, then it was pretty stupid that UF didn't promote OG more. In the past 7 months, she's had only one minor tv appearance. How do they expect anyone to be successful with so little promotion? :angry:
Anyhoo, I guess this means we can expect a pb+dvd from her very soon to inaugurate her debut.

I'm not really a follower of the eggs and so I don't know anything about her really, recognise her from Gatas but that's about it. Good to see a new soloist though and great to see someone from the Eggs getting a chance like this.
I can't really comment on what I think of her or how she will turn out 'cause like I say I don't know enough about her, I look forward to it though, always good to see other memebrs given a chance.

I did not expect this AT ALL. I guess it's about time that some of the Eggs break out, but the thought never entered my mind that they would make one of them solo already.
But who says they need to replace her in OG with anyone? Give the other eggs like Sengoku and Sawada more chance to shine!

I hope that all the UNbitter and beautifully awesome and loving H!P Egg fans can show their support for Manoeri, and at the same time show that hey! We're interested in Eggs, keep 'em coming! You think it's gonna further your cause of getting another Egg to debut if you just sit in your chair and whine about it being someone else than who you wanted it to be? That's not going to change a thing!!

Generally speaking, people here at jph!p have, once again, been absolutely great about this piece of news, ahh this is why I love JPH!P :heart: But ya know it's not everywhere and or even everyone here who can take this piece of news as a great news for ANY fresh talent in H!P having a chance of showing what they're all about. HOPEFULLY Erina Mano will be the path-maker for many, and I cannot understand how anyone could wish or wait for her to fail. How exactly is that going to further anyone's cause?? Except for your own selfish, evil wish of seeing someone fail.

well, H!P was bound to have a fresh solo act beside the 'oldies' (ayaya, nacchi, yuuko, yuki and miki) and the popular Koharu. looking forward how they will promote her. probably not a tie in with an anime , since koharu occupies that spot. And not expecting a Goto maki type of soloist either. She may replace the oldskool ayaya happy genki songs type of soloist. Hmm, interesting.

I really really hope they train her well, because the way Mano is now (personality and voice-wise), she won't go too far. But hey, who's saying she's gonna even release. Yasuda is a "solo artist" too. :lol:

^But really there'd be no point in her graduating ongaku gatas if she wasn't really going to...graduating MM is kinda different cuz u have to after a point..manoeri hadnt reached that point with gatas by any means.
I hope she takes the oldskool genki spot and joins wonderful hearts!(cuz ongaku gatas are in elders aren't they?) cuz they're in neeeeeed of a soloist or 3.

Then... wouldn't it make more sense to KEEP her in Ongaku Gatas? UFA would make more money like that. I'm not really sure why they're even making Mano a "soloist". Maybe they think her being new (she only joined H!P last year) would appeal more fans than being good? IMO, Mano's not that good yet... why to make her a soloist, before many other deserving Eggs (or even someone from C-ute/Berryz, as it seems MM will have stable members for some time)?
I personally don't think she's got much potential, but as I said I do hope they train her well so she can have a future ahead her. If not, there goes another career wasted.

I feel the same way as you, at least :lol: I'm not a huge fan of Ongaku Gatas, though :lol:
But a lot of people do see her as adorable and find her appearance similar to Reina. I do agree she has a cute face, but as for her voice, almost all the other eggs in OG (besides Mutou because we haven't really heard her yet) have much stronger voices than her. It just seems like a REALLY strange move on UFA's part for them to be making her a soloist. I know she's popular, but still... It's so random!

i don't much about this girl but i'm always wish the best for everyone, especially a H!P members. I wish her luck and even if she don't have the skills and talent now to become a soloist. I know that with determination and passion, things will work out. skills can be trained.
with that said, this things is feels kinda too sudden and random.

I also agree that this is random, but I'm still happy with it. If she wasn't put into MM, I at least thought she was going to be put into some new H!P group, not as a soloist. Well anyways, best of luck to her

Mano Erina will be a regular on the daily H!P TV show "Berikyuu".
That way she'll be promoted... among H!P fans only. XD
It will be a good experience for her anyway and her fans get to see much more of her, yay. :D

She's cute but that's all maybe i'm not that much interested in OG to look up at her. IMO it's ok when Tsunku feels to make her as a Soloist why not, but well just not interested in her as other Groups or Members :)

And I think it's a bit deluded to say that other Eggs in Ongaku Gatas are somehow much better than her vocally.
OG has the appeal, but not the vocals. There are people in OG who are vocally stronger than Mano, but that's not saying much.
Back in her graduation, Konno didn't have the beautiful vocals she has know (see her Uta Doki appearances). So there's still chance for Mano, who will probably start getting major trainement and attention so she can have the best case scenario before she debuts, and maybe a few years later she can hold a concert by her own.
How much has Koharu's lack of talent in singing held back her career? Well?
Kirarin has the whole anime thing going for her ("solo" singles, merchandise, all the extra-MM stuff). Koharu is popular as Kirarin. Not so much as Koharu (specially outside Japan). Do we even know what kind of image will Mano have? Aimed at kids (which doesn't insta equal anime stuff, she may get kiddy songs who aren't anime songs), sugary sweet loli stuff, maybe a continuation of the upbeat OG songs? In jpop, an artist's image IS important. In Mano's case... well, wota like young girls. That's why her merchandise sells good. Though if UFA wants to make her a long-term soloist, they better not cater her exclusively to the wota.

This news was surprising and not-so-surprising at the same time. I mean, she does get some attention (even when she was an Egg), but it's still surprising to me. I do hope she gets better at singing and has a good career, though.

Because out of all the Eggs, she makes the most sense from a marketing point of view!
I don't know if anyone here has access to any of HP's merchandise sales from the official stores. But Erina Mano is the highest selling HP egg and that alone is a good marketing point. After all HP is a business at the end of the day.
On a personal level im delighted for her but also disappointed that she is no longer part of Onagaku Gatas. I hope it all works out well for her the group should be fine even without her.

She's my one and only favorite egg (almost)... And for some reason I'm more sad that she's graduation from OG then excited that she's going solo. :-\
I think it's because it was her that really wanted me to see more of OG, now I can't say I'm to excited about them anymore. :O
She'll be great as a solo though, I know it. :D

^ She hasn't officially debuted as a soloist (she hasn't released any singles) and she's not in Ongaku Gatas, so they probably put her down there until she debuts.
